Adobe Audition 3.0 Setup - Serial Number Issues

I'm trying to resolve an issue with the Adobe Audition 3.0 Setup. I tried the Chat Support a few times, and they requested me to submit the problem to the forum for Professional Assistance. The issue is that the Setup window asks me for the serial number, and I tried my own serial number, and also the serial number provided in the download site (as the representative suggested) but they don't work. So if I can't finish the setup, I'm not able to perform the installation.

You need to download both the software and the serial number from the download site. You cannot use that serial number with your own version of AA3. It only works with the downloaded version.

not sure if I should split these two questions...
1 - Invalid Serial Number issue
I'm helping out a friend with their large photo collection and they bought Lightroom 5 and received the serial number but when we add this to Lightroom it states that it's invalid - I tried leaving it until the following week (I visit them weekly) and it still refusing the number - when I went into their Adobe account and took a look at downloads the option to download the full version is greyed out (or an x - I'm not sat on their computer right now so can't double check) but it wouldn't allow me to do anything so we just had the trial version.
anyone know what the issue is - shall I get them to contact Adobe to get them to take a look - I also had issues trying to find a customer support email address lol. (I seem to faffing with lots of websites/software/companies this week so getting a little frazzled!)
2 - Lightroom 5 Trial vs full version folder hierarchy question
This question is linked to the above i- I am wondering if the folders in Lightroom are different in the trial version vs the fully paid version.
I had set up some greeting card templates and contact sheet layouts for my friend and tried to transfer them to her computer but whilst, LR 'sees' the folders it just doesn't acknowledge the templates - I tried it several ways but I've not had that issue before so will that sort itself when I get the serial number fixed?

Hi Lenny, the two questions may be related but the trial is actually the same as the full version. I would suggest getting the serial number issue sorted out first. There have been known issues where a paid for product still shows up as a trial.There is not a lot the community can do. You need to contact Adobe directly using the link below. Use the dropdown menu for boxes (1) & (2) to scroll down the list and choose:
1. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom
2. Serial number issues or activating my product
3. Click on the blue button: Still need help? Contact us – then click the button marked “chat now”

CS4 Extended Serial Number issue

while registering CS4 Extended I have a problem. As Upgrade Version only CS3 Extended is shown, not my valid CS3.
Any ideas?

I am doing through PO...we don't have inbound delivery process ... so i do MIGO with reference to PO
We have equipment master IE01/2.. plant is assigned after MIGO reeving plant is getting updated in the equipment master but the serial number status is not getting changed to AVLB.... also the serial number profile is with MMSL procedure.

I purchased PS10 and somehow activated the trial version while entering the serial number, the trial version expired and now it will not accept the orginal number.

Material Serial Number Issue.
Its better to explain with the example.
Material Number : ABCD with serial number as 123456
There is a reservation for the Material ABCD from work order, now the warehouse person Goods Issues for the reservation ABCD with serial number 06-123456.(he issued wrong serial number)
Correction action - Reverse Goods Issue for serial number 06-123456, now Goods issue for correct number as 123456. But the systems doesnot allows the serial number, error Material ABCD 123456 is already installed. Thenin IQ09 the material ABCD with SNO 123456 is INSTL Status.
Now question.
1. In 1st place how system allows the Goods issue for particular reservation with different serial number?
2. Without issuing the serial number 123456, how the status changed to INSTL???
3. How to solve this problem, need to change the stauts of Material 123456 as ESTO, then i can do goods issue,. how to change the status??

Hi,
Ask the workcentre to give that materail with 202 or 262 mvt to you. Now with the new reservation issue the required serial number material to site.
System does not have the serial number in reservation slip.Manually u are assigning it diuring the MIGO.

Could you please let me know what error prompts on your screen when you are trying to enter the serial number.
Have you bought subscription for Acrobat, if yes then you might need to sign in at "adobe.com" using your Adobe ID credentials to activate subscription.

I presume it is a mac serial number, because i have only ever used it on iMacs. I have transferred the software to several different Mac's over the past 7 or 8 years, but this is the first time I have not had the serial number recognised. The serial number is on the back of the box, which contains 3 CD's for Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Standard.

Make sure you have 24 digits serial. also let me know if you have installed the product from creative cloud app, if it is installed through creative cloud app you will get invalid serial number error

Audition CS6 requires a Serial number entry at every startup

Audition CS6 requires a serial number entry everytime I start the program. How do I fix this.? It is very annoying and If I get locked out of the program before I fix the dance recital music Its not going to go well for me here.

You don't say whether you are on Windows or not, but if so you might try running the program once as an Administrator. Once the serial has been accepted, then try running as a regular user.

Old Adobe product - serial number issues

Hi,
We have Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional installed on 3 old XP Pro based PCs. The software on these aging PCs needs to me migrated to new hardware. Unfortunately, due to the age of the software on the PC, a particular 3rd party product _only_ supports version 7, so we can't upgrade to a newer version of Adobe software.
I've tried to re-activate the software via the automated telephone system, but it rejectes the activation saying that the Serial Number is invalid. I've also discussed this via chat with a support agent - they too say the Serial Numbers are invalid.
Due to staff leaving and builidng moves, the original paperwork and CDROMs cannot be found. So I have no idea if the Serial Numbers reported by the applications match those on the CDs, and I cannot provide proof of purchase - I don't know where the software was purchased from as I can't find the purchase order.
So, I'm stuck. Adobe say that there is nothing they can do and I can't progress the migration due to the software licensing issue. I've asked Adobe if it is possible to buy licenses for old versions of software - they say no.
Any ideas?

The situation has changed slightly, and in fact I now need to build 3 complete new systems (rather than migrating and re-installing the existing systems). Therefore I will require 3 new copies of this software. However, I can't buy it. So, is it possible to buy a currently supported Adobe product (CS6 ?) and "downgrade" the license and obtain new serial numbers for the old product from Adobe? I now have a copy of the installation media, so all I need is 3 new Serial Numbers and be able to activate them.

See below my first 'ANGRY' support message I sent and their replies - actually this offer tipped me to buy this laptop instead of another one and I did contact SONY several times and they pretended not to understand and in their website is stated and listed as 'included programs'.
It is a trick to make customers buy their product? Sometime ago offers were 'real' offers.
IS THIS EVEN LEGAL ? A purchase is a contacrt the buyer/the sellers and its suppliers (Adobe!)
Next time, it will be a Toshiba (again!) - it has lasted me 5 years or had labour and it still is going - it stillis working and on Linux this time!

2. I wish to install Linux on this computer, but I cannot install PSE7 and Adobe Premiere E 7 without a licence!
Which should have been part of my purchase.
I feel I have been robbed.
As soon as you run it, your programs connects and show us the 'called option' to purchase upgrade to version 8 - are you trying to make us pay twice for the same programs?
What is the solution here? I spent hunfdreds of £££ during the years 'macromedia too to get treated like this?
