  • Consuming document with different account assignment from Earmarked Funds

    Hi,
We have implemented Public Sector FM functionality in version ECC 6.0 and we are using Earmarked Funds (Funds Reservation).
The system is allowing to post consuming documents with different account assignment from that in the
Funds reservation document nevertheless we donu2019t have set the indicator 'Acct.asst.changeable' in the Funds Reservation document.
I don't need the fields Fund Center and Commitment Item to be transfered from earmarked funds document (Define Rules for Account Assignment Transfer). Instead, if consuming document have a different account assignment, the user should get the error message no. RE603 'Account assignment differs from document XX 001'.
In version 4.6C it worked this way. In our case the Fund Center is delivered from Cost Center and Commitment Item is delivered from Cost Element (SAP - Derivation Strategy for FM Object Assignment).
I hope someone can help me.
    Thanks in advance,
    Rodrigo

    Hi,
You get the error message RE603 when you make the settings below:
    1. Spro > ... > Earmarked funds and funds transfer > Account assignment transfer > Define rules for account assignment transfer; you flag the 'Active' boxes for account assignment (sort of conterintuitive).
    2. Spro > ... > Earmarked funds and funds transfer > Change message control; change RE603 to 'E'.
    3. In Earmarked fund document, flag the 'Acct.asst. changeable' box (totally conterintuitive).
Please give it a try and let us know the outcome.

  • Getting PO account assignment on both sides of the GR/IR accounting doc.

When the GR/IR accounting document is created in our system for a PO item that is account assigned to an order, network or cost centre, the following occurs. On the Goods Receipt, the GR/IR account does not capture the cost assignment on the GR/IR posting.  On the Invoice Receipt, the GR/IR account posting does include the cost assignment on the GR/IR posting.
    For Example:
MIGO posting generates this accounting entry
Debit Expense account, Order 12xxxxxx          $100
Credit GR/IR account                                          $100     (no order on GR/IR line)
    MIRO
    Credit Vendor                                                    $100
Debit GR/IR account, Order 12xxxxxx              $100  (order is posted with GR/IR line)
Although the GR/IR account is a balance sheet account, is it useful, for a reporting task, to have the cost assignment included in the financial posting for both GRu2019s and IRs, but it only appears on the IR side.
Is this something that can be solved by MM configuration?
Comparing posting keys 86 (IR) with posting key 96 (GR) u2013 the cost objects we used are set as optional for both those keys, so it doesnu2019t appear to be posting key configuration.
Note: When the PO item is assigned to a material (GR to inventory) the material appears on both sides of the GR/IR postings in Accounting, which is what we want for items account assigned to orders, networks, and cost center too.
    Thank you. Alvin.

Thanks, but we still get the account assignment posted to GRIR during MIRO (as shown in Alvin's original post) so the full explanation cannot be the fact that GRIR is a balance account.
Essentially, we would like GR and IR-events to pass the same account assignment string to GR/IR, except posting key.
    Thanks for helping.

  • Account Assignment from Material Master or Goods Receipt Document..

We are on ECC 6.0 instance.
For Vendor Cash Discounts we have all the postings going to a default cost center set up as the default account assignment in the cost element master. Because of the default cost center, the  postings are going to the profit center on the default cost center. But the segment getting populated at the line item level is not in line with the segment on the default PC.
This segment is actually the one which is in line with the Profit center in the account assignment on Goods Receipt/Material document or the PC on the Material Master.
Can someone please clarify where this segment would be coming from - from the material master or from the good receipt aka material document?

  • Error in Account Assignment from Material Master to Sale Invoice.

