8600 paper feed picks up 3 to 4 sheets of paper when printing

When printing, the 8600 officejet pro printer picks up 3 / 4 pages of blank paper in addition to the original that is printing. The condition is getting worse. This condition occurs when printing one page or multiple pages. Frustrating.

This sounds like a mispick error. This VIDEO might help in solving your issue. I would start at minute 3:40 for the most pertinent information.

Page does not fit on paper when printed directly to printer

Hi experts,
I have developed a form in transaction SFP, using A4 as the paper format for the master pages. If I print to spool and preview and print my form from spool using transaction SP01, the form prints nicely. If I print directly to printer using the generated function module for the form (setting parameter REQIMM to true), the page does not fit on the paper (it is cropped), and also I do not get duplex printing.
Why do I get different results when printing directly to printer as opposed to printing to spool first? How can I ensure that the form is printed correctly when printing directly to printer?

Did you check the window settings of the Firefox desktop shortcut to see how Firefox opens?
Did you try to delete the current Firefox desktop shortcut and create a new shortcut?
Use Restore or Maximize in the right-click context menu of the Taskbar icon to set focus to the Firefox application if you do not see the Firefox window.
Open the system menu of that Firefox window via Alt+Space and see if you can move and resize that window (use the keyboard cursor keys).<br />
If that works then first close all other open Firefox windows and then close Firefox via "File > Exit/Quit" to save that setting.

How to avoid wasting paper when printing

I have PS Elements 12, MacBook Pro, OS X v. 10.7.5, printing to a large format Epson 7890 (24inch printer) via Epson printer driver. The printer wastes 30cm of paper before printing, and after printing, on a 24 inch roll of paper. Epson says this is a setting within Photoshop, so here I am asking the question. Can anyone help?

How do I get the printer to use regular (not Colorlok) paper when printing what it considers photos?

I get emails with attachments of a document that someone has taken a picture of with their iphone (a bill, a receipt, etc). I finally got the HP software to give me a print option, but when I try to print, the printer gives the error message that you must use colorlok paper. I'm printing a receipt, not a glossy family photo! Is there a setting that can be adjusted?

Welcome to the HP Community , I saw your post about the message you're seeing to select colorlok paper, and I will surely do my best to help! When you open up the email attachment that you need to print, which program are the attachments opening up in that are not allowing you to select a different paper type? Let me know which program it is, and I will look in to the options. In the meantime, try using another program to print the items from if that's an option to see if that helps! Acrobat Pro XI v.11.0.06 - PDF created by Microstation Print Organizer - Windows 7 - Printing shaded squares on top of shaded building and not displayed on screen, only displays on paper when printing

I have attached an image of the sheet to show the areas that are shaded. The building is supposed to be shaded, however the two squares within are not. These squares are not in the file converted to pdf and do not display on screen when viewing the pdf. Also there are several sheets in the set with shaded buildings and only two of the buildings have this issue. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I'm seeing this same problem happen on multiple platforms here in the office. Every time this happens, the screen view does not show these shapes. I have been seeing the same problem except linework will be missing in one of these square shapes as well. Please give feedback if anyone knows what causes this problem. One thing to note - these squares are the size and placement of a selection box within acrobat. For example, if i use the selection tool and click near where the problem printed out, the shaded area that gets selected is in the exact same spot and is the exact size.@

When print selected, printer "prints" only blank sheets of paper. Cartridges ok and test print ok

Printer suddenly produces only blank sheets of paper when print job is set via desktop. HP Solution Center indicates ink levels ok. Printed a diagnostic page ok.

I have done all the diagnostics, alignment and cleaning, but it still will not print a test page. The page printed during alignment uses mostly blue colors. Print a Quality Diagnostics Report
Follow these steps to print a Print Quality Diagnostics Report from the product control panel.
Load plain white paper into the input tray.
On the product control panel, touch the Right Arrow ( ) to display additional options.
Touch Setup ( ). The Setup Menu displays.
Touch the Down Arrow ( ), and then touch Reports .
Touch Print Quality Report . The Print Quality Diagnostics Report prints.

