3GS lost power now no internet

Hi this is the second time this has happened to my 3GS. The battery ran out and after recharging i lost the ability to connect to internet or any data connection without wifi. I had to restore from back up last time.
this is very infuriating as the ability to use the internet was themain reason i bought this phone.
My PC is currently down so cant restore it just yet.
any other suggestions?

Did you try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button until you see the Apple logo? If you have access to your computer again, try to restore "as new iphone" if the problem still exists after the reset.

Try forgetting the Wi-Fi network and then joining it again, just tap Settings > Wi-Fi > the arrow next to your network > Forget this Network, then join the network again.

Try resetting your preferences.
Hold down Ctrl Shift Alt keys, then start Photoshop. You should get a reset dialog.
If that somehow doesn't work, use Windows System Restore to go back to an earlier system state before this happened.

Lost Power - Now Project Won't Open!

I'm working on an iMac (10.10.2) with an external hard drive.
I was working on the project and some construction next door caused the power to go out. Now the project won't open. Every time I try to open it, the program crashes. I can open other projects from the same hard drive, just not the project that I was working on.

IIf that opens, then go into the Original Media folders and look through all the clips and see if they're OK. Any clip that has an actual image that appears in the Finder should be OK. Any clip that has a generic QT icon may be corrupted. See if it will open in the QT player. You can also use QuickLook in the Finder and step through the files in the list to see if the run.
if you were titling also check through all the Fonts on your system and make sure none have generic document icons.

Lost power, now all my pictures are gone, can I recover?

I was adjusting the monitor and the back plug popped out. When I restarted my desktop picture had changed to a default picture. I went in to fix it and there were no pictures in my picture folder. My picture folder is gone from my finder window. I can find it through various searches but the folder is empty! Im not sure if it has been gone since I upgraded to Yosmite..Is there a way to find where my pictures went or recover?

How is your backup habits?
Besides TimeMachine, having a 2nd backup either with the system or not, and either including archived changes of files or not, is always wise decision. Drives fail and while it is possible with that iMac it is more trouble.
At first I thought, oh, a power outage and no UPS? but a UPS won't help when the plug comes out.
Trouble is, the system keeps the directory of where files are stored in memory and then flushes those changes out and updates the directory.
I would NOT use or change or touch the drive as it is. So hopefully you do have a bootable backup. Or at least don't use anything more than Recovery Mode. And while there, use RESTORE to copy the system volume and its data to another drive; or, install OS X to another drive - can also work.
Because from there, you can do more repairs and maintenance - one instance where might need to, like Disk Warrior, but also try the v. 4.x demo of Data Rescue 4 to see if those files can be found. you would then use a 2nd partition on that external drive that is empty and recover files to it.
If that does not make sense, try to help make it so. But don't use the drive for now as is. Get the system booting off another drive - or if you have another Mac you can use.

Lost power, now computer won't start

The power to my computer was accidentally disconnected while the computer was on. Now when I try to turn it on again it gets stuck on the white screen with the apple sign and the circel thinking wheel thingy. Don't know what's wrong and why it won't get past that point...

reset smc, unplug all the cables to your iMac then plug it back again after 15 secs.
reset pram, when you turn on the machine press option + command + P + R hold it down until you hear 3 chimes then let go
If it won't get pass the apple and spinning gear then boot from the OS X CD and repair the disks

Lost localhost now all internet access

Recently I wanted to set up a webserver so I demo'ed Mamp pro, didnt like it so moved onto Xampp and finally decided to use the one built into snow leopard. It works well and i'm pleased with it.But since then, and it may be unrelated, I've had a problem accessing localhost:8080 on Safari. I have a small app running a server on that port and the past year or more I've been able to access the front end of the app by localhost:8080. Now I cannot it gives the cannot find localhost server error. I did lots of surfing to find the answer but never found an answer.
This morning it was still unresponsive on Safari but I tried it on Google Chrome and it worked. I decided that it must be Safari at fault so I opened up timemachine and restored safari from a month ago..typed in localhost:8080 and it worked, I was well happy. But now sad because localhost is the only address that works . I have no internet access, all external address fail with the server not found error. Safari & Chrome the same.
Please help..
If I updated to Lion would that resolve the problem??

