Adjusting Automatically Generated Document Properties?

Background: I create documents with Word Perfect X4.  I then print to PDF using a printer called "Adobe PDF."  I also have a program installed on my computer called Adobe Distiller that I think may be involved. I've notice recently that my PDF files are being created with document properties stating the full path of the file as the "Title" and my windows login ID as the "Author."
Question: How do I adjust what document properties are automatically generated, or how do I adjust what they will say? I know I can edit the properties manually but this is inefficient.

Have you filled in the properties of WordPerfect X4 and Acrobat's Identity under the applications Preferences?
You might also set the properties of the created WordPerfect documents.
Have you tried using WordPerfect to publish directly to PDF?

  • Restriction on number of line items in an automatically generated document

    Hi all,
    As per my info, an accounting document must have a minimum of 2 line items to complete the document. At the same time an accounting document can have a maximum of 999 line items.
    My observation:-
    When I am posting depreciation using t-code AFAB, system is posting depreciation document (document type AF). While checking, I found that the system has posted around 16 document for a period.
    On further checking, I observed that the each document contains a max 100 line items.
    I am using SAP 4.7
    My Query:-
    a> Is there any way / place wherein we can restrict the maximum number of line items possible for a given docuemnt type or for all document types in the client?
    b> In case it is not possible to restrict the number of line items per document, what could be possible reason for the system behaviour wherein it is posting about 100 line items per document & thereafter starts a new document.

    I have been reading CIN. There I came across with a statement i.e. "There is restriction on no of line items to be in an Excise Invoice".
    where you read this i dont know
    but yes for outgoing excise invoice we can put limitation in sap cin
    as per incoming excise invoice i think no  limitation
    in path SPRO-tax on goods movemnet-India-basic setting-maintain excise registration here you can maintain this
    and yes this for india only for other country they may have different

  • Error while accessing documents in document tab in Generate document proper

    Hi Experts,
    I am facing issue while generating document properties.
    I am doing this is qualification for one infoobject and I am getting error as " Operation SDOK_M_ATTR_CREATE could not be carried out for". In development this is fine but in qualification it is in error.
    I tried RSRV for this infoobject and it is consistent.
    Could you please let me know how to solve this issue.

  • F.13 automatic clearing question and F-03 generate document question

    Hi Experts,
    I have two questions below.
    1. What's difference between F.13 and F-03?
        Due to when I use F.13 to automatic clearing GL account, we found out that the system generates docuemnt has content.
    (use Fb03, check the document number and found out the Dr and Cr account)
    But when I use F-03 to manual clearing GL account, but we found out the system generate  document has not any content.
    (Use FB03 to check the document number, but I cannot found out the Dr and Cr account)
    2.I intend to use F.13 to automatice clearing one GL account. My question is that whether the system could use FIFO to automatice clear document under matching condition.

    Criteria 2 : GSBER (Business Area)
    Criteria : VBUND (Trading Partner)
    I had to set up the above criteria.

  • Acrobat X - Automate document properties and thumbnails

    I have 2400 files (180,000 pages) of declassified military records I am converting to PDF using Print To PDF. The original data is read from a proprietory browser created by the Marine Corps 15 years ago and Print to PDF is the only way to access the data.
    1. Currently, I open the new PDF created, CTRL D to Document Properties, then have to enter Navigation Tab > Pages Panel and Page and Magnifaction > Fit Height on each record set.
    2. Then i go to Description and add a Description from a database I have live on my website in Coldfusion and Access.
    3. I then save the file and close Acrobat X and then repeat the Print To PDF.
    Questions to start.
    A. Are there settings or Plugins that would allow each of the PDF's created using Print To PDF to automatically have the Navigation and Magnification settings already set?
    B. Is there any way to inject the Description into the new PDF or must this always be added manually?
    C. Is there any way to automate the Fast Web View function as part of the above process?

    You didn't mention which version of Acrobat you're using, which is critical to the answers to these questions.
    If you have Acrobat Pro, then you can do A and C in a batch process (aka Action).
    B can be achieved using a custom-made script. If you have version 9 or earlier a directly link to the DB can be created and the data copied from it to the script's metadata. If you have Acrobat X this can also be done, but would require export the information from the DB to a file, reading that file with a script in Acrobat and then using it to populate the metadate fields. Again, if you have Acrobat Pro this could be done in a batch process. Otherwise, you'll have to do each file at a time.

    What I do [here, using InDesign CS4]:
    I don't directly close the doc. I only play, e.g. here : Cmd-F7 (OSX).
    Process: the doc. is saved [1] ; export to pdf [2-3-4] ; the doc. is closed [5]

  • Metadata properties - automatically set KM document properties

    I'm trying to set custom properties based on other custom properties.  I understand how the dependOn works for the "Allowed Values" and "Additional Metadata", but it does not quite cover my needs.
    Say I select one value from a dropdown list - I want the next property to be set to a fixed value the user can not edit.  This second property should be updated if another value is selected from the dropdown list.  There is not a 1-to-1 reference between the two properties, more of a n-to-1.
    Would the easiest thing be to write a service that would update the document properties?
    Hope someone understands my needs, and has the answer to them.