Then use the Clean Printhead option in the Setup Menu:
Load plain white paper into the tray.
On the product control panel, touch the Right Arrow ( ) to display additional options.
Touch Setup ( ), and then touch Tools . The Tools Menu displays.
Touch Clean Printhead . There are three cleaning stages. A test page (different from the Print Quality Diagnostics page) prints between each cleaning stage. Do not use this test page for analysis. Click “NO” when prompted to continue the next level of cleaning.
Print another Print Quality Diagnostics Report to determine if the issue is resolved.
Print again and check if everything is now fine.

Wide streak on paper when using my 2600n laserjet

I have started to get a 1/2" wide streak on my paper when printing with my 2600n printer. I am running win7 so the toolbox doesn't work to help diagnose the issue. I ran the clean from the printer menu several times and it doesn't seem to help. Can someone offer a suggestion as to where I should be looking to fix this issue?

Hello Nashy58,
The issue is in how ePrint works with the PhotoSmart printer line. When you send a photo to the printer via ePrint, ePrint will print to the photo tray automatically. Right now there is no way to change this. To print a photo to plain paper via ePrint, you would have to put plain paper in the photo tray, which I would not recommend since it was not designed to handle that paper type.

HP Officejet PRO 8600 paper feed takes over 2 minutes to pick up paper on print job

Once you hit print it takes 2 minutes and 18 seconds for the printer to pick up the paper and print the document. If there are multiple pages for the print job, the second and subsequent pages print immediately after the first one finally, finally prints. I cleaned the rollers, checked for software upgrades, reset the printer, tried all different paper weights, etc.

Hi , and welcome to the HP Forums! I see you are experiencing print speed issues. I would like to help! Do you have the same issues when making a copy, as opposed to a print? I'd recommend starting with a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also recommend downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor. Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

Photosmart 7520 does not grip and feed the paper to print..

Hi-- I have a sparsley used Photosmart 7520 AIO that does not properly feed the paper to print. An HP Utube video had several olutions suggestions that did not work. THe display screen thinks the machine has no paper. Any ideas? Seems like it should be a small easy problem but nothing seems to fix it. Thank you.

I read about your print jobs getting stuck in the print queue's on both of your computers, and I am here to offer a few suggestions to you that should help.
I would first recommend trying a Firmware Update for the printer. As you are connected VIA USB, you can download and run the update here from your Windows 8 PC: HP Photosmart 7520 series firmware update
Restart the printer afterwards.
Also, there could be many reasons as to why the jobs are getting stuck in the print queue. Check out these guides and try out all of the steps and they should help you:

I see that your 2540 will not print, stating it needs paper even though the tray is loaded with paper. I have a few more questions to better assist you.
What is the device you are printing from, computer (if so, what Operating System, Windows or Mac), Apple phone or tablet, Android phone or tablet, etc?
What are you trying to print, photo, web page, email, document, etc?
What type of paper is loaded in the printer?
In the mean time, try cleaning the rollers in the printer.

If your Printer indicates the error, then what you do depends on your printer's model.
You can look up the troubleshooting tips for your printer:
Open HP Drivers & Downloads
Enter your Printer Model information
Select your Printer from the “Results” list
Open tab "Troubleshooting" > Select Solve a problem > Jam and Feed Problems >
Select An 'Out of Paper' Message Displays ...
The exact wording may vary. The point is to find the document that most closely matches your situation.

Paper jam when printing photo from Microsoft Photo Editor

On my C7280, I want to print a photo from Microsoft Photo Editor onto plain 8.5x11 paper. This always produces a paper jam. If I copy/paste the photo into, say, Word, and print from Word, the document prints properly.
This is not a "false paper jam" - the printer attempts to feed the paper, and jams (and creases) the paper in the attempt.
In Photo Editor, I explicitly chose "plain paper" and "main tray", rather than automatic settings.
Any help would be appreciated!

Also, if you are having problems using the in OS print system, install the HP Print Service Plug in.
It acts like a print driver for your phone.
If it is already installed, try the old, uninstall and reinstall trick.
