6230i pc suite

hi, i just got a dku-2 data cable for my 6230i and when i try to transfer music to it it says no supported phone connected. is there any way that i can transfer music to it or what can i do to fix it?

Try it in a different USB socket - if it's plugged into an extension cable / hub, try plugging it directly into the PC.
Try cleaning the contacts on the 6230i, though be careful not to get them wet or you'll end up damaging the phone lol

Hi all,
i am a total bluetooth noob so please not quick snappy remarks.
I have just got a 6230i and decided to try PC suite 6.8 out.
I have installed everything even my digiconnect bluetooth dongle but cannot get PC suite to see the phone. I just get "cannot use this connection type check that all needed hardware, software and drivers are available."
my setup
Windows XP SP2
MS BlueTooth stack 51.2600.2180
PC Suite 6.8 22 (latest)
Digiconnect BT dongle (Toshiba drivers)
I can connect to the phone via the BT manager that came with the digiconnect dongle but really want to use PC suite. Also the PAn lan or what ever it is says cable disconnected?
What am i doing wrong or what do i need to do. I cannot see the Toshiba stack installed anywhere?
Also in my windows control panel i do not have the Bluetooth icon i have read about, i installed windows on this box before i had a bluetooth phone so maybe i didnt install the BT bit i cant remember.
Any help welcome has i really wanna use PC suite

one of the mods spent time last week putting up posts asking people to search here before posting the same message over and over again.

6230i/pc suite/sitecom 2.0 usb adaptor/windows xp

I have trawled all discussions and tried solutions offered to get pc siute to connect to my bluetooth but i keep getting error message "cannot use the connection type. please check that all the needed hardware software and drivers are available." As I am a bit of of techno novice I am not sure if I have done everything I should or done it correctly. Please be gentle with me as I am heading towards silver surfer territory ie I am no whizz kid!

Nokia 6230i pc suite cannot get connected bluetoot...

it does'nt give me an option for bluetooth
all i get is :
cable connection
infrared connection ?
i have installed the IVT bluesleil succesfully and can transer from mobile to pc ?

Hi jogray40,
If you using are PC Suite 6.8 try this:
Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Select 'Nokia PC Suite Solution' -> Change -> Repair. After that open Connection manager and check is it there.
If that did not help try this: Click 'Start' -> 'Run' -> add command: regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\PCSuite\Transports\NclIVTBTMM.dll" . After that restart PC.

Nokia 6230i cannot cannect using PC Suite 6.7

My Bluetooth stack does not appear as an option on the Get Connected wizard, it only shows the Microsoft Bluetooth stack. Have tried to use this but my phone is not detected. It did appear at one time (and my phone paired with PC Suite) but had to reinstall PC suite and it disappeared. When it did appear my phone paired with PC Suite but still did not connect. I can transfer files with Bluesoleil but want to sychronise with Outlook using PC Suite. Can you help with both these problems?

Does any prompt appear in your phone when you connect the usb cable? In some Nokia like my N91-2, I have 3 option(PCSuite,Mass Storage, & Music) & selecting mass storage give that message, which one have to ignore. Windows treat the phone memory as just another external harddisk like flash disk.

PC Suite 6.8 will not store sent items

Hello, I have updated to PC Suite 6.8 - Now when I send messages from the PC they are sent and are received OK. But will not store in sent items on the PC or the phone, yet when I send them from the phone they do store on the PC and the phone. Has anyone else had this frustrating problem? Hello, Well where should I start. I've had considerable trouble with this problem. With a Nokia 6230 I had it working perfectly, then I updated to a later version of PC Suite and it stopped saving sent items. I checked the discussion group and some people said PC Suite does not save Sent Items. I checked with Nokia Australia and they said the same thing - even though I knew I had it working earlier??? I kept reinstalling PC Suite and miraculously the feature came back???? I then used the phone and PC Suite for about six months without any problems.
I now have a new 6120 Classic with a USB cable and everything works beautifully.

Pc suite dos not recognise the connect phone.

I am receiving the error message "pc suite dos not recognise the connect phone.
the connection between the pc and the phone failed, error code 0x80043605. Switch off your phone, switch it on, and try again."
Any idea?

Hi, did running PC suite cleaner 3.3 work for you? I am having exactly the same problem and tried this. PC suite cleaner didn't seem to run properly. I chose the "other" problem type and it said that it could not create a list of directories, please reboot and try again. I did this but no good. I then reloaded PC suite and got the same results.
My phone is 6230i

Only names but no numbers from 6230i to PC

I have a 6230i, pc suite 6.5.12 and win XP on my PC. I can sync using both cable and bluetooth. My problem is when I save a new contact to the phone, after the sync, in outlook contacts, I only see the contact's name but not the phone number . What can be the reason, can anybody help me?

