Agent assignment for a task group

Hi,
I have created a TAsk group which has two workflows inside. But when go for the agent assignment for the task group via OOCU tcode, it is not showing the workflows under the task group.
Plz let me know wht may be the problem...

I am not able to assign agent through task customization [ OOCU Tcode ]. But I am able to assign in PFTC tcode.

Agent determination for another task

Hi Experts,
I have assigned agent as US for a task. One custom FM is called for an approval screen and that FM is called from the method . That method is assigned to that task. The approval screen should have the approver name.
How to pass the agent assigned for the task to the FM assigned in the method.

plese find my sugestion.
1. In any of the previous steps, find the approver name.Pass that approver name from the 'METHOD' to TASK container.from TASK Container to the WORKFLOW Container
2. Then in the current step, Bind the 'APPROVER_NAME' to the TASK, and then to the 'METHOD'.
3. now u can use the APPROVER_NAME inside the method.

Now that's concerning.....!!!
This error usually shows up when the workflow is not able to resolve the outcome of the decision....no branch is there for the selected decision.
Since, the standard workflow is also going in an error....this is something wrong...
Did anyone play around with the standard decision task?
I am not sure if this will help, try generating the task and standard workflow by executing the FM SWD_WFD_REPLICATE_FROM_9999 from SE37 directly. First, generate the task (give full task ID TS00008267 as the input and execute; and then the standard verification workflow in the next exec).
Try and test again...if this works, generate your custom workflow again like this.
The above is a pure guess and I am not sure if this will work.

Agent assignment for task

Hi,
I have copied the standard task TS00008267( Generic Decicion Task) into another task. But when i use the new task, it says no agent assignment.
when I looked into agent assignment mentioned for TS00008267( Generic Decicion Task), it has got "Demo workflows" and "Records Management" as 2 task groups maintained in it.
How can I add these 2 inside my own created task which is a copy of TS00008267 ?
I am new to the workflow concepts. Any help is aprreciated and rewarded.

You don't need to add those task groups, but you should make it a generic decision task.
1) Go to PFTC, open your copied task in change mode
2) Select menu item "Additonal data", "Agent assignment", "Maintain".
3) Select the top line in the screen (there is probably only one), the one that has the ID of your task (TS 9nnnnnnn) and press the button "Attributes" (or select menu item "Edit", "Attributes")
4) Select the radio button "General Task"
5) Close dialog box, F3 out to the main menu
Done. ... Unless the task was already a general task. Then there is something else wrong.

Can someone tell me how the system can be set to forward a work item for the person responsible for PO release, meaning based on the department who own the goods the system should find the person who's the approver of that department.

Hi ,
Try assigning a new Agent Rule in the Task TS20000166.
You will have to create a custom rule using transaction PFAC. Choose option "F - Agent dertermination function to be executed" and assign a new Z function module which will determine your agent.
You can refer to function module ME_REL_GET_RESPONSIBLE while creating your own function module.

Agent Assignment for tasks

Hi,
i have created a ECM WF.
Now i wanna do d "Agent Assignment"
Requrement is if User A checks the ECR then User B shud approve it.
If user X checks the ECR then User Y shud approve it and so on.
Thus my requirement is Hierarchy based i.e. depending on the departments hierarchy.
Can anybody tell me how to achieve this.

If your requirement is in such a way that....
for user X .... user Y is the approver
for user A..... user B is the approver,
then you can use the concept of Rule with responsibilities where in which you can find the approver based on a particular condition. The documentation to create the same can be found from the link below from help.sap.com

Agent assignment to workflow task

Hi all,
1) I have assigned a workflow(sub workflow) in a activity step in main workflow and assigned workflow task no ws99900258 in that step.i have tried to assign agents as general task.
i couldn't do it.its showing that please place the cursor..some thing.
Kindly let me know how to assign to a workflowid.
2) in another workflow i am facing the problem is "mandatory import element(workflow container object(z_plm_sbc) is not explicitly provided".
Kindly let me know how to rectify this error.

Hi Ramesh,
1. Open the workflow ws99900258 in tcode PFTC,
     Menu options -- > additional data-->agent assignment --> maintain --> select your workflow (this is where you are missing)
     click on "atttributes' buttone..
     Make it as general.
2. In your workflow some of the elements are mandatory, pass the required value into that element.
This is you have to mention in the Binding ..

