Freight Unit Creation Based on Container Counts

Dear TM Experts,
This is an sale order scenario. We have a requirement where customer needs material in either 20 foot or 40 foot or both (20 & 40 foot) containers.
In SAP ECC while creating sales order business will enter count of 20 foot or 40 foot or both (20 & 40 foot) containers are required to ship the materials in text field.
How can we use this to determine our freight unit creation for all above 3 scenarios.
1. complete material is required in 20 foot containers
2. complete material is required in 40 foot containers
3. partial material is required in 20 foot and remaining in 40 foot containers
I do not have any clue how can we meet this requirements.
can any one please guide me how to meet this requirements.
1. Can we make use of text field of sale order while defining condition rules to determine the FUBR
2. I believe text field of sale order do not flow to SAP TM while creating a OBTR. For such situations can i enhance the sale order VA01 to maintain count of 20 foot & 40 foot in ecc while creating a sale order. Using this enhanced field i will enhance SAP ECC & SAP TM Interface structure to capture data from ecc & get to SAP TM system
3. For above situation do i need to make use of Conditions, Condition Types and Data Access Definitions?
4. Can we determine a more then FUBR rule for creating the FU's against single OBTR
Thanks in advance.

Md.Rafi

HI,
I hope your Issue can be solved using the Condition type & Scale settings.
I.e Maintain your Freight condition type settings to calculate based on Volume (cal type).
Now if you want different price bands based on volume then you can use the concept of scales.
Maintain the scale settings Such as Scale basis, scale type etc.
Hope it helps.

  • Service order creation based on counter reading assigned to the Ibase.

    Hi All,
I've created a service contract (ZXXX) with the item category (ZIT1) of service plan.
In the item category (ZIT1) definition i've copied the standard item cat. of service plan (SPLA) and assigned the standard date profile SERVPLAN to the item category.
Requirement - Service order has to be created automatically if the counter reading assigned to the Ibase is greater than counter reading that is maintained in the service plan template that is assigned to the service plan product(Item) in the service contract transaction.
    Master Data -
Service Interval Template - Created service plan template for counter based interval and maintained the interval as 100HR.
Assigned the template to service plan product(item) which is assigned in the service contract.
Created a counter ID and assigned the counter to the Ibase.
In the item date profile SERVPLAN , I've assigned the date rule (Planned time based on the counter reading) to 'Release date' date type.
In the item action profile ., Action is defined as it should create a service order (ZSER) with the template defined in the item if the (Release date =< today's date) as start condition.
I've maintained the complete master data.
Now Release date should be picked based on the counter reading of the Ibase assigned to the service plan item in the service contract.
If Ibase counter reading > counter reading maintained in the interval the release date = todays date.
If Ibase counter reading < counter reading maintained in the interval the release date = future date.
which is not happening now in my case. service order is getting created even the counter reading of Ibase is less than the interval.
Please let me know if further more changes to be done to map the scenario.
    Thanks
    Syam

    Hello,
    I found the following:
If you fill someting in the fields REFOBJ_IBASE, this value is being converted into a GUID internally
    This happens in function CRM_BSP_OIC_1O_SEARCH_FROM_RF
So you have to make sure that the search field REFOBJ_IBASE points towards the field CRMD_SRV_REFOBJ~GUID_OBJECT ( via table CRMC_REPDY )
And even then I have the impression it only works when you only fill the Ibase in the order. When you fill the component there is a different GUID.
In my case I found out it is even more complex, so I will need to create my own search field (extend search structure )

  • How to automatically build freight unit?

    Hi guys,
I'm learning SAP TM, playing around feight unit.
But I'm not clear about the whole picture here.
In fwo type customizing, I can check the "Automatic Freight Unit Building"  flag and assign a default FUBR.
But how the system is going to automatically build the freight unit of a FWO?
And in FUBR creation, I'll specify some strategies and quantity stuff. There's not a field where I can specify which FU type to use.
So how is FWO, FUBR and FU type linked together?
I tried to create a fwo, but there's no fu built. what's the preconditions for the system to build FU automatically?

