Adding Query in the Favorites

Hi All,
How can I add queries to favorites, so that it will execute in Analyzer not in the Web. I am able to add the queries in favorites but the are not executing in the Analyzer... Also I tried to create a role and add queries in that... Even that did not work...

Adding query to the view

Hi,
I'll appreciate your advice regarding the following:
I am using a View which consists of several UNION statements.
for example:
create or replace view VI_TEST
as
select name,lname from Test1
union all
select name,lname from Test2
The questions is: if I am getting a new table, Test3, and want to include it in VI_TEST view - do I have any option (using PL/SQL or other) to make this addition incrementally? (not doing "create or replace view" again but adding the query of Test3)

Adding Query in the Roles

Hi,
I am having arroung 40-50 roles defined based on the various authorization levels.
Whenever we make a new query and want to give access to these roles, we go and add the query manually in all the roles (RRMX -> Select the quey -> Add in Role) and give authorization of the query in PFCG.
Is there any way to give access of the the query to all the roles and setting the values for authorization object.

Ramesh,
I would assign all of the queries to one role and then assign that role to all of the users. You would then keep the other data driven authorizations separate in the original 40-50 roles and remove the queries. This is much easier to maintain. Hope this helps.

I synced my android and my desktop and adding a favorite on the desktop is syncing with android. In the other way i can't find the favorite on my desktop

From desktop to android is working perfectly. Then i added a favorite on the phone and i can not find the favorite on the desktop. I also clicked the sync button under settings on the phone to be sure that the phone is synced.
still can not find the favorite. On the phone i can find the favorite and a folder "Desktop-Favorites" it's translated so can look different in the english version.
Under Desktop-Favorites i can find all my stuff from the desktop.
Somebody has the same problem or i am blind or sync is just one way ?

Sync is both ways so there's something not working as intended. It could be that the computer hasn't synced yet, to confirm this, you can press the Sync Now button in the Firefox button (if you are in Mac it's under "Tools").
If after that it doesn't work, I will recommend you to check in the logs if there's something that is not being downloaded to your computer. How do I get to the Favorites bar after adding a show to favorites?

I have added numerous tv shows to my favorites but cannot find where the favorites area is on my apple tv.

When you add TV shows as favourites, a favourites option is added to the menu that goes across the top of the screen in the tv shows option.

The condition you are adding has caused the query to be invalid.

I select a column from the structure query: DATA_SET_ID [RDF_STATEMENT]
I enter a condition: = :P_RSTA_RDSE_ID. (This refers to a hidden field on the page. I have confirmed that the correct value is passed.)
I click on 'apply changes' and the page returns:
1 error has occurred
* The condition you are adding has caused the query to be invalid.
Previewing the condition gives: (("RDF_STATEMENT"."DATA_SET_ID" = :P_RSTA_RDSE_ID)) which looks fine.
I've tried a literal - (("RDF_STATEMENT"."DATA_SET_ID" = 1)) - and get the same error.
I've tried converting to an unstructured query and get 'no data found' where the same query in SQL+ returns the desired rows.

I have lost the capability with the new upgrade to add a contact to favorites....the "add to favorites" is gone. My contacts that I had added previously are still favorites...I just can not add a new one?????

With the newest upgrade, I no longer have the button "add to favorites" ???? So How do I add a contact to favorites...all the contacts previously added still have the little blue star next to the number...but I can not find how to add another contact to favorites.

Adding a query to the approval template

I'm trying to setup an approval template for AR Invoices based on a UDF.
Basically I want to add a query to the approval template that will trigger an approval request based on the following query
but i don't know how to set it properly.
trigger an approval when:
select * from OINV where u_ordertype = 'sub'

Adding an URL to the Favorites

Hi,
We have a web application for which there are 100's of users.
Most of them do not know how to add an URL to the Favorites in
the IE.Any ideas like creating a batch file and emailing it to
them so that it adds the URL to the favorites when they click

I just tried this in CS6 (which should be the same, I hope), and it works fine. Select the whole of a file, and start recording a new favourite. I selected Normalization, set it to -1dB, applied it, deselected the file, and stopped the favourite recording. Gave it a name, tried it on another file, and it's fine.
There is no editing of favourites, as such. If you don't like one you delete it and start again.
If yours didn't work, did you apply it before stopping the recording of it? If you don't do that, I think it will fail.

