Android: https fails with current 3.8 beta using URLStream
Hi,
i made a bug ticket https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3581906
Anybody also having the issue or does have a workaround?
HI, Tomas
may i give you an advise?
If you really want your app run stable . PLZ package with "captive runtime" .
In my experience. Adobe guys will change API Behavior ,change API ,change everything random except themself . Do you remember the ShareObject behavior changed at AIR3.5.
since they cann't be trusted , you should always embeded AIR runtime . for your users, for yourself ,especially for adobe .
For all of AS3 developer ,God ,please bless us.

Wanboot using s10u3 and http fails with error 416 with a small(ish) flar
Hi,
Using S10 u3 (11/06) to provision a wanboot server fails
with a 1.4Gb flash image -- output at foot. The flar is there,
perms 644, and I can open it in a web browser. The serverside
log in /tmp/bootlog.HOST gives the same information.
At OpenSolaris.org, this thread
http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=82856
mentions a known bug 6509337 s10s_u3 wanboot fails but
like another user of opensolaris, I cannot find that bug -- nor
does searching sunsolve for wanboot 416 give any hits.
Has anyone but the 3 folk at opensolaris and I seen this?

WebDav using https fails with network name cannot be found.
When I attempt to connect to a Webdav server from a Windows 8.1 box it fails with
System Error 67 has occurred.
The network name cannot be found.
I am using the net.exe USE command with the following syntax:
net.exe use Z: https://dav.DomainYaya.com/ <PASSWORD> /user:USERNAME
This exact syntax works for Windows 7.
I have more than one Windows 8.1 box where this fails.
There are various suggestions found all over the internet for various other situations. They do not apply or do not work.
For example, you will find an issue involving sending Basic authentication over http where there are suggestions about changing HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\WebClient\Parameters
That does not work. There is also discussion about the Webclient service. (it is running). One can find discussion of the redirector. (The SYS file is present and is installed with Windows 8+ anyway.)
Using HTTP only fails similarly but with error 53 (but I only did that as a test.) The issue is the HTTPS version.
I have BTW tried this with two different webdav servers.
Any help is appreciated.
JoeHi Joe,
Based on our research, the error 67 have the following several possable causes:
•IIS is not installed or is not running on the server that you are attempting to connect to.
•You have not installed the WebDAV Redirector on your client system.
•The WebClient service is not running on your client system.
•You have not enabled WebDAV on your web site.
•You are using Basic Authentication and connecting to your web site using HTTP instead of HTTPS.
•You are connecting to a web site on your local network that is using Fully-Qualified Domain Names (FQDNs) for name resolution, your web site uses Windows Authentication, and you have not added the web site's FQDN to the proxy server bypass list on your client.
For more information, please refer to the article as below:
Using the WebDAV Redirector
http://www.iis.net/learn/publish/using-webdav/using-the-webdav-redirector
According to the test, I am able to reproduce this issue in my lab. By default, the Webclient service is not running on windows 8.1 client. But for windows 7 client this service is running by default.
So please try to start the WebClient service on windows 8.1 client to check if it helps.

Exchange 2010 RPC over HTTPs failing with authentication error
Hi. I have my remote.xxx.co.uk domain and autodiscover.xxx.co.uk domain pointing to my SBS2011 server, have ports 25, 80, 443 open. The Microsoft Connectivity Analyzer fails with the below error.
Outlook will autodiscover happily on the local network, and works fine. Phones etc do too.
Outlook at a remote VPN connected site won't connect through autodiscover, but will if you do it manually (ignoring the RPC Proxy settings). Everything works for a while, but then I guess outlook decides to use autodiscover to complete all the connection
details, and then these machines can no longer connect to exchange as I guess they decide the speed is too slow and try to connect using RPC instead.
Users can access OWA happily, and activesync is working on phones etc.
SSL cert is a wildcard type on my domain, and certs are installed - all green and happy when visiting OWA on both remote.xxxxx.co.uk and autodiscover.xxxxx.co.uk domains.
I cannot work out why I have an authentication error for RPC?
Any advice would be great!

