404 error weblogic cluster with IIS

Hello,
I am using weblogic 10.3.3 clustering with IIS7 redirection. I created iisproxy.ini with following parameters
WebLogicCluster=<hostname>:7001,<hostname2>:7003
ConnectTimeoutSecs=20
ConnectRetrySecs=2.
In this case I am getting 404 error when I try to access my application. If I use
WebLogicHost=<hostname>
WebLogicPort=7001
ConnectTimeoutSecs=20
ConnectRetrySecs=2
then I am able to access the application. even I tried with
WebLogicHost=<hostname>
WebLogicPort=7001
WebLogicCluster=<hostname>:7001,<hostname2>:7003
ConnectTimeoutSecs=20
ConnectRetrySecs=2
I am getting the same 404 error. sometimes I am able to launch the application(after so many restarts), but after few seconds I am getting the same error 404.
Please help me out to resolve this issue.
Thanks in advance

Can I ask you if you find the solution at your problem?
I am facing same problem, I hope you can help me.............................

    We are using Weblogic 8.1.5 with Tangosol 3.3.1 on Linux servers.
    And we added the initializing logic in the servlet's init() method to get all NamedCaches and put into the ServletContext.
    When we start weblogic cluster, the first weblogic member will startup successfully with following messages :

    Many Thanks,

    Hi, Gene
    Thank you for the response. I will send you our full log files and thread dumps.
    I just want to give you more details about our cases :
    1. This only happened without starting cache servers (com.tangosol.net.DefaultCacheServer).
    2. And our application which are running on weblogic cluster will just call "CacheFactory.getCache("XXX")", and running as the Tangosol DataClient.
    3. All weblogic member servers will be up running successfully if our cache servers are up running.
    Also I tried to test another case :
    Suppose all weblogic instances and cache server instances are up running. Now I trying to restart (kill weblogic instance process and restart) one of the weblogic member, It will up running successfully only if add some sleep times after killing weblogic processes and restarting it. Looks like tangosol cluster need certain time to aware the member has left cluster, then the restart process will be successful.
    Questions :
    1. Should we start our weblogic cluster only after cache server cluster is up running ?
    2. How do we decide how many time we should wait before start new process to join the cache cluster ?
    Could you please help to explain this one for me and let us if there anyway we can do to avoid the problem.
    Many Thanks !!!

  • Weblogic Cluster with different hardware

    Hello,
    I want to configure a Bea Weblogic 8.1 Cluster including an itanium and an i686

    I have sucessfully configured a weblogic cluter with 2 Sun servers.
    Now I want to use for my weblogic cluster an itanium server together with an Intel
    i686 server both running on linux with jrockit as jvm.
    Is it possible to do this with different hardware platforms to use in a Weblogic
    Cluster?
    I know that I have to use the same servicepack of WLserver and the same java machine.
    On the itanium system i use Redhat AS and on the i686 system i use redhat es
    Michael

    Yes, this is fine. The only thing you need to watch for is that the system with the least resource is capable of taking over the workload of the system with the larger resources. This will often just be a matter of application configuration or tuning.

  • Weblogic clustering with IIS as web server

              Hi,
              I have two IIS servers and two machines for weblogic. I am planning to have
              a weblogic clustering. I have seen the documentation online. But has some questions
              for which dint find any answers.
              Somewhere on the newsgroup I read , if we will be having IIS proxy-plug in we
              do not need the DNS setup. Is that true ?
              How many IPs and other things I need to do this setup ? What is admin server &
              its role ? configuration how to do it is not avaliable in the documentation.
              Could someone help ?
              Thanks and Regards,

  • Continous HTTP access error logged when using Weblogic Cluster

    I am not sure if this is the right forum for this discussion, but here we go anyways.
    We have created a Weblogic Cluster with one Administration Server and up to 12 Managed Servers. Our Weblogic version is 9.2.
    SSL has been enabled for all Servers and the HTTP Listen Ports are all turned off. The cluster and all applications are working fine and communicating over HTTP as expected, however the logs grow 3MB+ per hour due to an error that repeatedly logged. This error appears to be an attempt by an internal Weblogic process to access some resource over HTTP.
    Here are the various messages received in the logs. There are 3 messages logged per error occurred.
    This first log message is from the domain log (I replaced the hostname/IP info with <PEER>):
    ####<Aug 11, 2008 12:08:46 PM GMT+00:00> <Warning> <Security> <PEER> <ManagedServer7> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <1218456526962> <BEA-090475> <Plaintext data for protocol HTTP was received from peer <PEER> instead of an SSL handshake.>
    This second log message is from the ".out" log from the Administration Server:

