Alphabetize A Matrix Of Words

hey, i have a matrix with a different word ( string ) in each cell. I need those to come out in alphabetical order and i cant think of a way how. Any help? Thanks
Example:
Matrix:
{jon,abby,a
,dave,brian,largo};
and i want it to print
"a abby brian dave jon largo"
I dont need to change the matrix, i just need to get the information out in alphabetical order.

This is part of a really big program that i am not
using array lists for. Is there any other way to do
it with matricies or do i have to go back and convert
everything to arraylists. If thats the case than ill
just take the hit of some points because thats gonna
take forever. I am done with the whole program and
this is the only thing left to do.You don't have to change the matrices, you're just using the ArrayList to do the sorting for you. Step 1 was copying the values from the matrix into the List; the matrix is unchanged. If all you want to do is print them out alphabatized, then trash the List afterwards. If you want to keep them in sorted order, then hang onto the List. If you want to put them back into the matrix in sorted order, then you'll have to decide how to do that.

Printing booklet in duplex on 6500a+ printer with the following print settings is not working. I have no problem printing this same booklet duplex on the 6500 base printer.
The problem wasn't the 6500a+, it was MS Word 2007. With MS Word 2010, it printed the booklet in duplex just fine. Here's the matrix:

Embed Video in Word Acrobat 9

Okay, I've lloked at seom of the forum post, but could not find an answer. Here's my dilemna. We have a full license of Acrobat 9 Pro. When using Word, I try to embed a video via the Embed Video option in the Acrobat tab. However, that option is not avaiolabel. Insearching teh forums and internet, I found that Actobat 9 Pro Extended has that option. I downloaded a trial. While installing, it told me that I hasd a higher version of Acrobat 9 (Pro). So here are myu questions:
Is Pro better thatn Extended?
Is the Embed Video option availbale in Word with Acrobat 9?
If Embed Video options is not availabel, is there an add-in or plug-in to do this w/ Acrobat 9 Pro installed?

Urgent HELP required on forming the Matrix of data using PL/SQL

Hi All,
I'm new to this thread and require your urgent help in this regard.
I've got a requirement for building a 5000 X 5000 matrix using PL/SQL. My original data tables have 5000 rows each and I need to do a correlation analysis using this data and need to store in a physical table and not in-memory. Is this feat achievable using mere PL/SQL? I understand that Oracle DB has a limitation of 1000 columns(but not sure) and hence I'd like to know whether there is any work-around for such scenarios. If not, what are the other alternative method(s) to achieve this feat? Do I need to use any 3rd party tools to get this done? An early reply from the experts is highly appreciated.

I'll get to your quesiton in a moment, but first some welcome information. Many OTN posters consider it impolite to mark threads as "urgent". We are volunteers and have jobs of our own to do without people we don't know making demands. You are brand new and deserve some patience but please understand this. It is very likely before I finish this post someone will complain about the word "urgent" in your subject.
On to more interesting things :)
You can do the matrix, but are out of luck with a 5000 x 5000 table because Oracle only allows 1000 columns per table. There are ways to work around this.
How do do the matrix depends on what you want to do. You can do this different ways. You can create a table beforehand and use PL/SQL or simple SQL to populate it, or use the CREATE TABLE AS syntax to create and populate it in one step if you can get the underlying SQL to work the way you want, something like
create table my_table as
select a.*, b.*
from table1 a, table2 bcan populate a matrix from 2 tables with an intentional cartesian join (the WHERE clause was left out intentionally, provided your data is already in the data base.
If not you can use a PL/SQL routine to populate the data.
There are a couple of ways to solve the 1000 column limit. The easiest way might be to have 5 collections of 1000 columns each. A more complicated but more elegant soltion would be to have nested collections, allowing 2 colliections that you can loop through - a collection of collections. Nested collections can be hard to work with. A third way would be to use nested tables in the database but I personally do not like them and the insert, update, and delete statements for nested tables are hard to use.
I'm not going to give a code example because I am not sure which solution is best for you. If you have further questions post them.

Oracle Matrix Report output to XML Publisher

We have an Oracle matrix report (rdf) registered in our applications and we are trying to format the report output using XML publisher.
I have taken XML output of the report by changing the Report output to XML in concurrent program definition. Using this XML output we have started designing the RTF template using Template Builder for Word 5.6.2.
I am not able to get the MAtrix output in XML publisher. I am not sure how to design a Matrix Report using Template builder for word. I am not sure whether the XML output of Original Report has Tags mentioning Matrix report attributes or Not.
Can anyone help me by explaining how to design a Matrix Report template using XML report output. Appreicate your help.

