Alignment problem in a graph when build

I would really appreciate your help.
I am turning around trying to align a legend of a graph.
My application is coded in Labview 2014 in Windows 7. Before it was in XP and older LabVIEW and I had no problem.
I have a user interface with a graph. I made my interface look good. When I build the interface is not the same in the exe version. I have attach a copy of what the interface should look like. I also a copy of the interface in EXE. In the exe image, I have circle the part which is not align. Is their a way to correcte that?

Hi cynt,
most often you will need to set FONT properties in the executables INI file. Usually keys like
FPFont="Tahoma" 13
BDFont="Tahoma" 13
appFont="Tahoma" 13
dialogFont="Tahoma" 13
systemFont="Tahoma" 13
do the trick…
(Replace "Tahoma" and 13 with your favorite settings!)

Hi Shivkumar,
If you right-clic on the time scale you can set the time/date format, I assume this is the way you should follow to add the "day of month in the time stamp.

When Building a Project

When I'm building my DVD Project it sometimes gets stuck at around 42 percent. I'm thinking this my be a problem with some of the music I have put into the videos. Does anyone no of any problems DVDSP might have when building a project ?

What does the log say when the error occurs? Is you audio AC3? Is DVDSP encoding your assests? or compressor? Try encoding your audio and video outside DVDSP and importing your encoded assets then all DVDSP will have to do is multiplex.

Language Problem when building executable

I'm having a weird issue when building executables. Labview seems to forget the english language. I have tried selecting English exclusively as the run time language but when i do that i get a "No supported languages installed!" error. Everthing works fine in the development environment. It only seems to apply to application menus and not custom user menus. Thanks for any insight.

I took a look into the issue, just to be sure the error thrown was “No support Language Installed,” correct? Check to see if the language of your operating system and the language LabVIEW is using is English. If these are both English, then it looks like this is an error due to installation issues in the run-time engine. Try to perform a repair by going through the install menu of LabVIEW. Having a image alignment problem using clearbox

Hi,
I'm having an image alignment problem. I cannot figure it out. I'm using the clearbox - lightbox dreamweaver widget. Using Dreamweaver CS6.

This has very little to do with Dreamweaver. DW is merely a tool to assist you in building a web site. It is purely a matter of styling (CSS).
When I look at the structure, I see
BODY-CONTENT (width: 490px)
     GALLERY (width: 452px)
          CONTAINER (width: 500px)
               ITEM (width: 150px)
From this I can deduce that:
GALLERY will fit inside BODY-CONTENT
CONTAINER will NOT fit inside GALLERY or BODY-CONTENT
ITEM will fit three times into CONTAINER
To start with, I would reduce the size of the CONTAINER so that it fits inside of its parent. Then I would adjust the width of the ITEM so that only two of them fit inside of the CONTAINER.

I get a "vi is not executable" error when building an application.

I have an ongoing project that has worked fine in the past when building an application. I have recently added some report generation toolkit vis(Excel) and get an error for some of the ni vis and some of my own that call lower level excel vis. The error is that he vi is not executable, however they run fine in the development environment. I do not get this error if I save all vi's into one llb with save with options command and then build. However, when I try to run the app, this error re-appears. Also, do I have to add the dynamically loaded vi's that are part of the toolkit in my build script? Could this be the cause of the problem? If so, what's the best way to find all of them? Any suggestions?

You have hit in on the nail! You do need to add the dynamically loaded VIs when you are creating an executable from your VI. You need to add _wordsub.lib and _exclsub.lib as dynamically loaded VIs into your executable. Try this and let us know if you have any more problems with it.

Error 1073 (on Clear Errors.vi) When Building Application in LV 8.2

I have seen numerous posts about this problem when building an application without a block diagram in LV 7.x, however, I am recieving this error on LV 8.2. Whats most disturbing about it, is that it always hangs when processing Clear Errors.vi. I have tried my source on two different machines, to no avail. Also I tried to do a mass recompile of the entire vi.lib again no help. It is very important that this program compiles, however I cannot get past this error. Any suggestions?

