4.6 C Project coped to -- ECC 6.0

I am new to LSMW.
I have copied one project from 4.6 C to ECC 6.0.
The lsmw worked fine in 4.6C with lsmw and vd02...
however I got a problem in ECC 6.0 , the lsmw is not updated .
Also vd02 looks different , in between vd02 and via LSMW in both in 4.6c and ECC.
But 4.6c is working fine and with we ECC got problem .
Kindly help me.

It worked in ECC 6.0 in development server. when we moved this to quality, and testing we got this problem.
Do you still feel , this is issue of version ? i don't know... ia m asking as I am not aware of this.

Is there a way to get Web Dynpro ABAP available in a ECC 5 - NW2004 env?

We will start developing an offline Adobe interactive form with email functionality for ECC 5 on very short terms. We have to decide asap what client/server configuration we will use for this new functionality. We will also develop an online interactive form and an offline form with upload/download functionality for ECC 5. We will have to setup a client/server configuration that supports all 3 scenario's.
The main reason we would like to have NW2004S available for ECC 5 is because we would like to develop the forms in Web Dynpro ABAP instead of Java. Guided Procedures is a "nice to have" too, but not really important at this moment.
At this moment we think we have 3 options:
1. Investigate if we can make an Adobe solution in WDA for ECC 5 with our current setup
2. Upgrade ECC 5 - NW 2004 -> NW 2004S to get WDA functionality available
3. Install ADS for NW 2004 to be able to create Adobe solutions in ECC 5, then we will have to develop in WDJ
1. We have the following configuration up and running: NW2004S - CRM 5 and ADS installed: both Java and ABAP stack work properly. We are wondering if we could develop an Adobe interactive form in Web Dynpro ABAP in CRM 5 using BAPI's to retrieve the data from ECC 5 and put it on the form for display or update purposes. Also we have questions about the email functionality: do forms have to be send by email via a mailserver from ECC 5 via CRM 5 and back or can this be done directly from and to ECC 5 or is it not possible at all? Also we don't know if we can develop an online interactive form for ECC 5 via CRM 5. The current setup is not a real option for us right now as we see far too many uncertainties. Does somebody can give us some answers on the possibilities we are looking for?
2. My assumption is that upgrading ECC5 to ECC6 can be compared with upgrading 46C to ECC5. If my assumption is correct, this would mean an upgrade project with a 6 months leadtime within our company. If my assumption is wrong, please let me know. This upgrade will happen some day, but it has not been planned for 2007. So unfortunately, for us this is not an option at the moment because we cannot wait that long. I was hoping an upgrade of NW2004 -> NW2004s was not that time consuming but I guess this can be compared with a SAP upgrade project like 46C -> ECC 5.
3. Installing Adobe Document Services for NW2004 is not our preferred solution but we think it is the safest/easiest solution at this moment to get started with Adobe interactive forms for ECC 5 on short terms. We will have to develop in Web Dynpro for Java, so be it.
WDA is not a must but if we can find a client/server setup which gives us the possibility to build in WDA for ECC 5 functionality, that would be great. That's why I dropped the question on SDN. I want to be sure we choose the best option possible at this moment for us.

Yesterday I got new information through SDN which sounds very interesting:
There are technical repository integration points between ECC and the underlying SAP NetWeaver release. To get Web Dynpro for ABAP, you could install a stand-alone SAP NetWeaver 2004s system (without ERP) side-by-side.
Somebody else wrote: we set up a 3-system landscape of NW04s and have configured single sign on and trusted RFC's so that users can hit the webdynpro pages via the portal, and those systems make the necessary queries to the backend systems via RFC.
Does somebody know if this stand-alone system could be a proper solution for our situation? Does somebody foresee any problems related to Adobe LiveCycleDesigner or ADS?

ECCS- CX0AA- Default Values for Characteristics

Hello All,
I have an issue in my project concerned with ECCS.
We have maintained default values in CX0AA say we have maintained CCA (Sub Item Category) with a particular default value, now this default value has to be removed and even the Sub item Category CCA has to be removed from CX0AA. I tried it by the transaction code CX0A1, but I am unable to do it.
Can any one please let me know how to remove this default value maintainance in complete from CX0AA.

looks like an extension to add additional fields for consolidation below the standard SAP delivered ones for master data like items and subitems. it may well be dead end for development as EC-CS is being superseded by SEM-BCS and possibly some reincarnation of Business Objects.

Regarding project activity scheduling based on the personnel resource

I need one help from you guys. Before explaining the problem let me tell you all the scenario. We are implementing Project system Version ECC 6.0. We have a requirement of our client that the activity duration to be changed according to the availablity of the personnel resources attached to it. We don't have HR implementation here. I have already tried with the help of calculation key setting to 'calculate Duration' to get the activity duration automatically. But customer wants as per the availability of the personnel, activity duration should get adjusted.

