Adding Image to fillable form???

So my boss has me create a fillable form where we enter the numbers for equipment that is being rented and it calculates the total at the bottom.  Now I'm being asked to add a clients logo onto the pdf.  I'm really hoping that there is a way to do this where i don't have to keep creating the form over again.
Does anyone know if I can make this happen in Acrobat or will I have to use illustrator to put the logo in and save as a pdf and then make each form fillable?  Uh i really don't want to go through all that.

Here are some links to the Help document that should help:

  • Need help with numbers adding instantly in fillable form

    I am doing a fillable form in acrobat where certain text boxes are being added to one another based on the users answers. It is basically a checklist for life insurance. Only problem I am having is certain numbers from equations aren't being added to my total instantly. You have to click on another box before it will do the addition. Other boxes that don't use a calculation add in instantly. Any idea how to fix or get around this???? Thanks for any assistance you can provide!

    Thanks for the reply! I was able to reset the field calculation order
    but have one field that is not populating right away and I have
    changed it's order everywhere?

  • Is there a way to save a fillable form (in Reader) as a static (uneditiable) image and send it for signature without the recipient being able to revise the fields at all?

    Is there a way to save a fillable form (in Reader) as a static (uneditiable) image and send it for signature without the recipient being able to revise the fields at all? I have designed a number of fillable forms and sent them to our clients as Reader extended pdfs to be filled out and sent back. Now, certain clients want to be able to fill in the fields and save the doc as a pdf that can't be tampered with so that they can send it to their own people for signature to be returned to them hand-signed and scanned via email.
    Since the forms have been secured, and my cleints are only using the free Acrobat Reader, how can they save the filled in form as a static pdf to send on for signature? They do not want to have to print, scan and email. Is there an app, plug-in, simple solution to this?
    Thank you,
    Rumor

    The signature WILL work! I've just looked into it more, thank you so much for pointing me in that direction.
    I get it now, it locks the form fields in place after my coworker fills them in and signs it (as the very last step).
    I wish I would have asked on here a full day ago. Would have saved a lot of headache and Googling.
    Thanks again.

  • Why doesn't the image from my fillable form not appear when I save it as a PDF?

    I created a fillable form and when I save it as a PDF and view my image at the top does not appear. How can I fix this?

    Never mind. Apparently it was just that image.

  • Adding Signature in PDF Fillable form

    We will be creating Adobe PDF Fillable forms, and were looking for the staff to be able to add their signatures either as a jpeg or pdf file, is this possible and how do you do it, also will the field need to just be a text field or something else.
    Thanks for any help.

    PDF preview is not a editing mode...You need to switch back to the editing mode by selecting 'Body Pages' tab from Designer.

  • Adding a line to an adobe fillable form

    I have Adbobe X Pro and I am creating a fillable form. I want to be able to add a box that allows the Adobe reader user to add an additional line or activity to the report. I have been trying to search for this but can't find it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Lauried13,
    You'll need to use LiveCycle Designer to create this type of functionality.  LiveCycle Designer ships with Acrobat X Pro for Windows.  Please take a look at this tutorial for more info: http://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/creating-expanding-form-fields

  • Acrobat Pro XI - I can't seem to be able to edit font sizes in a PDF Fillable Form

    I have a PDF fillable Form which I wish to complete except for a few fields that need to be completed each time the form is submitted, and save it with those static fields completed and signed with an image of my signature.
    Sometimes the font seems to auto change it's size to fit in the field it is intended for, other times it is either too small to read or too large to fit in the box and be readable.  I've chosen the arrow tool and the menu choice Edit; Edit Text and Images, and they don't really seem to do anything.
    One part of the form has two fields for phone numbers (Business and Home) and the Business entry is always too tiny to read, while the Home field is OK.
    Aside from that, there are also two boxes with drop down menus which say Select with an arrow next to them, and one of them for example has choices of Male and Female.  If I select one, later when the form is printed, the gender choice is overprinting on the word Select, making it hard to read.

