Ame_attributes and ame rules

How to find out the ame rule for a given ame_attribute name?
Thank You.
KK

The attributes are referenced in conditions and the attribute name automatically gets included in the condition name (e.g. ATTRIBUITE1 IN 'ABC')
If you go to the conditions tab on the AME Business Analyst workbench, and search for your attribute, there is then an expandable region called 'Show rules using this condition'.
This may help you!

  • Urgent Help required on Manager Self Service HR AME Rules

    Hi,
I am implementing R12 Manager Self Service and creating custom AME rules for routing approvals. Can anyone tell me the steps to create rule for:
    1. Change Job in job KFF (What query? Which attribute?)
    2. Change Job Title (ass_attribute2 under assignment DFF)
    3. Change in Organization field
Also, I have created rule for Leave of Absence. But upon approval, employee's status still showing active for that duration. How to link it with absence approval? This is standalone HR with no Oracle Payroll.
This is very urgent so any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Mayur.

Can u please elaborate your leave of Absence requirement

  • Setup R12 AME Rules for Internet Expenses

    Hi,
Currently we are in R12 and are using workflow for approval routing of Internet Expense. As requirement change, we would like to change to use AME rule. Thus, I have carried out a simple test by setting up the following:
    1. Profile Option: AME: Installed
Set to 'Yes' for Payables module
    2. Create condition
    EXPENSE_TYPE in (Stationery)
    3. Create Action Types
    post-chain-of-authority approvals
    Require post-approval from AP_EXP_APPROVAL
    4. Approver Groups
    Dynamic
    select 'person_id:'||35925 from dual
    5. Create Rules
If EXPENSE_TYPE in (Stationery) then Require post-approval from MASAP_EXP_APPROVAL
However, during testing, the expense report is approved automatically without routing to the approval according to AME rules
Appreciate any hints on this issue or advise on the steps to setup AME rules for Internet Expense.
    Regards,
    SC

    Hi,
Thank you for the link. I have read the guide.
What I was hoping for was an example of how it was used, and if anyone has managed to configure, without customizing the workflow, anything similar to what I need to do.
Any other information would be useful.
    Thanks

  • Business Events related to AME Rules in iRecruitment

    Hello all,
We have a Seeded AME rule and want to know which business event is firing that rule. Is it possible to find this out? The reason i want to know is we have a seeded rule called "Apply For Job - Manager Rule" which is related to iRecruitment. I want to know when this rule is fired. I tried so many ways to find out but couldn't.
    Thanks
    KK

That means you want to know the condition on when this rule will be fired.
So, search for the rule see if the Update icon is enabled. If enabled click on it there you can see the conditions.
If update icon is not enabled, then on top you can see Conditions tab. Click on that.
Conditions are based on the AME Attributes. There is one more attribute tab to see the definition of the tab.

  • AME rule for SIT transaction with multiple rows

We have a SIT function enabled through Employee Self-Service. We have personalized it to only show a single SIT called Employee Claims
Employees can login and request for claims using the SIT.
We have an AME rule based on the 1st segment of the SIT which is called Claim Type which can have Food, Hotel, Transport etc.
Based on the Claim Type selected, the AME approval is different.
Now an employee can add 2 or more rows in the same SIT transaction and enter 1 row for Food, 2 rows for Transport and 1 row for Hotel.
How do I handle this situation. I have an AME Attribute which fetches the claim type and based on that different AME rules are invoked.
Lets assume that we have the following approval rules -
Food - 1 level of approval
Hotel - 2 level of approval
Transport - 3 level of approval
If the employee enters multiple rows having multiple claim types, how can this be handled.
    Any suggestion?

If the employee creates 3 rows in the same transaction, one for food, one for hotel and one for transport, it gets created as 3 steps in the same transaction.
But i only have one attribute to hold the type.
This is my problem. This is where my ame rule is falling currently in production.
The attribute query throws an exception and the value gets set to null

I figured out a way to do this ....do all the custom related checks in the approval code rather than in conditions ...to keep it simple.

