ALBPM Process Admin Login errror

Hi,
I have already setup BPM in /apps/*bpmdv*/ directory in SOLARIS server. Everything is working fine.
1.Weblogic Admin Console -uses 7001 port
2.BPM Process Admin uses the port 8011.
3.DB - is a seperate DB
Oracle BPM is running fine untill now with the above settings.
I have set up the same in /apps/*bpmst*/ for our ST testing -->
1. Weblogic Server is up and running with the port 7101
2. BPM Process Admin used the port 8111
3. DB - is a seperate DB
Now i got problem loggin to BPM Process Admin 8111 with the below error.
I can login to the Weblogic Admin Server Console , no problem with that.

All the Directory Tables and Engine Tables are created in the schema accrodingly.
Why i am getting this error.

HI All,
The issue is solved once the directory.xml is verified, the default directoy was pointing to the old name and it is not over-written.
I edited the file to the current directory and then it works.
Files checked : directory.xml , webconsole.log for troubleshooting.
You will not get this error, if you have deployed the bpm only once and if its a new fresh deployment.

ALBPM Process Administrator Login

We are using ALBPM with WebLogic 9.2 and have setup a directory service with a SQL 2005 server. The tables are created and there is one row in the participant table. However, when we try to login to Process Administrator, we always get an error msg;
Login incorrect. Detail:Verify that the information provided is correct. If you cannot solve the problem, check with your administrator. Technical detail:URL: [mssqlserver2005://AskMartyDev:1433/database=BPM] Participant: [bpmdbuser] Reason: [invalid user or password].
Where mssqlserver2005://AskMartyDev:1433/database=BPM is the connection string to SQLServer and bpmdbuser is the login name we created when set up the directory service. What user name and password should we use to login? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check the following:
1) in the directory.properties file there is a jdbc-user and password, these are used to connect to SQLServer, check that they match the password in the DB
2) when you created the Directory (in Admin Center) you were asked for an administrators password, if you did not enter it, then it is the same value as the jdbc user that you used to create the tables. This user/pass is also writen in the directory.properties, but in the presets participant property.

ALBPM 5.7 BPM process admin issues with Oracle 11g RAC as directory service

Hi,
Setup ALBPM 5.7 enterprise for weblogic.
BPM Engine deployed on weblogic cluster.
BPM process admin (web console) deployed on tomcat.
BPM process admin uses WEB-INF/directory.properties for directory configuration.
things were fine with oracle SID,
directory.default.url=oracle://<db_host>:1521/schema=diruser,sid=BPMDB { with this, login to process admin was working fine}
But clueless, on how to configure RAC as the directory service in the above directory.properties file. Since this is a old version, no directory.xml in the installation.

Pop of Admin login page

I have created a page where I have buttons like delete and create report buttons. I am able to delete or add row in report(on same page), but whenever I click on delete or Add button, application ask for Admin username and password. Afte giving username/password, operation gets successful. But I dont want this login page to pop after clicking delete or add button.
I have not written any process which ask application for this pop up. Infact i dont have any idea why pop up is coming.
To tackle this problem,I tried entering following in OPTIONAL URL REDIRECT in Delete button.

But after that delete button became inactive. I am not able to understand, what is going wrong here:-(
Please help me to get rid of Admin login Pop up.

On Customer Page, When you try to Add a Customer and push create button, it takes you first to Admin login page. Same is case with Delete button.
However, insertion and deletion operations are getting completed after providing Login details. But, I dont want application to ask for login details for addition and deletion of customer.

IViews throwing exception from Non Admin Login?

Hi,
I have created some iViews using .Net PDK for SAP.
I have added these iViews to a page. Then the page is added to workset. I have created a new role and assigned this workset to the new Role. Then I have created a new User and associated this user with the newly created Role.
Now the problem is whenever I login to portal using new user name and password I am able to see the workset as well as page and iViews. But these iViews are throwing following exception.
An Error occurred while processing one of the iViews on this page in the .NET server.
More information:
1. Default Trace
Exception id: 10:37_04/10/05_0037_6409650
However these iViews are running properly when I preview them from admin login.
What are possible causes/solutions for the above mentioned behavior?

Hi Vikas
You should use the Permission Editor to assign user, group and role permissions to portal objects.
You can launch the Permission Editor in two ways:
1. Using the central Permission Editor
a. Choose System Administration ® Permissions.
b. Locate the folder or object you want to assign or edit permissions for, right-click it and choose Open ® Permissions from the context menu.
2. Using the object-specific Permission Editor
a. Launch the relevant administration tool or editor in the portal.
b. In the Portal Catalog, locate the object or folder to want to set or edit permissions for. Then, do one of the following:
i. Right-click the object and choose Open ® Permissions from the context menu.
ii. Open the object in the editor, and from the Display menu or drop-down list, choose Permissions.

As for your doubt on why you are able to view the iViews from an administrator's login,it is because The standard super administer role is assigned maximum access to the entire set of portal initial content. The Super Administrator role is assigned by default to the Administrators group. Therefore, initially all standard administrator users have super administrator permissions in the portal.

ALBPM Process Administrator Error

I have installed and configured the ALBPM Process Adminstrator 6.
When I try to start the BPM Web Applications from the Admin Center of the ALBPM Process Administrator, I get the following warning:-
log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger
(org.apache.catalina.startup.Embedded).
log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly.
The Process Administrator starts and then stops..How do I eliminate this error..

You can completely disregard this message. The Tomcat instance that is executed behind when you start the BPM Application Server, is trying to use a specific Log4J configuration that is not enabled. Is this the only problem or you also show that the underlying Tomcat container is not starting. In any event, the Admin Center application shows at the bottom several Tabs with logs from different web applications as well as the stderr and stdout of the underlying BPM Application Server Tomcat container.

