Solution
In order to print using Dot Matrix printers, follow the below
instructions:
Run SAP Business One.
Click the upper menu 'File' and select 'Page Setup'.
The Print Setup window opens. Under 'Paper', in the field 'Size', select 'Letter' from the drop down menu.
Click OK to confirm your selection.
On your desktop, click Start => Settings => Printers.
Right click on the required Dot Matrix printer and select 'Printing Preferences...'.
Click the 'Paper/Quality' tab page and click the 'Advanced' pushbutton.
Under'Paper/Output'=> 'Paper Size', click on the underlined paper size(e.g. A4) and select 'Letter' from the drop down menu.
Note that if you leave the value 'A4', each page will be spreaded over 2 pages when printing using Dot Matrix printers.
Under 'Graphic'=> 'Print Quality', click on the underlined value (e.g. 230X250 dots per inch) and select '120X144 dots per inch' from thedrop down menu.
Note that in case the value '120X144' is not available you should select a similar value from the list.

  • Problem w/ Duplicate PLD Template

    Good day mentors,
I used Duplicate PLD Template to copy from a source PLD. In which now I have already have the correct design/configuration for client's lx300 printers. The problem I am facing now is that the source document or PLD was from Delivery(System). This pld defaults to printing 2 copies of the pld even if I set the new pld in which i copied from Delivery to print only one copy.
    Steps:
    1. Created customized Delivery PLD.
    2. Copied customized Delivery PLD via "Duplicate Layout Template" into ARInvoice and Purchase Order
    3. Currently printing 2 copies even if repetitive area has only 1 line item for the source and target documents.
Client is using a preprinted forms w/ tripilicate copies via dot matrix printer. Thus I want to remove the extra copies PLD is making by default.
If there is another link which answers this please post the link.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sean

    Hi Gordon,
Sorry. My mistake. I thought there was something wrong w/ the duplicate layout template of SBO, but in fact its a problem of the page size in that I need to adjust the height of the areas inside the pld.
I am still fixing the pld, but I am certain that its the area height that's the problem.
    Thanks,
    Sean

  • Signatures on delivery documents

    hi all
i am trying to find a way to be able to get signatures of people picking up an order on to the system. for instance, if a customer picks up an order and signs for it, i want to be able to have that signature show up on the delivery pld.
what would be the best approach for this? do let me know.
    thanks!

    Hi Prem....
I think you can do it. You can scan the signature at mini size and then create the image type UDF and just attach the scanned sgnature in that UDF and you will get it on to the print......

  • Serial Number on Delivery Document

    Hello All,
I want to have the serial number of an item on the actual delivery document. I know that this is a standard functionality in 2007A. However, in my scenario, it doesn't work.
I have an item DG0001 which is a serial managed item. If have another item BOQ0001 which is NOT a serial managed item. DG0001 is the child item of BOQ0001. When I create a delivery document, I deliver BOQ0001. as a result, it doesn't display any serial number. However, since i've left the default printing preferences as they are, it prints out the "Serial Numbers in Document" Report as well as my delivery note and on that I see the correct Serial Numbers.
My question is, how do I get the serial number of a child item onto the delivery PLD?
    Thanks
    Reza

As the other reply suggests - add a UDF and create a formatted search on that UDF.
The formatted search could be a function call to a function you define in SQL Server which taken the ItemCode on the Delivery line as parameter and returns the Serial number as the result.
The logic to drill in to the line items child and then fetch it serial numbers can be created in the SQL Function.

  • Backorder report, not possible to print Cardname

    Hello,
in the PLD template for the backorder report it is not possible to inlcude the Cardname, there is no system variable available.
Does anyone have a workaround for this?
    Thank you in advance.
    Best regards,
    Anton Wieser.

    Hi,
Were you able to figure out solution for this.
I tried this out by processing a backorder goods delivery. The system is still taking the delivery PLD. So, I am getting the Cardname (Customer Name).
Try out using Advanced print layout. Probably that will help in finding out a solution.
    Assign points if useful.
    Thanks,
    Srikanth

  • Print layout designer - rows repeating

We have modified a delivery document and have referenced Delivery Rows: Item/Service Description to print in the Repetitive Area.  We must be doing something wrong, because it is printing the rows 70-80 times each.  If a delivery has 2 rows, it is printing row 1 70-80 times and then row 2 70-80 times.  Obviously, we only want it to list one time on the delivery slip.  What makes this odder is that we have done the exact same thing with A/R Invoice and it works perfectly.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!
    Jennifer

    Jennifer,
If you look at the Item/Service description field on the Delivery PLD rows, it is available by default. Are you talking about a different field by any chance?
If NOT, I wonder if you deleted any fields from the PLD which could have corrupted your report.
Please check and see if the default delivery PLD out of the box is working correctly with your data.
    Please let me know.