    Thanks for explaining that.  I wish I had "Locked" all the fields before I started then, since I did get somehow get a couple of them rearranged by accident and it took some (not a lot) of work to get them back in the proper order.
    For the present file, which I am not adding captions to, how would I set the "read only' property?  I looked around in the Tools area and the only thing that looked possible that I found was Protection; Restrict Editing but I didn't go farther yet because it wanted me to set a password before proceeding.
    Is it possible to make individual fields "Read Only" rather than the whole document?
    As for the signatures, what I did is sign on a piece of paper, scan that into a JPG file, and then choose "Sign" from the top menu bar between the Tools and Comment choices:
    This allowed me to drag the image of my signature to the line on the form where I am supposed to sign it, and place it there.  Then when I save the form with that signature on it, if I open it again and go to Forms Edit, I get a message that the form contains no Form Fields, and asks it I want Acrobat to detect fields for me.  If I choose yes, it then detects fields that were not previously filled in, but not the fields in which I had placed default entries before saving it.
    I see where you mean about Signature on the left pane, but if I open that after loading a PDF that I signed using the above procedure, it detects no signature.  So the "Digital Signature" you mention must not be the image of the signature like I am using.  So if I want to  make the image of my signature into a "Digital Signature" that can be verified, do I have to go to some third party paid procedure like Verisign or EchoSign or something or can I somehow self certify the image of my signature?
    I notice, as a side issue, that if I upload the blank unmodified PDF Form to Acrobat.com, it lets me fill it out and saves the file with a "form" extension, and they have a menu choice to Sign, but if you choose that you just get a box in which it expects you to draw your signature with your finger or a stylus I guess, but the result doesn't look much like my signature, and then if you save it to the computer, it does save it as a PDF file, but if you try to print it, the printed document is blank, so that is kind of useless.
    Thanks for your continued help!

  • Issue while changing fields in a fillable form PDF (Acrobat 10.1.4 Pro)

    Good Afternoon!
    This is my first time posting here, so forgive me if this is in the wrong place.
    I am an IT technician trying to support a user who is trying to change a PDF into a fillable form using Acrobat 10.1.4.  She is trying to use the wizard as shown in the image below:
    When she uses this function, Acrobat goes through and automatically detects all possible fields and creates them for her.  Below is an image of the result:
    What she is trying to do is change some of the field types - specifically, she wants to change the box next to "Adult/non-college request" to a check box.  She right clicks on this field to change it, and when she does, Acrobat simply closes.  No error comes up, and she is not given the option to save the document - when she opens it again, it is an ordinary PDF.  In addition, if she creates the form, and then only tries to save the form (without trying to change the fields), Acrobat again simply closes itself.  However, she is able to manually create fillable fields if she does not use the wizard at all, and the document functions normally.
    Any help with this issue would be most appreciated.

    Save early and often.
    I would save the result right after the wizard has made its errors.
    One needs to delete the form field and then manually add the correct type of field. If you want that check box and the next to be mutually exclusive, one gives them the same name and sets the export value for each check box to a unique value.
    I edit forms by opening the "Tools => Forms => Edit fields".
    How to create editable PDF form fields
    I do not like the wizards and create forms by adding all form fields manually according to my planned form design.

  • Damsel In Distress: Embedding Sound Clips in Fillable Forms

    I embedded sounds (WAV files) in my professional 7.0 pdf with both the sound tool and the button tool. I also customized these with my own icon (JPG and PNG images). PROBLEM: once I open my pdf as a fillable form to add comment boxes, all the sound clips disappear, both icons and sounds. QUESTION: how can I embed sounds in my fillable forms? Thank you!

    Thank you, but without LiveCycle Designer where does Acrobat allow me to create a fillable form that my user can submit data back to me via email. Again, I am embedding my sound files in Acrobat, but once I select the Advance Menu|Forms|Make Form Fillable in Adobe Designer, it automatically opens LiveCycle Designer and my embedded sound files disappear. Any other suggestions are welcomed!