    Hi Aaron,
When the FWO saving, it would build the freight unit auotmatically.
The filed "Document Type" in FUBR is used to specify the FU type.
So the FWO build the FU base on the FUBR which maintain in the FWO type.
    Useful link for FUBR :

  • Freight Unit is invisible in SCM

    Dear Experts,
We have an issue with one of the FU (STO), Intially when the freight unit(STO) is created in R/3,  it has been sent to SCM. However the  delivery for the STO is not transfered to SCM. The optimization profile did not show the FU(Delivery for the STO). Does anybody has any ideas on the root cause of this issue? Please advice.
    Thanks,
    Ramesh.

    Hi Ramesh,
There could be multiple reasons for this as under
    1) I hope the delivery is available in APO and is open yet.
    2) You have selected necessary order type in optimizer profile for this delivery to appear
    3) The delivery is not contained in shipment.
You can also try putting the delivery number directly on TP/VS screen in order number filed just to check that it appears in interactive planning screen

  • Freight Unit Building rule isn't used when FWO is automatically created via PI

a freight unit building rule is created and attached to the forwarding order configuration , When forwarding order is created manually , Freight unit building rule is picked up automatically , and freight units are created based on such definition.
When Forwarding order is created via PI , the freight unit building rule isn't picked , I need it to be picked in all cases.

    Hello,
You can check your condition /SCMTMS/FWO_TYPE and check, which  type FWO was generated by PI. If you have more than 1 type.
Maybe you FUBR was assigned in FWO type 2 and PI creates FWO type 1 (Standard selection).
    Could you check this?

  • Freight units Created By

We have a requirement to populate the created by user ID for Freight units in a custom report.
I could able to identify the sales order, shipments, However I didnt find any table for the deliveries.
Is there a table available to capture this information for the deliveries in SCM?
    Thanks,
    Ramesh

    Hi Ramesh,
Please check the structure /SAPAPO/RRP_ORDREQ_STR.  This
contains the delivery number related data.
The component APPLI which contains the component type
/SAPAPO/RRP_APO_APPLI contains the Application in SAP APO
    that Created the Order

Someone know how a process or class for this?

    Hello Experts.
    myself solved this problem.
I have found that this process, the creation of these FUs are held by another process, assyncroned in backgound.
Through of FM /SCMTMS/TOR_PROC_STRAT_ASYNC, I create a enhancement point with my code and solved this.
Thanks and hope to have someone help with this topic.

  • Delivery Creation based on Backdate stock

    Hi
Could anyone advise the procedure to have the delivery creation based on the back dated stock.
IN DETAIIL detail The system should be able to allocate stock in sales order shedule line item based on the back date of last week (example) stock avilablity,  though today no system level inventory due to goods movement.
Appreciated if could advise in detail.
    Regards
    RG

    Provide with an example.
At present system checks the stock which is posted in backdate,
To determine confirmed delivery date, Backward scheduling performed first , if not derived the req del date, then system does forward scheduling- which is a std functionality

  • Link between Delivery Line Item to DTR Line Item to Freight Unit Number?

    Dear All,
I am creating DTR with reference to delivery from ECC. As per my logic in FUBR, I am creating separate Freight Unit for every DTR line item.
Now how to identify (At Table Level) that which DTR line item belongs to which Delivery Line Item?
Also how to determine which Freight Unit belongs to which DTR Line item?
Request to please share the above flow at table level in SAP TM System.
    Regards,
    Vibhu Gupta

    Hi Vibhu,
First, you know which DTR item you have on hand and then you can find the corresponding FU item by association(TOR ITEM from TRQ item to FU item), after retrieving the data of FU item you can find the root key of every result data entry(FU item data) and you can also get the DTR item key/FU item key pair(which DTR item/which FU item), actually the root key is the FU root key, then you can user service manager to retrieve the root data of corresponding FU root key.
    Hope this helps.

