Ability to add standard content/text to incident responses?

Hi.
I've worked with other incident management applications that allowed for the configuration and use of standard content that could be stored and then inserted into threads via shortcut keys.
I've been searching for info on if and how it is possible to do this with Service Manager but I haven't found anything.
The process is similar to recording macros in Word and then running them with a shortcut key, but it only involves pasting static text into the comment field.
For example, a signature block for the specific agent who worked the incident, or perhaps a paragraph that is entered repeatedly as a comment for incidents that are in progress.
I am not looking for a template/subscription/notification solution. I'm only looking to be able to quickly insert a block of text into a comment in an existing incident, without having to store the text in a different application and then doing a copy/paste
process to add it.
Any help/guidance is much appreciated.

I actually found a pretty simple way to accomplish what I was hoping for.
I created a Knowledge Article and included *internal only* content.
Users can then open a ticket and search for the article and use the "copy to clipboard" function from the article, and then paste it into the comment section.
Not as fast as a shortcut key, but not bad, and it will meet our needs.

Inserting Texts from the Master Record
There are three ways of linking texts from a master record with a purchasing document. The relevant settings are made for each text type in Customizing for Purchasing. The indicator in the status column shows the nature of the linkage.

Choose Insert ® Symbols ® Program symbols.
Choose DDIC fields.
Search for the relevant table/structure (in the case of PO items, this is EKPO) and then choose ENTER .
Choose the relevant table field.
Choose Text ® Print preview to see the print preview.

Creating the Standard Text:
Go to SO10
1. Enter Text Name. For example, ZABC
2. Text ID ST
3. Language EN
Click on Create.
And enter the Required Information and save.
To include a Standard text in SmartForm.
Follow the steps below:
1. Create a text node in the window.
2. Under general attributes select "Include text" as Type.
3. Specify the fields under Text.
Text Name ZABC
Text Object TEXT
Text ID ST
Language EN.

Standard measure for every incident/accident log

Hi,
Is it possible to have a predefined standard measure for every incident/accident log of a specific type entered in the system (or when the type changes to one of the specified types), e.g. that this measure is created when the incident/accident log is saved?
For another question we looked into BAdI: Handling of Actions after the Database Commit, but for this issue that will not work, because an update of the log itself with a standard measure cannot be done, because the log is still open at that time.

Hi Pavan,
The standard measure will be used to prompt the departments to do a specific check. This is a new procedure that not everybody is used to yet, so hence the standard measure. And also to guarantee that this important check is in fact done.
The contents of the measure will be something like this: 'Add this risk in the RI&E.'

Add Standard Index....then it automatically saves each section??

I have a manual created with 12 different sections including the front and back. We market the same machine as 4 different brands. With the difference being only 2 decal placement pgs in 1 section, I just create 1 book that includes the 2 decal placement pgs for each brand so I only have 1 book file and 1 of each section file to maintain.
We print from PDF.
To create a print PDF for Brand A, with all the section files open, I temporaily delete out the 2 pages for each of brands B,C,D (without saving back to disk). Update the index and create a pdf.
The problem I'm running into with frame 8 is when I temporarily delete those pages without saving and then go to add standard index, for some reason it automatically saves back to disk each section at that point in time, thus losing the decal placements for brands B,C,D I deleted.
I never had this problem with frame 7.2.
I'm thinking there must be a setting somewhere to keep it from doing this.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Brady,
I do not use Frame 8, so cannot comment on this change in behavior.
Instead of deleting pages temporarily, try using conditional text. Create one condition for each brand, and apply the correct condition to the corresponding information. Using show/hide conditions, you can turn three of the brands off, update the index, and print. Then repeat for the other conditions. Saving between prints does not delete the content that is not showing, so nothing to worry about.

Hi Rob,
From the screen shots it looks like your script is not formatted properly (you may refer to 'Paladin Script' in 'Sample Project' to get an idea of how the script should be formatted.).
Further please follow the steps mentioned below to use Story to PP workflow.
Create a new Film script in Adobe Story
Create scene heading – INT. LOCATION – Day (these will show up in the outline view panel on left hand side)
Hit enter, hit TAB
Enter the name of the speaker, hit TAB or ENTER
Copy over the transcribed text
Build your script this way
Number scenes from the production menu
Export ASTX file for your script : File->Export->.astx
Open Premiere Pro
Create a new project, bring in media
In the project pane, find the "Scene" column
For the clip that contains the spoken text, assign the same scene number to the clip as you have in the story script (lets say both are scene 1)
Click out of the scene box in the project panel in Ppro
Right click on the scene that you just assigned a scene number to and select – attach Story script
Select the .astx fle you exported in step 8
Click ok
You should now see the script data in the metadata panel for the clip in the metadata panel.
You can now run speech to text based on "Embedded Script metadata" to time align spoken word to the script.

Can I create a form that allows users the ability to add fields?

