i need purchase order wise advance payment can u tell me what are the config steps in sap please explain briefly
Hi,
Check the field status group of the Reconciliation account of your vendor and the field status of posting key 39 and make sure that PURCHASE ORDER is not suppressed.
Field status group of the recon account can be checked at FS00 (3rd tab). Double click on it and it will take you to the status screen.
The posting key field statuses can be checked at OB41.

If there is any adavance payment against vendor and when you do any transaction system will give information massage. then
you can handle through massage controlle as you required. (some technical changes required and ABAPer will help you in this regard)

Third-Party Payments & Purchase Orders
I wanted to inquire into any suggestions that anyone might have for recording third-party payments in Oracle Payables. What my company is looking to do is create purchase orders for the transactions of goods or services with a vendor (ie- ABC Company) and then record the corresponding payments to our bank (ie- XYZ Bank) instead. We will be initiating a new corporate credit card program and will be looking to pay various Payables invoices (that may or may not have purchase orders associated with them) with the new credit card program. Our Oracle version 11.5 does not support the third-party payments. Whatever vendor is selected for the purchase order is the vendor that would receive payment.
Does anyone know of any options or workarounds that we could use within Oracle to record the purchase order and payments to separate vendors in version 11.5? I know that version 12.1 has this functionality, but my company is not looking to upgrade at this point in time.

Boy, this is unusual. I would recommend opening a service request with Oracle support and see what they say. There is a credit card/procurement card process in EBS 11, but it is more of a workflow type of thing. Would not be tied in to purchase orders. That is the hard part. And to get a credit card invoice where some stuff is for matching to POs and some is for non-PO stuff. You might be better off making a PO a requirement for everything. Otherwise you might have a mess on your hands. Or you could revise your process to use the Oracle workflow process and require the appropriate approvals for paying the credit card bill items. That basically takes care of what purchase orders are doing for you, in requiring some kind of approval process. Something to think about.

Purchase order updation without QM module
Hi Guru
We are currently using Active ingredient functionality for our product.
Ideal scenario is,when we do GR of purchase order ,system will generate inspection lot & value of char (Ingredients) will be updated by posting the GR.
Simultaneously,system will update the PO histry by T-code MWBQ.
My question is how can we update the Purchase order histry without activating QM module or without generating Inspection lot.

Balkrishnathe purchase order history is updated if you do follow on functions with reference to the PO, e.g. a goods receipt and an invoice receipt, or a delivery in case of a STO.

I have a question. exist in ECC/SUS version 5.0
Suppose there is a company that has several subsidiaries in charge but they have different number of provider. you create a new Purchase. but the client want the subsidiaries can made the Purchase Order response only the provider whit function PM on ECC
exist some like this in SRM.

Purchase Order from ECC to SUS is sent based on the vendor. Hence only this vendor's contact person can see this PO in SUS.
There is no information of PM maintained in the SUS when vendor is replicated to SUS from ECC.
This is what I understood from you query or you can put some more light to your query.

Purchase order advance payment
Hi Friends,
Below is five requirement from my client regarding down payment and down payment request.
A) While posting down payment or down payment request Purchase order should require entry.
B) System should allowed to put purchase order for the same vendor against we posting advance payment or raising payment request.
C) If 100% advance has already paid against any purchase order, system should not allow to post any further advance against that purchase order.
D) If the 100% GRN has been done against any purchase order system should not allow to post any further advance against that purchaser order.
E) While paying advance system should consider the GRN or advance payment done against the purchase order, and system should allow the pay advance or raise the advance request less the value of advance or GRN value already done.

The 1 and 2 are possible using field status groups. You can make the PO mandatory
The rest are not possible in standard system.
but system will propose while posting down payment r down payment request amount more than PO value warning message has accrued but it will never stop for posting ok
one more solution is with the help of ABAPer we can able to stop - Use Substitution,
Mr. Ajay below mentioned Option for EHP4 is also available for in this ME2DP also never stop - more than PO value down payment r down payment request
Its a matter of discipline... however, explore the new feature of PO advance payment in EHP4, Tcode ME2DP. May be you get few answers there

i raise one po in me21n after that i post advance payment document through based on the purchase order number & in f-48 their is field purchase order number and item numer i had already given what i post the purchase order number and item number after that again i went to me22n display purchase order the advance amount is not updated field in status tab can u please provide the answer

There is no way in the system to restrict the payment amount to 50%once, it is mentioned in the payment terms as 50% advance. System does not have control tocheck and avoid the full payment

Our Client's requirement is as follows u2013
Advance payment against Purchase order/Work Order:
1. Advance should be PO/WO wise & not item wise.
2. Advance should not exceed total PO/WO value.
3. Advance against PO should include taxes & conditions maintained in PO/WO
When I put the purchase order number along with the item number, it is taking into account the basic price for that specific item. This amount is excluding Tax.
Actually the advance is given against the Purchase Order. So whether it is possible to
1. Remove the mandatory filed of Item number against the PO?
2. Whether the amount of the advance should be inclusive of the Tax?

If taxes are recoverable in nature, system only consider material value as base value.
if taxes are nonrecoverable, its included in material value so your base value becomes material value + taxes.
thats why in your case base value becomes material value its not included the tax amount. this is the standard process.

Purchase order to payment cycle report
Dear Sir/Madam
We want to have a report on the purchase order to payment cycle.
this includes the following points:
1. Purchase Requisition is raised in the system
2. PO is raised with various line items
3. Advance payment is done against the PO
4. GRN is made for goods delivered
5. Invoice is processed against each GRN
6. Retention is deducted to be paid in future
7. Liquidated damages (LD) is deducted which is treated as miscellaneous income in companys books
8. Payment is made to the vendor
We require the report in such a way which will give the details of each payment against each GRN line item. tracking of the same should be possible.
Do we have any standard report which will help in identifying the purchase order to payment cycle.

It is always a requiremnet to have a report from PO, GR, IV to payment.
But unfortunately, SAP do not have such a report, we develop one locally, the difficult is at payment side.
Several invoices for one vendor has only one payment doc, how to display it need to discuss with end user. -

Payment Term default to Purchase Order
Dear SAP guru,
We have problem that payment term is not defaulted to Purchase Order if the Purchase Order is converted from Purchase Requisition.
If purchase order is directly created in ME21N, the payment term will be defaulted from vendor master. However we have purchase requisition that is released/converted to purchase order, these POs willl not copy over the paymetn term from vendor master.
Can any one share how to make the PO always default payment term from vendor master eventhough it is converted from purchase requisition?

Thanks for your quick reply. No, the PR is not referenced to contract. The PR is for external process, therefore the flows is asa follow:
1. Production order creation; for external process system automatically create purchase requisition.
2. Purchase requisition will have vendor code defaulted from production order routing. In the routing for external process you can define the vendor code.
3. Convert the purchase requisition into purchase order.
The problem the purchase order will not have payment term default from vendor master.

One of my user made down payment to vendor on the base of Purchase order issued, now the vendor is not able to supply the goods & finally (Returned) refunded the amount & canceled the PO
How can i process this in SAP
As in Purchase order, history for Down payment is reflected. Transaction code ME23n
Finance don't want to reveres the down payment made which is made in the month of Jan & cleared from bank a/c
Pleas advice some me with some other solution

Clear the advance payment made with the incoming payment from Vendor. this wil make the down payment at PO level Zero you can close the PO after that..
try out the same in test system and move to production after that.