I tried to recreate the virtual directories in the Exchange Management Console, using the recreate links and via the shell, but while they were recreated, they did not function as they should due to issues in the meta database.
I then found the following which worked.
Looking at the ActiveSync virtual directories, when running the below command, the result showed the directory was there, so I then knew to delete it.
In EMS I ran,
=> Ran "$site = [ADSI]"IIS://localhost/W3SVC/1/Root/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync""
Result: Carriage return.
=> Ran "$site"
Result:
distinguishedName:
Path: {C:\Program Files\Microsoft\ExchangeServer\V14\Client Access\Sync}
In EMS I then ran,
=> Ran "$Site = [ADSI]"IIS://localhost/W3SVC/1/Root""
Result: Carriage return.
=> Ran "$site.Delete("IIsWebVirtualDir","Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync")"
Result: Carriage return.
=> Ran "$site.SetInfo()"
Result: Carriage return.
=> Ran "$site"
Result: Carriage return.
=> Ran "iisreset"
I then recreated the virtual directories.
In EMS I ran,
=> Ran "New-ActiveSyncVirtualDirectory -WebSiteName "Default Web Site""
Results: Successfully recreated.
=> Ran "iisreset"
I am not sure exactly, but I did this for multiple virtual directories, and everything came to life just as it should. -
HTTP Error with Status code 403 when using ABAP Server Proxies
Hi All,
I have been working on ABAP Client and Server proxies in my project. The weblogs by Ravikumar, Prateek Shah, Siva Maranani & VijayaKumari were very helpful and thank them all for just helpful and guiding postings.
Interfaces using Client proxies are working fine and have been tested successfully. But I'm facing bit problems with Server Proxies. The scenario is of File to SAP system via XI. Data is coming correct up to Technical routing in pipeline but at call adapter(for Server Proxy to SAP)in XI pipeline I receive Error:
HTTP response contains status code 403 with the description Business Server Page (BSP) Error Error when sending by HTTP (error code: 403, error text: Business Server Page (BSP) Error)
Previously I was receiving authentication and authorization related error of status code 401 and then in communication channel I replaced user profile with a user id having role SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER. The basis peron has created new user id with role SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER only and that I'm using. I've tried creating a HTTP destination with the created user id and in test connection too receive same error message.
Please help me out with your inputs and understanding on the topic.
Thanks and Best Regards

ITunes U cannot fetch HTTPS feeds with current generation of SSL certs
I've outlined this problem previously with no resolution, but given that public iTunes U sites are about to rely even more on feeds it's even more important that a solution be found.
Here's the summary of the unresolved thread http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=11012798
iTunes U will no longer update valid feeds from our LMS. Our LMS is entirely SSL/TLS and recently had its certificate updated. The DigiCert certificate and feed are working at https://lms.brocku.ca/podcasts/site/BuildaPodcast . However iTunes U sends an E-Mail to the owner once it is changed to this URL that reads:
"iTunes U could not update the content because iTunes U could not download the specified feed (https://lms.brocku.ca/podcasts/site/BuildaPodcast). Until the issue is resolved, iTunes U continues to display the last downloadable version of the content. Verify that the feed specified in the feed URL field and the resource are available, and then try again"
In the interim we've been fetching the exact same RSS feed and hosting it at http://ctlet.brocku.ca/~mclare/podcast/BuildaPodcast so that iTunes U can fetch it with out SSL/TLS - but we can not do this for all podcasts.
Older versions of the command line tools like cURL (and its library) and wget have a similar problem. In their situation their root certificates are not fully updated. Could this be the case for the iTunes U feed fetcher?
Thanks for looking into this.
.\.\attHi Mark,
Thanks, it is indeed now updating.
When I updated it yesterday (a little before 2:04 EST) I did not get the previous Error prompt - but I didn't know if that was an iTunes 9 change in interface or the problem being solved. I did get an E-Mail from iTunes U <[email protected]> subject "iTunes U unable to update Course page group Brock University > Brock Community > Sakai > Help for Instructors" - full E-Mail below.
I edited the feed/section again today (10:12 EST) and the status appears to indicate that it was updated. BUT, I again received this E-Mail:
E-Mail :"Dear iTunes U administrator, instructor, or course manager,
Your 'Sakai' course in your brocku.ca iTunes U site populates its 'Help for Instructors' group track list automatically from an RSS feed, based on the podcast RSS feed URL and details you specified. iTunes U encountered the following error while trying to access the podcast RSS feed:
iTunes U could not update the content because iTunes U could not download the specified feed (https://lms.brocku.ca/podcasts/site/BuildaPodcast). Until the issue is resolved, iTunes U continues to display the last downloadable version of the content. Verify that the feed specified in the feed URL field and the resource are available, and then try again.
To check your iTunes U podcast RSS feed URL and details, edit your Course page group located at Brock University > Brock Community > Sakai > Help for Instructors.
Sincerely,
The iTunes U Team"
It is great that content will start moving now, but can anything be done about the spurious E-Mails? -
RAC Node Addition fails with - " VIP is already in use "
We had a two-node RAC on oracle 10gR2 with ASM. We removed the second node and now trying to add it back as the second node again.
CRS and ASM got extended on to the second node but when trying to add the Db home, it gives an error in the oui :
"Unable to connect to the second node, when clicked ok is shows as VIP for node <NODENAME> is already in use"
CRS is running fine on both the nodes and VIP for both the nodes is shown in CRS_STAT.
Has anyone seen this error message earlier?