How to save navigations of Query into Portal favorites?

i executed a query in the portal. i made some changes by navigating, drag & drop options ( added new fields, displayed attributes, removed 1 field for example).
how to save this navigation into portal favorites? will it possible?
if i save my query into Federated portal favorites, user can able see those later. is that true?

Issue in adding Space to the existing Virtual Machine from added repository

Hi,
I'm facing issue in adding Space to the existing Virtual Machine (Guest OS) from added repository.
Environment details :
VM Server : /OVS => 130GB
/OVS/935970F2CC2D4B4391701397517F1001/ => 512 GB
Things I have done :
•     I created a VM (Guest OS) in the VM Server with 120 GB
•     After creating the VM (Guest OS) , When I tried adding a VIRTUAL DISK of size 150 GB , I got an error “Maximum available Disk space is only 10GB”.
My query :
•     Will I be able to add space to Existing VM from the added Repository ( /OVS/935970F2CC2D4B4391701397517F1001/ ) , whose system.img is stored in path /OVS/running_pool/34_rhel/ .
Kindly help me out in this.

Hi all,
I checked with Oracle on the above and got the info currently , the we can utilise only the space available in the existing repo and cannot extend to additional repo.
Work around is : Clone it to the other repo , or Use Symbolic link .

Newly added field in the data Source not getting populated

Hello All,
We have added few fields in the Data Source. The Data Source is based on the InfoSet. We have included the field in the Infoset and have updated the code to fetch the value for the newly added fields.
When we perform the test extraction for this Data Source in RSA3, the newly added fields are not getting populdated with the value. In the system generated query's selection list, the newly added fields are not selected.
Please let mw know how to get the newly added field selected in the system generated query of the infoset.

Hi,
As you said you have added the filed in Info Set. Have you included the same in data source? try if not.
If you are trying to create a query in source system to check the data. I guess in R/3 (ECC) then you have to include the new field in slection critera (ther is an option available on top menu).
I would suggest before creating any query go to RSO2 select the data source. Display the field structure and check if the filed is there or not. You maysee Infoset level data directly by data display from top menu. Try that optionas well to check.

Does the 'default where clause' query select the ROWID by default ?

The query in default where property of a data block is as follows:

The g.rowid was added in the UNIONALL portion of the query because the first part of the query was bringing rowid as well.
We are in 10.1.2.3.0 forms version.
However for a user in forms verion 10.1.2.0.2, the query is giving an error " Unable to perform query " - due to mismatch in the number of columns selected in the query union.
because for this user, rowid is not selected as part of default where clause query( 1st part of the query before the unionalll).
If g.rowid is removed from the 2nd part of the query , it errors out in 10.1.2.3.0 forms version.
Could you kindly clarify when this rowid will also be selected by the default where clause of a block and why this issue is occuring?Is this issue related to forms version or any other property of the block? Is it is version based, is there a patch available to deal with the same?

You normally change the default_where block property just when you want to chnage the filter conditions for what is selected from a given block data source.
Querries with union or minus will confuse forms as to the rowid and will no longer be albe to perform the default insert/update/delete, not knowing the rowid and the table to perform the dml on.
A from clause query will be the best way to change dynamically the tables you select from and also the where. But, by using that, if you wish to insert/update/delete, you will have to use on-insert/update/delete triggers where the processing will have to rely on some primary key columns and not on rowid.
Or, instead of a from-clause, you may use a view, but that will definitely be less flexible than a from clause query.

Problem while opening Bex query on the web

Hello BW experts,
I have a problem while opening Bex query from my SAP Favorites.See below.
When i double click on the query, i get the following page, with the server name KBWS01QX.
But, from RSRT Tcode, select the query > query display as HTML > Click on ABAP Web , click execute as shown below, it is going to the correct URL as in the 2nd screen shot below.
My question is why is it going to the wrong URL when i open it from SAP Favorites menu?
I want it to open the same URL as it opened from RSRT(which is the right one)
What is the Config needed to make it to work from SAP favorites.
Any help would be appreciated.

From RSRT, this time I clicked on JAVA WEB, and i get the below URL, which is the same URL i was getting when i executed the query from SAP favorites.

It seems that it is trying to connect to Java portal something services may be, but i want it to open in ABAP web only.

We are also having the same issue. We are in BI 7 SP 15.
Is there any way to find the relation between the Bookmark ID and Query name? The favorite link is not working and getting the above error message. We are also not able to identify the query related to this favorite / bookmark link. Is there any table to identify for query and Bookmark?
