2007 MacBook, Problem Loading The OS X Disc

Hello all, I am fairly new to using Macs so I am hoping this issue is just a simple resolve for most of you...
A few weeks ago my MacBook froze up while I was on the internet (fantasy football draft to be exact). The colorful spinning wheel came up so I figured it would work itself out and be fine. After 20 minutes of this I decided to just power the MacBook down using the power button. So I did that and when I went to restart it, it wouldn't load past the grey Apple screen with the circular loading graphic. So I mildly freaked out upon seeing this and after not being able to find any help that was working decided to take matters in to my own hands...which was a mistake.
Ultimately that isn't the issue I'm facing now so I'll just go through the bones of what I did. Basically I turned the MyMac part of the hard drive in to the Mac OSX disc (stupid yes I know). I took it to apple care but they would not look at it since it was too old, but the guy thought it was the hard drive. I didn't think this to be true because the CPU still verified the hard drive being intact.
So I took it to a local computer repair place where the guy confirmed that it wasn't an issue with the hard drive but that I had made it so that when the computer goes to boot, it tries to from the OS X cd, even if it isn't in the drive. He said he could fix it for $150 and that he had to just basically re set up the OS. I decided against paying that much to do it because I figured I could find the steps online.
After some searching I was able to find how to delete that partition on the hard drive. And I have done so and now the computer boots up to the Mac OS X utility page instead of the CD.
The issue I am facing now is that when I put the CD into the drive, it acts as though its gonna load but then the MacBook just shuts down, black screen and all. I have tried loading it by holding down C, and also by selecting it after holding down Option, but it just does the same thing. I had loaded the disc before any of this happened so I don't believe it is an issue with the actual CD.
This is driving me nuts because I feel like I am pretty close to getting this thing back and up and running, but this bump stands in the way. One of the weird things to me is that when it loads the Mac OS X Utility, it gives me the option to install Mountain Lion, which is not what I had or use...but when I click it, it says it needs to be connected to the internet.
I know this was a pretty long winded post, so I apologize in advance for that. I just desperately hoping someone on here can assist me or direct me to where there is a post involving the same problem ( I could not find one). Thanks in advance people!!

Sorry, what I meant was that where it says "Mac OS X Install DVD" is where it's suppose to be the "MyMac" part. And when I first made the mistake of switching it, the computer would boot up as if the install DVD was in it, even when it wasnt. So when I say that I erased it, I mean I deleted that part, in hopes of making it not boot as the DVD. And now it doesnt, but only boots to Mac OS X Utilities.
I have the Mac OS X Snow Leopard Version 10.6.3 DVD for it.
When I click on the "disk1" it looks like this, I clicked each of the options also to show...
And when I click on the main Hard Drive thing on the Utility screen, this is what comes up under the partition which has me mildly concerned...

No, sorry. it won't work with the 2007 MBP. You can replace the optical drive yourself - just go shopping at OWC.

Problems loading the SCCM 2007 R2 console

One of our clients has been having problems loading the SCCM 2007 R2 console. When you open the console it returns the following error:
“The ConfigMgr console could not connect to the ConfigMgr site database. Verify that this computer has network connectivity to the SMS Provider computer and that your user account has Remote Activation permissions on both the ConfigMgr
site server and SMS Provider computers. For more information, see “”How to Configure DCOM Permissions for Configuration Manager Console””
We have checked the permissions of WMI and DCOM, and everything is configured as it should be:

The SmsAdminUI.log is logging the following error each time that we start the ConfigMgr console:
SQLMessage = "[HY018][11][Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]General network error. Check your network documentation.";
The same error is logged in the smsprov.log:
SQL Error: [HY018][11][Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]General network error. Check your network documentation.
Can't create instance of CSecuredSource for SMS_Site [HY018][11][Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]General network error. Check your network documentation.
The infrastructure is made of 2 servers:
1 Server with all the SCCM roles: Primary Site Server, SMS Provider, Distribution Point, etc.
1 Server which holds the site database: this server is hosting databases of other applications, and these other applications are working without any kind of problem.
The firewall on both servers is down. There is no firewall device between those servers.
Those servers are VMs hosted in a Hyper-V CSV Cluster.
I would appreciate all the help that you can provide me with this incident.

To grant Remote Activation permissions to the SMS Admins group
From the Start menu, click Run and type Dcomcnfg.exe.
In Component Services, click Console root, expand Component Services, expand Computers, and then click My
Computer. On the Action menu, click Properties.
In the My Computer Properties dialog box, on the COM Security tab, in the Launch and Activation Permissions section,
click Edit Limits.
In the Launch Permissions dialog box, click Add.
In the Select User, Computers, or Groups dialog box, in the Enter the object names to select (examples): box, type SMS Admins and
click OK.
In the Permissions for SMS Admins section, select the check box to allow Remote Activation.
Click OK twice, and then close Computer Management.

Boot from your installer disc. If the problem is still present, then take it in for service.

A lot of tabs loads and tells me there was a problem loading the page. How can I stop all the tabs loading because ist slows down Firefox.

Delete [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.

Is anyone having problems loading the newest version of iTunes (10.6.3) using Windows Vista? My current iTunes program version 10.6.1 keeps telling me there is an update but when I try to load it the information box goes away and nothing happens. I have tried downloading the new version from Apple web site but it brings up a warning screen of " iTunes setup.exe is not commonly downloaded and could harm your computer." I find that I can log into iCloud with no problem but after, that every time I try to open an app I get the message
"there was a problem loading the application"
I'm using Safari 7.0.5
This has been going on for quite some time and during that period I've read many threads and followed various trouble shooting guides but I can't solve it. I really would appreciate any suggestions that you might care to offer.

Downloading Safari 5.1.7 will work, or at least that's how I now access iCloud and run the Apps. IE9 64-bit will also work. On my system it appears that IE9 32-bit has a problem with iCloud due to Norton Internet Security. When Norton's "Browser Protection" is disabled, IE9 32-bit works for me.
With Safari, I set its Homepage to iCloud so I'd have a direct link to the iCloud website.

I am getting error message when opening ASO outline on edit mode in EAS 7.1.5 version. EAS server using weblogic and MYSql.
Error Message:

Please let me know if any have experienced same issue or any suggestions.

That error is documented as:
##1250005 Error [%s] Creating Environment For Outline Paging File: %s
It sounds like it may be an issue with your temp directories (disk space?) as I believe it is going to copy the outline to a temp directory locally before opening it. That is where I would start looking..

Had the same problem and the same message -- was suddenly unable to access icloud apps on my pc, also using Windows 7 and Internet Explorer. After several days of pulling my hair out, decided to try a different browser and was able to get in by using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. Hope this helps.

I can see that there are five emails waiting for me.
Any thoughts on what's going wrong, please?

Open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Mail then reselect it.
Then try accessing your mail.
It may take a minute or two for iCloud to re sync the data.
