Activity Creation from Survey Response

Does anyone know the standard program (or process) that is run in CRM that creates activities from the survey responses?  I am trying to implement campaign automation which is triggered from the activity via an action, but I am not sure how you get the survey response to create the activity.  Is there is a program that needs to be run to use the entries in the CRM_SVY_DB_SV and CRM_SVY_DB_SVY tables?

Thanks for the information, but maybe I didn't state my question clear enough.
This is what I am trying to achieve and according to what I have read in the SAP Campaign Management Best Practice document, it should be able to be completed.
Create a survey using the CRM_SURVEY_SUITE under the Marketing folder.   Use the standard PBO and PAI interfaces (CRM_SVY_ACTIVITY_CREATE_PBO and CRM_SVY_ACTIVITY_CREATE_PAI).  I generate a URL and send it via e-mail through a Campaign in the Marketing Planner that uses campaign automation.
When the response to the survey is submitted, it should generate an activity transaction type 0000 automatically and then trigger the next step of the campaign automation process.
The issue that I am having is that I am never getting the 0000 activity type to generate based on the survey being submitted.  The answers are getting saved in the CRM_SVY_DB_SV and CRM_SVY_DB_SVY tables, but no activity.
Do you know what is suppose to generate the activity from the survey response?

    I'm trying to implement a scenario in campaign automation (CRM2007) where an activity is created when in a survey response a particular questions is answered with a specific answer (for example, when question X has answer Y, an activity (task) should be created so that customer service can pick this up).
    In the scenario outgoing mail as the response are generated in CRM. But how will i go about the creation of the additional tasks? After the decision node (when question X has answer Y --> campaign element Z) i put campaign element Z with communication medium Activity with an Activity Template associated to it. The workflow puts the business partner in the campaign element (number responses is + 1) but a activity is not created.
    Your help will be very much appreciated!

    Note: In the seconde BADI modify the method to add your transaction type.

  • Service activity creation in SAP from MSP (Microsoft Project)

    Dear All,
    As we are planning to integrate  SAP & MSP, I have one query regarding service activity creation in SAP from MSP.
    In case of service activity in SAP we have to assign respective services also otherwise it does not get saved.So when we transfer service activity from MSP (after maintaining the respective control key in MSP ) how we will manage with all services because we can not define these service in MSP.
    Apart from that we have some procurement parameters also like material group, purchasing org, price, outline agreement....we have nothing in MSP for these...so how we will  manage with this.....

    I agree with you that by flexible field mapping we can do but my concern is that service activity should have services also defined in MSP  because when this will come to SAP , it will ask for services & if services are not available then this will fail.

    We have an Office 365 implementation and are utilizing the hosted SharePoint to collect survey responses using the default survey app.  We continually collect survey responses, but only want to have up to date information.  Is it possible to automatically
    delete survey responses older than a specified number of days?

    Please can you help ME, i am not able to create PO of services, here is my process :
    SC created in SRM - > SC goes to sourcing -> buyer creates RFx -> RFx is sent to bidder -> bidder processes RFx Response -> buyer accepts RFx response -> buyer creates follow on document (PO) from RFx Response (create PO).
    Error message:  /SAPPSSRM/HIER 015
    Product type XXX  of item differs from type XXX of product XXX.
    N.B : PO based on materials number work fine.

  • Survey response in campaign automation

    Hi Experts,
    I have set up a campaign automation scenario in CRM 7.0 but am not able to trigger next campaign element based on survey response. The campaign automation scenario is as below.
    Campaign u2013 Campaign Element 1 -> Decision Node -> Campaign Element 2
    u2022     Campaign element1 has a target group assigned. Workflow "Send target group to Channel" is selected. The Channel is set up to create Business activity.
    u2022     Set up a standard u201CQuestionaireu201D rule in the decision node to send all those BP to u2018campaign element2u2019 who have responded u201CYesu201D to the survey.
    u2022     In the u2018campaign element 2u2019 selected workflow u201Ctransfer Responder to Channelu201D and selected sales order in the communication medium.
    When I u201CStart processu201D from campaign, it creates Business activity for u2018campaign element 1u2019. The survey is also created in business activity. But, when I update survey response within the activity, it does not trigger next campaign element.
    I have even tried maintaining an empty target group in u2018campaign element 2u2019 and selected workflow as u201CAdd BP to target groupu201D. Even in this scenario, BP are not updated in the empty target group after responding to survey.
    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi Umesh,
    When you send printed letter, the automation scenario is broken there.
    Complete automation will work only if you are sending the campaign with E-mail and survey(trackable). Only these values can trigger the follow up steps (workflows).
    If dont opt for the above mehod, you will have to creae campaigns for each step. You cannot have campaign automation. You can optimize the steps by choosing ELM to create mass Lead and TG at one shot. Later you can use this TG for next campaign.
    Automation is not possible without trackkable URL.

