Accessing report

Hi,
we are using sap ecc 6.0 hp-ux 11.23 oracle 10g.
i have many z reports.where some of the endusers running the report in back ground and even front end .even we informed to run back ground at night.still they are running.i have 6 dia and 6 bg.which got occupied soon.so we cant run some of the tasks say stms due to bg occupied.
so any suggestion or any thing to do...
we thought of restricting authorisation.but daily we have to revoke and give at the evening.which is not good way to do..so pkls suggest any thing.

Dear Rajesh,
Surely there will be a problem. Your Dialog process are very less.As you say it is 6. First of all you need to increase your dialog process especially if it is a production server.Goto Tcode RZ10. Select instant profile and then select radio button Basic maintenance. Now click on change. Now increase the number of workprocess.Numbers in the brackets suggest my settings. After changing the parameters  restart the server to cause changes taking effect. Now you can login and check your workprocess via sm50. Take backup of profile folder before changing any parameter.
Numbers in the brackets suggest my settings
SM50 work process: DIA (Dialog 19): responsible for interactive online processing. Work process for executing dialog steps in user transaction
UPD(update 7): Used for time critical updates that needs to happen immediately. Update process for executing update requests
ENQ (1) the single u2018central lock management serviceu2019 that controls the locking mechanism between the database and different application server.
SPO (1) - Process for executing spool requests: Responsible for servicing print request.
BTC (5) - Process for executing batch requests: Used for running Job in Background.
UP(2):   BTC - Process for executing batch requests: Used for updates that are non critical, which are delayed until resources are available to process the updates
PS:Do take the backup of your profiles before changing the parameters at OS level.

  • HTML links from Full Check Accessibility report do not open the corresponding PDF links

I regularly generate full Check accessibility reports for the PDF user guides I create in MSWord. However, when I click the links in the HTML file/report generated, they are supposed to link/highlight the corresponding errors in the PDf file. Instead, I get an error message that "There was an error opening this document. Bad parameters."
How can I get the links to work so I know which section in my PDF has the error (inaccessible items).
    Thanks

I understand you are creating HTML reports and then using them to find errors/view the PDFs.
Is this a new problem or  have you always had problems with the links?  If it's a new problem, what has changed on your system?
Can you view other PDFs in your browser?
Have you moved any of the files since you created the report -- as you may know the HTML report references a specific lcoation on your hard drive and if you moved the PDF after creating the report, it may not be able to find the file.

  • Generation of access report CNRCRMPRCUST999 failed.

    Dear Gurus,
I’ve createe one pricing condition table in Dev environment and now I’m trying to transport it in Quality environment. This table is for CRM only.
In development every thing working fine but while transporting in Quality I got the error "Generation of access report CNRCRMPRCUST999 failed." And I am Unable to maintain records for the respective condition type I got the error "There are no maximum generated tables for condition type ZXXX".
    Please help....
    Regards,
    Biplab

    Hello Singa,
For the error;." there is no entry in the object directory (TADIR) for R3TR TTYP /1CR/RCBSAP017_T"
This mean that Table 017 in R3 is for Application 'M' (Purchasing for Pricing 'A') which is not revelant for download to CRM. If you see the download object DNL_CUST_CNDALL, filters for T681 are on Application V, TX (KAPPL). In the R3 side in T681, have 2 entries for KAPPL= V, and the usage's are E (Rebate) and N (Free Goods). So this might be the reason why it has come to CRM. The relevant tables in CRM for the above are /1CN/CCBSAP017 and /1CN/CCFSAP017. If you see /SAPCND/T681
table for these 2 entries, GESTA field has '5', meaning the tables are downloaded. However, these tables are not used in any free goods condition types or rebate condition types/access sequences in CRM and R3. So I think this table is not being used for rebates and free goods, you can also check the corresponding tables in R3, KOTE017 and KOTN017, which have 0 entries
which indicate that they are not in use, so we can ignore this error.
IPlease also check note 1003793. and restart the customizing download DNL_CUST_CNDALL.
    thanks

  • Microsoft Access report to pdf-hyperlinks don't work

    Hi,
Does anyone have a solution to hyperlinks not working when a Microsoft Access report is converted to a pdf?  The hyperlinks work when I am in the Access report, but once I convert to a pdf (Acrobat 9), the links don' t work.
    Thanks,
    Jamie

How did you convert? In looking at the PDF Maker options for AA8 in ACCESS 2007, there does not seem to be a link button in the preferences. That may the issue and I do not have a solution for that.