Hi,
I do not think it is possible. SAP's logic is to do capacity planning based on the 'work' and 'activity duration'. Hence the requirement of deciding "activity duration' based on available capanity (read man power) is just the opposite of the fundamental logic.
Further, project, by basic defintion, is an entity with definite start and end dates. Hence if you allow available capacity to decide the duration of activity and consequently the project duration, the project end date becomes indefinite and a totally dependent entity.
I do not think any system will support it.
This, I want to clarify, is based on my limited understanding, and not based on any SAP documentation

I am figuring out a solution for how to influence WBS element status in Project Systems in ECC from the campaign/Marketing plan status in CRM. Has anyone done it before or is there any BADI for it.

Multiple ECC to one PI architecture

Hi SDN Experts,
We are in a test phase of a project and facing some architectural issue.
My Client XX has 2 ECC tracks and already one project (P1) with few interfaces gone live.
Existing project (P1) landscape is:
PR1 (Dev) -> PR2 (PPD) ->PR3 (Prod)
For the new project (R1), client has asked to use the new ECC track:
ECC1 (Dev) -> ECC2(Test)-> PR3 (Prod)
PI landscape:
PIB (Dev) -> PIC (PPD) -> PID (Prod)
For project P1, Live interfaces in PI (w.r.t. ECC) use the following BSu2019s:
BS_ECC_PR1_DEV -> BS_ECC_PR2_PPD -> BS_ECC_PR3_PRD
Project R1 interfaces in PI (w.r.t. ECC) uses the following BSu2019s:
BS_ECC1_DEV -> BS_ECC2_PPD -> BS_ECC_PR3_PRD
Points to note:
1)The rule here is once a project goes live, the ABAP development moves to P1 track and so after goe live for any change request or defect of R1 we need to connect PIB system to PR system( P1 project business system).
2)We are in test phase of project R1. Currently all interfaces are configured with EERP system and not a single interface of project R1 has ID configured with PR system.
This is little tricky to understood, i am not sure if i have explained it correctly.
I hope some of you might have already experienced such kind of issue, so i request you to spend some of your valuable time and let me know what is the best way to solve this considering the following:-
1) For all project the final ECC production system is same and a single business system (BS_ECC_PR3_PRD) needs to be used.
2) Project P1 is already live with 10 interfaces.
3) Project R1 is in end of test phase and we have more than 100 interface (with IDoc, proxy etc)
4) Minimum effort and without touching existing live interfaces.

Well.. we have another twist here   . .
In QA for the project track we have 3 separate ECC system.
ECC21(System Test)
ECC22( Integration Test) and
ECC23( UAT).
so the question i have here is
1) is it possible to define a 1:n transport target in SLD?
            ECC21
ECC1   -- ECC22
           ECC23
2) if option 1 is possible, then do we need to create 4 seperate configuration object for all interface?
3) Will the configuration objects for ECC21,ECC22 and ECC23 will be created automatically in QA , or manually need to be created?

CProjects 4.0 - SAP R/3 4.7 - Accounting Integration problem.

Dear all,
I have performed all steps necesaary for accounting integration in cProjects and SAP R/3 FI System.
I can even see and assign the cost rate that I have created in cProjects to a project role.
System also calculates the cost for the role multiplyin the cost rate with the number of hours the resource has been assigned.
However, it also displays the following warning messages:
1. An error occurred in Accounting (system QASCLNT777)
2. Function module "IAOM_CPRO_MISC_RFC_CPDEF_CHECK" not found.
3. No cost center could be determined for organizational unit 00000000
4. Maintain a revenue element for cost/revenue rate ZZ_000001
5. Error occurred in accounting - check the costing in the ERP system
When I execute the transaction COCPCPR in R/3 system, I cannot see the internal order, but see the project name under "Internal Orders not created"

Hi reema, if we refer to the documentation pertaining to accounting integration for cProjects 4.0, we see that the prerequisities is ECC 6.0
Please see below from the help documentation
Integration
To be able to use the functions of accounting integration, you have to implement the Internal Orders (CO-OM-OPA) application component and Project System (PS) in SAP ECC 6.0.
Prerequisites
You need to make a number of Customizing settings in both the Collaboration Projects and SAP ECC Implementation Guides (IMG):

You selected the Controlling in mySAP ERP setting in Customizing for Collaboration Projects under Connection to External Systems ® Accounting Integration ® Activate Integration as the Accounting Integration Scenario.
I feel the error messages are thrown because you are using SAP R/3 4.7. I see from the SAP notes, for CATS integration with cProjects 4.0 and SAP R/3, SAP consulting is available, but nothing is mentioned for accounting integration.