    Dear Gurus,
Pls guide me to resolve this problem:
When i am generating Sales Invoice through vf01, system taking Material Assignment Group as 04, but in material Master assignment Group is 03. Due to this system unable to post accounting document.
Every time user changing that material assignment group through VF02 and saving to post account document ( after changing system posting FI doc).
How system take Material Assignment Group in Sale Invoice. Till now i am checking only Material master. Wht are the other parameters to define Material Assignment group in Sales invoice. <b>This is happending to particular one material only</b>
    Pls guide me.
    Regards,
    Venkat

    Hi
While you define account assignment in TCode VKOA, you have a provision for defining the gl accounts in the combination of the following:
    1. Cust.Grp/MaterialGrp/AcctKey
    2. Cust.Grp/Account Key
    3. Material Grp/Acct Key
    4. General
    5. Acct Key
When you save an invoice it searches in the above order to find a GL account.
May be your setting would have been done only in 1st or 3rd ie., assining the GL account in the combination of Cust.Grp/MaterialGrp/AcctKey and GL Account. Hence if the combination doesn't, it would not generate the accounting document.
If your business process agrees you can define gl account in Account key (4) or General (5) also, by which it would generate an accounting document even if it finds a wrong material group.

  • Substitution of Account Assignment from Asset Master Data

    Hi Gurus,
System is not picking up cost center master data in FI document posting in the following scenario:
Posting in Asset through a transaction type which only post to non leading ledger, cost center is not getting populated in the FI document posted.
For the above issue, I have tried creating a substitution rule with a user exit, but system is not calling this substitution at all - Possible reason being the posting only in loacal ledger and fuction many not available for substituion to work in this situation. I may be wrong but looking at the system behaviour it is not calling the substition at all. I had activated total trace of the substitution but no substitution was called in this case.
In view of the about your expert advise is needed. I try checking BTE available for such situation but did not have any success yet. Any brilliant idea is welcome.
Thanks in advance for your help!!!

    hi Murlidhar Khatri ,
we use cost center assignment in our country, also. please use sap note 940758. when you use that sap note, you will send deppreciation costs to cost center which asset is assgined in master data.
    sap note 940758:
In Asset Management it is only possible to enter one depreciation account for each asset class. However, depreciation should be posted to different functional accounts for the same asset class depending on the category of the cost center on the master data of the asset.

  • Issue copying account assignment from SO to PR

I have one issue : The SO has Internal order and Profit center information. When a PR is created for the SO it only copies PC but not IO for some SO types.
Our client uses a Z transaction which releases the requirement + automatically updates the PR information in SO schedule lines. I feel that the requirements release is done using the standard user exit but updation of PR information in sales order is developed in the program.
Is there any standard customization at SO type or some other place where we define which account assignments get copied from SO to PR ?
    Thank you
    Raghu

Thanks sir, but I still can't get the point. Our problem is when we copy the document from Sales order to delivery, the discount column which can be found below the 'total before discount' of the SO document has an amount, let say 2% and I expect that if I use the copy to Delivery dcument functionality, the same information must appear to the target document. The problem is after it was copied to DR, the discount has been lost.
    Thanks,

  • Need to find how to relate the purchase order table with account assignment

i need to reterieve the account assignment from the table bbp_pdacc, what is field or any tables that is between BBP_PDACC and Purchase order number or the purchase order items. I am working on the SRM system

    Jacques-Antoine,
You can't directly translate a repeating node or element (such as an Item or a Project Task from the Accounting Coding Block of an Item) to a singular node or element.
The reason is that, though your use case may have the elements assumed to be the same for all items, this isn't necessarily the case, so ByDesign won't assume that you can use that kind of logic.
The simplest approach would be to do an On-Save at the Root node of the Purchase Order along the following lines:
    this.projecttaskpo = this.Item.GetLast().ItemAccountingCodingBlockDistribution.AccountingCodingBlockAssignment.ProjectTaskKey.TaskID;
i wouldn't actually recommend this code.
You'd need validations for IsInitial, IsSet, and those kinds of functions.
i'd at least use some foreach loop to check that all the accounting coding blocks were for the same task, raise warnings if they weren't, etc.

  • Account Assignment Category K in KOB2

    Hello,
A purchase order with account assignment category K (Cost center) appears in the commitment line items for orders list (KOB2) while there is no relation between the shown internal order and the purchase order/requisition.

