After transported work flow changes, 2 new inactive versions generated

Dear ABAP consultants,
I have generated new version in my development system and saved under the workbench TR, then have modified my workflow changes and activated the active version and release the sub tasks of Workbench TR and ask my basis to release and Transport TR.
After they imported TR, there is an error logs: Object type Z_proposal could not be generated.
And in target system, 2 workflow versions got generated.
Please help me on this.

I have got issues and resolved.
--> I have missed out event Linkage between BOR to Workflow.
--> And also Z_proposal having some error in quality system, because of one structure used in Z_proposal object not found in my Quality system.

you can uninstall them, but do not need to uninstall them. you should probably wait a few months to make sure all your peripherals and plugins work with the cc 2014 versions before uninstalling cc.

Work flow mailer become inactive each system bounce

Oracle Applications : 12.0.4
i have a prblem with my work flow mailer,it becomes in active each time i restart the APPS,
it start this way:
1-i stopped the work flow mailer for more than 3 months,
2-table WF_NOTIFICATIONS contain 400000 record in Mail status
3-so to avoid sending the pending emails in the Outbound Queue to the employees.
4-i used this action plan (from note736508.1);
update WF_NOTIFICATIONS set mail_status = 'SENT' where mail_status = 'MAIL' ;
sqlplus usr/passwd@db @wfntfqup APPSusr APPSpw FNDusr
and then the problem appear?
can any one help?
or any notes may be?

After transports, find many InfoObjects are inactive!

After all transports are done. Find inside any Transfer Rule, source system/datasource fields are blank (We have asked BASIS to do the source system name mapping settings already). I manually assign the source system/datasource and find many InfoObjects are marked with red tick "X", then I realize that these InfoObjects are inactive.
You guys may know that BW InfoObject dependencies are very complicated. Just wonder how you guys collect all these InfoObjects for transports.
I find a way of massive activations of all InfoObjects manually, but in this way, the Change Request window pops up to prompt you to create change request and I don't the authorizations to create CR on PROD.
Any idea?

Hi Kevin,
you can not activate the BI contents in the production server. The procedure is to activate them in Dev, move them to QA. Test them in QA and on successful testing, move them to production. This way, you need to create a CR in dev system and move it all the way to Production system.
As you rightly mentioned, you need to maintain the dependencies while transporting the BW contents. I would suggest you follow the following steps.
1. Transport the datasources.
2. Replicate the data sources.
3. TRs, CS, Info Objects, UR and then infoproviders.
This way, you should not ahve any problem. Hope this helps.

First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive might be failing.
There are a few other possible causes of generalized slow performance that you can rule out easily.
Reset the System Management Controller.
If you have many image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons, move them to another folder.
If applicable, uncheck all boxes in the iCloud preference pane.
Disconnect all non-essential wired peripherals and remove aftermarket expansion cards, if any.
Check your keychains in Keychain Access for excessively duplicated items.
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
Launch the Console application in the same way you launched Activity Monitor. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select

Select the 50 or so most recent entries in the log. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). You're looking for entries at the end of the log, not at the beginning.

You can rename the content-prefs.sqlite file to content-prefs.sqlite.old (or delete the file) in the Profile Folder to reset the page zoom on all sites.

this you need to check with your developer, whether any dependency is there for this transport. Based on the dependency, in a particular order you need to transport, else the transport will fail.

As for your issue with the add-on, you should take that up with the developer himself. Most of the times after the release of a new Firefox version, add-ons may become incompatible. It's up to the developer to address these issues and update it accordingly. You can contact the developer from their add-ons page.

ADOBE FM not exist after transport

Hi dears,
I'm facing to a problem with an adobe form transport.
In dev, adobe works fine. I've transported the adobe in acceptance, after the transport, I test the adobe.
Transaction sfp, test button.
So I reach the initial screen of FM module. The FM is called /1BCDWB/SM00000007 and when I execute it, I've a dump. It's say:
Short text
    The function module is not active or contains no code.
What happened?
    The function module "/1BCDWB/SM00000007" is called, but
    cannot be found in its function group.
    Error in the ABAP Application Program
    The current ABAP program "/1BCDWB/SM00000007============FT" had to be
     terminated because it has
    come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
I know that with smartforms sometimes we need to regenerate the SF after transport with the option in the menu generate.
I go in form object menu Form Object (first one) and choose generate.
I've the information message (in green):
Unable to find include '/1BCDWB/LSM00000007U01
and the FM is not yet avaible
In dev this manipulation generate works fine but not needed.
Su53 in acceptance is ok last authorization wheck was successful and adobe in acceptance (the form and interface with sfp) are ok.
Any help is welcome

Hi Vincent,
Similar to SMARTFORMS in adobe forms also the FM have a different name in different systems.
So wherever you are writing the code to call your adobe form call FM: FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME and get the fm name from there, replace your FM /1BCDWB/SM00000007 with the variable in which you are getting your Forms FM name.
For example:

How to reflect new changes in older instance of work flow?

Hi All,
I am working on a custom workflow.
This workflow is triggered by web dynpro component.
Earlier my custom infotype was getting updated from web dynpro, and work flow is used to maintain process flow.
But currently we started facing some authorization issue while updating infotypes for approvers.
So now i introduced an activity in work flow to update this infotype from work flow using WF_Batch
(calling method of a class to update the infotype), and commented the code to update infotype from web dynpro.
Now the problem is, i have few requests raised using older version of work flow,
in which the activity to update infotype was not there.
New requests are working fine, infotype is getting updated using work flow.
But in older requests when i am viewing from SWIA that new activity to update infotype is not visible.
How can i implement the changes to older instances of work flow?
Because for older requests in web dynpro also there is no code to update infotype as well as in older work flow instance
my activity to update infotype is not visible.

Hi Amar,
The changes will be reflected for new instances that are created after the transport of the new workflow definition.
The instances of old definition will continue as it is.
However a workaround could be that you can end the old definition instances by logically deleting them and start new workflow by T code SWUS or generating event by SWUE and go through the whole process again.
Re- triggering of the workflow seems to be only solution here .

System generated new version after transport

I have noticed that after transport, the system automatically generated a new version in the receiving system and mark that as active. Is this usual? Should I just leave it as it is?

Yes, this is really usual.
Workflows work version dependant, this means that your active workflows running in production do not get affected when transporting a new template.
In all of the workitem tables (sww* tables) version is always included as a key field.
That's why you have to double check if you're changing a task/method, these are version independant.