Recheck the policies again you have set...Might be the settings are not correct..Check this link for setting Access Restriction.

I've tried it but since I'm using a USB disk drive it keeps freezing up or showing you a folder blinking folder with a question mark. (?). When I start the mac up I hold the control button until the Mac OS install disk shows up. My hard drive doesn't show up anymore. Is there any other button I have to hold down to bring a different menu up. I have also tried to boot up holding control and C and nothing happens. Thanks for the help so far

Check the Trash in your home folder. If that hasn;t been emptied they could be there.
If not then you might have luck using a file recovery program but for that to have any chance of success you need to stop using your computer immediately. The more you use it the mote likely that the disk space were the photos still might be will be used by the OS for other purposes and then they will be truly gone.
BTW just to make sure you don;t have any backups right?

To start can I please have you click here to download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool. This Tool will run on your computer and 'fix printing' issues for you. Should any driver, software or connection conflicts be found than the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool will attempt to resolve the conflicts for you. There is the likelihood that when the computer shut down during the in progress print that print job became corrupted in the Print Spooler of the computer. The Print Spooler is the print system on your computer and controls all printing no matter the make or model of printer. The job can remain corrupted and stuck in the Print Spooler even after printing. Ideally, if any Print Spooler corruptions are found the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool will resolve those corruptions.

Air port system has lost power to pick up wireless internet.

Not sure if i am in the right area for this question as first time on this computer, but i have a older g5 iMac computer. The problem i am having is my wireless internet is extremely weak. Obviously at first i did not think that it was the computers problem but the internet i was feeding off, but this is not the case. Many laptops and other wireless computers work in my room, but not my desktop. I think the airport has lost power and cannot connect to the internet properly and sometimes when connecting it always say connection timed out.
Has anyone got any responses to this that might point me in the right direction of the cause of the problem. Anything said would be a great help.

I am also having a similar problem. I have a time capsule that works fine with other computers WiFi. I have temporarily hooked up a "hard line" ethernet to my iMac from the TC. The internet is very fast but when I unplug the ethernet line and use only the airport it is very slow. Not to mention, when the backup for the TC turns on everything slows down and the back up takes hours instead of minutes. I also noticed that when I stream music from iTunes to my AXs around the house the music cuts on and off. I first thought the TC was bad and was not sending out a single, but as I stated above, other laptops work just fine. So, can the airport card be replaced in an iMac G5 power PC? I realize iMacs are not supposed to upgradable like a Pro but can it be repaired? Also, if the card can be replaced can if be upgraded to a faster N card? My next step is to take it in to the Genius Bar, but I really don't want to unplug everything and take it to the Apple store if I don't have to. Thanks.

After admittedly only a quick read the one thing you don't say is how you are trying to make this move. Most people with moving library issues do it the wrong way. Plenty of web sites tell you how to do it the wrong way.
If the iTunes application is started before the drive with the library is fully mounted and awake iTunes will revert back to the internal drive.

Router Lost Connection to the Internet

Ok, my Linksys WRT54G router v2.2 lost connection to the internet today. Right now I am directly plugged into the modem to access this site, for some reason the routing is not picking up the internet connection when connected to the router. I can access the router admin pages through wireless and I cannot seem to figure out what to do. I have done power cycles for both the modem and router in tandem and nothing seems to work. Why is the internet connect not being picked up by the modem? Is there anything I can do? Thank you in advance.

Check the connection first from the Modem directly if getting valid Ip .... connect the router & try this setting ....
Access setup page of router ....
On the main setup page the ""Internet Connection Type"" should be
on ""Obtain IP Automatically - DHCP “. Click on the Save Settings
button.
Now click on the sub tab ""MAC address clone"".
- Click on enable
Click Clone & click save settings
Check WAN Ip on Status page of router ....
If getting Valid Ip .... try going online

Your phone has "told" you it was dying; you didn't listen. You ignored the broken power button, you ignored the frequent crashing, and now your battery is probably dead. And despite this, you never thought to import the "important" pictures and data off your phone?
If you cant turn on the phone or get it recognized in iTunes, there's no way to access the data.
