I purchased 3 iphones from Ner Jersy in Dec 2012. One got defective. Tried replacing in UAE/India and UK. Every one in apple saying new story everytime and no one seems interested to solve my problem.

iPhone warranty/support has always been limited to country of original purchase(except for the EU where warranty/support is EU wide). In your case, as you've found out, your warranty/support is only valid in the US.
Always been this way with the iPhone, since the first iPhone was released. If you want warranty service for these phones, you need to physically return them to the US...you can't mail them to Apple. You can mail them to a friend/relative in the US, and they can take them to an Apple store, then mail them back to you.

    Hello my experience Apple Service has not been great. Anytime I have had to have something repaired...it has had to go back. Several years ago i had a logic board replaced on a Mac Pro but they forgot to serialize the board... (well?)
    Recently I had to take my iMac in (repair # R104249849) The check-in was great after that it was all down hill. I was told by one tech what would be done AND he would call me. I got no call. When I called  to find out what was going on, no one could give me any information...kind of like there was no communication between techs. no one ever called me to come get the iMac so went to the store ( I got tired of trying to getting "no answers" on the phone. It just so happened the iMac had been ready and was "just sitting" in the back running another diagnostic. A week ago the iMac shut down on it's own I got it running again...two days ago one of the fans started running a very LOUD HIGH SPEED yet the computer was not hot.  I wasted almost two hours with Apple Care iChat "typing" my story to only find out that that I would have to call the Apple Store in the morning and re-tell my story again...
    When I got a manager on the phone and mentioned I am under some tight deadlines his suggestion was "if it's possible for you to buy a new machine and return it when yours get fixed...(!)" I had a good laugh on that one.
    The iMac is there now being there hopefully being repaired.(repair #R10604084)
    I got "band aide fix" service when major surgery was needed.
    I know computers can cease to function anytime, but I also know that there are two sides to customer service:
    1) Learn to really listen
    2) Do thorough repairs
    I have been 100% Apple for over 20 years, does this mean anything to Apple?

    I have spoken to Customer service at Apple Corp. They seem to take this serious.

    I still don't have my computer and after speaking with the tech yesterday morning (who said they would call me before 6:00 PM...I never got a call)
    no can tell me when I will get this computer back.
    I called Apple Corp Customer service to ask why after all the company "ball dropping" and questionable repair work...simply replace the iMac.
    No one there has an answer for this.

    Wow, Karan Taneja, you've just embarrassed yourself on a worldwide support forum.  Not only is your post ridiculous and completely inappropriate for a technical support forum, but it also shows your ignorance as to whom you think the audience is.  Apple is not here.  It's users, like you. 
    If you would have spent half the time actually reading the Terms of Use of this forum that YOU agreed to by signing up to post, as you did composing that usesless, inappropriate post, you (and the rest of us on this forum) would have been much better off.

  • Great Apple service and support

    Monday night, I came upon, and downloaded a new (to me) S.M.A.R.T utility from Volitans Software. It's more robust than some of the others I've seen.
    When I ran it for the first time, it found 1 removed, and 1 pending removed sectors on my hard drive. It stated that the drive was failing. I ran the Apple Hardware Test (3 passes) and each time, I got a 4 MOT/1/xxxxxxxxx:HDD error message. I got on the Apple website and arranged to have a tech call me yesterday morning. He called exactly within the time window promised. When he saw that I had already done the AHT, he thanked me for being prepared. He looked it up and concluded that the drive was indeed failing due to an RPM problem. (probably not spinning up properly due to a bad bearing) He gave me the address of the nearest Apple repair place, 70 odd miles away in El Paso Tx. That's closer than the Apple Store in Albuquerque. Just for giggles, I put in a call to a fellow who used to do Apple warranty work here in my city. I got his answering machine.
    Just as I was getting ready to leave for El Paso, he called me back. He no longer does warranty work, but told me that there is a guy here who does. It's just that Apple techs don't really know about him. He does in home warranty work. I called Apple back and talked to a tech about this fellow and requested in home repair. This tech might have been new. She didn't quite follow what I was telling her and wanted me to reformat the drive. (?) I explained what had gone before. She transferred me to a tech who specializes in field repair. He did indeed know of the company (QualXServe) who does the field work and said that my Applecare would cover his visit. He said that he would ship a new drive and drive cable to the tech and that the tech would call me when it arrived. Just 30 minutes after I hung up with Apple, QualXServe called to tell me that the parts were being shipped and would be here on Friday. Today, Wednesday, the QualXServe tech called me to say that the parts were here. We arranged the home visit for Friday morning.
    Now, that's danged good service no matter how you cut it. The Apple techs were in Canada and were quick, professional and cordial, even though the second tech was a little confused. The QualXServe folks were also fast and cordial. I have no reason to believe that the installation won't go just fine on Friday morning. So, for all the stories we read here about shoddy service from Apple, here's one that's different. I was nice with the Apple techs and had a good time and a few laughs with them. They did exactly what I hoped for without any argument. The $$ I spent on Applecare was a good investment. When this little iMac dies someday, you can be sure that I'll be looking for an Apple replacement.
    For any of you who find yourself in my position, remember QualXServe. Apple has to dispatch them, but know that there might be home service available in your town, even though the Apple website and techs aren't aware of it.

