AD hoc task assignments...

We have a human task which assignees number and order identified ad hoc.
A assignee can chose other assigne. And sent to task to this asgignees and
this process until task complete.
Can we implement this using Oracle BPEL human task?
We touhgt to use loop and reassign the task to the next user until task complete
using bpel diagram declaretively. But We can't solve how we can arrange input and output parameter on diagram. is it tue way?
There is no sample about that on Oracle side.
We need urgent help.
Thanks.

    Does anyone know how to have an email automatically triggered onc ethe "Done" button has been clicked on an Ad Hoc task?

    There is already a feature request for this. Details:
    #23331 : Adhoc Task - configuring a completion email for an ad-hoc task.
    The above feature request is for triggering an email when task is done. There are a couple of other enhancements in the works for other emails / actions related to ad hoc tasks. However #23331 seems appropriate to what Shane is asking for.
    Note that the above feature request is currently being targeted for the RIO product release later this year. It has also bee

    Ad-Hoc task creator namespace
    Hi,
    I'm trying to edit my Ad-Hoc task notification template and wanted to add a means of telling the recipient who assigned the task to them, without going to comments and history. Is there a namespace expression that I can add to the body of the email to do this?
    Using #Performer* only brings in the information about assignee.

    The user who creates an Ad Hoc Task is technically the Customer of that task. Therefore, you can use #Customer.FirstName# #Customer.LastName# to embed the name of the person who created the Ad Hoc Task in the email.

    Instructions for Ad-Hoc Tasks
    In reading the ServiceManager training material a screenshot displays "Task Instructions" under the "Ad-Hoc Tasks" button on the page navigator when an Ad-Hoc task is created.  Currently in our system, this "Task Instructions" button does not display.  The only way a fulfiller sees his or her instructions is through the use of the email generated when the Ad-Hoc task is assigned.  Is there something we need to enable to make this button appear?
    Thanks!
    Charlie

    I believe what you are seeing is the link to the standard Task Instructions for the service- not task instructions for the ad-hoc task. If you go to the Plan tab of a service and click on a task you will see that the task has a tab called "Task Instructions". If there is something filled in on that tab then you will get a Task Instructions link on the right hand side bar of the task in service manager. As far as I know there is no way to include the specific task instructions that were included on the ad

  • UWL ad-hoc task permissions not clear - need restrictions on editing

    When someone registers a task and assigns it to another the person receiving the task has the possibility of clicking "edit" and seeing the editing screen for this task. He thereby is given the possibility of not only changing the task text, but also marking the task as completed even though the task is set to be "Completed awaiting approval". After marking the task as completed he even may delete the task all together. This cannot be the way this is supposed to function.
    Are there permission settings/role assignments I haven't understood, or is this dependant on the UWL XML file editing???

    In our bussiness senario a human task need to use ad hoc workflow.
    Recipient number and recipients id identified as hoc.
    Assigned recipient decide next step assignee names..

    is it suitable to use Oracle BPEL for this reason?

    Can we do it declaratively using bpel using bpel diagram or we can use code inside JSP pages.?

  • Email limit for task assignments?

    I have a Livecycle task assignment that goes out in an email. I have set the email to go to a Livecycle group which contains 12 users. However, only the first 10 users are getting the email. Is there a limit set somewhere to the number of users that are added to the email's "To:"?

    Hi Jasmin,
    Answer for your questions:
    1)the email was configured to take the email address from LDAP. Do I have I include it in the process?
    2) Configured the Home > Services > LiveCycle Process Management ES > Server Settings > Task Notifications -> Task Assignment as bewlow:
    -Subject: Task Assignment - Process: @@process-name@@. Task @@taskid@@ has been assigned to you.
    - Notification Template: @@instructions@@
    Click here to access the task:
    http://@@notification-host@@:/workspace/Main.html?taskId=@@taskid@@
    3) Email setting:
    Home > Services > LiveCycle Process Management ES > Server Settings > Email Settings? Don't forget to check the "Enable Outgoing Message" checkbox.
    The Email settings was set to use IRELAY4U with no user name and password is required, the email address is included, and the Enable box was also checked in the setting.

  • How do you stop a Task from creating a calendar invite?

    In BH v2, when you create a Task with a due date, it sends a calendar invite to your inbox.
    Q: How do you prevent the calendar invite from being sent?
    Cheers.

    RSS only works if you configure it - the assigner cannot guarantee you have subscribed to the RSS feed - Notification by your preferred method is the only satisfactory way to guarantee delivery - assuming you have not disabled all notification paths - Bcentral can do this if you are sure you will be able to see anything assigned to you by other means.
    Doing it this way opens you up to missing task assignments and meeting invitations so it is at your own risk.