I am sorry for not elaborating previously. This issue has been documented previously for further investigation to our R&D group (# 3ZK9LGP2). In the report I found that this error, though vague in the description, is fixed by enabling MathScript Support.
To enable MathScript support, check the checkbox in the application properties for the 'Enable MathScript support' option.

CR XI - Problem Setting Line Graph colors in the Chart Expert

I created a Crystal Report (CR) of an existing Trend Analysis report. I have created a VB6 application that calls the .RPT file I created for the report in CR. The VB6 app sets the report recordset via code that corrsponds to the .TTX file, and the parameters . The report contains a Line graph that plots five pieces of data. The report & graph work good. CR determines the color of each line on the graph. However, I need to set the color for each line to correspond to the colors used on our existing reports. The users are accustom to a certain color representing a certain set of data on the existing reports.   I have tried everything I can think of and from all documentation I can find, and nothing changes the line colors.   I have tried all of the following:
1.) From the Chart Expert, Option tab, I click the Format button next to Color and setup conditional color settings per each piece of data.   However, when I run the report these conditional color settings are not reflected on the CR graph.     I am using formula fields (based off database fields in the recordset) to produce the report. However, I only see the database fields to use in the conditional color formatting screen and not the formula fields.    I thought this would possibly be the cause why the colors wonu2019t change on the CR, but I canu2019t find a way to make the formula fields show up in the list.
2.)Also, I tried right clicking the individual lines of the graph and change the selected item color, but this didnu2019t change the color either. I do this in Design mode and Preview mode and neither one changes the color of the lines on the graph.
3.)I have also looked into the CR object model to see if I can change the line colors of the graph via code and it doesn't look like I am given this flexibility.
Do you know what I am doing wrong here?   I just want to be able to set the color of each line on the CR graph to the color I want instead of using the default colors.

I got the problem fixed w/ the line graph not making the data lines the same color on the report as on the frmPlot graph.   Compare the two screen shots below.   The problem was as follows: When I created the graph (in the Chart Expert) the field u201CReadingDateu201D was not one of the Report Fields, and all the other fields were Report Fields (Reading, LowAlarm, UpperAlarm, LowerLimit, & UpperLimit). See the 3rd screen shot below. ReadingDate does show up as a Report Field now but it wasnu2019t at first.   Originally, this field was only available in the Chart Expert as a recordset field. When I changed this field to be a Report Field, the graph then allowed me to change the data series line colors.   This was not obvious at all.   From the beginning when I setup the graph and passed in the recordset from VB it graphed all of the data series fine.   The colors that the Chart Expert chose for each line just didnu2019t match what was on the frmPlot graph.   Anyway, it is working now.     I can at least say I learned (somethingu2019s to-do and somethingu2019s not to-do) a good bit about Crystal Reports in the process.

i am getting problem in displaying image when i initialize directly the image is printing but when i am getting values from database and storing in the arrays the image is not displaying

i need both graph and chart.
graph to show plot after taking reading.
chart to show the reading continousely.
My problem is on both graph and chart,
Graph showing x axis only from 0 to 1. ( But i want o to 10 atleast)
Chart showing some other value as shown in screen shot-1 ( But i want it start from 0,1,2,3... like that)
(I found something by myself. When i change samples to read as 10 k and rate as 1k in usb 6009 daq, i am getting graph from 1 to 10.
But chart is as like previous one - refer screen shot- 2; But chart is not updating properly in realtime. Is there any other method, to show graph between 0 to 10 without changing samples and rate.)
In simple, my chart should show x axis starts from o . This is what i exactly want.
( This problem will come only when i connect labview with usb 6009 DAQ. If i use simulate signal option everything goes fine.
I hope you will help me this time. Bcz i am trying this for last one week. But i cant find any solution till now

Alignment problem on abap report after Unicode conversion

Hi,
I've recently convert my system to unicode. Now my user is complaining the aged debtor report (ABAP) is having a column alignment problem when displaying the Japanese character.
I'm not sure what to do now. Have anyone experience this and let me know how can I sove the problem?

