Actual Hours on Process Orders

I am evaluating different technologies to collect and enter actual working hours of operations staff into SAP process orders.  Does anyone have an ideas or solutions to accuratly collect and transfer the information?  I am looking for some automation into the collections and data transferring process.

Have you considered looking at the partners under Human Resources in the SAP store. I looked under HR and time collection and I found the following
B-COMM ERP 4 SAP ERP - from Kaba Work Force Management Kaba - Workforce Management, Time and Attendance, Access Control
Unfortunately I do not have any direct experience with this product, but during my searches it comes up many times. So I feel that it would be a good place to start.

  • Std Costing and Actual costing at process Order

    Hello Friends,
    Followings are the client requirements, Please give me your ideas :-
    1 . Costing variant is same for all three - costing run, process order (plan and actual), means there is no prices variance on process order level. ( material at std price, Activity plan price, overhead fix%)
    2. Alongwith this above client also need to capture actual result (material at MAP, activity at monthly actual price, overhead fix %)
      In this case there is price and  usage variance can see.
    Now as I think that both scenarios are not possible on process order level.  According to me we can do by a customize actual costing cockpit.
    Need your openion that do we have any option thru standard funcations of sap to get this requirement.  If you need any other explanation , please do let me know.

  • Actual Template Allocation - Process Order Handling

    Hi all
    Could somebody give me some input to an issue I am facing.
    I am working on a best practice baseline for Chemicals and have setup a Template to allocate overheads to materials. The allocation is fixed no matter the lot size of the process order.
    At month end when running the closing process I use the transaction CPTD to allocate the actual template overhead to each process order.
    However this transaction picks up and re-allocates overhead to process orders already confirmed, delivered and settled.
    This is of course not what I expected as these orders have been fully completed, so I am thinking that I am missing step in closing down the process orders correctly.
    Is there a status on the process order that will cause that order to be excluded from the CPTD, or am I missing some configuration?

    I am using environment 9 yes.
    My formula is very simple:
    On Object I have:
    SenderCostCenter = '130570' AND
    SenderActivityType = 'LABORA'
    And then I have simply put "1" in Plan Quantity and Actual Quantity.
    So what it does is it allocates the unit cost of the combination of cost center 130570 and act. type LABORA one time to each material/order no matter lot size.
    Should I perhaps have put "1" into the Plan Fix and Actual Fix instead?

  • Actual settlement: Production/Process Orders

    Hi Gurus,
    am doing production order through CO88 for fiscal year 2008 period of April. at that time am getting the following error.
    Account determination for entry CFCL PRD 0001 PRF 3101 not possible
    i know the solution for that.
    but when i was done for fiscal year 2007 i did not get this error now only am getting. i run 12 periods for fiscal year 2007 at that time i did not get.
    So please let me know the reason for the error. We need to do any thing for year end or 2007 for the production orders.
    Its very urgent.

    Hi:
                When we talk about actual activity hours then in how many ways it can impact variance calculation. We have aggregated our work centers and hence define an aggregated machine hour for it. Is it ok? E.g
    A work center X constitute of 3 machine aggregated
    A
    B
    C
    Machine hours has been entered in for X after combining the hours required by A,B,C . Please guide.

  • Changes in process order against actual/standard bom

    Dear GURUS
    We are from Process Industry.
    Suppose there is finished material A. Components of A (BOM) for qty - 1
    Component    qty.
       X                 1
       Y                 2
       Z                  3
    One process order is created of A for qty 1.
    Then I had deleted the component Z from the created po and change the qty Y from 2 to 3 or any one.
    How can I track these changes against standard bom? Is there any report for same.
    I would also like to know the deviation in process order against standard bom and issued qty against BOM.
    I try Tcode COOISPI . Table STPO and RESB but not getting success.
    Also try MCRX, MCRE but it show actual issed against process order qty. But I would like to see diff. bet. Actual BOM , Process order and actual qty.

    Hi Rajan,
    I think that this kind of control is designed in SAP through CO, meaning that in product cost controlling you have 3 sets of costs: standard as per BOM, target as per the definition in the the production order (e.g. after you changed the components), and actual as per the actual goods issues.
    These sets contain not only costs data, but also quantities.
    There's also very nice functionality to do a variance analisys between the three, again, not only cost but also quantity.

