80 Problem with setup
I downloaded iTunes and connected my 80gb iPod classic, and now I'm seeing a page entitled iPod Software License Agreement. I read the agreement and clicked a checked box saying that I agree to it, but I can't scroll right to continue the setup process. Anybody have this problem or know how to fix it?

Ok - this is more of a rant than anything useful so beware! It seems that Apple has taken a page or two from the banks, insurance and health care providers which is to stick your customers at every opportunity.
It's a day after christmas and, surprise!, my friend can't use the new $350 ipod classic I got her on her OS 10.3.x machine. So let me state the problem just to be clear and in case I've gotten anything wrong you all can correct me:
The company that prides itself on designing products for the 'rest of us' (read: idiots that don't know how to set the clock on a microwave, much less use a computer) has decided that what is essentially a portable hard drive needs an OS upgrade to function correctly. I'm sorry is there something in that split screen display on the new ipods that requires 10.4 to run properly?
Wait, wait! I'm sorry, silly me - it's clearly buried on the website that >10.4 is required to operate a, ahem, 'classic' ipod. It probably says that on the box too (in equally small type). It really isn't too much to ask to take a moment out of the holiday pushing and shoving and spend some time squinting at 8pt type (grey on black!) and try and figure out if it your walkman will work with someone else's computer. The miracles of christmas! You know - I'll bet if I hook up my old tape walkman to the line out jack on her laptop that would work!
So decisions, decisions. Do I scramble around and source a copy of Tiger (can you find that for power pc anymore) or just buy a new laptop? Please help!

Symptom:
Installation of CiscoWorks LAN Management Solution fails when the installer is trying to configure CiscoWorks Assistant. The error seen will be related to OpsConfUpdate.exe:
The application has failed to start because GGShared.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
Conditions:
This can occur on Windows 2003 and 2008 servers. The underlying root cause is still not known.
Workaround:
Configure the following registry key value:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer\DisableRollback : DWORD : 0x00000001
Then, a clean installation of LMS should be performed. Once LMS is installed, this registry key value should be removed.
However, the problem with the page not found error could be CSCtb17186. If you try Firefox and get a redirection error, then that would confirm this bug. -

BIG problems with setup after Archive and Install
It all began when I was preparing a G3 iMac to be used - as a trial - by a Windows user. I wanted to preserve the existing accounts so created a new user. I then forgot the new user password (didn't write it down, did I) and had already set it up to go straight to the login screen on boot. Do you think I could then remember the user name of the original account(this time I knew the password)? I researched and was able to set up a new password for the System Administrator via the Install Disk, and hoped that it would show me the existing user names - it didn't. Despite my best efforts, I was still unable to login. By this stage, the gremlins were really getting to me.
I then decided to do an Archive and Clean Install - after I had repaired disk permissions, disk etc. So far so good, as everything seemed to go OK and the Mac restarted and presented the Welcome screen and I proceeded with setup, like it was a brand new Mac.
After going through the first couple of screens where Apple collects information and moving onto where you can start setting up accounts, the thing just hangs with a blank screen with a grey horizontal line about two-thirds down prior to actually reaching this account setup stage. In spite of every other attempt, I just cannot past this stage. Truly weird.
Next, I upgraded my Firewire Disk from OS9 to OSX using the same installation disks and everything went swimmingly, including the creation of accounts. I have been able to boot normally from this Firewire disk and can see everything on my internal HD. I tried reinstalling the OS again - it still hangs in exactly the same set up stage - "siiigh". I'm now getting seriously ****** off with this process and have more or less decided to clone all the appropriate files from the internal HD, erase the drive and start all over again!
I really don't want to go to this level, and besides, I'm really curious to find out what on earth has gone wrong, and hope forum members can help me out here. I appreciate all responses..... Thanks

Thanks for your reply. If the internal drive is bad, why didn't it show up when I ran Disk Utility repair? I don't think I'll try to resurrect it now if that is a possibility.
I had thought of swapping the drive in the Firewire case into the iMac and vice-versa. I have to say that this G3 has now been replaced by a newish MacBook - chiefly to preserve using Tiger (with Classic support) for all the legacy items that my partner was using on the G3. My partner's 91 y.o. mother will be visiting from Perth (the other side of Oz from us) and loves using the Mac, so I now propose the following:
1. Retrieve critical files (if any left) from the G3 internal HD;
2. Swap the drive as above - mind you, I've never changed an HD in an iMac, but after 20 years of mucking around with all sorts of Macs, fancy my chances here - especially as I come from the READ THE MANUAL school of support.
3. Buy a new IDE HD for the Firewire case, load it up with troubleshooting apps. which would then give me a tool for looking after our other Macs.
Any other suggestions?

Problem with setup table fillup
Hi,
I wish to extract data using the business content Data source 2LIS_02_HDR( Purchasing). I have activated the extract structure and all other necessary steps. I have deleted the setup table. When I fillup the set up table I get the error " No Extraction structure is active or no BW is connected". I checked with basis guy regarding the connectivity which is absolutely fine. Please let me know in case you have faced this kind of problem before.

