After capacity leveling  dependent requirement s to be adjusted

hi
iam planning a fert product on 30 th agust for 100nos
created md61 -pir for 100 nos
done mrp run at mdo2 and got scheduled dates for 100nos which has gone beyond the requirement date as i was chhosed leed time scheduling  and made dependent reqirement proposal for the order operation date.
here the important thing is the work center which i nedd to produce was fully engaged inthe period (schedule period which system proposed)  .hence i made capacity leveling and planned order dates were changed again
which are actual producion dates
after capacity leveling my planned order was firmed
my problem here is  the dependent requirement proposal date also
need to be changed with respect to firmed planed order.
how to achive this
i tried with opu5
but no changes in dependent reuirement proposal (planned order)
plz suggest

hi
i tried it but unfortunatly it is creating a new planned order and giving exemption messge to the firmed planned oder as cancel the proposal
which is not at all acceptable
  means for a single PIR
i made mrp run AND got planned order , after leveling the planned order was firmed
means my pir was satisfied with this
i made mrp run without changing PIR dates and quantity by expecting that it should propose a new dependent reqirement
but system created a new planed order to  pir date which sholud not happen.
plz elobrate your view

  • Capacity Leveling of Work Center

    Hi all,
I have a problem with Capacity of Work center (WC).
I have a Internal Activity, and i assigned a WC for this Internal Activity. WC's capacity is 100H/day for 1 number of element.
Work of this WC is 250H, duration 5 days, number of element 1. Default capacity of this WC is distributed by Distribution Key define in Activity. . And they are divided equally between factory days in 5 day. That is capacity requirement is 50H/Day
So, i want to edit this WC's capacity following value:
    Day 1: 100H/day
    Day 2: 50H/day
    day 3: 0H/day
    day 4: 0H/day
    day 5: 100H/day
How can i do it?? I try to use Dispatch Manually but i cant solve this problem.
Please help me for this case.
    Thank all.

    Dear
Capacity leveling depends on some of the basic set up of Capacity Requirement Planning .You need to have proper CRP set up frist .
Couple of check points : -
Did you work centre is relevent for finitie scheduling in CR02-Capacity Header and wht is the over laod percentage for work centre ?
Did you have Capacity Requirement Related Set up like Over all profile , time profile , Startegy Profile -OPD0?
Did your Capacity Check -OPJK -Order Control at order level are active for availibilty Check 1 and 2 and assinged Over all Profile ?
    Set up :
1.Please assing a operation control key like PP01 where Details Capacity Check and scheduling is active .
2.In CR02-Work centre -Capacity Header -You should have Follow check box marked
    1.Releven for Finitie Scheduleing
2.Can be used for multiple Operation
    3.
3.OPU3/OPU5 -Define Scheduling paramter -Mark Scheduling and Capcity Check for planned order or production Order
4.In SPRO -Shop Floor Control-Define Production Scheduling Profile -You need to matian the relevent Parameters like
1.Schedueling Automatically 2.Scheduling Log 3.Adjust Scheduling -Basic date , Depedent Requirement date 4.Scheduling Type -Backward etc .
These are all basic level set up beside CRP overall profile and other profile like strategy /time etc which may in place as you are analysing in CM01.
Please find below some of the useful CRP details : Refer this threads which are self explaintory :

How to dispatch operation to do Capacity Leveling at Work Centre Level :
1.Frist Check the  over load at work centre . Goto -CM07/CM05-give plant only -then hit the Stnadard view -You will find weekly or daily baiss load ( Requirement , Avaliable Capcity , Overlaod etc )
2.Check the week in which days you are tring to dipatch -if you selet the week check box and double clik it will show u all the dataiul load .Basde on the available capacity in other week-days u need to dipatch in CM22/CM31  or CM25/CM21
While dipatching in CM22/CM31-Select the Stragegy button on the top header -Mark Date entry when dispatching  so that when you select the operation of any production order or planned order for certain work centre , it will pop with window having information of Date , Work Centre , Time .Onec you did this you will receive Scheduling log with certain information .
    Hope this helps

  • How to do capacity levelling

    Dear Frndz,
Pls help me how to do capacity levelling.....
    Scenario:
I have created two production orders for the same finish date as a result the work center is overloaded. Now I want to do capacity levelling.Tell me the step by step procedure to do capacity levelling, so that the capacity problem is solved.
    Regards,
    Srini.

