Activating Retail 4.7 System

Dear Gurus,
I have installed SAP IDES 4.7.1 in my system. I want to activate Retail in my system. As Tx. SFW5 is not available in SAP 4.7, i went to SPRO =>SAP R/3 Extension Set and checked on EA-RET(Retail). However on saving i get error "Data Record does not exist". There is no detailed help for this error. Could anyone help me installing Retail in my system or anyone who has faced similar error? Thanks a lot in advance.
PS. I am unable to upgrade to ECC 6 due to system constraints.

While executing program SETRETAILSYSTEM, i am getting following error:
"The following software components do not allow you to set retail flag.
EA-IPPE   SAP R/3 Enterprise iPPE
LSOFFE    LSOFE (Learning Solution - Front End)
ST-PI        Solution Tools Plugin "
Could you please help me to deactivate the above components present.

Activating Retail Extension in SAP 4.7

Hi...I have activated Retail extension in my system by Switching on the Retail indicator in SPRO - Change Extensions. But when i am going to create Article using MM41 it is showing the error "Retail materials cannot be maintained in industry system".
When i am checking the status of the system using the program GETSYSDEF, It is stil giving this message "System is set as a manufacturing system". Please suggest.

Can you please help me for the same issue. I am having SAP 4.7.1 installed and want to activate retail. I went to SPRO, and checked on EA-RET. However soon after putting checking mark, i get error "Data record does not exist". GETSYSDEF is still showing as manufacturing system.

Report showing the number of active users in the system

All,
There is a standard SAP report which shows the number of active users in the system (output same as AL08).
Does anyone remember this?

There is no active nametab in the system???

When i excuted my program i am getting a message which is given below.
Thee is no active nametab in the system, although an active ABAP/4 Dictionary object was expected.
What might be wrong?

I am not using any customized table. As you said, i am using a Function module to explode the BOM. I am usinf this FM in my Customized FM. and also i am using one customized FM as a header for my report.

Could you please state what exactly is the requirement to do that?
At user level you can get the curret workitems assigned to a user from table SWWUSERWI.
Check this table for all users.

I have the same issue. When trying to open the acrobat XI Pro for the first time, you are obligated to sign in with your account. But signing in is taking about an hakf hour now, while I have no problems signin in trough adobe.com with the same username and password.

Error while activating r/3 souce system

hello guys ,
encounterd an error while activating the r/3 source system ...
rsa1> source system> r/3 ( activate)
errors : " entry in inbound table is not found"
"entry in outbound table is not found "
as a result r/3 source system is not activated .
so kindly reply to the above query..

The connection to R/3 is not correctly set.
The partner profiles are not available in this case. You can check this in T-code WE20 in R/3 under type LS.
Please recreate the source system in BW from RSA1.

Error when activating Datasource in Source System

Dear All,
I am gettting this error when activating data source in source system(RSA5).
1)DataSource 0NETWORK_CUST_ATTR; switch to package PS_IS_EHP3_SFWS_SC is off.
2) The extract structure DTTV_REC_53 of the DataSource 0TV_REC_531 is invalid
Message no. R8444
Diagnosis
An invalid extract structure has been assigned to the DataSource. An extract structure has to be active in the DDIC. It cannot be a view, since the customer is not able to add append fields for filling in the customer exits to a view.

ECC(IS Retail) between POS system

Hi in ECC where should i check aggreate sales trasactions, payment transactions at the day end.
A) Does system creating single sales order, if yes where can i see...
B) If i want report payment made through only credit cards and only cash and gift vouchers, in which transaction we can see.
C) Billing list created in POS, where we can execute report in ECC(retail system)

You can use transaction code WPER (POS Interface Monitor) to check Aggregated Sales Data & Payment List Data.
A. System does'nt create any sales document in the system.
B. If you want to see Means of Payment like cash, Credit Card etc,
Go to WPER - Inbound Processing - Documents Processed - WPUTAB Payment List - Expand IDoc - Double click on any billing document.
C. Question is not clear.

Sending Serial numbers of the article to IS RETAIL to POS system

we are doing implementation to an Electronic Retailer. For this retailer we have to maintain <b>serial number</b> in our inventory for each and every article for Goods Receit as well as Goods Issue. Here we are getting Serial Number option at the time of Receiving GRN through MIGO. But we need to send the same serial numbers to POS system through IDOC. After sales we receive the same serial number through inbound IDOC.
For this Process i need information how to send/receive IDOC for this serialised articles. Message Types. If possible T-code if it is having seperate t-code

There is one enhancement type segment u can use that segment for serial number

What an Activity does depends on how you categorize it in the IMG. For example 0010 Check Suitability is a Simple Activity. Heres a brief explanation of how some of the Activity Categories work.
Simple Activity
This is like a simple checklist. There is no system functionality behind it. Once the activity is done you mark it as complete.
Qualifying Event
These are similar to Simple Activities. There is no functionality for these activities alone, but in completing these activities, like a Job Interview, you complete fields that can be used in an invitation to the event.
Simple Correspondence
A letter form (SmartForm) is assigned to activity types of this category. These activity types enable letters to be sent via the Internet, to be printed by an R/3 system, or to be edited locally at the front end.
Invitation
A letter form (SmartForm) is also assigned to activity types of this category. In addition, the activity types always refer to a qualifying event that is open for invitation. It uses information in the Qualifying Event (time & location) to complete the invitation. The documents can be processed in the same way as simple correspondence.
Status Change
Activity types of this category change the status of the associated object. You can define the new status per activity type and per object type. Status changes also initiate Workflow
Questionnaire
Questionnaire can be assigned to activity types in this category. These activity types enable questionnaires to be sent to candidates using the Internet or to be included in the application wizard through a Process Template.
I found the documentation in the IMG to be quite helpful in this area. I hope this helps.

Jumping to an IMG Activity in a different system

I´m writing a report where several data fields from tables are shown. When I click on them, I want to go to the IMG activity where the corresponding tables are modified.
Do you know how I can realize this? Moreover, there is the problem that the IMG activities are partially in a different system...