  • Error accessing reporting services - DCOM

Hello, after a (somewhat) smooth installation of SCCM 2007 SP1 on Win2k8 server i'm noticing a problem accessing reporting site , i've seen this issue in a lot of tek tips sites pointing to DCOM permissions, however the fixes recommended don't seem to be working for me.
Accessing the reporting website http://servername/smsreporting_sitecode/ displays the error message (after turning error display on):
    Navigator
    Server object error 'ASP 0178 : 80070005'
    Server.CreateObject Access Error
    /smsreporting_lbt/ReportsNav.asp , line 1046
The call to Server.CreateObject failed while checking permissions. Access is denied to this object.
and logs the following on System Event Viewer:
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
    {2D527A8C-A4B6-4E74-A63F-E867360D401C}
to the user domain\user SID (S-1-5-21-950096678-2834088623-955418618-38307) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.
The CLSID {2D527A8C-A4B6-4E74-A63F-E867360D401C} according to the registry refers to SMSRPH , i've tried adding local launch and local activation permissions, to the smsreporting users, dcom users and even everyone. But i still get the same error.
If it's any use, this is the line from Reportsnav.asp:
    Set myReporting = Server.CreateObject("SMSRPHost.SMSReporting")
    ConnectionStatus = myReporting.Connect(Session("SMSSiteCode"), Session("SQLMachine"), _
        Session("SQLDatabase"), Session("DBConnectionTimeout"), Session("DBCommandTimeout"))
Could anyone try to give some tips?
    Thanks in advance,
    BQ

    Hi,
I was having the exact same problem but solved it by adding 'Authenticated Users' to the local 'SMS Reporting Users' group on the SCCM Server.

  • Due to the requirement of a UUT report with pageheaders, I am looking for solution to print an MS Access report from TestStand. I am using TestStand 4.2 and LabView 8.6.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You can customize your process model with LabVIEW steps. You can connect to the access database http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/1D5EB4DCBD13106486256B9D005E11B0 you can also get the data and format it and print it with the report generation toolkit, or you could see if Access exposes those functions through an ActiveX server. What functionality exactly are you looking for, and at the end of the day how much time are you willing to develop your own customized microsoft access reporting function?

  • Microsoft Access Reports to PDF - preserving hyperlinks

Can someone help me figure out how to preserve hyperlinks from an Access report? I've built an application that stores project information along with embedded hyperlinks to source files on our shared server. Although I've been successful with preserving links in Word documents when converting to PDF, when I try to print or convert from the Access report, the links are no longer active in the PDF (although they show up as the familiar blue hyperlink text.)
    Thanks,
    Jeff

Generally you would use the create PDF icon (what is called PDF Maker) on the toolbar. You can set the properties in the Acrobat (or Adobe PDF, depending on versions) menu on the Access menu bar. PDF Maker allows for adding links and such to the PDF. If you print to the Adobe PDF printer, you will simply get something that looks identical, but will have no bookmarks, links, or related items. Basically PDF Maker is a preprocessor for the printer that adds PDF Marks that are required for creating the links from ACCESS. Otherwise, the links that you see in the PDF are the best guess of Acrobat or Reader when it sees what appears to be a URL.

  • I Published a report on the report server but it's not showing in the internal application we use to access reports

    Hi,
I Published a report on the report server but it's not showing in the internal application we use to access reports. The name of the application we use is called MAMA and this application has access to all the reports on the SQL report server. My email is
[email protected] my cell phone number is 201-888-7952.
    Thanks.