  • Automatic Posting Document not display

    Hi Experts,
    We assign automatic posting document for IUE,
    When executing IUE it shows Document, again we are going to check the document it displays the below message:
    ERROR : Document header char. Movement Type has an ambiguous value in template document.
    I checked in SDN Message No: 7561022 and also OSS Notes: 1247685, according to notes point 1, the fields are appearing for document type which having properties like posting level - Adjusted Reported data, posting - Manual Posting.  But where are posting level - two side elimination, posting - Automatic, those fields are not appering
    Please suggest any information to overcome from this problem

    XSL stands for EXtensible Stylesheet Language, and is a style sheet language for XML documents. .xsl is the extension of the XSL file.Thank you, I am aware of all that.
    When we design any format by using drag & drop utility, System has to generate the .xsl file (extensible stylesheet for the xml document).Why? To accomplish what?
    And then .xsl file is used to display the data which is stored in xml document on the webpage with designed format.So you need to define the mapping between XML and HTML? and you're hoping to do that automatically?
    That's a job for a user interface designer. Not a tool.
    In brief we need to write a parson

    which will take any designed format and generate the .xsl file for that design, to display the data which is stored in XML document.Doesn't make sense. It would make more sense if you started from a schema. Starting from an actual XML document, i.e. an instance of the schema, no, not even slightly.

    I'm trying to create a PDF fillable form with Acrobat X Pro.
    Can Acrobat allow a function, so that it can automatically generate a 'number'/'code' which I could use as an 'identifier'?
    eg.  A hidden field named:  'DOC ID' and provide 100001 when added to response file as it's submitted and '100002' to another file when it another is submitted/added onto the response file etc...
    I am aware that Response files, if submitted correctly, could automatically generate numbers like 001, 002 etc...
    But I'd like to see if I could create a field, that 'numbers' the document for me automatically and uniquely.
    Any help and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

    You can achieve this either by:
    1) using JavaScript onchange-events on forename and surname items, or

    It's great to be able to save my PDF settings as an export preset in InDesign, but inevitably, I still have to open my PDF in Acrobat and adjust the initial view in document properties.   • MIRO - Automatically generated expense line items

    Dear CO gurus, we are planning to use W/Tax tax posting with MIRO, where the credit gets posted to a B/S Account but the debit gets posted to an expense account (requiring a cost object). These are automatically generated posting based on the W/Tax configuration. I can use OKB9 to direct the postings to one single cost object per company code but it doesn't help. We want the cost object (whether cost center or order or wbs element) from the GR/IR account, which has the correct cost object, to be populated to this automatically generated expense posting.
    We appreciate if you can help us with any User-Exit or any other way, this can be accomplished. We are on ECC 5.00 and are using document splitting.

    I generated a pdf file using Adobe FrameMaker 11. After the pdf is generated, the title field in the Document Properties window (File > Properties) displays as "Untitled" instead of the original file name. How do i retain the same title name as the file name?

    To show the the title or the file name, you need to tell Acrobat what you want to show:
    So:
    In Acrobat, click File > Properties.
    In the Document Properties window, select the Initial View tab.
    Click on the Show list box, and select Document Title.
    Click OK to close the Document Properties window.
    Save the file.
    Note: you can review/set the file title in the Description tab

    While perusing the options of Adobe Acrobat at work I had the good fortune of finding the TouchUp Text Tool. Now I am trying find a relatively simple solution in order prevent third parties from using this same tool to easily modify pdfs we create from Mac Word 2011. My research has come up with applying a password/certificate/security policy but I have been unable to figure out how to apply one of these solutions automatically to all newly generated documents.
    Is there a way to automatically apply a password/certificate/security policy on every pdf that is converted from Word 2011? Preferably one that does not involve additional investment in software. Or another similar work around.

    Please try to re print the document using Adobe PDF printer and make sure you embed the fonts during the conversion to new file.
    Can you also upload few sample files for further investigation ?

    In case of automatic postings at IU elimination how to configure document type in order to allow different subassignments like segments.
    This sub assignments field in case of automatic posting documents allowing at header level and at the time of posting system allowing to post documents with different sub assignemnts at document but when you go and see individual docuement, system is not displaying that document and throughing error message.
    Can any one advice.

    The subassignments are not changeable for automatic IU documents as the values are the same as those of the source records.
    One option is to post manual adjusting entries to change the IU elimination subassignments.
    Another option is to create a reclassification method/task to automatically change the subassignments for the IU eliminations.
