Adobe Updates write over changes made to registry "cDefaultExecMenuItems"

Question

I support old proprietary software written for Acrobat 6.0 that uses custom Acrobat form menus. To activate the menus under Acrobat 9 it was necessary to add the menu handles to the Windows registry [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\9.0\FeatureLockDown\cDefaultExecMenuItems] "tWhiteList"=  I could not find information that provided a different solution to this problem.
Now when Adobe sends out an update or patch, this registry key value gets reset back to the original settings thus removing my custom menu handles.
Questions:
1. Adobe, why is the update software resetting the values of this registry key?
2. Is there a better method to activate menus without updating the registry key?

Hi Trey,
I understand what I was doing wrong in terms of the simulate signal now.  But I am still having troubles with my spreadsheet updating all of the columns at the same time.  I thought initially that this was a problem with my analog inputs having a different delta x... so I started another thread regarding that topic (Delta X in spreadsheet in terms of seconds instead of samples).  I was wondering if you might be able to take a look at my newest VI and a copy of one of my spreadsheets to see if you might know what the problem is.
