About parameterized error messages

Hi,
For error 'EXC_VAL_ATTR_MANDATORY', the default message is
"Attribute {2} in {1} is required"
{1} is the view name and {2} is the field name.
What can I do if I want it to display the lable name instead of the field name ?

Parameterized error message support.

Hi,
I'm new to PL/SQL development and am currently trying to migrate some T/SQL code which includes a RAISERROR statement and a parameterized error string. Eg, 'Message from my %s Oracle stored procedure'. The RAISERROR statement in SQL Server allows me to specify an argument value which will be used in place of %s in the string.
Can I do this in PL/SQL somehow using raise_application_error? Does Oracle support parameterized error message strings like this?

sure! You can add variables into a string like:
my_var := 'This is the value of my_par: '||my_par||', and this is the date: '||to_char(sysdate, 'dd/mm/yyyy');You can then use this string in your message within RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR, etc.

[SOLVED] Question about GCC error messages.

I'm currently taking a course in C programming, and I have a question about the error messages returned by GCC.
When ever i try to compile a program containing syntax errors, i get cryptic and not very helpfull error messages.
If i try to compile:
#include <stdio.h>
int main(void)
int i;
i = 0
return 0;
I get following from GCC:
error.c: In function â:
error.c:8:2: error: expected â before â
But shouldn't the message be something like:
error.c: In function 'main':
error.c:8:2: error: expected ; before 'return'
or am I mistaken?

Woah. That is very strange. I've never seen that before.
I assume you're using Arch Linux. What text editor did you use to write the code? Which terminal application are you using?
...those questions are probably unrelated to the problem, but we might as well get them out of the way.

Standard Lion networking .. Reboot the TC or use the disconnect all users in the AU.. it has not closed the sparsebundle correctly from last time.. or has simply forgotten where the TC is.
It is reported at least once a day here.

I am unable to replace or delete pages in pdf files. I keep getting an error message that says "bad parameters". This just recently started happening. I'm using Windows 7 & PPT 2010. Help.

How is the pdf created? Many a times due to bad pdf structure this error comes up.

I need to get some information about an error message that comes up every time I go to Mozilla. Who can I email.

Every time I go to Mozilla I get an error message which says "www.netregistry.com.au:443 uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided." I have checked wit netregistry and there is not an issue on their end and we determined there is an issue with Mozilla. Could you please advise why this message is coming up. It has only been happening for the past 3 weeks.

Question about dll. error message when loading - PSE 6

I have PSE 6 and suddenly get the following error message when I open PSE: Organizer-Photoshop Element PhotoshopElementsOrganizer exe- entry point fot found. CFBundle Copy File TypeForFileData could not be located in dynamic linc library core foundation.dll.
No idea what that means, what happened and how to fix this.
Is there anybody that can give advise to a non-computer literate person????
Help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there any body meetting that error message "java.lang.IllegalStateException: Response has already been committed"?
I couldn't find where the error is.

Hi,
The IllegalStateException in a servlet is thrown when some information has already been sent to the client and then if you try to forward or redirect or include a page.
You can check it in your JSP code.

What to do about this error message??

I just received the following error message in Lightroom 4 "This version of Lightroom may require the Photoshop Camera Row plug-in version 7.3 for full compatibility. Please update the Camera Raw plug-in using the update tool available in the Photoshop help menu." I have the latest Lightroom as well as Photoshop versions. I don't think I should be getting this message. Can anyone help?

If you do not have CS6 but an earlier version of CS, this message makes you aware that your previous version has not the latest ACR installed and thus cannot open your image as Raw-file.
And, you cannot install the latest ACR in previous Photoshop versions. They don't accept the latest ACR.
The solution is to let Lr render the Raw-file, i.e. Lr creates the PSD (or TIFF) and sends it to CSxx.
You choose this option by selecting <Render using Lightroom>.

Is this causing damage to my computer? If so, what should I do?

Usually (not always, but usually) you'll receive this error message because you haven't given your computer a 'name'.
Open System Preferences>Sharing and make sure that your computer has a name. If it doesn't, add one. Try printing again after you've 'named' the computer. It should work now.

Downloading picture about:blank error message

A page will not show an image, although it does show in Internet Explorer 64 bit version. On the same environment (Windows 2008 R2).
Message in the status bar is:
(1 item remaining) Downloading picture about:blank
The website is a trusted site.
Privacy report does show 2 sites as cookies being blocked
Example site in question is http://mobilehelp.virginmedia.com/device/Galaxy_S4/Virgin_Mobile/en
Both browsers use same GPO settings so very confused.

Dealing with CORBA in tomcat. Q about get error message in COBRA program

Hi, all:
I have complete a project by using CORBA. Now I want to put it inside of tomcat.
the problem is:
i wrote a javaBean to activate the program.
when i called from my jsp file. it should happen:
jsp---> javaBean (Runtime.getRuntime.exec(vbj ***))
however, when i checked the process ID, i found the program is not running at background.
I checked the exit value when i use (process.waitFor()); it is 0.
Because the CORBA program has some std output message. and try catch block.
I just wonder how can i get this information.

I have always started my Cobra Factory outside of Tomcat, as a
standalone process from either the DOS prompt or Unix Prompt.
Then I used JSP's clients deployed in Tomcat to communicate with
the Corba Objects, this always worked for me.