  • Include Phase for Phase with role task assignment in cProjects

    Hi,
    When I include a Phase with different tasks and the tasks with Role assignment in to a project,  the task-role assignment is not gettting copied.
    But when I use a Project template with the same Phase-task-Role task assignments, every thing is getting copied. But for Include phase the task-role assignments are not getting copied.
    Can anybody help me how to achieve this functionality?
    Thanks and regards,
    Jashua

    Hi Matthias,
    Thank you very much for your reply.
    Here I have a question.  Because the method ''SET_DEFAULTS_UPON_COPYING'  of the class 'CL_DPR_TASK' is being called in the both cases Create project from template and include a phase in to an existing project.  So, if I implement the BAdI method I think it would effect both the times.  wouldn't it create the role task assignments twice at the time of project creation.
    Also please give me some more details about creating the role-task assignments in this BAdI.
    Thanks and regards,
    Jashua

  • How to configure the ApprovalTask.task

    Hi,
    I have to create a SOA workflow in OIM and we have three different scenario's to be covered in workflow for same Resource Object In OIM.
    1) Some User need only Manger Apporval
    2) Some User need only  Resoure Administaror Group Approval
    3) Some User need need both group and Resouce Administrotor Approval.
    From Java code in Jave Embeeded task i can decide what type of approval need(above three) but
    I am not able to understand how we configure this in Apporval.task in SOA so that it does approval accordingly . Can someone please assist me.
    Thanks,
    Raj.

    Write your code with all your scenarios so that in the end you have identified the values for each possible approver.  If one is not needed, set the value to "false" or some other value and pass it back into your payload.  In your approval task, create an assignment for each.  In the bottom section of each assignment, there is an entry that lets you set an ignore value so use the payload value = 'false' comparison for that assignment.  Then it will skip any of the other approval task assignments in your list of approval tasks.  This will let you still have a single approval task for all the combinations.

  • PWA 2013 "Add a new task" - inconsistent task insertion behavior

    Hi all!
    New to the forum and wondering if anyone out there has insight into what I've encountered with the "Add a new task" feature in on-prem Project Server 2013.
    First some context... I am setting up 12-month projects for different teams to forecast and log their administrative and reactive time for the year.
     We are tracking this within enterprise projects.  The projects have a series of summary tasks that serve to categorize work.  There is a placeholder task within each summary task that establishes duration and where we may assign generic resources
    to establish a baseline cost for the 12 month period for that category of work.  The vision is for team members to go to their PWA Tasks list, "Add a new task", select the project and the summary task to categorize and add their new task to
    the project, enter the task information, and submit for approval.
    My issue appears when the Project Manager approves a task and opens the project in Project Professional because the system appears to exhibit inconsistent
    behavior - Scenario 1 vs Scenario 2 below.
    Scenario 1 – Project structure prior
    to adding a new task:
    Project Summary Task, 260d
    -Summary Task, 260d
    --Placeholder Task, 260d, generic resources assigned, ID=n
    -Summary Task, 260d
    Team member adds a new task and submits.  The new task is inserted as a child task to the summary task selected when adding
    the new task.  This is what PWA Approval Preview shows and what is found when file is opened in Project Professional:
    Project Summary Task, 260d?
    -Summary Task, 260d?
    --New task just added, 2d?, named resource assigned, ID=n
    --Placeholder Task, 260d, generic resources assigned, ID=n+1
    -Summary Task, 260d
    Scenario 2 – Same project structure as scenario 1... team member submits a new task
    and the new task is inserted per below.  This is NOT what PWA Approval Preview shows.  PWA shows the new task as a child of the summary task.  Once approved and the file is opened in Project Professional, the task instead reflects as a child
    task to the placeholder task, and impacts the duration of the original summary task:
    Project Summary Task, 260d?
    -Summary Task, 2d?
    --Placeholder Task, 2d?, generic resource assignments, ID=n
    ---New task just added, 2d?, named resource assigned, ID=n+1
    -Summary Task, 260d
    I am using separate project files to produce the scenario, and as far as I can tell they are set up exactly the same, but one file consistently produces
    scenario 2 behavior and the other consistently produces scenario 1 behavior. It seems that something is different between the two files and causing the issue, but I can't figure out what it is.
    Any idea what I could do to establish consistent (preferably Scenario 1) task insertion behavior from PWA?