I have copied a standard wokflow of master data governance into a 'Z' copy of it. I will use that same workflow but for different agents in it. I have to assign agents in it but that agents are like users with different hierarchical levels.
I am new to this. Plz can you help me in completing this workflow like how to create users/agents and how to assign that agents to workflow depending of their rights to perform activities.

Unable to delete agent assignment from Standard Task 8267 DECISION

Hi All
In transaction PFTC_CHG I'm trying to Delete Agent Assignment (Shift + F2), the screen simply refreshes and the action is not performed - the user is not deleted from the Demo Workflows parent folder? I'm not sure how to change or remove this entry? Authorisations check out fine.

Unable to send the email when ownership is assigned for a task using SharePoint

When we give any permission to the user through Group and People in SharePoint then that respective user gets an auto generated email, this is working fine for me.
But my actual problem comes here, I have created a task list in SharePoint when I assign a task to the person then that respective person did not get auto generated email. So please do help me with a right solution.

A resource assignment for new task during another task MS Project 2010

I would like to assing a new task during another task.
Resource A is assigned Task X from May 12th - May 16th. 5 hours per day.
I would like to assing new Task Y for May 14th. It will take 7 hours. So I would like to set up in MS Project 2010 as:
May 12th Task X: 5 hours
May 13th Task X:7 hours
May 14th Task Y:7 hours
May 15th Task X:8 hours
May 16th Task X:5 hours
I set up Task X for Resource A as from May 12th - May 16th working hours as 25 hours in gant chart.
Then I set up Task Y for Resource A as May 14th working hours as 7 hours in gant chart.
I see Resource is as follows.
May 12th Task X: 5 hours
May 13th Task X:5 hours
May 14th Task X:5 hours Task Y:7 hours -> Total 12 hours
May 15th Task X:5 hours
May 16th Task X:5 hours
Please let me know how I set up what I would like.

2 X options:
1) You may be tracking too granularly. A task should create something and then hand off to another task. in this case, you may as well just combine them into a single task for about a week or so. Most companies don't track hours per day
that granularly as well. I'd look to schedule by the week.
2) Split the tasks into multiple tasks and establish dependencies between them. Assign the resource to each task at different amounts of work.

ESS- Leave : You are not one of the possible agent for the task ws9021212?

I have copied the standard workflow template wa12300111 and assigned the new template in the customizing. When i apply leave from ESS working time , it says an error " You are not one of the possible agent for the task ws9021212? " .
The similar kind of Error i have solved before in by making the workflow as GENERAL TASK in PFTC as follows.
PFTC -> Choose "Workflow Template" from the drop down -> Enter the workflow template id "ws9021212" in the text box -> now click on "change" button -> Now goto the menu addional data -> agent assignment -> maintain -> select the task text -> and set it as general task.
i have cleared the buffer also!
BUT STILL I AM GETTING THE ERROR ?

Try to do this way. IN the workflow builder there is a button with hat. that is basic data. click on that and it will go to another screen and u can find a apple button that is agent assignment for a task click that.
It will open maintain agent assignment screen. click the text below that and click the attribute button and click the genral task. i think this will solve ur issue.

Agent Assignment in Workflow

If anyone had worked on customizing the WF for Changed Sub profile, WS1200124, please tell me how to configure the role for the standard task: 1200191, Abbreviation: PDVDispProfi .
I need to use this task for two purposes, one to show to the owner of the profile and second to the manager of the owner of the profile.
I tried giving the rules 01200025 for Employee and 01200024 for the manager in agent assignment for the tasks, but the workflow hangs at these tasks.
If I hardcode the agent to some user, it works fine.
Any suggestion on what would have gone wrong?
Is something to be activated at the rule level?

I work on ECC5 system.
Your answer solves half of my issue.
I assign an Expression with &EMPLOYEE& as the agent to task and this sends the mail to the employee.
the Work Item Subject says "Your Dev. Profile has been change".
Now, I also need to send the same mail to the supervisor of the employee.
Here, The workitem text should be "Dev. Profile has been changed for the Employee<b> XYZ</b>".
So, I cloned the task TS01200191 to TS900001,
changed the text accordingly and
created a container element "PERSON"
inserted this element as a variable in the text.
I need to pass this PERSON to the task in the binding from workflow.
This PERSON should be created in the workflow container and filled.
Please confirm if this procedure works or if there is a better one.