    Hi all,
    does anyone knows, how to configure a simple survey response scenario. I created a survey which I send to customers. If the customer click on the url, fill out the survey and send it back....nothing happens.
    I don't know what'S wrong....so if anybody have an idea or a good guide or blog...let me know

    Hi Tobias,
    When you sending a survey to a customer just append ++ at the end of the URL in your mail form. It is the tracking ID.
    Also ensure that the Survey settings have checkbox, Evaluation with and without Business information Warehouse Ticked (Tcode: CRM_SURVEY_SUITE)
    If you are sending survey via campaigns, ur survey should be craeted in the Marketing Application.
    For every response which comes from the customer an Activity of trnasaction type 0000 gets created. Also if u check in transaction CRM_SURVEY_SUITE, there is a button called Evaluation click on that after selecting ur survey, it shall also show u the response.

  • Marketing survey responses not received

    Dear Experts,
    CRM 6.0
    We have created a survey in CRM_SURVEY_SUITE and have included the URL for the survey in a mail form. Subsequently we created an email campaign which sends out the survey to the customers. Once the customers receive the survey, they maintain answers to the questions in the survey and click on the save button.
    The screen after this changes saying "your request is being processed" and then a BSP termination errors is received. Would someone please be able to send me a list of tasks to be undertaken for getting the survey responses. We are running a standard scenario and hence I was expecting creation of activity records of type 0000 but nothing of the sort happened.

    I would like to clarify certain things for CRM Survey suite.
    My client was initially sending survey to internal customers, means within the org, the scenario ran fine and was getting responses also.
    Now they have got a new box and they want to extend this functionality to end customers also, mean to external e-mail ids. Now I would like to know whether if we configure a survey and send the url of that survey

  • Automatic Partner Determination Std Contact Person during Activity Creation

    Hi ,
    There is a requirement in my project where the Standard Contact Person of the Sold to Party  should be automatically determined during Activity Creation .I have completed the Partner Function configurations and now the Standard Contact Person is  being successfully determined as the Partner.
    However, there is a problem in a scenario where in another Contact Person other than the Standard Contact Person is to be determined during Activity Creation . In that case, the option to select the other Person is not being offered through a pop up window, but the System automatically populates the next Contact Person based on the BP Id ( Next on the Number Range )
    Is there any way , so that the normal procedure of selecting one Contact Person from a list in the Pop Window can be incorporated , once the standard Contact Person is being removed from the Contact Person field in the Business Transaction .

    Hello Maroof,
    you should check first the standard relationship flag of the account. Means check the account and go to the
    relationship contact person.
    There you will find the standard Relationship Flag, which is relevant for the system to determine the main CP.
    Furthermore please check the partner procedure:
    For each partner function you can enter a value in field Maximum and Selection Limit. Please consider the F1 help
    for the field Selection Limit where you can find the explanation when and how the selection popup is triggered:
    Example 1
    You enter 3 in this field.
    When the system finds three or more partners who could fulfill this partner function, it displays a selection list.
    You choose from the list which partners to enter in the transaction.
    Example 2
    You do not mark this field, but enter 5 as the Maximum for this partner function.
    When the system finds six or more appropriate partners it displays a selection list.

    I have activated material check for maintenance order, and system is checking material availability. But system is not generating purchase requisition if material not available.
    PR creation from main order is feasible in case I will select item category as Non Stock - N; but system is not creating PR for stock item IC - L.
    Can u further guid me, how system will generate PR for material assign in maintenace order, but required stock not available.

    Hi,
    As Venu told, for the Item Category L, system will create the reservation. While running MRP for that item, system will check the stock qty & required qty, then it will create the PR for the unavailable qty.
    Only for item category N, from maintenance order, PR will be created.
    Maintain the MRP type in Material Master.

  • How to stop PR creation from PM work order for a particular vendor?

    Hello Experts,
    We have following scenario for breakdown maintenance activities.
    When a machine breaks down, a breakdown order is created in SAP. The external manintenance services are planned in the order. When the order is released, a single PR (with multiple item numbers corresponding to number of services) is created by SAP. The PR has a release strategy. When PR is released, PO is created followed by the SES.
    The practice followed AS -IS for breakdown outside business hours:- If the breakdown happens outside business working hours, the person releasing the PRs is not available & hence PR can not be released resulting in no PO & no subsequent SES.
    In this case, the maintenance is completed by the external agency & the work order is TECO. The next day, TECO is reveresed, new PR is created, released, converted into PO, & then SES.
    TO-BE process:- Client expects that, for certain vendors identified, PR should not get created at all from the breakdown order. (The list of  vendors will be maintained seperately). For these vendors, a framework order will be created at the start of fiscal year & SES will be created as & when required agaainst the framework order.
    My concern is :- How to stop PR creation from PM work order for a particular vendor? OR delete the created PR?