  • Freight Units Line item Quantity

    **Hello All,**
**We have a requirement to extract the Freight unit line item quantity. Is there a table available in SCM capturing this data. The freight units that we are using in this custom report is Sales orders and Purchase orders.**
**Please let me know if you know the table name.**
    **Thanks.**
    **Ramesh**

    Hi Ramesh,
Use the structure /SCWM/S_ASP_VEH which carries
many tables.  Field name FRD_NUM denotes the
    freight document number.
If you want additional information, use the tables under
this structure to build your custom report.

  • Block sales order creation based on material qty

    Hi,
In my scenario i want to block the sales order creation based on material qty , how i can do this?
    Example:
Material qty below 100 = able to create sales order
Material qty above 100 = not able to create SO
    Thanks,
    Arun

    Hi
For restricting the order if it is less than a specified qty, you can maintain the 'min order qty' in material master.
But your requirement is the other way round - Restrict order if it is more than specified qty.
In this case, you need to use the following sales order exit  in progran MV45AFZZ
    u2022     USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE
Use this user exit to make certain changes or checks immediately before saving a document. It is the last possibility for changing or checking a document before posting.
The user exit is carried out at the beginning of the FORM routine BELEG_SICHERN.
    Hope this helps.

  • Automatic lot creation based on time Frequency

    Hi,
For 01 inspection incoming inspection ,
F or  certified vendors, without inspection , material is getting posted to UUS without lot creation. ( QI info record settings).
but for this case , business requirement is to get automatic lot creation based on time like 6 months once .
Automatic lot to be created for this certified vendor on time frequency basis. how to trigger this Lot creation based on time.
    Help.
    VV.

    Hi,
In std SAP we dont have option of generating Automatic lot creation based on periodic basis. But we can provide some workaround soultion.
    Option 1:
USe Source Insepction concept. Here Inspection lot will be created for every P.O. Here u can relase P.O line items in QI07 which can sceduled in Job planning on periodic basis. Use Skip inspection lot concept to skip unwanted lots. This has direct relation with Q-Info record.
    Option 2:
U can generate automatic lot creation based on Stability study concept. Here are the following steps
    Initiate Stablility study
    Create Initial sample
    Perform intial test
    Confirm initail sample
    stability planning
    Define storage condition
    create testing schedule
    store stability sample
    define cycle start
    schedule
    complete stability study.
    Option 3:
To get Automatic lot creation u can use BAPI QPL1_INSPECTION_LOT_CREATE . When a due date come for inspection,it created a lot of 01 / Z-01 inspection type automatically through QA01( call the program ,enter the inspection lot origin & material, vendor & save). Create Z-T code which has vendor material plant combination.
Execute the above T-code based on Periodic basis.
Explore above 3 options and choose best one according to ur requirements.

Can any one know how to get this thing.
any help or idea is appreciable.

    Giri,
I don't think you will find such a link. One country can be used by multiple operating units.

  • Freight units / Deliveries with zero quantities in TPVS

    Hi Gurus,
we are prototyping TPVS  optimizer but facing one problem of zero quantity for freight units in Transfer orders  to OLTP / OLTP generation of deliveries.
Reason in the log says requested quantity not completely available but there is plenty of stock.
if we go ahead in TPVS and create delivery then delivery will have zero qty,  for the same sales order if we create delivery in ECC then there is no issue.
    Thanks,
    kumar

    Hi Rax,
Please check /sapapo/cp1 whether you have assigned the Publication type 340 for deliveries and 330 for shipments for the deliverying location (plant or DC) and logical system of R/3.
Please Check Interface settings assign R/3 logical system and shipment type for the Means of transport and the shipment will be outbound. Mapping of APO means of transport (Transportation resource) assigned to R/3 means of transport (Vehicle).
If these settings are fine then it should work.
    Please revert for query.
    I hope this helps you.