    I have searched all over trying to find a solution but with no luck thus far. I have seen some posts about turning on HTTPTunneling and this does seem to prevent the error from occurring, but this is not a solution for us.
    I could really use some help in understanding whats going on and trying to resolve this issue. Our client will make a big deal out of this and will want a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    We had this problem with WebLogic Platform 9.2 MP2, running on Solaris. The patch CR344429 worked fine. The corresponding patch for 9.2 MP3 is CR370091. You can get these patches through Oracle Support.
    A couple of points:
    1. We did not have to set StartScriptEnabled=true for the patch to work. We use the SSL Niode manager.
    2. Using the t3: protocol (-Dweblogic.management.server=t3://<admin server listen address>:<admin server listen port) does stop these exceptions, but causes these warning messages to appear in the administration server log file:
    <Warning> <[STANDBY] ExecuteThread: '5' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <...> <BEA-002637> <Failed to register a disconnect listener because of weblogic.rmi.extensions.DisconnectMonitorUnavailableException: Could not register a DisconnectListener for [weblogic.rmi.internal.BasicRemoteRef ......>

    Hope these comments help.

  • Osb cluster- HTTP proxy service 404 error

    Hi All,
    I have a cluster set up with 2 managed servers. I crated a Any SOAP proxy from sbconsole to test If I can reach managed server form an external service. I do not have front load balancer set yet.
    osb server1: rdoelapp001011:61703
    osb:server2:rdoelapp001013:61703
    admin server : rdoelapp001011:61701
    when I am trying to access http proxy using any of osb server host and port I am getting 404 error ( From the admin console I could see all the servers are running)
    surprisingly I am getting success (200) when I am using admin server host and port.
    That means the proxy is not got deployed to the managed server, it deployed to admin server
    I looked into few weblogic/OSB document, I could not see anything specific regarding deploying HTTP proxy to osb servers in a cluster
    How would I make sure to deploy to the cluster not to admin server
    I also tried creating a file poller proxy to see if I get "Managed server" option to set. But I do not see that option here.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    According to your suggestion, I created a domain from scratch using config wizard with a cluster with two managed server
    I started admin server then started managed server
    I do not have any JMS stuff created/configured yet
    while starting up managed OSB server I am getting below error. I think it is related JMS reporting stuff. In my scenario we do not need any reporting feature.
    How would I disable it? while creating domain I did not select the ckeckbox for reporting. Then where did it come from?
    Please suggest.

  • Weblogic 10.3.2: Under load, system gives 404 error when accessing page

    Hi all,
    I am running Weblogic 10.3.2 with a J2EE EAR deployed against it. I am using JDBC data sources to connect to an Oracle 11g database. I am running on Linux Red Hat 5. The machine has 16 GB RAM and 16 cores of an Intel Xeon processor.
    I have recorded some Grinder scripts to simulate the HTTP requests going back and forth from the web browser to the app server in an attempt to play them back in volume to do some load testing. I am finding that even under relatively moderate load, after some time (say 30-60 minutes) when trying to access the application in my web browser (and in Grinder), I am getting 404 errors.
    The strange thing is that the app server is still running fine and there are no errors thrown in any Weblogic log file. There is nothing wrong in the verbosegc log file and the CPU usage via "sar" is very low. The number of JDBC connections is well below the threshold for concern. Sometimes, if I wait a while (hours or more), it sometimes comes back up and works fine again, until the next worjload hits it. I have studied thread dumps and see nothing unusual.
    I've been very puzzled with this for days. Does anyone else know what might be wrong or something else I could check to get more information?

    Hi, I have the same kind of problem. but when it happens I noticed strange line in the access.log like these ones :
    access.log00003:192.168.104.198 - - [20/Apr/2012:12:16:45 +0200] "ancelActionID=CCACustomerProfile&contactreasonwrapuplaunchable=true&contactCode=&contactType=&contactInformation=&Customer.CustomerNumber=5146990&processheadertitle=&PageState.CaseNumber=&PageState.CaseReference=&caseId=42ceed6436cbd7c70136cf3ea82c3b4a&" 404 0

    As you can see, instead of containiing the HTTP action (GET/POST /someurl HTTP/1.1) it contains part of the url or even part of the Accept http header...
    When your 404 happened did you have those strange entries in your access.log ? Did you succeed in resolving it ?

