Allow Ex Directory Number

I have blocked all withheld numbers due to the constant cold calls. However, my sister-in-law is ex directory and she cannot phone us. Is there any way that I can allow her (and only her) to get through without cancelling my blocking service?

Ask her to prefix your number with 1470, then she will get through. Some phones allow you to store the prefix with the number, to save having to dial it manually.
Ther is no need to cancel your blocking service, you can turn it on and off yourself if needed.

  • Receiving calls from an ex-directory number

    Hi there,
A friend of mine has an ex-directory number. Every time she tries to ring my land line she is unable to get phone to ring. Any body any ideas. I've tried referencing ex-directory, call barring etc. but no luck.

    Hi and welcome
Do you have trouble receiving calls from other people or is it just this one person?
Do they have any troubles calling anyone else?
It is possible that if the other person is with another line provider (sky?) there are known problems that will not allow certain numbers to be rung between different suppliers.

  • Looking for and SQL query to match CTI OS agent login ID with the Directory Number (instrument)

    Hi All,
I am looking for an SQL query to request the HDS database to find out which Directory Number / instrument  was associated with a specific CTI OS agent login ID.
Has anyone done such a query before ?
    Thanks and Regards
    Nick

    Hi,
this should work in 8.0 and 8.5:
    SELECT
    ag.PeripheralNumber AS [LoginID],
    al.Extension,
    al.LogoutDateTime
    FROM [instance]_hds.dbo.Agent_Logout al
    JOIN [instance]_awdb.dbo.Agent ag ON al.SkillTargetID = ag.SkillTargetID
Of course, replace [instance] with the ICM instance.
The query returns a table with three columns, first is the login ID aka PeripheralNumber, Extension is... well, the agent's extension, and LogoutDateTime is the timestamp when the agent logged out.

  • Lync 2010 phone not available when users have two Directory Number Associations in CUCM

    Hello everyone,
We currently have a little issue with our LYNC 2010 to Cisco UC Integration (CUCM 8.5.1), I’m wondering if someone can shed some light please.
There are some users in our organisation having two Directory Number Associations in CUCM (Primary Extension for work number and IPCC Extension for team number), which result them not be able to dial out from Lync. For these users, it appears the Cisco phone
    is not available in Lync.
I tried to disable the team number from them, and after reboot, the Cisco phone came back available and dialing out from Lync was enabled.
Is there any workaround for this issue? Thank you in advance.
    Shawn

As far as Lync concern lync only do a number translation and send the call to cisco for reaching the destination. So you have to check how the call split is configured for users with respect to the team number and Extension. So in this case you need to have
2 different dial pattern to cisco based on how they accept the calls.
One pattern will translate the Primary extension number to the format cisco accept
Second pattern to translate the Team extension number to the format cisco accept.

Is there any form that I can accomplish the task in a massive form? May be doing a query or uploading a CSV file??
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Carlo,
I've tried your steps, but when I search for the extensions to modify, the checkbox doesn´t appear near of the result of any extension
the option just show me the extension list an some other information but not anymore.

  • Assigning authorization code to a directory number

    Hello,
I have a challenge and i will like your assistance.
I have been aske to assign the individual force authorization code to the users' directory number, how possible is it? If possible how can it be done. I have a the CUCM version 7.1.5.....
    Thanks and regards

FACs are forced on route patterns and not DNs. FACs are the build individually and not assigned to specific user and anyone who knows them can use them. What is the purpose for assigning them to DNs?

    Hi,
Even I am facing the same issue while trying to open session in my C# code.
I have created and using one System.Management.Automation.Runspaces.Runspace object. Which is created by calling Open() method.
At the end while exiting the program I am calling Dispose() method.
Initially when I wrote this client, I was able to run powershell commands without any issue. After some days of use I got this below exception.
    Result Message: Assembly Initialization method
InitializeLyncTestSuite threw exception. System.Management.Automation.Remoting.PSRemotingTransportException: System.Management.Automation.Remoting.PSRemotingTransportException: Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : The WS-Management

       at System.Management.Automation.Runspaces.RunspacePool.Open()
       at System.Management.Automation.RemoteRunspace.Open()
After restarting all the Lync Server services I was able to avoid this exception. But after using this client couple of times now, I am facing the same issue again.
Does calling Dispose() method is not enough for closing a session from C# code? Or should I use something else to close session from C# client?

  • WM movement type 255 not allowed for warehouse number 008

    Hi,
Error message "WM movement type 255 not allowed for warehouse number 008" pops up during creation of outbound delivery. I checked the schedule line for this sales order, it was actually tagged to movement type 631 instead of 255. There ain't any movement type 255 at all. How to solve this?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Check in Customizing for Define Movement Types where for the given warehouse number movement type 255 is assigned.
    Path is,
Logistics Execution - Activities - Transfers - Define Movement Types.
Check for 008 Movement 255 is assigned or not.