    HI,
    Capacity leveling after order creation
This process covers capacity leveling of requirements from the production process, monitoring the capacity after different periods, and how the system determines the new values for the current order after changes are made to the quantities, times, and dates.
    1) T Code CM21
    2) Enter the field Plant & work Center
    3) Choose Enter.
The current orders whose operations result in capacity loads at the selected work center are displayed. By scrolling through the different charts in the planning table, you can analyze the information provided.
4)For a better view, choose Settings ® Scale ® Monthly period split.
    5) To automatically dispatch one or several operations of an order, click the red rectangle in the order's diagram section to select the order and choose .
The order disappears from the order pool and reserves a time segment in the work center section.
    6) To manually dispatch one or more operations of an order, select the order in the diagram section, drag it to the work center section with the mouse, and place it in a time period that you select.
    7) To deallocate an order, select it in the work center's diagram section and choose .
The order is again displayed in the order pool.
    8) To analyze the changes made in scheduling, select an order in the order's diagram section and choose Order.
    9) Choose Item and write down the start and finish dates of the operation you selected.
    10) Choose Enter until the Planning Table: SAPSFCG001 Finite Scheduling Forw./All Functs.Active screen appears.
    11) Drag the order to a valid section in the work center's diagram section. Make sure that you move the order to a valid and defined start and finish date.
    13) Select the order in the work center's diagram section and choose Order.
    14) Choose Item and compare the new start and finish date.
    15) Choose Enter until the overview tree appears.

  • Dont want dependent requirement after MRP

    hi all
I dont want dependent requirement after MRP?
means A is a header material and B.C are the component
after MRP run system should be created requirement of component item.
    so wht r setting  required?
    plz guide me

    Hi,
First you ask how can you carry out settings not to get DepReq for your components than you say system should create requirements for your components.
Please give a clearer picture of your situation and make your question more clearer.
How do you procure your goods (if you do not use MRP)?
If you do not want DepReq for your goods you can:
    - remove them from the BOM (use them as text item, use design BOM - I do not know your situatio)
    - you can set the MRP type in material master as 'ND' (not planned) (MM02 > MRP1)
    Please give more information.
    Thanks,

  • Capacity leveling, after Deallocate scheduling dates getting changed.

    Dear Experts,
I have a issue in Capacity leveling using transaction CM25 - Online. I have created some production orders (using forwards/backwards scheduling) for overloading of WorkCentre's. When I dispatch orders it’s getting scheduled perfectly, but when I Deallocate same orders scheduled dates are getting  changed.
Even after deallocation production orders schedule dates should be the same. Can you please help me in this regard?
    Thanks in advance.
    Prashanth

    Hello Prashanth,
From SAP help Date Determination in Dispatching and Rescheduling - Capacity Leveling (PP-CRP-LVL) - SAP Library
The current dispatching data is cancelled. The status "dispatched" of the operation is reversed. The order is rescheduled.
If further operations exist for an order which has already been dispatched, the system automatically carries out midpoint scheduling. If no other dispatched operations exist, the system carries out lead time scheduling.
If order date is in past then it schedules to current date during de allocation if you do not have enter number of past days allowed to start date in scheduling parameters.

  • Dependent requirements for Top level materials planned in MRP

    Hey Gurus,
A top level material 20350 has a component 30397 and both of these materials are planned in APO.  We have another top level material 30399 (but this material is planned in MRP) and the component 30397 (is planned in APO) will the dependent requirements from material 30399 be populated in APO for material 30397?
    Sincerely,
    Kris

    Kris
As Datta has mentioned the dependent demand will not reflect for the component material in APO. We had the same scenario as yours and this is what we did
We modified the Planned order integration model filter criteria by adding custom logic in the BAdI CIF_INT_MODEL. The logic was to query the BOM tables in R/3 and find out all parents that have SNP relevant materials as components and include these parents in the list of materials for which planned orders are to be CIF'ed from R/3 . The BAdI will be invoked when you run the IM generation .
You also have to CIF the BOM to APO . Once the PDS and planned orders are available in APO , the dependent demand will be created automatically. ( If you do not want to modify the BAdI then you can write a query and identify the parents and add them to the integration model manually)
    Thanks

  • WORK FLOW & PROCEDURE FOR FOR SNP CAPACITY LEVELLING HEURISTICS RUN

    Dear Sir / Madam,
Currently, we are  taking  only SNP Heuristics Run  and the output viz. planned stock transfer requisitions are being passed to PPDS as such. But now we feel, SNP capacity leveling can play a vital role in getting more fine tuned results from PPDS. So, We wants to start using the SNP Capacity leveling run. We shall like to know the work flow / procedure for taking the SNP capacity level run i.e. what inputs should be properly reviewed before taking the SNP capacity level run and what shall  be its output..? Kindly let us know the procedure / work flow for taking the SNP Capacity Levelling Run.
Your early reply in this regard shall be really appreciable.
    Thanks & Best Regards,
    Sanjeev Chugh
    25-Mar-10

    Hi Sanjeev,
as in any other module, correct master will play a key role in getting effective results in capacity levelling. you will need to check the following master data while setting the system for capacity levelling :
Consistency in BOM in R/3 and PPM/PDS
Consistency in Routing in R/3 and PPM/PDS - the actual through put on the shop floor should be the same as that in the routing and in the PPM/PDS. unless this is in sync, no amount of levelling can return good results.
Maintenance of shift - again as present in the shop floor.
you can provide the dump of the above master data and ask the shop floor engineers to validate the data as it exists in the ssytem. you can do the consistency check between R/3 and APO yourself using queries. Once they have validated this master data and the the actual master data reflects in your system, i think, the job is more than 50 % complete.
also you need to check the lot sizes, rounding profiles, and period factor, becasue all three combined play a major role in giving good or better results after levelling.
you may also check at what level you want to run the levelling. whther the bottleneck is at the finished component level, or 2nd level, etc. you may check whther you have discrete manufacuring or REM and if you really want to levelling on REM order.
then you need to analyse, what is the lengh of horizon you want to run the capacity leveling on. sometimes it makes no sense to run on the entire horizon because if capcities are already overlaoded, you will not achieve the desired results.
hence depending upon the level of your understanding and comfort of the planner (who will be using this result), the horizon can be increased grdually.
if you are starting to implemement capcity levelling, you can sumulate runs and show the results to the planner and check if the standard capacity heursitics satisfies their requirement. else you can go for custom requirement.
you will also have to decide on the stratagies, priorities, etc based on the business requirement.
i think the above should give some starting direction to implement capcaity levelling in your system.
award points if you find this useful.

  • MRP Planned order generation for Order reservation excluding Dependent Requirements

In our Project we have a requirement like for FG stage & SFG1 stage are M.T.O So after sales order are punched through  MD50 we have created Planned orders against sales orders,But dependent stages like SFG2 & SFG3 which are pure M.T.S so only Dependent requirements will get generated.Suppose for SFG1 i have partially converted planned order to Production order then for component SFG2 we get Partial Quantity as order reservation. Now requirement is if i run MRP for SFG2 system need to generate demand only for order reservation excluding Dependent requirements. Is there any possibility where we can generate demand only for order reservation. As system will create Planned order for SFG2=Dependent requirement + Order reservation

    Hi Uli,
Suppose i have Sales order--100 kgs for FG
    B.O.M levels
    1.FG-----M.T.O
    2.SFG1---M.T.O
    3.SFG2---M.T.S
    4.SFG3---M.T.S
    5.ROH
So if i run MRP via MD50 system would generate planned orders for FG & SFG1 level as they are M.T.O specific
Now my requirement list would be
    FG-100kg planned order
    SFG1-100kg planned order
    SFG2-100kg dependent requirement.
Now suppose i have partially converted SFG1 planned order to production order
SFG1--100kg planned order to 30 kg production order
Now my requirement list would be
    FG-100kg planned order
SFG1-70kg planned order & 30 kg production order
    SFG2-70kg dependent requirement & 30kg order reservation.
Here my requirement is if i run MRP for SFG2 in MD02 as these stage is M.T.S system should provide 30 kg planned order & if we see down the line it would be like
Now my requirement list would be
    FG-100kg planned order
SFG1-70kg planned order & 30 kg production order
    SFG2-30kg planned order & 70kg dependent requirement.
    SFG3-30kg planned order
    ROH-30kg Purchase req
    Client requirement is like these..

  • Capacity Leveling  Or Tabular Mettod

    Hi Experts
Can any one tell me About the capacity leveling or tabular method And how we used it in our day to day scenario.
    Rgds
    Pankaj Agarwal

    Hi Pankaj,
Normally in domestic projects very less usage has been seen for Capacity LVl. but by the Tcode CM25 you can use this form of levelling. CM25 is tabular capacity planning board where you can see the capacity requirements laid against the planned orders or work centers. After visualizing the plan you can better evaluate the capacity requirement. But it is mainly used to priortize the operations in std. practice.
There as the board you can select the plaaned order and via allcaote and Deallocate buttons you can take these operations. And finnaly you despatch it them to upper tab of the boards as yr firm capacity load.
Pls try it. It is a very good tool,
    Rgds,

  • Planning of dependant requirements in continuous production

    Hi Experts,
    The scenario is as follows.
We are producing a bulk material and packing it in to bags. We have orders for bulk material and packaging material. This is a continuous production. i.e. we donu2019t have to wait till the completion of the bulk material production to start the packing.
Just after the production of 1st batch of bulk, I can start packing. This means the bulk material order and packing material order are overlapped. How can I map this scenario in R/3 MRP so that the overlap appears in the scheduling?
    Thanks & Regards
    Prathib

    Prathib,
What I am looking for is an overlap when I run MRP.
I am going to assume that the 'bulk material' is a component of the 'packing material'. I believe you can achieve your requirement through your BOM explosions.  The dates of dependent requirements can easily be offset from the start date of the higher level (packing) order.
One method is to assign portions of the Bulk component BOM to different routing operations of the higher level (packing) production order.  For this to work, you obviously must have more than one operation in the higher level (packing) order.  You also must use Lead time scheduling during the MRP run to make this work for the planned orders.
A second method is to use a fixed offset. In this case, the lower level (bulk) order completion date is offset from the higher level (packing) start date by a fixed duration of days.  This offset can be entered at the detailed item level in the BOM (CS02)
Finally, you can create a distribution function (OPB3), and a distribution key (OSPA), in which you can fine tune exactly the timing of the dependent requirements, using 'percentage of completion logic'.  This distribution key can then be assigned at the detailed item level of the BOM.

  • Strategy 50- Assembly's Dependent Requirement Grouping

    hi Gurus,
MRP settings of materials I am using is as under
    1.FG-- Strategy-50-----Availability check: CH -
Indiv Collec ind : 2 ---Consumpt mode : forward/ backward with 30 days each
    2.--Level-1 SFG--
    Strategy-50 -
    Availability check: CH -
Indiv Collec ind : 2 ---Consumpt mode : forward/ backward with 30 days each
3.--Level-2 SFGNo StrategyAvailability check 02---Indiv Collec ind : 2 ---Consumpt
My requirement is to maintain PIR for level-1 SFG...after providing PIR of SFG level-1 and performing MRP run. Planned orders are created agains the dependant requirement of Level-2 SFG which are drawn from PIR of SFG level-1. Using strategy50 i m not able to convert planned orders of SFG-Level 1 into process order on the other hand Planned orders of SFG level-2 are convertible into process order, which is the desired functionality.
Now if i create a sales order of the FG following results appear.
    at SFG level-1
    - Unconvertible Planned Orders created remain unchanged.
    - PIR is not effected
    - Depandant requirement is created for the quantity exploded from FG sales order and corresponding planned order is also created which is convertible.
"Desired result is: PIR of SFG level-1 should be consumed "
    at SFG level-2
two seprate planned orders are created, one against the PIR of SFG level-1 and second agains the dependant requirement of the sales order created for FG ( i.e. FG--> SFG level -1 > SFG level>2)
    Desired Result is
one netted off planned order to be created at this level..i.e. the planned order quantity should be increased only if the dependant requirement of sales order exceeds the dependant requirement coming from PIR of SFG level-1.

    hi,
use the strategy 50 only for FG,
For sfg and raw materials leave the strategy as blank.
if you use strategy 50 for sfg,the planned orders created would be unconvertible, order type VP.so only use strategy 50 for fg.
    this will solve your issue.

  • CM21 capacity leveling settings

    Hi,
In CM21, is it possible to setup different colors for released  orders and created orders.
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear,
Some settings in Customizing have to made to change the colors of operations or order depending on the status. Create a new object representation that must be entered in a new object representation selection via a modified decision table. Execute the query of the system status or the user status at order header level in the decision table using field AFKO-OBJNR. Field KBED-OBSTA can be used at operation level. The changes result in a new representation profile.
    Proceed as follows:
          1. Analyzing the used profile
                a) Go to the IMG structure for capacity requirements planning. Call your profile of the capacity planning table and note the following settings.
o Choose 'Capacity leveling -> Capacity planning table -> Define profile for capacity planning table'.
o Display your profile and take note of the following:
              o GraphObjectSele (Diagram section):
              o Repr.profile (Diagram section):
              o Group (Graphics profile):
              o Name (Graphics profile):
An overview of the used settings is displayed when you press the 'Check' pushbutton where you can execute the further analysis easily.
                b) Finding the graphic object type in question
Double-click on the 'Graph.object.select.' area and take the graphic object type in question from the decision table:
                or:
o Choose 'Capacity leveling -> Technical settings -> Capacity planning table -> Define graphical object type selection'.
o Select your graphical object type selection and choose 'Decision steps'.
o Find out which graphical object type is affected by double-clicking on the relevant table line.
                c) Select the required graphical element type
An overview of the available graphical element types is displayed when you do the following:
In the overview, double-click on the area 'Group, Name' and there on the used graphical element group.
                or:
o Choose 'Capacity leveling -> Technical settings -> Capacity planning table -> Graphics -> Define graphics profile'.
o Mark the line with the corresponding group and name and choose 'Goto -> Details'.
o Note the used graphical element group:
o Choose 'Capacity leveling -> Technical settings -> Capacity planning table -> Graphics -> Define graphical element'.
o Position the cursor on the used graphical element group.
o Here you will find the available graphic element types.
          2. Create a new graphical object representation
                a) Create a new representation profile in the used graphical object type selection based on the used representation profile.
o Choose 'Capacity leveling -> Technical settings -> Capacity planning table -> Define graphical object type selection'.
o Select your 'GrapObjSele' and choose 'Representation profile - overview'.
o Select your representation profile and choose 'Edit -> Copy as...'.
              o Enter a new name.
o Press ENTER to confirm your entries.
              o Copy all dependent entries.
o Press ENTER to confirm your entries.
              o Save your entries.
o Stay in the overview of the representation profiles.
                b) Define a new object representation selection for the respective graphical object type based on the types used there.
o Select the representation profile created by you and choose 'Representation profile'.
o Note the object representation selection for the required graphical object type:
o Now choose 'Capacity leveling -> Technical settings -> Capacity planning table -> Define graphical object'.
              o Select the required 'Gr.obj.'
o Call 'Object representation' in the Navigation window.
o Select the 'Object repr.' you have noted before and choose 'Edit -> Copy as...'.
              o Enter a new name.
o Press ENTER to confirm your entries.
              o Copy all dependent entries.
o Press ENTER to confirm your entries.
              o Save your entries.
                c) Define a new object representation based on the object representation to be changed in the required graphical object type.
o Select 'Object representation' in the Navigation window.
o Select the 'Object repr.' to be changed and choose 'Edit -> Copy as...'.
              o Enter a new name.
o Press ENTER to confirm your entries.
              o Copy all dependent entries.
o Press ENTER to confirm your entries.
              o Save your entries.
o Select your newly created 'Object repr.' and choose 'Graphical element type'.
o Select 'New entries' and enter the respective graphic element type (see 1. c).
o Delete the graphic element type to be replaced.
              o Save your entries.
                d) Insert a query for the respective graphic object type in the newly created object representation selection in the decision table so that the new object representation is displayed by the conditions specified through the system status or user status.
o Select 'Object representation' in the Navigation window.
o Select the new object representation selection and choose 'Decision steps' in the Navigation window.
o Insert a line for the query of the status at a suitable position in the sequence 'Decision status, Sequence'. To execute this at order header level, you must specify a status comparison for structure AFKO, field OBJNR for which the new object representation can then be entered. Use field KBED-OBSTA if you want to evaluate the status at operation level.
              o Save your entries.
                e) Enter the new object representation selection in the new representation profile.
o Choose 'Capacity leveling -> Technical settings -> Capacity planning table -> Define graphical object type selection'.
o Select your 'GraObjSele' and choose 'Representation profile - overview'.
o Select the representation profile you have created and choose 'Representation profile'.
o Replace the object representation selection by the newly created selection for the required graphical object type and save it.
                f) Replace the available representation profile by the newly created one in your profile for the capacity planning table.
You can refer the OSS note 71014 for details.

Leveling Capacity in the Planned Order
    Prerequisites
The planned order must be scheduled.
    Procedure
Starting from the Long-term Planning node, choose Long-term planning ® Simulative planned order ® Change.
The system displays the details screen for the planned order. From this screen, you can call up the capacity check, if necessary, by choosing Edit ® Capacity check. The system then checks available capacities. If no overload exists on the work centers in question, the system displays a message stating that no overload exists. If an overload does exist, the system branches to the capacity situation where you can make any necessary changes.
To level capacities, choose Goto  Capacity leveling.
The system displays the dialog box entitled, Settings for Capacity Planning if you have not yet defined any parameters for capacity planning.
Select the appropriate planning type and the period type for capacity planning. If necessary, select a period of examination. Choose Continue.
The system carries out scheduling using the parameters set in Customizing.
If scheduling could not be carried out free of error, the system displays an overview of the scheduling errors based on the planned orders in question. From here, you can access the scheduling log to check the details on the scheduling errors. To do this, choose Log.
    5. Choose Continue. The system displays the evaluation of the capacity situation.
Capacity leveling is also displayed with reference to a work center and a capacity category (for example, machine or person) and the unit of measure is displayed from the work center. Here, the following is valid: If a planning work center (routing header) is entered in the routing the system first displays this work center with the corresponding capacity category. Otherwise, the selection is random. The system also displays the following data:
Order number, order quantity and order finish date
    Available capacity
Total capacity requirements for the selected work center
    Capacity requirements for the material
Capacity requirements of the selected planned order
Capacity loads resulting from the selected planned order are specially indicated.

  • Infinite scheduling with capacity leveling.......

    Hi there ,
If we go for infinite scheduling & then after MRP run go for capacity leveling ..........
then will we get the same effect as finite scheduling .....
    Please suggest me
    Regards
    Kaushik

    Hi Kaushik,
If my understanding is correct, you are asking for the difference between manual and automatick despatching of orders in capacity levelling?
when we set finite scheduling in capacity header view of work center, and run MRP with scheduling parameter 2 set.
In capacity planning the availabile capacity will be compared with the required capacity and the load will be depicted as a graph or in table format. This only gives the load situation against the period.
For this the despatching of order will be done manually based upon the load per day by a scheduler in capacity levelling.
    And to add more,
In R/3 finite scheduling is not there and this is drawback and APO was put in front for this purpose.
Can you confirm me whether the system automatically levels the order or despatchs the order in finite scheduling.

  • NPROC:Dependent requirement not getting generated

    Hi Experts,
We have an issue wherein we have Depedent requirement for a HALB material against FERT material requirement. But, the MD04 screen of HALB material doesn't show any Dependent requirement.
Infact, the MD04 screen of the FERT material shows NROC in the MRP element data for the given period.
NROC: It means that there are some errorneous components which were created by doing GR before a GI.
I had tried executing MF47 transaction(which is COGI equivalanet in REM scenario) for clearing the errorneous components. But, i got the error as "Deficit of BA Unrestricted use". So,it means that it shall use my current stock for post processing the error componenets, which ideally shouldn't been the case as the stock was already consumed.
Then, i found out that the BOM of FERT was not maintained.
So,just wanna know that coz BOM of FERT is not maintained & the HALB needs to be defined as a component in the BOM of FERT in this case?
or any other solution is there so that Depedent requirement for the HALB material reflects in MD04 screen.
What we want: The recurring NPROC requirement which is coming for the year 2009, 2010 should permanently vanish from MD04 screen.
    Thanks,
    Rishi

    Harendra,
Are you using "NETPL" as processing key for MD02? After 3 or 4 days is the dependent requirment getting created automatically or is it after MRP run again?
    Please provide more details,