    I am giving a different dimension to your question check if it fulfills your requirement -
    As we know Vendor selection comes at a later stage only after your PR creation, approval & RFQ etc. & PR generation from maintaine. order is controllled through control key PM03.  While triggering PR from order you have to specify Material group, Purchase group and vendor. Try to control it through authorisation as all these are authorisation objects. The persons executing breakdown order shall no t be given this authoriations

  • Sending Product Activity Notification from R/3 to APO using XI

    I am trying to send a product activity notification from a backend R/3 system to APO using XI.The idoc Proact01 is getting generated and in XI when Executing transaction 'sxmb_moni' the status is showing 'processed successfully'. But in the message monitoring of
    XI runtime workbench, the messages of the adapter engine has the status 'System Error'.
    The error log is showing:
    Error Exception caught by adapter framework:
    error while processing message to remote system:com.sap.aii.af.rfc.core.client.RfcClientException: functiontemplate from repository was. 
    Error Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: error while processing message to remote system:com.sap.aii.af.rfc.core.client.RfcClientException: functiontemplate from repository was .
    Iam using a rfc adapter in the communication channel from XI to APO and using standard mapping provided in the SCM content in SAP Marketplace.
    How can i troubleshoot this.

    If you use the SCM content you are on the right track!
    Try to do a bit more research regarding this content.
    I guess that the message type used in the ProductActivityNotification_In Interface has similar structure or data types to your destination object(RFC,PROXY,BAPI).
    So i suggest you to go over the SCM content documentation and you'll find the right communication channel to be used.(Don't re-invent what SAP thought about all ready...)
    One of the questions you should ask yourself regarding the Activity Notification is:
    A.Do you need a response back to the R\3 (as part of the business process?)
    B.do you have an interface in the SCM imported content called ProductActivityNotification_out.

  • Survey Response vanishes

    a co-worker created a survey. After testing for a while, he mailed a link to the survey to his users.
    After a couple of days, he checked and the survey reports 5 responses.
    He mails the remaining users asking them to please complete the survey.
    One of the users responds back that he submitted his responses on the first day.
    On careful examination of the responses that do show, the response IDs are 17, 18, 19, 20, and 22.
    So, there is an ID that I would have expected to find, but I do not see there.
    When the user attempts to fill out the survey again, he gets a vague error that in the ULS correlates to "You cannot take the survey a second time" (seriously Microsoft? You can't just say that to the user on their screen?)
    So the user cannot retake the survey. The user's response is not in the list of responses. A response ID is "missing" in the list of responses.
    I do not see any way to examine the list directly, but from what I can see, I doubt I would see anything different if I could see the "naked" data.
    The respondent and the survey creator are not satisfied with the situation as it is now.
    Obviously the user could recreate his survey using surveymonkey or some other web site designed for surveys.
    However, I have several groups who want or need to use the surveys heavily. I am hesitant to recommend it given this issue.
    Is this common - for responses to just vanish?
    If so, does anyone know why it happens or what to do to get the responses back?
    If not, does anyone have any ideas what might have gone on?

    These survey responses don't vanish, SharePoint doesn't make incomplete entrie visible to anyone, even the administrators. 
    What you'll need to ask the users experiencing that message to do is to click on the "view all responses" link and to edit thier current entry, or delete it and then retake.

    Do you mean you select activity diagram in wizard but you see classes (not invocations/partitions etc) on created diagram?
    If so.. it's a design, you just see activity diagram with inappropriate elemnts.
    We support to create any diagram from any elemnts but may be it's better to block diagram creation from not appliable elemnts.

    Dear PM Gurus,
    For Manual material availability Check to work before release, the Purchase Requisition check is to be set to Immediately in SPRO-> Define Change Docs and Collective PR or Activating Pr from Now On from Maintenance Order. The issue is that I want to restrict the creation of Purchase Requisition to Release of Maintenance Order but what is happening is upon saving the Maintenance Order, the PRs for all non stock materials are created and I also want the manual availability check to work before release.
    Simplifying above details:
    I want Manual material availability check to work and PR generation from release both in my Maintenance Order to work..

    I had seen the configuration settings that you are telling me but you see the Problem is:
    If in Define Change Docs, Collective Purc. Req. Indicator, Operation No. Interval, you define the Res/PReq Indicator as Immediately, then the Manual Material Availability Check would work accurately but upon saving the Order, System would generate the Purchase Requisition.
    and If in Define Change Docs, Collective Purc. Req. Indicator, Operation No. Interval, you define the Res/Preq Indicator as From Release, then the Manual Material Availability Check would not work as no material is as such MRP relevant till the time of releasing the Order but the Purchase Requisition would be created only when the Order is released.
    Now What I want is both the Manual Availability Check to work and Purchase Requisition Creation From Release, but this is not possible according to the Standard SAP System. A workaround could be that I configure the automatic material availability upon release and configure the Res/Preq indicator as From Release, that way the material availability would be checked when the order is released and Purchase Requisitions would also be created from Release but still the Manual Availability Check would not work.
    The Ideal Solution should have been configuring the Res/Purchase Requisition Indicator for all Non Stock Materials to be From Release and the Res/ Purchase Requisition Indicator for all Stock Materials to be Immediately. This way your manual availability Check would work for all Stock Materials and Purchase Requisition for all Non Stock materials would only be created upon Release. But this  But still this is an ideal solution not the actual solution for standard SAP does not give you the flexibility to do such a setting in customizing or using Enhancement.
    The Work Around Solution given by SAP is as follows: The system provides the following workaround:
    After you change the indicator for materials planning-relevance to
    "immediately" you can execute the availability check as required. You must
    not save the order or network.
