Anyone else want to file a lawsuit against Verizon for fraud?
Wrongful billing?
Lied to about you plan, discount?
Lied to about your phone?
Ever have a emergency call dropped?

At places where I live where something like this might be need all they offer is 3G 20 GB plan. Kind of useless. I can get the 4G 20 GB plan at my address, but not the unlimited plan. Doesn't matter since I can get 30 Mbps from Charter with a 250 GB cap for $50 a month anyway. Speaking of  their "unlimited" plan. I love how "unlimited" is actually 50 GB. Talk about false advertising.
My account is unlimited so why is there an issue if I go over 50GB?
Per the Millenicom Terms of Service you agreed to upon sign-up, the unlimited service is for personal and family use and is not to be used for commercial purposes or as a public WiFi or broadcast to multi-dwelling units or any other extraordinary circumstance. Usage over 50 gigabytes in one month is not considered personal and family use and will alert our investigative team.
Really? 50 GB is just 20 minutes of Netflix a day. I can't even remember the last time we used under 50 GB a month. Just 19 days into the month and we are at 67 GB and that's a low month for us.

  • Anyone else interested in pursuing a lawsuit against verizon?

Hello all, I have read the verizon privacy policy several times and still can't find the section on violating our privacy to assist our incompetent government.  I have an appointment with my attorney next week to get some feedback on filing a lawsuit against them.  I will post what I find out on here.  Please let me know if anyone else is interested in pursuing this cause with me.

Verizon was obligated to comply with the FISA warrant.  Their failure was in their Privacy disclosure:  They did not indicate that such orders may exist. (And I did go back and re-read the **** thing.)  As for me, I'm going after the government.  I've already started talking to the ACLU to join a class.  In particular b/c I have no other carrier where I live, and the only declassified warrant applies to the only carrier I can use.  (Now, of course, it's accepted that all the major carriers were also served with these warrants, but the others have not been declassified.)  I suppose a case could be made for the failure of the company to advise customers of the privacy issue.  Good luck.

  • Re: Lawsuit against Comcast for fraud & breach of contract

Does anybody know of a lawsuit against Xfinity or Comcast for breach of contract. Here is a list of my complaints I sent to Comcast:. 1.  Your agent who installed my Internet and telephone stole a diamondand sapphire ring that was once appraised at $8,500.  I can't prove it,but he's the only one who has been in my house since I last wore it.  2.  My voice mail worked at first, but I started getting messagesaying "Sorry, we cannot open this web page." I wish I had printed out all the chats I had with your service department because I spent at least 24 hours total: chattingwith several persons over a period of two weeks or so. None of them could fix this problem. 3.  Not only did I lose my voice mail, I lost missed calls, answered calls, and the ability to block calls. 4.  At first I could get messages from my telephone.  Now I can't. 5.  Apparently, your security is nil, since someunknown changed my password. I live alone so theydidn't do it from here. What else are you allowing unknownsto do to my account? 6.  Because I have to hold half an hour to reachyour service department, it tells me you have plentyof service problems.  7.  You disconnected my speaker phone.  8.  Maybe I should have listed this first because it isof upmost importance.  Comcast will not let myanswering machine answer my calls.  I am old and crippledand cannot get to it before it answers.  At times it doesn'teven allow the phone time to ring.  9.  Over the last two days I have spent a total of almost14 hours on chats and phone calls to Comcast aboutmy problems. I chatted until my chat quit working. Now I have to rely on the telephone. 10 I have to go through all my problems beforethey say I need a level 2 technician.  I get disconnectedand have to call back, go through all their menus and get level 1again who says they can help me.   When they finishedhelping me, my Internet Explorer wasn't working with all myfavorites.  I use AOL free e-mail, which quit working. 11.  I get popups all the time, although my popup blocker is on.   There are other problems that I can't recall at the moment.      To sum it up, nothing I bought works. Since Comcast cannot, or will not, live up to their endof the contract.  I do not feel obligated to live up to mine. I tried calling your legal department and they wanted it inwriting so here it is.  Send it to them.   I am stopping my automatic billing.  Just for the record, I am printing this in case my saved mail disappears.  When I changed to Comcast/Xfinity, people warned me I would have problems. I can see from your many complaints that they were right.  I should have listened. Sylvia