Within an instance, you use the NetWeaver components of SAP ERP and BW.
When you execute transactions like to fill rebuild tables in Logistics, the system issues the termination message M2 630:
No extraction structure active or no BW connected
The connection test and the settings for the Myself source system are definitely correctly maintained.

Reason and Prerequisites
The problem is caused by a program error.
Prerequisites:
Within an instance, you are using the NetWeaver components of SAP ERP and BW. Thus, potential data loading processes are executed by using the Myself source system connection.
No other BW system is connected for data as a target system.
Cause:
Prior to NetWeaver, you could not operate ERP and BW in one common system. For this reason, the case that Logistics data need to be loaded into the same system for BW functions was not considered. The system as "source system" does not recognize that the system is connected as a "BW system".
Solution
To correct the problem, you need Service API 7.00 Support Package 08 or PI 2004.1 4.6C Support Package 13 in the affected source system. The attached composite SAP note informs you on which software components contain Service API 7.0 and lists the corresponding Support Packages of these components.
Alternatively, implement the attached program corrections.
In the BW system, you only need to implement the correction if the BW system is affected in its role as a source system for itselt (myself connection) or for another BW system.
Caution: Service API is an internal component. Therfore, it is not delivered separately but as a part of other software components: PI, CRM, PI_BASIS and several others. Thus, a composite SAP note is created for each SAPI correction note. This composite note describes which Support Packages of the above mentioned software components contain the SAPI correction. However, the composite SAP note will only be released when the corresponding SAPI Support Packages are released. -
Problem with Setup Assistant and New iMac
I just purchased a new imac intel (actually 2010 model from MacMall on closeout) and I want to transfer my files over from my old imac - 2004 G5 running 10.5.8
During the initial start up of the new imac I choose the option to transfer my information from another mac (using setup assistant).
I connect using firewire and start up the old mac in firewire mode (holding down T). After the new mac calculates the files to tranfer I cannot chose the continue button - the button is greyed out. In addition the remaining space available shows a negative (red number). This also occurs if I choose to transfer from a time machine back up on an external drive. Help.You didn't mention what version of OS X is on the new system. I would strongly recommend starting over and using Pondini's

depending on what the new system has loaded on it. If you have been using Time Machine or a bootable clone backup for the old system you can restore from that backup rather than having to mess with Target Disk mode.
If you still have difficulty call AppleCare, they're there to help on this type of issue. The number is in the owners manual. -
Why is there a problem with Setup.exe when upgrading from 2.0 to 3.6.3?
I am trying to upgrade Firefox on a laptop that currently has 2.0. I downloaded 3.6.3 and opened setup. I get an error message indicating that setup cannot run setup.exe. It advises I restart my computer. When I do, it does no good. Please advise.

Problems with setup: SAPNWAS_JAVAEE5_T06

i download SAPNWAS_JAVAEE5_T06.RAR, extract it and want to run
setup.exe.
Now it runs about 3 h at 17% on Configuring database.
I run it under Windows XP SP2. RAM = 512MB, CPU=2.8GHz.
Any idea. Are there higher conditions for the PC?

We have 2 systems (4.6c, ecc6).
We use GUI for windows (local istalled) 640 patch level 23.
When i start setup and SAPLOGON is running, i get an error and i
have to close SAPLOGON. I do it and than setup runs until 17%.
Perhaps its an GUI problem. Any idea???

i cant use the three option on the EasyLink Advisor cause i cant complete the setup. i follow to step by step that it told me to but on the step where it was trying to detect my router it said that router is not support. i try to download the lastest version of EasyLink Advisor but it still do the same things. ne one want to do plz tell me.
well...if the auto config tool is not working ... try setting up the router manually .. below are the steps you can try :
1)connect the computer to the router's port#1 and the modem to the router's internet port
2)access the router using http://192.168.1.1 . the default password is admin
3)on the router web ui, click on the "mac add clone" subtab .. enable it and click clone...save the settings and do a power cycle
4)go to the "status" tab on the ui and check the "internet ip add"
5)if it has a valid ip add , try going online

Hello! I have just purchased a new Time Capsule for my MacBook Pro. I have an existing wireless network in my condo via Comcast Cable. I followed the setup instructions. I disconnected the ethernet cable connecting my cable modem to my current wireless router and plugged it into the TC. I then plugged my TC into the power socket. First I get the amber solid light which switches to the flashing amber light, but it never turns green. I am able to detect the TC using the Airport Utility, but when I try to perform a backup, it tells me that the devices are not online. Is there a problem here? I'd appreciate any assistance!

It's always a good idea to perform a complete power recycle of your network components whenever you make changes like introducing the Time Capsule (TC).
Please try the following:
o Power-down the modem, TC, and computer(s); wait at least 10-15 minutes. Order is not critical.
o Power-on the modem; wait at least 10-15 minutes.
o Plug-in the TC; wait at least 5-10 minutes.
o Power-on the computer(s) -

First,I recommend you use ADSIEDIT to complete remove the installed information about Exchange 2013,
And then try to install again.
