Adobe Standard upgrade to Adobe Pro

Currently I have Adobe Standard on my computer and have purchased an upgrade to Adobe Pro - do I need to uninstall Adobe Standard before installing Adobe Pro or do I just install it over the current version?
Thank you for your help,
Mlux

This forum is about Reader, not Acrobat...
But to answer your question, just install it. It will remove the previous version by itself.

  • I need help re Adobe Pro 9 and Adobe Xi Standard

I recently bought a Fujitsu Scan Snap for my home office.  I installed the Scan snap with no issues.  Unfortunately, there are no real instruction with regard to the software end of the installation process.  The scanner came with additional software (Adobe XI standard).  I loaded it too.  Pro to loading XI, I had Adobe Pro 9 that I used religiously.  I am freelance paralegal and need the ability to bates label documents and manipulate pdfs.  I went back and uninstalled XI and that did not work either.  I went on a forum and got feedback that when I installed XI it deleted 9 Pro.  There was nothing that told me that my Pro 9 would be deleted when I installed the Xi standard.  At this point I am screwed because I no longer have my 9 Pro disks to reinstall it.    What are my options to get the capabilities I need?  I would prefer to have my old Pro 9 back as I know how to use it efficiiently.   Can you still purchase 9 pro?  I am clueless because someone else set my computer up a long time ago and I do not have any of the software to reload.  Another questions, if I cannot purchase 9 Pro, can I upgrade fron XI standard to XI pro and will it have the bates labeling feature?

Did you ever register Acrobat 9? If so, then you should be able to find your serial number for it under your account here on adobe.com ...
Getting the installer for Acrobat 9 is trickier, though. Adobe doesn't sell it anymore, but you might still be able to get it from them.
You should be able to purchase an upgrade from XI Standard to XI Pro, yes. This can be done via Products - Acrobat on adobe.com.

  • Upgrade to adobe pro DC, Adobe ID used, gets responce that its been used before

we are upgrading to adobe pro DC, from version 9 pro, and when trying to use the same adobe ID it says the ID was used to activate two other, and is blocking me from using it. is there a limit to how many and ID can be used on. I’m trying to avoid everyone having their own ID's .
I would like to get to the point of creating a package but first need to get the ID issue straightened out.
    thanks

I was doing some research on this. Only Acrobat X and XI qualify for an upgrade. Not Acrobat 9 Pro.
If you own Acrobat Pro X or XI – or Acrobat Standard X or XI – you also qualify for a reduced price when purchasing a perpetual (one-time) license.

  • Signature field NOT working since upgrade to Adobe Pro X

    Hi Forum,
Form stop working since upgraded to Pro X (ver 10) in Adobe.  Getting this message:
    IntegriSign
This plug-in is intended for validating signatuers signed using earlier versions of Acrobat.  To sign using this version of Acrobat use "IntegriSign to Acrobat 9.0 and later" handler
I have changed settings in Adobe Pro X to the above but still get the same message.
Do anyone know how to fix this?
    Thanks,
    Patricia

  • Upgrading to Acrobat Pro XI / Adobe Reader XI and enabling user rights

My company is a little behind on software updates and I'm going to ask for Adobe Reader XI  to pushed out company wide since allows the user to save a filled-in PDF form.
Right now I'm using Acrobat Pro X, and suspect I will need to upgrade as well.
    My questions are:
With the new-found ability of Reader to finally be able to save a filled in form, how does this effect the "enabling user rights" scenario?
Is it needed if the entire company is using Adobe Reader XI?
I did a test in Adobe Reader XI, and sure enough, I was able to save a filled-in form...BUT, I could not digitally sign the form.
Is this where the enabling user rights is still mandatory?
Or is this because the form was designed in Acrobat Pro X?
Does Acrobat Pro XI work around this?
I know I don't need to upgrade to Acrobat Pro XI to continue making forms, but should I?
Thanks for your feed back, and I look forward to reading your replies

Thank you, George, for the prompt reply!
I suspected as much, but couldn't find a clear cut answer in my searches.
The tab order update alone has convinced me its worth pushing for the new Acrobat Pro XI.
The update to Adobe Reader XI will make many of our forms easier to get into the digital workflow, and I'm looking forward to getting use further away from a paper-based system

  • Created an Adobe Pro account but now being asked to upgrade

Created a new Adobe Pro account to use FormsCentral mainly but today we started getting the following message in emails when forms have been responded to.
The quota for free usage is 50 responses for the form.
Upgrade to receive up to 5000 responses.
Now in FormsCentral I am getting the "Ready for your next form? Get more forms and view more responses with a paid subscription".
The MyPlan page shows "Your current plan is Acrobat Pro subscription (one year)".
Rather annoying as we cannot create any more forms at our busiest time of the year.
Support is apparently looking into it.  But with a wait time of 48 hours ....

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit (6.1. Build 7601)
    Web Browser IE9 version 9.0.8112.16421
The currently installed flash player version is 11.5, even though I am constantly being told I need to upgrade to it. There are some pages that ask four and five times as any advertisement using flash triggers this alert, so if a page has 5 ads, I get the message that Adobe wants to make changes to my system 5 times.

Can I install Adobe Pro XI on a machine with Adobe Standard XI?@

assuming you mean acrobat pro and standard, that may work, but it may not.
more importantly, why would you leave acrobat standard on a computer that has acrobat pro?
you should uninstall standard, clean (if you're using a win computer - Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs) and then install pro

I was online earlier this week and liked the forms with submit buttons and the Adobe site directed me to upgrade to Adobe PRO XI in order to use forms so I bought five licenses. Just had it installed today and it is now asking me to sign up for forms Central in order to use this feature. What gives? The Adobe site gave me the impression that I would have this feature after purchasing the new upgrade. I would not have purchased the upgrade, let alone five of them had I know this. Am I missing something?

Acrobat XI comes with the Fromscentral AIR application and the ability to create PDF forms authored in Formscentral. To have more than the free (1 form with 50 responses) level account you need to sign up for a Formscentral subscription.

  • Upgrading from Adobe Pro 8 to XI

While upgrading from Adobe Pro 8 to XI it asks if I want to "Deactivate EPIC_APP_118".  What is it and should I?

Looking through the forums, it appears that error message is related to a Zenworks Licensing Manager System. If you are installing in a enterprise environment, you might want to check with your IT people before you mess with uninstalling and installing new software.

  • Upgrading to Adobe Pro DC

I upgraded my Mac to Yosemite last week.  Now I can't open Adobe Pro.  I pay 19.95/month for a subscription service for the Creative Cloud.  Can't figure out how to download Adobe Pro DC without additional expense; however, it says it's a free download.