Bent EskilHi I have the same issue, today i rebooted the controller after that no Access Point is joining the controller. While debug i can see same logs as given above. I have configured option 43 and 60 as well on cisco switch. Pool commands are:

option 43 hex f108.aca8.1e68
dns-server 192.168.30.1 4.2.2.2

I have checked the time and country code all fine but still Access point are not joining. Can you help me out to figure out the issue.

Windows 7 update fails with error 8000FFFF
I've got a Windows 7 x64 installation that I've had for around three months. Everything has been fine and working up until a few weeks ago. When I run Windows Update it finds updates and allows me to select them, but when I run the install it fails with error 8000FFFF. Update used to work, but then suddenly quit.
I've dug through tons of forum and web sites regarding this specific error, but they all of their solutions do nothing to fix my problem. In frustration I decided to put in a spare hard drive and install Windows 7 from scratch. I did that and the first thing I tried to do after logging in was updates and it failed for the same reason (8000FFF).
I have the same situation with a Windows Storage Server 2008 x64 that I have as well. It has been runing for about six months or more and updates were working fine. Then update started failing for the same or some other reason about the same time. On this machine I can start the update and see it report a percentage downloading the update. It gets to about 5 or 6 percent and then fails.
Is there some possible networking issue at play in my situation? I have earlier Windows versions (XP, XP64, Svr 2003 and Svr 2003 R2) and updates work fine on those. I know those are using a different mechanism, but I do not notice any other kind of networking issues from my house to the Internet. I have not changed anything or any settings in my firewall at all. Is there some specific protocol, port or something that has to work prefectly in order for the new Windows update to work?
All of my machines are pretty much Intel based. Win7 box is a Core2Duo on an EVGA 680i motherboard. The servers are Intel Xeons with Intel motherboards, chipsets and nics.
Thanks for any advice and helpWow, suddenly I have the same bizarre error at 11% of downloading, then error #8000FFFF.
Fix IT, registry keys and SoftwareDistribution folder cleaning, uninstalling previous updates, manual downloading of appropriate updates and attempt do install it and creating/deleting user profiles - don't work at all.
Any new ideas?
Thanks,
Win7 x64 SP1

"The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized"
Hi,
I'm trying to get both RSS feeds and SSRS reports on a web application which is having NTLM authentication without Kerberos. The catch is proxy setting, if I give <proxy autoDetect="false" /> in web.config of my sharepoint web
application SSRS reports will be rendered in SQL Server Report viewer perfectly (I deploy using BIDS), but RSS viewer webpart will not display my internet feeds. If I give
<proxy autoDetect="true" /> RSS feeds are displayed properly but SSRS report will throw the following error.