This issue is really becoming a problem for us. Does anyone have any examples of label templates. The label when generated automatically converts from pontrait to landscape. If you increase the size of the template then word complains about the page and margin size before printing.

How do I create a check-box matrix question using Acrobat XI Pro?

I would like to insert a question that is a 10 x 10 matrix that allows respondents to select multiple boxes in each row. For example, the "add item > rating scale" feature formats a matrix the way I would like, although it only seems to allow for radio buttons. With this feature, respondents can only select one item per row. Is there any way to use this feature with check-boxes rather than radio buttons? Or a different feature to create a matrix that allows for multiple selections per row?

I created a 30 page Form in Microsoft Word with 20 to 30 check boxes on each page using the Zapf Dingbats Font.
When I used Acrobat XI Pro to automatically convert the form it fails to create usable check boxes.
It worked properly about 3 times on test pages but it will not do it again.
Manually inserting check boxes one by one on 30 pages is mind numbing to say the least.
Why doesn't the software work properly anymore?

Page level total in a mulipage matrix report

I am facing a problem in marix reports because a very late change in customer requirement.he wants a page total at the end of every page in the report ,because these reports are matrix style,they involve cross product.i can get the grand total at the end of the report because the summary column works well at report level,but when i try to reset it at page level,at times it shows blank or generates an error that matrix report fetches everthing at report level and cannot generate results at page level.but now how do i get these page totals without changing these matrix reports.Plz reply ASAP

Looking for a keyboard/matrix mapping utility

I am designing my own keyboard and I need an application to tell me which keys do what. A word processing program only tells me which number or letter key I am pressing; I need one that tells me which Command, or Control, or Option, or Esc. key I am pressing, as well. I have hunted online for a few hours now, but for the five million instances Google will return, what terms do I use? Key? keyboard? Map? Matrix? For all I know, there may be a mini-app for seeing which key does what-already built into the OS X system. Or in the X11 package. Nobody told me about it. Is there a shareware program that will do it?

The standard tool for making a custom keyboard mapping is Ukelele:

However, this is only for customizing characters (not functions) made with normal, shift, option, and shift+option.

Deleting row from a table binded to a matrix

Hi all
i have a form with a matrix binded to a user table which is handled as a Master Data lines by UDO.
i want to enable deleting lines from the table by selecting a row in the matrix and clicking a delete button.
currently i'm handling the click event by usint the method DeletRow of the matrix object.
when i press the Update button (UID = "1"). the fact that a row was deleted from the matrix does not affect the bounded table.
my question is how in code can i cause the deletion of a row from the matrix to also be deleted from the database table?

flushToDatasource make the following:
Flushes current data from the GUI to the bounded data source using the following process:
1)Cleans the data source.
2)Copies each row from the matrix to the corresponding data source record.
In other words: This method load data from Matrix to DataSource (but not to database)
the next step is update database from userdatasource

Using JSP/Servlet to write Word Document to BLOB

there are multiple documents out there, describing the oracle reports server setup. try doc.oracle.com for documentation.
also it is part of the online-documentation.
you need to install 9iAS enterprise edition. the server is pre-configured and will listen to the url http://yourserver/dev60cgi/rwcgi60.exe
passing only this url you will get a help-screen, describing the syntax.

Problem with custom paper size on dot matrix printer

Hi All,
I'm using CR2008 with updated to SP2. I have a problem with custom paper size (W=21; H=14), the CR Viewer show report with custom paper size correctly but when I print it to a dot matrix printer (Epson LQ 300+) the content was rotated to landscape. If print to a laser printer the content was printed correctly. My report was printed correctly by CR10 or previous versions I got this issue when upgraded to CR2008. I aslo tested my computer and printer with orther application like MS Word the printing have no problem with custom paper size.

Looking at the Epson LQ 300+ driver, I see that the latest update is from 2002. In my experience, most matrix printer drivers are not unicode. Crystal Reports is designed to only work with unicode printer drivers. See the [How Printer Driver Options Affect a Report|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/index?rid=/library/uuid/a09051e9-721e-2b10-11b6-f9c65c64ef29&overridelayout=true] article, page 6 for details. Finally, see if you can print from the CR designer to this printer and if you get the correct results here.

Stop rolling the the paper out in dot matrix priner once the print is done

I have used the below code to print a document and the printer used is dot matrix But,it rolls out the page once the print is done.
I want to control the printer so that it stops rolling out the page once the print is done. Or set the print based on the paper size and stop rolling the paper.

Keep an eye out because this thread may be moved to another forum.
I think Word will "throw" the page at end.
You could check the advice here:

See if you have an unwanted page break or something like an outsized table which is making it think it needs to print more.