  • Directory Number

    Hello,
I have 2 questions below please reply.
I have seen a setup where the directory number are assigned as starting with " * "  *5234, *5123,*5432 , why that so ???
CUCM 6.1 is integrated with AD, when i search a user in corporate directory his full number is seen 22221234 but when i press dial button the calls go to last 3 digit extension, how come ????
    Thanks

    Dear
" so that users wouldn't be able to accidentally dial it or something like that" accidentally dial it means can you elaborate more.
For your second question you may have a Translation Pattern or Transformation Pattern, changing the dialed number or appearance of the dialed number.
there are no transformation number but there are translation number but i am not sure they are doing these job , i will confirm and i will post again.
    Thanks

  • Cisco Unified CM Telephony Trigger Directory number

Hello, is it possible to set Cisco Unified CM Telephony Trigger directory number within UCCX with wildcards, for e.g 3XX and all numbers matching that number, execute connected application. Or is there any other way to execute UCCX application for a range of directory numbers?
What I want to achieve is that, I want to control all outbound calls starting with dedicated prefix with UCCX application.
    Thanks

I have used wild card on several ocassions, and get flaky results 50% of the time.  I then end up breaking the triggers apart and specifying each one separately.
From what I recall reading, the latest versions of CUCM actually have a parameter now, that enables this feature.  You didn't say what version of UCCX and CUCM you are running, so it's possible you need to flip this switch to ON.

  • Directory Number Issue

I have setup a 7941 IP phone and I have two lines. The first DN works fine and is able to dial and receive both internal and external calls but the second one can only receive internal calls
Any ideas what might be causing the second DN not to receive External calls?

    Hi Alistair,
    Then maybe we could use this method to completely remove this second DN before trying again. Remove this DN from all phones first;
    Can you please try this method via the Route Plan Report;
    Deleting Unassigned Directory Numbers
This section describes how to delete an unassigned directory number from the route plan report. Directory numbers get configured and removed in the Directory Number Configuration window of Cisco CallManager Administration. When a directory number gets removed from a device or a phone gets deleted, the directory number still exists in the Cisco CallManager database. To delete the directory number from the database, use the Route Plan Report window.
    Procedure
Step 1 Choose Route Plan > Route Plan Report.
The Route Plan Report window displays. Use the three drop-down list boxes to specify a route plan report that lists all unassigned DNs.
Step 2 Three ways exist to delete directory numbers:
    a. Click the directory number that you want to delete. When the Directory Number Configuration window displays, click Delete.
    b. Check the check box next to the directory number that you want to delete. Click Delete Selected.
    c. To delete all found unassigned directory numbers, click Delete all Found Items.
A warning message verifies that you want to delete the directory number.
Step 3 To delete the directory number, click OK. To cancel the delete request, click Cancel.

  • Document Directory 'Number of Times Accessed' count

Not really an api question, but i couldnt find anything else that matched better...
Is the process that updates the Number of Times Accessed count a batch process and if so, how often does it run?
The reason i ask is that i have some docs in my directory whose count is remaining zero, even after I have accessed them, whilst others whose count is increasing over time quite happily.
Does anyone have any ideas why this might be the case?
    thans

No, I think what's going on is that rather than update the counter every time a user clicks through, we use a randomized algorithm where there's a 1 in N chance that the portal will add N to the count. For example if N is 5 and you open a document 5 times you would expect to see the counter behave something like: 0 0 0 5 5
This means there's a margin of error (think opinion polls) but the margin decreases as the count increases, so you might know a given document has been accessed 12,450 times with a 5% margin of error. The benefit is that we reduce the load on the database for this particular SQL update by a factor of N. I believe there's a setting somewhere to modify N if you need more accuracte counts, in fact you can set it to 1 if you need a precise count.

  • Mask a directory number

    Hello,
I need to mask calls from a call center agent, I have done it through a new partition and a route pattern. Now it is ok, is showing the masked number.
Now the manager asked me to show the agent name and the masked number.
    How can I do it?

I am a little confused. I am assuming your agent phone is a Cisco IP phone leveraging UCCX and that you are trying to call another non-agent Cisco IP phone. If this is the case, then you wouldn't be using a route pattern but a translation pattern.
On the agent phone line/extension, go to the configuration section that says "Line on Device SEPyyyyyyyyyyyy". Modify the Display (Internal Caller ID) and ASCII Display to the name you want to present.
Go to the translation pattern and check to see if you are restricting calling name presentation. This parameter is located under "Calling Party Transformations" and is called "Calling Name Presentation". This is usually set to Default, which should work. You can set it to Allow to test.
While I don't think calling name display is affected by this parameter, you could also check device configurations of the target (destination) phone to see if "Ignore Presentation Indicators (internal calls only)" is checked. It shouldn't be by default, if it is test your calls by unchecking this option.
    HTH.

    Bill