  • Issue with OWA (404 error)

    Issue with OWA (404 error)
    From the server itself i can use IPv6 https://[fe80::feef:ff56:c498:1f0]/owa - this opens the mailbox.
    https://127.0.0.1/owa - this opens the mailbox
    https://localhost/owa - this results in 404 - File or directory not found
    using https://servername/owa - this results in 404 - file or directory not found
    using https://192.168.10.10 - this results in 404 - file or directory not found
    is this an issue with IIS bindings?
    thanks in advance

    Hi,
    I think you can check the authentication settings in IIS for exchange virtual directories.
    Thanks,

  • 404 errors with welcome file

    Here's a strange one.
    I've successfully deployed a test application
    with welcome-file-list directive as the only
    entry (besides required ?xml and DOCTYPE headers).
    When I attempt to access my page e.g., http://myMachine:port/testApp, the URL
    changes to read http://myMachine:port/testApp/welcome.htm as expected
    but I get 404 errors saying the page cannot be found.
    Web.xml successfully passes my XML parser so I don't think
    that is the problem.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    TC Young

    Hi.
    What's the layout of your webapp directory structure? More to the point,
    your welcome.htm file should be in the root directory of your webapp. Can
    you confirm this is where you have it?
    Also, please post the relevant bits of your web.xml file here.
    Thanks,
    Michael

  • Round Robin was not happening for my cluster with WebLogic Proxy Plugin

              Hi,
              I configured my cluster with software load balancer, HTTPClusterServlet. By default,
              it is load balancing with Round Robin Algorithm. That means one HTTP request
              goes to server1, and the other HTTP request goes to server2. However, it is not
              what I can see no matter for the requests in one HTTP session or not.
              Say I open two browser, and log into my application with two different users,
              one is "cyang", the other is "xpression". Then the HTTP request (for servlet/jsp)
              from two browsers always go to the same server1, server2 is not invoked at all.
              I did see one time, with only one session (one browser with "xPression" user log
              in), the most requests go to server1, suddenly I am brough into log in page, then
              I noticed that the request for "xPression" moved to server2 although server1 is
              still alive. Therefore, at most, I can say it is "Random", rather than "Round
              Robin".
              What is the real meaning for HTTP servlet/jsp load balancing algorithm? Does
              Round Robin mean request go to each server in turns? Does it have to be different
              session or it can be within one session?

    It should be sticky. If not, then bug / config error.

  • Apache Proxy Plugin with SSL in Weblogic Cluster

    Hi,
    I have configured a weblogic cluster and configured SSL. Then I configured the apache plugin to work with the cluster machines with non ssl and worked succesfull but when I configured the ssl communication between apache and weblogic I´m having problems.
    The actual configuration is:
    <Location /spmlws>
    SetHandler weblogic-handler
    WLLogFile /var/log/httpd/tmpweblogic1.log
    DebugConfigInfo ON
    Debug ALL
    KeepAliveEnabled ON
    KeepAliveSecs 15
    WebLogicPort 7002
    SecureProxy ON
    TrustedCAFile /opt/freeware/etc/httpd/conf/trustedCA35cert.pem
    TrustedCAFile /opt/freeware/etc/httpd/conf/trustedCA36cert.pem
    WLProxySSL ON
    RequireSSLHostMatch false
    WebLogicCluster machine35:7002,machine36:7002
    EnforceBasicConstraints false
    </Location>
    The problem is that the plugin always takes the last TrustedCAFile. In this way if machine36 is down the plugin tries to send all the request to machine35 but it takes the TrustedCAFile for the machine36 (/opt/freeware/etc/httpd/conf/trustedCA36cert.pem) hence the apache complains
    [Wed Jun 30 11:13:56 2010] [error] [client 10.19.232.249] ap_proxy: trying GET /spmlws/OIMProvisioning at backend host '10.19.232.97/7002; got exception 'WRITE_ERROR_TO_SERVER [os error=0,  line 796 of ../nsapi/URL.cpp]: '
    What can I do to have multiple TrustedCAFile or to have working the communication between apache and weblogic cluster using SSL?
    thanks in advance

    Acording to the documentation this is not possible.
    One way to achieve the load balancing of n-weblogic servers in cluster using ssl is to configure de HttpClusterServlet.

    any comments?

    Ok ... i have resolved the issue, the problem was traced back to the change of access permissions in the Linux. the weblogic "nodemanager" was being started as root user this was changing the permissions on the folders and files in the /home/oracle. so I changed the startup of nodemanager from root to oracle and with some other changes the objective was achieved..... :)