  • Fillable Form

    Hello,
    Does any one have any idea, How to generate Fillable form? What I want is, if data exist in xml datafile it should assign to respective form field else let user entre whatever they want to entre. Is it possible to do it? I did design using Acrobat 7.0. When I run it from Template viewer, it did come up with enterable form but did not assign values from XMl data file to existing fields. It let me enter and save what ever I entered.
    I'll aprreciate your thoughts on this.
    Thanks

    Thank you again. I did added parameters in Template viewer as you said. But got errror 'FO Formatting Error' while running form through template viewer. When I was searching for solution here on Forum I came to know that Oracle does not support Designer Forms. When will XML Publisher Support Adobe Designer 7 format?
    I have designed Fillable Template using Adobe designer 7.0. Is it possible to create one in RTF or any other methods? Can you show any pointer How to create this kind of form?
    Thanks.

  • Can Word 2010 populate fillable fields in a pdf fillable form?

    Is it possible to define fillable fields in a word 2010 document (name, address, city, state, zip, date) so that after a save to pdf and [Page] add existing file, an existing pdf fillable form will auto-populate same named fields in the added pdf fillable form?

    Thanks, George!  In the form I am creating, I ask respondents to identify a number of organizations that they work with.  For example, I ask "Please list up to ten organizations" and then I provide ten text boxes for organizations 1-10.  I then ask a series of follow up questions (radio buttons, check boxes, and rating scales) about each organization.  I would like to auto-populate the fields of those follow up questions with the names of the organizations that the respondents had written.  Does that make sense?  Will this require JavaScript?  My hope is to avoid complicated scripts that may give respondents technical problems with the form.  Thanks again,
    Andy

  • Create a fillable form that can be saved by others

    Hi, I'm working in Adobe Acrobat X Pro, I'm on a PC
    I know that you go to File>Save As...>Reader extended pdf>
    After that I get "Enable Adding Text in Documents (that are not fillable form)...
    I then get a form that is using a "typewriter" tool." That's not what I want.  I want a fillable form that can be saved by the person filling out the form and not have to use the typewriter tool.  I don't like the way that looks or works.  I hope there is someone that can help.  I used to be able to do this and don't understand what has changed.
    Thanks!

    Advanced > Enable Usage Rights in Adobe Reader
    Yes, it will allow pre-11 Reader users to save.

  • Help help...Making existing livecycle fillable form mobile(ios/android adobe reader) compitible

    Hello Everyone,
    I am new to livecycle  designer. I have a fillable pdf form(having almost all the field types, dynamic image uploads, and javascripts). I don't know if it is possible to have fillable form for mobile devices( for iPhone,ipad,Android).
    Does any one have idea how can I make my existing pdf form compatible with mobile devices??
    Thank you all,
    Jay

    Hi Jay Lakhani,
    You will not be able to use the form on mobile devices unless it is rendered in HTML format.
    If you want your XFA forms to run on mobile devices, you need to do the following:
    - Create a HTML render profile in CRX. A default profile comes with LC installation. Check this for more details on this (http://helpx.adobe.com/livecycle/help/mobile-forms/rendering-form-temp late.html)
    - Secondly, you need to have LC Mobile workspace application present on your mobile device. This app is available in respective app stores.
    This is what you need to render the forms in HTML on mobile devices.
    Additionally,
    This documentation (with snapshots) describes mobile workspace working (http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/livecycle/topics/mobile-ws-end- user.html)
    One youtube link on ES4 describing use of Mobile workspace (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPZTXfnsMpw)