All of a sudden only 4x and 8 x write speeds are available when building DVD

I have been using Encore successfully for several months to burn my indie film onto DVD for grant proposals . I found if I used a 1x write speed my DVDs played on most DVD players and computers.
As of yesterday all of a sudden and for no reason (I made no chances to my computer that day) the only write speeds available to choose from when building a DVD were 4x and 8X and when I burn a DVD at these speeds it does not play well enough to watch.
I rebooted my computer and even tried restored my computer to the states it was in a few days ago but nothing worked...in terms of getting back the broader choice of write speeds.
I called adobe Technical support and they said that I would need to pay for support to fix the problem...does any one know how I can fix this without having to pay adobe lots of money for tech support

a) The drive's lifecycle counter has kicked in. If so, it would prevent non-optimal software-controlled modes and only allow burning at its native speeds to extend life expectancy.
b) Some other tool that accessed the disc drive and reset its config data.
c) Windows itself has for some reason initiated a new hardware detection and reset driver config.
In any case, it would seem that you will have to re-initialize manually. Remove the drive from your device manager and have Windows scan for new hardware. Do so with admin privileges. Windows should automatically re-install the required drivers, but with default settings. Also check this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060. even though Encore doesn't give any error, the case listed under 1) may apply - if the driver is not installed correctly, it would report incorrect burn speeds.

Problems using Vector in Flex Builder 3

I've been using Vector with no problems in Flash Builder Beta, but when I try the same thing in Flex Builder 3, the compiler throws a fit when I use it.

The other strange thing is, Flex automatically adds this line when I use vector:
import __AS3__.vec.Vector;
An import shouldn't be necessary should it? Vector is in the top level package right? With or without that import statement, I get compile errors. Has anyone else had such problems with vector in Flex Builder?

The only way I was ever able to solve this problem was to use Flex builder Beta and now Flash Builder 4. I did target flash player 10.0.0, but I still never could get it to work. At least it works in Flash Builder 4.

Thread concurrency problem - how to know when thread is dead?

My applet uses a thread to draw an iteration graph step by step.
The user as the option of pressing two buttons:
- PLAY button - iteration Points are stored in an arrayList and drawn step by step (a sleeping time follows each step) (drawIterations thread)
- TO_END button - iteration Points are all stored in the arrayList (swingworker thread) and after all of them have been stored the graph is drawn instantly.
I have problems in this situation:
When executing the PLAY-button thread, if the user presses TO_END button, the remaining graph lines should draw instantly. Sometimes I get more points on the graph than I should. It seems that the PLAY thread, which I stop when TO_END buton is pressed, still remains storing new points into the arrayList concurrently to the new thread created after TO_END button was pressed .
Any ideas?

Ora-00922 when building a model with Oracle Data Miner

Hi,
i'm using Oracle Data Miner 10.1.0.2 with Database 10.1.0.3.0 under Linux x86.
The specific patch 10.1.0.3.1 for Data Mining was applied because i didn't manage to execute the models in the tutorial.
So all were fine, and i succeded creating my own models and i executed them.
But few months later, i.e now, i'm trying to build som other models but when building i have again the ora - 00922 : missing or invalid option
I tried applying once again the patch but no effect !
Is anyone ever faced this problem !?

the database were not upgraded but used to build some ETL mappings.

For example, which version of LabVIEW did you upgrade from? Did you modify any of your code? Are you having problems building ANY installers or just a single application?
Original installed version: NI Developer Suite 2010 DS2
Code is unmodified
Application Builder Error occurs from any project.
Currently configured installers cannot be built either. When build configuration is viewed the additional installers section is empty.
I am currently working with an NI Applications Engineer to resolve the issue.

From my team of 6 the 3 that have upgraded have the same issue.