  • Open Interface for Approved Supplier Lists and Sourcing Rules

    Hi All,
Is there an open interface or an API available for Appeoved Supplier Lists and Sourcing Rules.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi sandeep,
I prefer to use the API mentioned.
However this is in Oracle Manufactirung and we dont use that module instead I want to define them in Oracle Purchasing.
can I still do it in Purchasing using the same API.
Further as per the document there are 3 entities
    01) Sourcing Rule/Bill of Distribution
    02) Receiving Organization
    03) Shipping Organization
Do I need to define all 3 in order to make it work?

  • Mail - Forwarding attachments manually and with rules - how do I keep my attachments?

I have the latest updates of Lion on by MacBookPro (late 2010 model). I use mail to receive mail from my business account (Exchange account) and my personal account (IMAP account). Up until this summer, everything was working peachy with the system. I have multiple folders in my accounts and many rules to sort the mail and some that automatically forward mail messages to other people in my office who are also on exchange server.
Since this summer, we really noticed in August, we have noticed that the attachements are sometimes missing from emails I send out either automatically through rules (attachements never appear in the emails on the receiver's end) or manually, sometimes they receive, sometimes they don't (most of the times, but not always, when they don't work, it is a pdf in attachement, although it has happened on occasion with docs and jpgs or other graphics files). The bizarre thing is that on occasion a receiver replies to my email telling me there is no attachement, and although the email I receive doesn't show a paperclip, the attachament is actually embedded in the email!
If I write a new mail, and manually add an attachement, it seems to work.
My IT guy, who runs the exchange server says that it is bizarre because he can see the attachement in my email, but when it is delivered it disappears, but if he opens it at the server, it reappears. He has made all the latest updates and has trolled the support sites, but has found no solution.
I receive a newsletter everyday, which is a rather large 8-10 Mb pdf. My rule tells it to automatically forward to the receptionnist so that she can send it out to her mailing list. The message I receive always has the attachment, but in the forwarded message the attachment dissappears. In this case, when I look at message in my sent mail folder - there is no attachment.  I tried using re-direct instead of forward as a rule and it still did the same thing...
I guess I want to know if anyone is experiencing the same issue, and if anyone has any other solutions to make forwarding work better.
P.S. When I use the IMAP account, the forwarding doesn't seem to be a problem, however I can't figure out how I could run a rule for an email I receive on my exchange account so that it forwards via my IMAP account. Also this would not be ideal, as then all my business contacts would get mail from my personal account...
Thanks for any help you could provide.

  • Error in Asset Accounting Specify Intervals and Postings Rules

    Hi,
I am configuring for Asset Accounting and when I go to this part:
Asset Accounting > Integration with the General Ledger > Post Depreciation to the General Ledger > Specify Intervals and Postings Rules
I get the error "Company code XXXX is not defined" (message no. AC519).
The company code specified in the error was deleted in the system before. I am thinking that there is a table where this company code is not yet deleted. How can I solve this? Thanks a lot.

  • BPM process and BRM rules process in same development component in NWDS

    Hi All,
Is it possible to create the BPM process and BRM rules process in the same development component in NWDS?
I tried but whenever we create it,say, first ly for BPM,that is File-New-Project-Development Component-Process Composer
While once this development component is created I try to create rules composer in the same composer by right clicking on local development component as well as process composer but ther is no option of creating /calling rules composer/rules modeling.
Can you please guide me creating both BPM process and BRM rules composer/rules modeling in the same development component if its possible?
    Thanks in advance

Open your project explorer and expand the BPM project you have created. Locate a folder named "Rules" in the Project Tree. Right-click on the Rules folder and select 'Create new rule'. You can model your rules such as rule-scripts here and use it in the BPM.
Note: These rules cannot be used outside the BPM Project.