I tried to work around this by adding proxy settings with bypass list.
<system.net>
<defaultProxy useDefaultCredentials="true">
<proxy proxyaddress="http://<proxy IP address>:<port>" bypassonlocal="true" usesystemdefault="true" />
<bypasslist>
<add address="<my report server>" />
<add address="http://<report server>:8080/reportserver/" />
<add address="<IP of my report server>" />
</bypasslist>
</defaultProxy>
</system.net>
This makes RSS feed to work but SSRS throw the above error. I would need some advice from Microsoft on how to fix this.
Note: My sharepoint site cannot be anonymous. I have just once service account that runs sql server service, report service, sharepoint services etc. This account is local admin on all servers, has highest access on sql box, run SSRS web service and app
pools, etc.
I have four servers, 2 WFE in windows load balanced, 1 app server (running Central admin and report service in sharepoint integrated mode), 1 db server hosting all content and config dbs and report server db.

Manoj

Thanks to share your post.
For the issue,
do you mean that the error happen with the use of NTLM authentication without Kerberos? If yes, the possible cause should be the lacking of Kerberos.
My suggestion is to implement the Kerberos authentication in your environment. You may check it and test it. For the detailed steps of implementing of the Kerberos:

The IReportServerCredentials approach with the ReportViewer control is working fine within a domain, but I get a 401 not authorized error for a Web IIS server trying to call a SSRS server in another domain. I've see plenty of helpful postings on the use
of IReportServerCredentials but nothing that provides suggestions for this cross domain issue. Hope someone has some ideas on this one. Thanking you in advance for your response.
Using VS 2008 VB.NET web app with ReportViewer control Version=8.0.0.0.
Outside domainA Web Server IIS 8. OS = Windows NT 6.2;
Inside domainA Windows 7 desktop; Inside domainA Windows Server 2003
SSRS using windows authentication and on SQL Server 2012. OS = Windows NT 6.2
The processing described below successfully produces a report when the web server app runs on a machine in the same domain as the SSRS server. For the "same domain" web app, both Win 7 desktop VS 2008 development server and Windows 2003 IIS 6 have
been tested successfully.
The report fails with error "The request failed with HTTP status 401: not authorized " when the web app is run from a windows IIS 8 machine (outward or Internet facing web server) that is not in the domain of the SSRS server. The ReportViewer control
credentials (provided by IReportServerCredentials and taken from the web.config file) match a domain account in the same domain as the SSRS
server and one that has browser permission on the report folder. The same credentials are used successfully for reports requested from within the SSRS domain.
One interesting thing is that on the Internet facing web server, I can access the report via a browser request. So it is possible to have a user request coming from the Internet facing machine get through the SSRS windows authentication. Just does not
work for the ReportViewer.
Using IReportServerCredentials interface per example provided by Microsoft msdn site. Code listed below.
IReportServerCredentials would appear to be a viable approach because it can pass credentials of a windows account known to the SSRS server, but not known to the client machine. By the way, database calls to SQL Server in domainA using a SQL Server
native login account work fine. So the network support communication to a domain that the web server does not belong to.

Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:2.0.50727.8009; ASP.NET Version:2.0.50727.8010I got the answer to my question by following suggestions by Irb on another technical forum.
From web server (not on same domain), I was passing credentials of a domain account on the SSRS server. Irb suggested I create a local account on the SSRS server and pass those credentials. I tried this but got the same results.
This approach worked for web server in SSRS domain, but failed with 401 Unauthorized for web server outside the SSRS domain. Per suggestion for local account on SSRS server, I tried passing empty string "" as the domain via IReportServerCredentials.
Again this works for web server in the same domain as SSRS. But I get the 401 Unauthorized error when the web server is outside the domain. In testing and checking similar posts, I discovered an additional piece was required for the report request to work
across domains. The default user did not have authority to send the request and/or receive the report. Adding the following in <system.web> section of web.config file was needed.
<identity impersonate="true" userName="localwindowsuser" password="#########"/> where "localwindowsuser" is a windows user defined on the web server.
I never needed this extra piece when the web server ran in the same domain as the SSRS server. I thank Irb for making me go through the details of additional tests because that is how I stumbled across an identity comment and ultimately got things working. -
SSRS 2012 - The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized.
I have SSRS Reporting Services 2012 load balanced on two servers.
Both servers are running Windows Server 2012 R2.
I have a Web Application that renders reports by utilizing this SSRS Reporting Services 2012.
When the application generates a report using load balancing I get error the message, “The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized.”
However, using only one reporting server, the application is able to render the report just fine.
It seems that when the requests are shared between the servers the problem occurs.
One solution is to configure Load Balancing with “Source IP” persistence.
This seems to work. I believe this is a “sticky” session.
With this Load Balancing configuration, the application can render the report just fine.
(However, I have not done complete testing.)
The problem occurs when calling the service ListChildren(string, bool ) on SSRS.
I have been researching online. I tried modifying the registry on the servers based on online articles (see below.)
Here are some articles I have looked at.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc281307(v=sql.110).aspx
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/lukaszp/archive/2008/07/18/reporting-services-http-401-unauthorized-host-headers-require-your-attention.aspx
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/lukaszp/archive/2008/07/18/reporting-services-http-401-unauthorized-host-headers-require-your-attention.aspx
Is there a better solution? Will Load Balancing with “Source IP” persistence be an acceptable solution? Is there a patch needed for the servers or SSRS? Please let me know.Hi GoGladiator,
Generally, "The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized" occurs when
The service account used to connect to the Report Server is not authorized.
The Reporting Services is configured to use Kerberos, however, we didn't register Service Principal Name (SPN) for the account the Reporting Services is running under.
So, to fix this issue, we can refer to the follow steps:
Make sure the user is able to connect to the Report Server.
If using Kerberos authentication, please make sure SPN is configured correctly. If using Kerberos authentication, please make sure SPN is configured correctly.
For more information about Kerberos Authentication and how to register SPN for a report server in Reporting Services, please see the articles below:
Configure Windows Authentication on the Report Server
Register a Service Principal Name (SPN) for a Report Server
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Katherine Xiong

Error http the request failed with http status 401: unauthorized
Hi,<o:p></o:p>
We are currently developing a Web Part for a
dashboard that connects from SharePoint 2010 to Project Server, we are trying
to connect via the PSI web service and fetch the project data but it is giving
the same error "The request failed with HTTP
status 401: Unauthorized". We are having a huge
issue with gaining authorization through the PSI and cannot figure out what the
problem is. We are using Project Server 2010, SharePoint 2010 and Visual Studio
2010.<o:p></o:p>
The person developing this has administrative
rights on both servers and it is running on his account. However, this is his
first experience with Project Server. Could some provide some guidance?<o:p></o:p>
Does anyone have any suggestions?<o:p></o:p>
Thanks,<o:p></o:p>

Have the credentials been set for the web service? Or are you trying to pass the credentials of the user accessing the webpart? In the second case, the user must have permissions in project server

I want to Fill a drop down with Outlook Meeting of Current log-in user in SharePoint 2013 web part for default credentials I am using the following code
ExchangeServiceBinding binding = new ExchangeServiceBinding();
ServicePointManager.ServerCertificateValidationCallback = (sender, certificate, chain, sslPolicyErrors) => true;
binding.RequestServerVersionValue = new RequestServerVersion();
binding.RequestServerVersionValue.Version = ExchangeVersionType.Exchange2010_SP2;
binding.PreAuthenticate = true;
binding.UseDefaultCredentials = true;
binding.Credentials = CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials ;
string server = "https://*********/ews/Exchange.asmx";
binding.Url = server;
I Am Getting the Error "The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized."
but when I Replace the line
binding.Credentials = CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials ;
with
binding.Credentials = new NetworkCredential(userName, password, domain);
Its run fine. Is there any way I could able to use default credential.
Hi,
As this question is more relate to Exchange development, I suggest you post it to the corresponding forum, you will get more help and confirmed answers from there.