I would like to create an asset order form I can host on my company's intranet. I would like to give the users the ability to add additional fields per item they request rather than provide them with a limited amount of fields. For example, the template available from Formscentral has 5 dropdown selection boxes with predetermined supplies to choose from. My office receives requests for multiple, varying assets that I would not be able to list in generic dropdown selection boxes. I want to give users the freedom to enter item titles and provide URLs to online stores they would like me to purchase them from. I want my form to begin with two fields for this information and provide users with an add button that creates two additional fields for each additional item requested.

In Acrobat Form, you create a hidden Text Field which will only get visible on a Button click for inserting additional text.

Ability to add multiple email addresses to the same contact person

Hello SRM Experts,
I have a question in SRM 5.0
In "Personal Data" tab of "Employee Data" in Manage Business Partner, we have the ability to add multiple email address. But only one email can be selected as standard.
We have a new requiremnt that more than one email address has to be selected. Which means, when a bid invitation is published, the email notification has to go to all the email addresses from that list.
How can this be achieved?

By default the system send intimation to only one email id to the contact person.
If you want to be send to the multiple email id for a contact person. you need to implement the same in the BADI..
Try to find the BADI which is called on save of Bid invitation. You can check of the 'Published' status in the BADI method and fire the emails as required.

how can is it possible to add new content (a new line) to a existing html/plain file? I have two methods, with the first one i can create a file but with the second one it is not possible to add new content to the just created file. What is my mistake?

I am creating a language tutorial. Am trying to add full screen text without losing the audio explanation of the text. How do I make this edit and not lose the audio that coincides with the full screen text?

Variable - Constant Frame Rate Explanation
First, the variable frame rate mention and any problems that might be expected if your iPad video was recorded with a variable rather than constant frame rate. Some cameras (such a cell phone, iPod, probably iPad) record video not at one frame rate across the whole video recording. Instead, they record with a variable frame rate depending usually on the lighting conditions during video recording. One way to know what your recording device is using is to view the MediaInfo video audio properties readout. If you have a constant frame rate, you will see just one frame rate listed. If variable, you should see 3 frame rates listed minimum, maximum, and mid range frame rate.

This situation may or may not cause problems for you in Premiere Elements. The signs of problems are usually out of sync audio and you just cannot import the video into the project. If this type of problem, then you take your video into a program such as HandBrake to generate a file with a constant rather than variable frame rate. Then you import the file with the constant frame rate into your Premiere Elements project. http://handbrake.fr/
Again, this may or may not create problems.
The Generalized Project Workflow
There is no problem to setup up your Timeline physically. The iPad video with go to Video Track 1 and Audio Track 1. The video is imported into the project linked to it audio portion. And, the Full Screen Text Files will be on Video Track 2 directly above the related content. Now here is the part that I am not yet clear on. Is the Full Screen Text for a given portion of video supposed to synchronize word for word with what you are saying in the audio on Audio Track 1? That will involve a mapping out part with regard to duration of each of the Full Screen Text files. Will these Full Screen Text files be readable against the video representing the background? Font style and size and color will be major considerations as well as getting the text file to be on screen long enough to be readable even with Font style, size, and color considerations.
The fact that you focus on audio loss in all this makes me wonder if I am missing a vital part of what you want to do. The loss of audio concern that you mention does not seem like a prime factor unless you are referring to sync between the texts and what it is supposed to correspond to in the audio of the video.
Please review and consider and then, based on your reply, I will offer a mini demo to see if we are OK on the details.

you don't need to use iTunes to restore your old phone to factory settings.
Just go into settings on your old iPhone and reset .. it will take it back to factory set-up with the cable showing on the front of the screen. All your content will be permanently erased from the old iPhone.

Text variables do not work when the variable the column on which the variable is running does not have a unique value under it.
Is the text variable getting the appropriate value if the query is run as a table? If yes, then you will probably be better off opening a OSS message with SAP.

I am receiving spam in the form of premium text messages from 33555. My only option appears to be blocking receipt of all premium messages, which will not work for me. I would like the ability to block individual premium text numbers.

You will need to send a Text message with one of the opt-out keywords below to the code that the message is coming from which you stated (33555). This will stop future billing for the Premium Messaging. However, charges for Premium Messaging may appear on the your bill for up to two full bill cycles after the Premium Messaging block has been added to the account. This is due to timing of the bill cycle and the premium service subscription opt-in date.

If opt-out confirmation not received meaning if you did not get a text right back stated the premium message has been stopped , then that's when we will have to go in and add the premium messaging block to stop you from receiving the alert and charge any further. Hope this Helps

I want to add file contents to a text view by drag drop method. How i can do that in cocoa using objective c? Can anybody help me. I am using following code in my appCotroller file to do the same but can't get the desired out put. Insted of getting file contents, i m getting the file URL (Path) in the text view.

It is very hard to debug code I haven't seen. If you are getting the URL in your text view, you must be handling the drag operation correctly. Instead of putting the pasteboard data into the text view, get the file's contents and put that into the text view.
Also can you give me a sample code on how to open files in coccoa, how to read the contents of that file?