    Hi Roger,
Based on my understanding, you publish a report on the report server. When you access reports with internal application, the report doesn’t display, right?
In your scenario, since you mentioned you have published the report to report server, please go to report manager, check if you can see the published report and open the report properly. If the published report is displayed on report manager, it should not
be the issue in Reporting Services. In this scenario, since the MAMA application has established connection with on report server, it may not update items on report server after you publish your report onto report server. So please try to “refresh” in MAMA
or reconnect the report server. If issue persists, I suggest you contact the MAMA application vendor to get some more effective advices.
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.
    Best regards,
    Qiuyun Yu

  • Acrobat X Pro:  Accessibility Report says No Alt Text for image but there is

I have added the alternate text for images on my pdf but the accessibility report is still giving me errors stating that there is no alternate text.  Does anyone have any idea why?  I have checked and the alt text is there.  I don't understand this.
    Thank you.

I assume when you click on the error it is taking you to the location where the error is.  Not seeing the document it is hard to tell... do you have a multi-page document and when you click on the error does it take you to the location where that problem is?
There are several things that could cause this problem.  The Figure or other tag that contains the alt text must have content. It cannot be an empty tag.
It also cannot have another Tag inside of it containing the content.  There must be some actual content directly within the Tag with the alt text, not nested inside another Tag, if that makes any sense.
Or, there may be another Figure Tag that has no content. That, too, will generate an error.
If neither of those suggestions work, if you post the file I can probably find the problem.

  • Linking a pdf to an MS Access report.

I am looking for a way to link a pdf file to an MS Access report. I have a table with the pdf file name and the path to the file. It also states the number of pages in the pdf. What I am looking for is a way to link this to a report for viewing and printing. I have used custom tools by pdf-tools which works great, but I am looking for a way to do it with Adobe, since I already own the professional versionsand would not have to pay for the additional license that pdf-tools requires. The vb code would have to have a way to view and print selective pages. I have the report built and it works with the viewer from pdf tools, but want to be able to modify the report to do it with Acrobat pro. Below is the code that I use with pdf tools and again it works great and is real simple to setup and use. Is there any way to replicate this using Adobe Acrobat Pro version 7.
'Code added to print the pdf file.
        Dim Viewer As Object
        Dim PDFPath As Object
        Set Viewer = Controls("PDFViewer1").Object
        Set PDFPath = Controls("DocPath")
            'Viewer.DPI = 600
            Viewer.FitMode = 0  '0=Actual 1=Fit Page, 2=Fit width
            Viewer.Open PDFPath.Value
            Viewer.Page = pdfPageNumber

Do you need to know what the primary key value is before you
do the insert? Do you need to know what it is after? You should let
Access create the value as an AUTONUMBER field, which means that
you would insert all of the fields
except the primary key (ID) field. If you needed the ID
value, you would have to immediately query to get it (select
max(id)...), and probably use cftransaction to ensure that your
insert and select were in the same database transaction, otherwise
on a busy site, you might get the wrong ID value. (SQL Server and
Oracle have better methods for obtaining the last ID values, so
when using Access it is kind of a kludge.)

  • Can Oracle APEX access/report against an Oracle9i datbase?

Can Oracle APEX access/report against an Oracle9i datbase? I know APEX has to be installed on Oracle 11g or 12c. I have a 11g environment to install it in, but I want to have ti read data from an existing 9i databasethat we are unable to upgrade at this time.

APEX can create reports on any data that the database (which is running APEX) can access.
This becomes a database question that is usually found in the General forum:
How can an Oracle 11g database access data from an <place a name of a database here> database?
    One common answers:  Database Links.
(Materialized Views and Golden Gate come to mind... but, again... these are database problems, not APEX problems.)
I'll let others comment on the practicality of these solutions.

  • Access Reports, Forms in Oracle Database

    Hi,
I want to migrate one application from MS-Access to Oracle(8.1.5) Database.
I know, migration of database is possible, but I want to keep the existing Access reports and forms as it is.
Is it possible, Can Access reports and forms run under oracle database.

Initially you write 12345 and when you modify you are modiyfing only 3 bytes from offset 1 and hence the results. When you modify oracle will not erase the complete lob you need to use erase before you modify (write)

    Thanks,

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to show Access reports in SharePoint 2010.
We can publish the Access Reports to SharePoint 2010 via Access Services, the following links for your reference:
