After downloading an app, then later trying to open it again, the iPad screen turns green and nothing happens. How can I fix this?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and sifnout and sign back in
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Thanks for the question. I understand that you are having display issues with your iPad 2 and you have already attempted to restart it. To completely isolate the issue, let's try resetting your device as well:

Oh my gosh! I thought my iPad 2 was toast... Then I read your comment...I took it out of the case and whacked it twice on the back right at the Apple insignia and holy smokes it worked, it's back to normal

IPod 5 screen turned green and then turned off.

I was using my iPod touch 5 and the screen started turning green and thin black lines were appearing. The screen turned black but the iPod was still on. I used the reboot to try turn it on again (home and on/off button pressed together) and it turned off completely. I left it for the day to cool down, because it was really hot suddenly. When I tried to turn it on again, nothing happened when i tried pressing home button, holding the on button and the reboot. Please help!

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. The hotness suggests a hardware problem

If i go to high res (720p or higher) my screen turns green and the video fast forwards to the end.

I have windows 7 64 bit and use mozila firefox 15.0.1
I have got the problem that when i select higher resolution in videos (such as on youtube) that at 480p it will run for a while but then just stops even though the buffering is already complete.
If i go to higher resolutions like 720p or 1080p the video will run for a while again but then the screen goes green and the movie fast forwards to the end preventing me to watch movies without problems at higher res.
If u want more information about my problems or know a solution pls tell me.

Could you try temporarily disabling protected mode to see if that makes a difference (instructions towards the bottom of the FAQ linked below)? I'll circle back with our video team to see if they've made any progress with this issue.

IPad Screen problem green and fuzzy

I was happy with my Ipad going online and reading books for hours a day until recently when I turned it on! The screen is greenish and fuzzy like when you have a bad reception on a tv with an analog signal... please help! I have no access to a genius bar as I'm living in Dubai, I had mine shipped here from the online store.

Anyone having a problem with their screen looking like an old analog tv who's rabbit ears needed to be adjusted (or worse) should try tapping the upper right edge with their hand a few times before doing anything else. Such an easy fix-who'd of thought? Obviously not me and just as obviously, it is most likely a hardware glitch. I wish I had found this solution at the beginning of my day and not the end. I have a well loved, well used 1st gen Ipad. I had tried all solutions found on this page plus others....hard reboot several times, reset thru itunes, different usb cord, etc. and nothing worked. I had an unreadable screen. My last resort was a clean factory reset found using clear, precise directions from ipadforums.net I know this was successful because of the on-screen itune messages I was getting but at the end of it all, I still could not read my ipad screen. I walked away and had a pity party . I decided to do one more search for a possible solution and happened upon this page. 3 taps was all it took - a beautiful, clear, readable screen again. No apps, no music, no photos, no books, no magazines but it works again so I'm just going to hold on to that happy thought for right now.

Mac randomly crashes, screen turns green and white, and it works fine upon restart. What causes this and how can I fix it?

My MacBook Pro 13 inch (I've had it for about a year and a half) has started crashing randomly. It happens about once a week and it will happen when I'm in the middle of either watching a video, typing a paper, playing a game, etc. The computer clicks loudly and the screen becomes a series of green and white lines. It works fine upon restart, but it's still annoying whenever it happens. What causes this? Is it fixable?

The image suggests an issue with the graphics board.
The issue may happen more when your machine is generating additional heat, as when you're watching or processing video, or gaming. I can't say for certain, of course, but certain things will reduce the chance of the problem recurring:
1. Keep your machine as cool as possible. When there's additional heat, turn up the fan, or use an app like HD Fan Control to reduce the heat. Use your computer the way you see fit, but be conscious of heat.
2. Back up on a regular basis. Logic board problems can lead to more serious issues down the line, so backing up is a good way of safeguarding your data.
3. Look up "Logic Board Woes" on Google for a comprehensive discussion of the issue.

What can I do about my FaceTime screen turning green and then freezing?

My screen for facetime freezes and then turns green

I (& my brother) have the same issue when facetiming my sister. She's got an iphone 4s (updated to the current iOS) & my brother & I have iphone 4. The call connects, we see her for a couple of seconds, then it goes all blocky & green screens & drops the call. My brother has also tried on his ipad & gets the same issue, only it reboots the ipad (but it doesn't seem to do that with our phones).
Have had a quick look online but haven't found anything.... only a video that someone posted (which shows what I've described above!)

Screen turns green and red

occasionally (4-5 times in the past year since i got it) the screen of my notebook turns green with some red lines. When this happens, the computer fan turns on really fast. I have to hold down the power button to turn off computer and not overheat it (i'm guessing). Does this have to do with overheating? is it a problem or just a nuisance?