Server.webBUIServer returns Process Admin but need Workspace port

While attempting to provide a link to a particular activity in an email via BPM code I have used the following code in ALBPM 5.7.

We use port number for workspace 8054 and process administrator 8585. While I need the link to point to our workspace port number and not the process admin port number.

I figured out the solution.
1. In process Admin -> Click Custom Engine link and -> Networking Tab and provide correct WorkSpace URL
2. server.webBUIServer refers to this URL and this can be linked to any email.
3. This will not get reflected until the engine is restarted. Therefore stop the engine and start the engine to resolve this issue.

Login Failed or Admin doesn't exist The above output describes that it is moving the cursor from first row to the last row and checking all the usernames i n each row with the given username, and it is also checking wheter it is admin or not. Currently i have three rows so it is moving three times. It is retreiving every value correctly but in comparing it is not comparing. What to do.

The buttons are all created using the same library object (but MC), except for the code you have in the revised file does not call on that for the con button.
You have it calling on something with a linkage name of "con", which a quick check tells me doesn't exist--so it is undefined in the code when you try to use it. I found this by using trace(newConBut._x); after its _x value was assigned, as I mentioned you should try.   So the first thing you want to do is change the following line from...
var newConBut = _root.attachMovie("con", "conbut", _root.getNextHighestDepth());
To
var newConBut = _root.attachMovie("but", "conbut", _root.getNextHighestDepth());
so that it uses the but MC that serves that purpose in the library. Then you want to correct the _x assignment of the buttons to what I think you had earlier...

My admin login password was recently changed but I forgot it. I didn't get to shut off my mac, it entered sleep so now I cannot enter recovery mode.

I know it's a bad idea to change passwords when you're stressed but I changed my admin login password and promptly forgot it after 5 minutes (there was a big commotion in the background). The problem is that now I cannot enter recovery mode, I'm stuck with the user login screen. I can log in as a guest just fine, but I need access to my files on the Admin account.
Lastly, I also haven't linked my Apple ID to my AirBook, so that is out of the question too. What can I do to gain back control over my admin account, without wiping all my data? - Currently running OSX 10.9.4

Once I get into recovery mode, do I go through the migration set up process? Should I be logged out of my account on the old macbook before I set up the new one? I really thought I knew what I was doing but am seriously confused now.

researched online and was told that i had to acess the `purchase` via AppStore where it asks me to log in with Apple ID and password
i used the usual admin login and password and didnt work, also on itunes and icloud the similar case

Just use the same Apple ID and password that you used to access this forum - that's your Apple ID.
The user name and password on your computer has nothing to do with your Apple ID.

Whenever I launch firfox through non admin login, I get an alert message.

I installed the printer everything works until I try to access certain settings in the Embedded Web Server. I pops up a box asking for admin login. Initially, the status page claimed the Admin password was set even though I never set that up. Through chatting with tech support rests cleared this, it is now reporting Not Set. However, I still can not login to check/change settings etc.
I think this printer had been purchased then returned to the store because the manual was missing. I downloaded the manual and did not find any mention of how to access the password settings. So far tech support has not been able to answer my question,

How to initaiate a ALBPM Process using Email

I'm very new to this ALBPM.
I have 2 quries for now.
* Can I initiate a process on receiving a mail to the mailbox.(SMTP Configured Inbox)
Like the way we send reminder mails to the SMTP configured mail box, Is it possible to initaiate a process automatically when that configured mail box receives a particular mail??
* How to generate the reports for a Process Instance. \\ \\ I want to track the status of a particular process under execution \\ i.e, wanted to generate a report taking status of the process at each \\ stage.
My requirement : we have process for creating a customer code.
Process flow will have these states : receives requests -
rejects/proceeds (we will review it if it incompletes sends back to
customer or proceeds with creation) - updating/approvals / escalations - end.So I need to generate the report with the following:how many requests came in a day,how many are requests are created successfully, how many requests have been rejected,how many are escalated.
Exactly I have the report of a request at what stage.it is
like rejected/approval pending/created....
At every stage I have to track the process and
need to generate a report
Can anyone please guide me in this as early as possible.

1. You may want to check that in what format you will be getting an email. You may have to use com object as usually info in email is sent in a VB form. If the email will be sent to you in an xml formt ( i assume that some engg group in between will convert the email for you in agreed format and transfer only required data to you).
You can use Global Automatic activity to listen from mail server and on basis of that initiate a instance in the albpm process by generating arguments and mapping arguments to instance variable.

BPM 10.3 Process Admin Engine Settings

In BPM 10.3 in the Process Admin console there are a series of engine settings that users can modify, inparticular under the Execution tab there's a section called Automatic Execution where an 'Interruption Retry Internal ' value can be set.
So I'm just trying to understand the impact that will this have on the on process behaviour?
Documentation is limited, but I can only assume that this value relates to the retry internal when you attempt to interrupt a process instance.
Does anyone have any experience / knowledge good or bad with relating to this setting?

1a) If the service is not available, it fails and stops the Global Automatic JMS Poller. A restart of BPM engine is required.
1b) If the service is available, it starts consuming messages.
2) When BPM engine is running if at some time the JMS connection goes down, BPM engine tries to reconnect to the JMS server every minute up to 50 times.
2a) If the connection can be reestablished, JMS Poller starts processing messages
again.
2b) If after the 50 retries the connection can not be reestablished, BPM engine logs
a severe message and stops the Global Automatic JMS Poller.