DB Copy (MSSQL) between two SAP systems with different level and Components

Hi,
we have a SAP system release mysap 2004 SR1 and for "the upgrade project to SAP ECC 6.0 " we installed a new mysap 2004 in a new hardware (sap03) where we have also solution manager running. The new installed Mysap 2004 SR1 is alos running fine in the new hardware.
Now we would like to do DB copy from the old system (sap02) to the the new system sap03 and then we will do the upgrade to SAP ECC 6.0.
After I compared the two systems I have following questions:
1) there are 4 Software Components which are not in the new system (sap03). This are:
PI
FIN_BLERP
BP_INSTRASS
Is this necesary for the DB copy or we do not need this to be able to do the DB copy?
2) The Software Components Level is not the same. Should we have the same level to do the DB Copy?

just to be clear and to not stuck on the the way:
The systems are as follow:
1) the source system:
                     - Windows Server 2003,
                     - MSSQL Server 2005 with 32 bit.
                     - Mysap 2004 SR1
2) Target system:
                   - Windows Server 2003
                   - MSSQL Server 2005, with 64 bit.
                   - Mysap 2004 SR1 (with less Support package level and no PI, FIN_Basis, BP_BLERP and BP_INTASS coponents)
I hope this will work. could you post the link the DB Copy guide we are talking about?
By this way we will be sure that we are talking about the same DB Copy. Otherwise any mistake in this step will cost more work and time.

Problem in creating Function Module

Hi,
while creating a function (Z_SPELL_AMOUNT_INDIA) one error is coming . the error <b>'SPELL not declared</b> ' is coming. already the Function module is running correctly in different client(another client's place) i am just download the Function module from the existing implementation site and upload the function module in new client's place. both the Projects are mySAP ECC 5.0.
Here first i have created a function group and under the Function group itself i am uploading the FM.
How can i declare the SPELL?
is there any rules to be follow while creating the Function Group?

Before you copy the function module check the following
1. Check the TOP include copied properly or not
2. Check any form routine (if existing) copied or not
3. In the Import, Export & tables if you are pointing to any DDIC structures, check whether they are copied or not.
While activating the function module CHOOSE ALL THE INCLUDES AND FUNCTION GROUP AT A TIME, AND THEN ACTIVATE ALL.

is AS2 adapter is part of BIS or BIC.

Any. Using Seeburger Adapter for EDI communication is not mandatory.

Yes, you can use it to send even EDI files.

To convert EDI-xml file to EDI, you have to use Seeburger BIC module which has to be purchased.

No, it is an adapter module.

Don't get confused between BIC and BIS. BIC is a module and BIS is a separate middleware provided by Seeburger just like PI. You can use BIC module in any channel which supports use of adapter module.

AS2 can come with BIS middleware. It is type of adapter while BIC is module.

For EDI communication, BIC is required (if you don't want to create your own modules). AS2 is required only when some partner demands the use of AS2 protocol for communication.

Purchase Order:
SPRO> Material Management->Purchasing->/Purchase order-->Release procedure ---> Procedure with classification ---> set up procedure with classification ---> double click on Release strategies and Workflow.

Bidding Engine in Classic Scenario

We are implementing SRM7 with Bidding Engine. According to this forum it is possible now to use Direct Procurement (Plan-Driven Procurement) in both Classic and Extended Classic scenario.
However, according to SAP, Bidding Engine can only be used in Extended Classic scenario - is this correct? Can someone please confirm as we are looking to use a Classic Scenario with Direct Procurement and Bidding Engine. Requirement is to have both Project procurement (requisitions from ERP) and shopping cart in SRM, going to Sourcing (RFQ/Bid), and creating the leading PO in ERP, not SRM.

Bidding is possible both in Classic and Extended classic deployements
As of SRM7.0, you can directcly route the PRs (projects/MRP) from ECC to create a RFx in Bidding Engine. You will need activate the relevant SOA service and a BADI to be activated.

BADI for field mapping

Hi,
i am using cProjects and with cProjects i am creating a new project and the same data i want to update in project system in ECC 6.0. As in cProjects 'Project type' field is available and i want to map this Project type field with 'Project profile' field in project system. For this i need to find particular project profile which can be possible by using BADI.
But i don't know exact BADI for this,pl tell me the exact BADI for this.

I do not sure, probably this information will help you:
We use BADI "IAOM_BUSINESS_SCENAR" method CHANGE_PROJECT_PROFILE.
We use this method to change project profile in ERP PS. This method work at moment when automatically creates new PS project from creation cProject project.

I am given the Project of SAP ECC 6 implementation, In that we have to implemment FICO,SD,HR amd MM Module ,
Please let me know what will be hardware configuration of servers , as we are planning to purchase HP Servers .
Secondly Please let me know what is the Use os SAPS in hardware configuration ,
I have used http://service.sap.com/quicksizer, but it doesnot solve the purpose
Can anybody help me in deciding the hardware configuation in step by step way

So to decide the hardware configuration,Please tell what will be the apprx. number of your end users and approx. no of your project team.
This will help decide the hardware config.Also are you planning for Windows or Unix

An error occurred when connecting to the accounting system ID3DEV310

Hi Friends,
We are Implementing collaboration project 4.5 and want to link with project system in ECC 6.0. Both these are in the different servers.
I have done the configuration on both the servers and also maintain the RFC (ID3DEV310) in Object Links.
When I create or open the existing project I get the following error: "An error occurred when connecting to the accounting system ID3DEV310"
Costing Variant taken is PS01 (Project Planning).

I have assigned the RFC destination and web server to the object type: "0WBSELEMENT" only
Also the same has been done for define Object links for accounting integration "0FIN_INT_ERP_PS"
I have entered these specific to PS objects only.