  • Premiere (and AME) will not export 23.98 DV NTSC properly

Half an hour of frustrated internet and message board searching have brought me no closer to a solution.  I'd be grateful for someone's help. I can't be the first person to have encountered this problem, but no one else seems to be talking about it.
I have HD footage that was shot at 23.976.  I've edited it in a 23.976 timeline, and when I export to Quicktime in its native codec (which is Cineform) or any other codec, at 23.976, I get a 23.976 file.  No problem.
But when I try to export DV/NTSC 24p, it SAYS it's going to export at 23.976, but then when I open up the resulting file, it's at 29.97 and there are extra interpolated frames added.  Same thing happens if I try to convert it after the fact with AME from a 23.976 HD export.
It's driving me apeshit.  I need a true 24p DV-NTSC quicktime for the sound mix, and I'm at a total loss for how to create one, short of switching (back) to FCP.
    So what gives?
    Details:
I'm on an iMac 21" running Premiere and AME CS6, thought I've tried it also in CC and get the same result.

I'm not trying to be difficult or contrary.  Honestly, I'm not.  And I'm not "unwilling to take the input from the other posters".  But so far none of the other posters have actually answered my question, and one of them got snippy with me when I pointed out why his solution was not valid for my particular problem.
People have suggested various reasons why it can't be done, but I know it can be done because I've done it.  And I've posted the evidence.  The Quicktime in the picture above plays fine out of the firewire DV port. It imports properly into Pro Tools at the proper frame rate, while maintaining the proper timecode.  This particular example doesn't have timecode burned into the video, but on ones that do, a pulldown to 29.97 means that I no longer get frame-accurate timecode on the video.  It also means that the sync pops can drift half a frame because they are now in 29.97instead of 23.976.  It means that I can't import the video into a Pro Tools project that already has a 23.98 video in it, since Pro Tools won't let you mix frame rates.  It also means that I can't do my sound editing with frame-accurate video, which is unacceptable.  So this is not a solution to my problem.
Others have suggested that I just use a different codec.  That's not a solution to my problem either, since I need it to be DV/DVCPRO.  I didn't invent Pro Tools and I have no control over what formats it will accept for firewire output.  So that's also not a solution to the problem.
To everyone who has answered so far, thank you for your input.  I appreciate it.  I'd be really grateful if anyone could chime in with an  answer to my original question: How do I create a standard definition DVCPRO 24p Quicktime in Adobe?  Maybe the answer is that "Adobe doesn't have this functionality".  But that's a different answer than "It can't be done, period."

  • Mapping and transformation rules

    Hi experts,
pls tell  me what is this mapping and transformation rules in context wz filw to RFC scenario.
what do u mean by transformation and transformation rules.
    Thanks
    veeru

    Hi
Mapping and Transformation both are same,to understand clearly we go for transformation.
Generally we go for Mapping/Transformation when ever you want to change the source structure into required format of the target structure we gor for mapping ie. Transforming the one structure to another.
    Ex:
    Source Structure:
    Fname
    Lname
    Empid
    Fname------>CONCATE   theswe togetherly gives Name.
    Lname------->CONCATE
    My required Target Structure is:
Name(So to get Name we will use the CONCATE preefined functon under Graphical Mapping in Mapping Editor )
    Empid
    Thanks

  • Is it necessary to create matching INBOUND and OUTBOUND rules?

RV220W - I'm trying to create a one-to-one NAT connection to a PC on my network. I have 5 static IP's assigned by my ISP. I've gone through the step of 'registering' each IP in turn on the WAN port, and pinging that IP from an external device until it starts to respond, then I set the WAN IP back to the one I want to use to manage the device.
I think what I want to do is simple. I simply want to NAT ALL traffic hitting my 2nd IP address, let's call it 24.15.120.73 (not the real value) to 192.168.1.10 internally. I want ALL ports both UDP and TCP to be forwarded. This Server is then going to be one end of a VPN tunnel going to another site, but I don't want to complicate things with that for now.
So I can't even seem to get one-to-one NAT working!
I created the one-to-one NAT on the Advanced tab of the firewall and created rules for all ports for UDP and TCP, but I can still never 'see' the internal server from the Internet. Also, the server will not get out to the Internet (can't hit Google, etc).
I'm sorry if I'm not using the correct language, but I'm not a network pro. I have enough knowledge to make myself dangerous
Thank you for any help you can provide.
Also, if Cisco could provide Step by Step instruction guides on how to do various things, I think it would be a useful resource for your customers!