  • Catch weight support

    Hi experts,
Our customer sells Cases (CS), each CS with its specific weight (Lb). Each CS has a unique ID, bar coded. They receive an order for N Cases, select the cases to ship and bill by Lbs. How would you manage it? Do we need an add-on solution?.
    What we have done:
    1. Define each case as a differeny batch, with Qty equals its specific weight in Lbs.
    2. Define an average conversion factor, let's say 10 Lbs per Case.
    3. Once the order for 5 CS (50 Lbs in theory) is converted to a Delivery document, 5 different batches (CS) are selected.
    4. The total weight for the 5 CS selected (let's say between 46 and 55 Lbs) differs from the expected quantity of the order (50 Lbs), so it doesn't let you add the Delivery document  without going back to the main delivery and "changing manually" the actual quantity to be delivered in Lbs.
    How would you solve it?
    Thanks for prompt answer,
    Andres

    Hi Castri,
    As Below -
In SO record the cases to be delivered in a UDF. CORRECT. OK
A formatted search can multiply this by a factor and convert this into SO qty in kgs. IT GETS THE THEORETICAL QUANTITY (WEIGHT).
Yes Let SO be in theoretical weight
Let the SO qty and Delivery qty be recored in kgs (Inventory UOM). Billing shall also be in kgs. CORRECT, BUT HOW DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH IT IS GOING TO BE BEFORE SELECTING THE CASES?. In SBO, the Delivery can be made for a qty (kgs) which is greater or less than the SO Qty (kgs). Make Delivery for the Actual Qty Modify the "Cases" or "Packs" UDF value to the Actual number of cases being delivered. As i understand this should conform to the No of cases Ordered.
In SAP, at Delivery the delivered batches (cases) are selected and the delivery qty is recorded in kgs. BEFORE YOU START SELECTING YOU HAVE TO MODIFY THE TOTAL QUANTIY (WEIGHT), OF THE CASES, WHICH IS IMPRACTICAL (CANCEL SELECTION, MODIFY TOTAL WEIGHT AND BACK TO SELECT THE CASES AGAIN). SAP is just matching the SO KGS with the DELIVERY KGS and even then there is no restriction that it has to be exactly the same unless this is a validation addded by you at this site. Note if you want to record the case-wise weight (weight of each case being delivered) this can also be recorded in "Packages" screen. From Delivery screen Open the Menu item Goto -> Packaging. Please try here and you can create a Case/ Pack master and then record case-wise weight here. The Delivered KGS will get carried forward to the AR Invoice and you can Invoice the Customer accordingly.
SO and Delivery PLDs can reflect the SO and cases Delivered cases as well. is that as needed. CORRECT.
Please let me know your comments.

Check the Item code Field or Item description field for EX( F_123), then in Duration DB field - Go to Properties -Field in that - General - Lint to - connect the  ( F_123), code Field or Item description field for EX( F_123),

  • Planned Delivery time not considered after MRP run for scheduling

    Dear All,
After running MRP, the planned delivery time maintained in Purchase info record is not taken into consideration for calculating start date of the schedule line of externally procured material generated by the system.
Planned delivery time is 3 days & Requirement of parent material falls on 15/02/2010. With this, system should calculate the start date for schedule line as on 12/02/2010 considering 3 days Planned Delivery time.
Any idea as to what might have gone wrong?
thx for your help in advance.
    Rgds,
    Ranjeet

    Hi,
Determination of PLD from the Purchase info record is maintained in transaction code:OMDT. Planned Delivery time is also maintained in Scheduling agreement. However, it is not calculating delivery date as well as release date.

  • Auto print invoice with delivery notes

I am trying to find a way when we print invoices to have it print the matching delivery note as well.  Currently as you are aware you have to do the process in a separate manner which is not satisfactory for us.
    Thank you in advance,
    Chad

    hello,
at present,it is not possible to create print flows such printing the delivery note with the invoice etc when you using the internal layout edtitor PLD. As a workaround you could use the Document Printing Option(Sales -A/R / Document Printing) to print a Selection of Documents.

  • Batch managment  PLD

    Hi experts,
I have an problem in PLD of batch mangement.
i am using batch management for my items.but we used batch management at time GRPO & sales delivery .it give two print out for that i.e. one for GRPO OR Delivery and 2nd one is for batch management.
my client does not want it in two deffrenet pages .that print must on only one page.
Is it possiable to this one page and how .Please asap

How many maximum batches would there be for one line item.  The one I had created was for a customer who will have a maximum of 2 batches, so I had created 2 UDF at the document row level and updated them using the SBO_SP_TransactionNotification Stored Procedure.
In you case if you have mutiple batches then adding them to one UDF field seperated by a comma or space would be a best approach.
What information are you looking from me.  Are you expecting the complete code..???