Thanks fot your kind attention. I updated the pc suite. I can see the numbers of the contacts now. Just a reminder for the others who might have the same problem; also check the type of the number saved (work, home etc.). When the number is saved as 'other' on your gsm, you may not see it in the outlook but the number is still there,all you have to do is change what is displayed.

Lack of My Folder support for Nokia E71, even in n...

With my 6230i PC suite allowed me to see and manage folders and messages under My Folders. Now with my spanking new E71 it doesn't. Not only does it not let me manage them but I cannot even view their contents. This is not even supported with the latest Beta version of Nokia Communication Centre (Version 2.0). This is surely a major step backwards? Some problems
- Messages on my 6230i under My folders did not restore to the E71 and I have found no way to get them across. The 6230i does not let me move them back to the Inbox.
- Copy and paste between phones is not possible
- If you right clicked Inbox in Nokia Communication Centre 1.0 a New folder option appeared. This did not work. The solution in the new version appears to be to remove the option altogether.

One option may be, you can copy the 6230i messages to the PC and then paste that in Nokia e71. Hope it may help you

PC Suite Connection - 6230i.

Hi,
Since I've upgraded to PC Suite (v.7.1.18.0) I have been unable to make a cable connection between my 6230i and my PC.
The following message appears in Nokia Connection Manager. 'Can not use connection type ( Code: OpenMedia ).'

I receive similar message ...core open/media after upgrading to 7.1.18.0. I followed instructions mentioned above (and in different posts):
1. Install recent Bluetooth driver (Toschiba for Sony Vaio: TOABLT-01071611-UN.exe)
2. Deinstall 7.1.18.0
3. Use cleaning tool (Nokia_PC_Suite_Cleaner_7_1_1.exe)
4. Reboot
5. Install 7.1.18.0
Result: When I logon to privileged account connections works fine. Closing PC Suite and restart core open/media error shows up. Logoff/Logon to privileged account, first time works fine, afterwards error shows up.
When I logon to unprivileged account core open/media error shows up anytime.
As I mentioned above, before upgrading to 7.1.18.0 PC Suite worked fine over years!

T61 [7663-V5M] XP ENG SP3 AND CONNECTION VIA NOKIA PC SUITE WITH NOKIA 6230i

I've got T61 and Nokia 6230i. I'm not able to establish connection between T61 and Nokia 6230i via Nokia Pc Suite. When I try to connect those two devices via Nokia Ps Suite. I've got error message that connection can't be established. BT is in both devices enabled.
-> IBM T61 - XP PROF ENG SP3 BIOS NEWEST VERSION
-> NOKIA 6230i - OS VER. 3.89
The funniest thing is this that I can connect T61 and Nokia 6230i without Nokia Pc Suite.
What could be wrong? Why I'm not able to connect via Nokia Pc Suite? How can I solve this problem?

i´m trying since month to get my 6230i snyc with my PC.
The 1.st Install of PC Suite works, but after a vew snyc, its works not.
Now i tried all new Version of PC Suite i got last 3 month, without success.
I assume that Nokia writes some **bleep** in My registry.

Contactet Nokia Helpdesk via Webformular but it tooks WEEKS to get an answer, and allways only questions regarding the OS. So hope to get Helped out here.

Tried and found that i can send from PC--> Phone, but i can not send from Phone ---> PC.

PC Suite fails to sync my Nokia 6230i with Outlook

Hi,
Does anyone have suggestions as to how I can make my Nokia 6230i sync with Outlook?
I am using PC Suite which connects to my phone perfectly (using bluetooth). All functionality seems to work, except for the Sync function! The 'error' is that it reports 'synchronisation completed' but 0 entries have been updated.
I have followed most of the solution directions on the web, but have not succeeded in making it work.

Connect the phone via USB
Open Nokia Suite
Click the blue and white lifebuoy icon furthest to the right
Click Installed Programs and wait for the list to load
Click the Start page icon furthest to the left
Click Synchronize all
* Sync is slower than usual and fails with errors 80100023 and 80043c93
Workaround:
Close Nokia Suite
Disconnect the phone from the computer
Connect the phone via USB
Open Nokia Suite
Click Synchronize all
Now works as usual
Windows 7 64-bit / Nokia N8-00 Belle Danish / Nokia Suite 3.3.89
The small Qt stability update for Belle is installed on the N8.