    Anyone else running into this?  We're now on the April CU and still experiencing this apparent bug.  I've replicated it in different PWA instances using "Add a new task" from both the timesheet and tasks.
    It only happens on certain projects as Greg mentioned... One way we've been able to pinpoint where it's taking place:  since the bug causes a task to become a summary task, and since most of our tasks have assignments, if a project contains any summary
    tasks with assignments, those may be an early indicator of the bug (after we rule out PM-induced summary task assignments).
    We're seeing this impact our project actuals and reports, so there is a fair amount of going back through approval history and restoring actual hours to the correct calendar dates in the Project Client.  Not ideal, because we are planning to lock that
    capability down in the near future.
    On a whim, I tried using the "Save for sharing" method to fix the issue, and new tasks appeared to insert correctly after that.  Seems OK for a workaround (we'll see how durable it is), but better yet would be consistent new task insertion
    behavior.

  • Ad Hoc quering

    Hi!I am a new user of Hyperion performance suit. How do I specify my queries to define new reports? I am not really aware of databases..

    The user who creates an Ad Hoc Task is technically the Customer of that task. Therefore, you can use #Customer.FirstName# #Customer.LastName# to embed the name of the person who created the Ad Hoc Task in the email.

  • İnbox and MW Task in one iview

    Hi all,
    One of our customers want to see his inbox which has R3 Workflow  and his task which has Portal ad hoc workflow in one iview.
    Is that possible?

    Hi,
    Are you are using UWL?
    If yes then please explain ur scenario a bit.
    As far as i know UWL task iview shows task from all the connectors( sources) in one view.
    I am presently having tasks from Action inbox and Ad hoc tasks in UWL iview without ne effort.
    And if u have a custom iview in which you ant to see the tasks of these two types just have a look at the below thread:
    Uwl iview tab navigation prblem
    I hope this helps.

  • Task Assignment Notifications

    I have a LiveCycle implementation which currently hosts one workflow. We have the "Send an email to the user for new task assignments" check box selected and have specified an email subject and message within the "Task Assignments" section of the "Email Settings" within the LiveCycle administrator. The problem is that now we wish to add another workflow which would require a different email notification on task assignment. My question is how we can make the task assignment notifications process specific? Unfortunately I don't see any property in the Assign Task workflow item in which I can specifiy a notification message - so I appear to only have this one system wide notification message which, as I mentioned above, has already been tailored for one workflow.

    Hi Jeff,
    In Livecycle ES, the product only provides standard e-mail message templates that can be configured using the LiveCycle Admin Console
    for task assignment and reminders.
    In LiveCycle ES Update 1, we have provided the ability to configure these messages on a task/process basis.
    I presume you are still running LiveCycle ES and hence you will need to upgrade to LiveCycle ES Update 1 for this functionality. There are work-arounds in LiveCycle ES leveraging task assignment events however this would require some customization.

  • Trying to use IUWLItemManager to generate a report of all coll room tasks

    Hi Everyone,
    We have made extensive use of the Enterprise Portal Collaboration room Ad-hoc Tasks to organize work across our teams.  Although the "Export to Excel" button does help, we are trying to find a way to more accurately report on these adhoc workflows.  I have written a java program to use the IUWLItemManager class, however there appears to be a limitation.  That limitation seems to be that I can only use this class to view my own personal tasks (i.e. those tasks assigned to me, or created by me).
    What I am trying to do is write a program that will report out status on all collaboration tasks within a collaboration room, regardless of who created the task or who the task is assigned to.
    Does anyone have any ideas?  We are running on NW04S SS10 and using EP 7.0.
    I appreciate your response.
    Regards,
    -Jon

    Hi Shannon,
    So basically you need to filter the elements of a webapp using the datasource field right?
    If this is what you are trying to implement the setup is not that complicated, take a look at this setup:
    1. I have a webapp with a datasource field
    2. I have a second stand alone webapp
    I want to display the items in the first webapp that have in the data source field a specific value from the second webapp:
    {module_webapps id="35209" filter="all" collection="ds" template=""}
    {% for item in ds.items %}
    {% assign ds_name = item.DataSource | strip_html %}
    {% if ds_name == "Item 12" %}
    <h1>{{item.name}} - {{item.itemid}}</h1>
    <ul>
        <li>{{item.DataSource_id}}</li>
        <li>{{item.DataSource | strip_html}}</li>
    </ul>
    {% endif %}
    {% endfor %}
    <pre>
    {{ds|json}}
    </pre>
    See the result here - http://perfume10.worldsecuresystems.com/test1-1 the page contains only the code above.
    Hope this helps,