  • Help with adding image onclick

    Hey everyone,
    I am making a simple game in AS3 and need help with adding an image once they have click on something.
    On the left of the screen are sentences and on the right an image of a form. When they click each sentence on the left, writing appears on the form. Its very simple. With this said, what I would like to do is once the user click one of the sentences on the left, I would like a checkmark image to appear over the sentence so they know they have already clicked on it.
    How would I go about adding this to my code?
    var fields:Array = new Array();
    one_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClick1a);
    one_btn.buttonMode = true;
    function onClick1a(event:MouseEvent):void
        fields.push(new one_form());
        fields[fields.length-1].x = 141;
        fields[fields.length-1].y = -85;
        this.addChild(fields[fields.length-1]);
        one_btn.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClick1a);
        one_btn.buttonMode = false;
        //gotoAndStop("one")
    two_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClick2a);
    two_btn.buttonMode = true;
    function onClick2a(event:MouseEvent):void
        fields.push(new two_form());
        fields[fields.length-1].x = 343.25;
        fields[fields.length-1].y = -85;
        this.addChild(fields[fields.length-1]);
        two_btn.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClick2a);
        two_btn.buttonMode = false;
        //gotoAndStop("two")

    I don't know where you're positioning the button that should enable/disable the checkbox but for "one_btn" let's just say it's at position: x=100, y=200. Say you'd want the checkbox to be to the left of it, so the checkbox would be displayed at: x=50, y=200. Also say you have a checkbox graphic in your library, exported for actionscript with the name "CheckBoxGraphic".
    Using your code with some sprinkles:
    // I'd turn this into a sprite but we'll use the default, MovieClip
    var _checkBox:MovieClip = new CheckBoxGraphic();
    // add to display list but hide
    _checkBox.visible = false;
    // just for optimization
    _checkBox.mouseEnabled = false;
    _checkBox.cacheAsBitmap = true;
    // adding it early so make sure the forms loaded don't overlap the
    // checkbox or it will cover it, otherwise swapping of depths is needed
    addChild(_checkBox);
    // I'll use a flag (a reference for this) to know what button is currently pushed
    var _currentButton:Object;
    one_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClick1a);
    one_btn.buttonMode = true;
    function onClick1a(event:MouseEvent):void
         // Check if this button is currently the pressed button
         if (_currentButton == one_btn)
              // disable checkbox, remove form
              _checkBox.visible = false;
              // form should be last added to fields array, remove
              removeChild(fields[fields.length - 1]);
              fields.pop();
              // clear any reference to this button
              _currentButton = null;
         else
              // enable checkbox
              _checkBox.visible = true;
              _checkBox.x = 50;
              _checkBox.y = 200;
              // add form
              fields.push(new one_form());
              fields[fields.length-1].x = 141;
              fields[fields.length-1].y = -85;
              this.addChild(fields[fields.length-1]);
              // save this button as last clicked
              _currentButton = one_btn;
         // not sure what this is
        //gotoAndStop("one")
    I'd also centralize all the click handlers into a single handler and use the buttons name to branch on what to do, but that's a different discussion. Just see if this makes sense to you.
    The jist is a graphic of a checkbox that is a MovieClip symbol in your library exported to actionscript with the class name CheckBoxGraphic() is created and added to the display list.
    I made a variable that points itself to the last clicked button, when the "on" state is desired. If I detect the last clicked button was this button, I remove the form I added and the checkbox. If the last clicked button is not this button, I enable and position the checkbox as well as add the form.
    What is left to do is handle the sitation where multiple buttons are on the screen. When a new button is pushed it should remove anything the previous button added. This code simply demonstrates clicking the same button multiple times to toggle it "on and off".

  • How do I disable security settings on PDF fillable form?

    The PDF fillable form was made in Word and saved as a PDF. I tried copying it then bringing into Acrobat Pro X to make it a fillable form. Saved with Enabled Features but when opened into Reader I get a security warning restricting adding text or placing a signature. I've tried changing setting and can't figure out what is wrong or even if it's possible it fix this.
    Does anyone know how to fix this?
    Kwiley

    It is "The security settings on this document prevent adding text and /or placing a signature on it from Adobe Reader. To fill and sign this document you need to print it out."  These forms need to be fillable because they change and then my client places her signature or her bosses signature on the page.  Is there another way to do this?
    Thanks,
    Kathy