  • Process order - The hour details are not being pulled through

    Hi friends,
    Details of Issue:
    COR3 - Our Production Department have entered hours into COR6N as usual but these hours are not pulling through to the actual section in costs analysis screen.
    Reason:
    CORT - Process order xxxx , counter 36 & 37 - indicates hours are captured during process order confirmation.
    and
    C203 - We have found that the Activity Type ZFOH07, which is showing the consolidated value of all the other activity types like ZLBR06, ZVOH06 & ZFOH06, in cost analysis report. In the process order xxxx master recipe xxxx is being used, in which this single activity type ZF0H07 is assigned multiple times. Hence after the confirmation of the process order, all values related to other activity are following into a single activity type ZFOH07.
    Solution:
    C202 - However, when I tried to change the Master Recipe, it is not in disply mode.
    CORS, COR2 - Without make the changes to recipe, how can we proceed to cance all comfirmations and read PP master data in process order.

  • Actual Over Head Calculation for process order

    hi!
    I have created a costing sheet for  over head, which will be based on labour activity cost.
    the base is labour cost for which I have given secondary cost element ( assigned in activity type for labour hours) in costing sheet and maintained over head rate for planned & actual. in credit of costing sheet for over head I have given secondary cost element with internal order.
    first question is : when internal order posting will happen? I am assuming , when production order settlement is done, over head cost has to be accrued to internal order. is my assumption is correct? because in line items of internal order , i couldn't see any thing.
    second question is : in process order, system is showing over head cost under planned cost, but it is showing ZERO in actual cost column. I have executed KGI2, system is not showing any senders or receivers. but when I executed KGI2 with dialog dipslay check box, system shows the calculations as per cost sheet correctly under condition value column.
    Please let me know where I missed ? how to get actual over heads in process order.
    in process order in cost analysis in the actual/target cost layout, system is showing the over head costs. but where as in "cost trend" layout, system is not showing over head cost.
    can any one help on above points.

    Have a look at TCode IW37N (Order/operation overview) and display the Work and Actual Work fields.

  • Process Order Cost Analysis Target and Actual Quantity Missing

    This is related to Process order costing .
    Issue : Before activating  Material Update field in Costing view 1 of Material master , we have created few process orders and Delivered .
    Hence cost analysis shows Actual and target cost fields  Empty in COST ANALYSIS  report of  order  . After Updating field in Material master , New Process orders are calculated with Actual and Target cost .
    Solution needed : How to do Actual and Target cost estimation back in cost analysis report  for old process orders which are created before Material Update field ?

    You have deleted the Component in the BoM.
    Then you have created a production order, check if the start date of this order is after the date change in the BoM..... Can be that the component stills exists in the order ? Have you tried deleting the compoent in the order BoM ?

  • Actual Cost & Quantity not update in Process Order

    Process order confirmed from Production person before maintain the actity price rate.
    hence those confirmation are gone in to the error & found in t.code COFC
    afterword the activity rates are maintained & we reprocess those confirmation thorugh COFC, now there is no COFC entries
    but still actual quantity & cost not updated.

    I updated Standard cost of a raw material through a cost estimate and also ran cost estimate of the FIN that is using this raw material but when I am creating a Process order, it is taking the cost of this particular raw material from the previous estimate not the recent one to calculate the target cost. Can any body help me with this.

    My Valuation variants for the Costing Variant of Cost Estimate and Production order (Actual/Plan) cost calculation are in Sync to get the prices according to the price indicator in material master. But when it calculates cost for a production order, it is picking up cost from the previous period for that particular raw material. I have updated the standard cost by running the cost estimate but still its not working.
    Any lead on this. This will be really appreciated.

    when i made process order & i  going for  confirmation in cor6n , on screen fixed & variable overheads values are coming which system had taken from receipe.
    when i did changes in that values which are in hrs & confirm & settle the order, in cost analysis plan cost & Actual cost was seem to be same.
    I dont get why this is happen ? is there any config in order type.