    I'm glad everything worked out but there are very few complaints about shoddy service from Apple but complaints about some machines that don't work properly.

  • It seems that viber here in Oman is not working on all Apple products.  I called up my service provider and I was told they have not blocked the app.  Suprisingly my colleagues using samsung is not experiencing the same problem. Please help..

    I am living and working here in the sultanate of Oman.  Its been two days that I have not been able to use viber on my iPhone unless I use VPN.  I talked to colleagues who have iPhones and other apple devices and they said they are also experiencing the same problem.  I tried to call up my service provider (NAWRAS) and they informed me that the problem is not on their side, that they have not blocked the app.  Surprisingly, when I asked my colleagues using samsung, they said the app is working just fine.  What seems to be the problem?  Are the codecs (I hope I am using the right terms here) used by viber now are similar to that of the other messaging blocked apps like Tango, weChat and skype?
    Please help us on this. Thank you!

    Maybe its a Viber problem. As that is not an Apple product, why don't you try and contact the developer?

    You may also be able to access https://store.apple.com/ in Safari, log into your account, and review recent purchases (and cancel any that haven't shipped yet).

    If you purchased AppleCare + within 30 days of getting your iPhone 5 you are allowed 2 instances of breakage replacement with a $49 deductible. If you do not have AppleCare + accidental breakage is not covered under you warranty, you can do an out-of-warranty replacement for $229.

    try a reset of iPhone and then a restore,best, as new and if it then functions correctly try restoring with your backup

    I've also had the same issues, after upgrading to IOS 6.0, the apps in my iPhone 4 were crashing and the battery life run out very fast.
    The only solution worked for me was to remove all mail accounts (Exchange/Gmail) from my iPhone (in settings) and then add them back.
    The crashing were stopped! also the battery was back to normal.
    I found the solution by first looking at the crash logs (in IOS 6). you can find them at Settings -> General -> About (at the bottom of the About menu you will find the option that opens the logs).
    There i saw many logs about Low Memory crash. 99% of the logs were pointed that the largest process (use the most memory) during the crashes is "dataaccessd".
    I search in the web and found that this process is a deamon process that reponsible the Mail accounts (like Exchange/Gmail) and contancts list.
    I've installed the app "System Status - activity monitor" which shows important system info like CPU usage, Memory usage and running processes.
    Before apply my solution (deleting the mail accounts) i saw that the CPU usage was very high which consume the battery very fast. Also i saw that the memory (RAM) was run out.. which probably what cause the crashing..
    After deleting the mail accounts (at Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars) i check again with the System Status app, and saw that the memory and CPU were back to normal.
    Adding the mail accounts back, still everything work ok

    iPhones do not have an international warranty.  Warranty is valid only for the country of purchase.  This is most likely because different countries require different iPhone models.  Not reasonable to expect all countries to maintain stock for all models.

    ceeb28744.  Welcome to the Apple Users Support Community.  Sorry to hear your TC died!  You said it was a 2TB so I would guess it be the model A1355/MB997LL/A or MC344LL/A.  Believe it or not all users of these time capsules will eventually experience this problem like you have.  There is a 99.5% (or better) chance that the only thing that is wrong with it is the internal power supply.  If you will go to this site.... https://sites.google.com/site/lapastenague/a-deconstruction-of-routers-and-modem s/apple-time-capsule-repair  and once there look over at the left side and you will find:
    Apple Time Capsule Repairers    and from that list you will be able to choose from a list of individuals that could repair your TC and have it returned to you fully operational again.  The individuals on the list are hardware technicians and they can save you a lot of money and time.