    Hi
At the time of Po creation u can give multiple account assignment which can be distibuted on Qty or percentage base .
To do this Go to account assignment tab in PO item Detail-->select multiple account assignment from distibution select Distibution based on Qty or percentage basis  Give required cost centers
So that at the time of GR material can be issued to both Cost center

  • ML81N Make FM fields display only in account assignment

Requirement is to make FM fields already derived from PO (derivation working correctly) display only or add an error message. Easy I thought just go to config for SES and click on Additional Fields display only (Cost Center?, WBS element? there was no funds management fields available)...then after some time investigating
Have debugged the transaction and found some possibilities.
    (1) BADI TR_GET_ACCNT_ASSIGN called in function FM_ACCOUNT_GET_COBL from MS_ACCOUNT_ASSIGNMENT.
    (2) User Exit EXIT_SAPLFMCH_001 called in function FM_CHANGE_AA_SUBST
    (3) Use FMDERIVE to somehow check the PO derivation
Just wondered if anyone had taken this further before I spend a lot more time understanding the whole process in order to achieve a small bit. Please I am a technical resource not FM specialist.
If I could understand the process flow, at least it might help me make quickest simplest solution.
    thanks,

    Hi,
You can customize the field status in tx OME9 for the relevant account assignment category.
But be aware that this customizing will be valid for all purchasing documents and transactions - not only for ML81N and the services area.
During SES postings, inheriting the FM account assignment from the reference PO is the standard and expected behaviour, so you may see that FMDERIVE is not called when the PO reduction is to be posted during ML81N. Instead, the FMAA is read from table FMIOI and fmderive is skipped in those lines (fi transaction keys KBS/WRX, for instance).
I hope this will help you
    Kind regards

M8063 Diagnosis The document contains no posting lines with a value other than zerou201D.
But when I make a good receipt MIGO, so I can post my invoice correctly (MIRO).
The business process is to post a MIRO referring to a PO with multi-account assignment without a GR.
    Thanks

the GR-Based Inv. Verif indicator in vendor master record is untick.
however, I can now post ,but before, in MIRO, I have to enter the quantities and the amounts in the multi account assignment dialog box (in MIRO, clic on the buton called Acct Assgt).
so the question now, why doesn t  the system default the multi-account assignment from the PO?

  • FM Account Assignment is incomplete (Funds Center)

    Dear all,
We are upgrading from 4.6C to 6.0, when i am post invoice to accounts it shows the message FM Account Assignment is Incomplete (Funds Center). I think in order i have to enter Fund Center but in order it dosenot enter me the funds center at item level in Account assignment category.
Can any one please give some solution for the same.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Pankaj

    Dear Pankaj
Reproducing the extract taken from "Funds Management" of SAP which I though would be helpful to you
If the system can determine an FM account assignment from the FM-CO assignment table, this appears as the default value.
If the sytem cannot determine an FM account assignment, you must enter one by choosing Assignments -> Funds Management.
The FM account assignments that you have to enter depends on the field control.  You should choose this in a such a way that you have to enter the funds center and, if required the fund.
Owing to the account assignment logic applying in Funds Management, the system can derive the commitment automatically in the subsequent postings - for example, from the G/L Account or Cost element.  If the commitment item is derived from the cost element, you should ensure that the same commitment item is assigned to the primary cost elements and to the settlement cost elements.
As long as the FM account assignment in a network/network activity is not complete according to the field control, the order status HMKU (FM account assignment incomplete) is active.  This status prevents automatic generation of purchase requisitions for components and services procured externally as well as releasing the order.
    thanks

  • Account Assignment Tab From Backend

    Hi All,
We have a process in which we get a PR generated they start from MD03 (Single MRP). After this we open the Purchase Requisition thru MD04. While the PR is opening i wrote the code in BADI 'ME_PROCESS_REQ_CUST~OPEN' and defaulted the 'Account Assignment Cat' for the item to 'C'  (this part works just fine). But the 'Account Assignment Tab' is not showing up.
When i am adding another item in the same screen with 'Account Assignment Cat' for the item to 'C' the tab shows up. But it is not showing when i am setting the 'Account Assignment Cat' in background.
Does any one has any idea what needs to be done? Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Karuna.

    Hi All,
This has to be done on config side. Found the config solution for this. I am closing the post.