    1) File a police report about your ring, make a damage claim to Comcast and make a claim on your home owner's insurance if you can.
    2) Back in March of 2013, the US. Supreme court essentially killed class action suits against companies like Comcast. (Comcast Corp. v. Behrend )
    3) You can sue Comcast if you like, but be aware of the Binding Arbitration clause in the Residential User Agreement (See #13). If you didn't op-out in the first 30 days, you agreed to not sue Comcast to settle disagreements.
    4) You can elect to resolve your dispute through arbitration. You may open a case with the American Arbitration Association - Case Filing Services, 1101 Laurel Oak Road, SUite 100, Voorhees, NJ 08043, 877-495-4185
    5) You might consider a complaint with your franchising authority. A franchising authority is the local municipal, county or other government organization that regulates certain aspects of the cable television industry at the state or local level. The name of the franchising authority may be on the front or back of your cable bill. If this information is not on your bill, contact Comcast or your local town or city hall.
    6) You really don't want to deal with Comcast's legal team, you want to deal with Corporate Customer Service. Customer Service is there to help you, the legal team is there to protect Comcast.

Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons together for 10+ seconds, ignoring the red power-off slider, until you see the Apple logo. It is safe to do, there should be no content loss. It is the same as rebooting your computer.
If that does not work, restore the iPad to the factory settings.

  • Is anyone else having random file access issues? including "Element not found" error?

I don;t know what the @#$ is going on with this device, but for example:
user A creates a folder in their area(under a share with RW rights)
    Everything is great..
They come in on day2, and all of a sudden, they get "Access denied" on the (excel) file
Typically, if I re-apply full rights for them using windows permissions, it "fixes" it.
Today, I went to modify a excel spreasheet that I've been using for a week or so, and boom, access denied
and effective permissions indicate that very thing: no rights.
I attempted to re-apply rights to my home directory, and on that particulat .xls, got a "Element not found" message.
I'm sad that I've had SO much trouble with this device.
I re-sycned with A/D just for kicks, no help.
    It syncs with A/D daily
I've had so many of these related permissions issues, we're likel;y scrapping the Lenovo for a windows server, but I figured I'll see if anyone else is dealing with this message..
I'm  also open to the fact that it could be our A/D I suppose..

Sorry to reply to such an old topic, but I am having exactly the same issue.  Did you ever find a fix?  We are reapplying all the parent folder settings every morning to bandaid the situation, but it is becoming a little ridiculous...
We have our settings so that a file administrator has full access to everyone's files, and each individual has full access to their own folder.  The folder settings never change, but the files seem to lose the user's access permission periodically after being opened or edited (haven't narrowed down the exact cause, but has never happened to files that haven't been accessed, but doesn't always happen to files that have been accessed).  One odd thing that might have something to do with it, the ownership of files keeps defaulting to a generic 63353/UNIX instead of the creator of the file or the owner of the parent folder (which is set the way we want).  We are currently experiementing with changing it, but it seems ike if we set the owner to the user, the file administrator randomly loses access, if we set to the file admin, the user randomly loses access.  I think we might be can bandaid the situation from the user's perspective with this, but it doesn't seem to fix the initial issue, that the folder permissions won't stay set.

  • Anyone else want to try ck's new BFS patch in linux-ck

CK added skip lists into bfs and would like some folks to bang on it for testing purposes.  I have added an option in linux-ck's PKGBUILD for you to enable it.  Anyone else out there wanna give it a try?
Default option is disabled, so just change the "n" to "y" in this config flag and compile:
    _skiplist_bf="n"
I propose using this thread for discussion and CK's blog to post your bugs if you find any.

I'm accustomed to using my left middle finger to click and my two right first fingers to scroll & move arrow.
That's a very bad habit.  As stated, dragging or clicking with two fingers triggers gestures.  One finger only!  The left finger being used for clicks is okay-ish, though it seems clumsy to me.  I just use my right thumb to click.  As I said, the OS is smart enough not to interpret a thumb (or other finger) as a second finger and invoke a gesture when clicking, but you can't leave that finger on the pad (except when dragging while holding down the mouse button).
If you're unable to adjust to that, you'll need a mouse.  But a mouse is an extra thing to carry on your trip to Europe, and if you get a wireless mouse, you'll have to juggle batteries as well.  I'd strongly advise working hard to learn how to use the trackpad so you don't have such things to deal with.
If you do decide to buy a mouse, I have no recent experience with a mouse.  (I personally hate mice with a passion...  I have been using trackballs, and even a very simple primitive trackpad, since about 20+ years ago.)  So I can't recommend a specific brand.  I will say that you should avoid Apple's Magic Mouse, whose upper surface works similarly to the trackpad in that it recognizes gestures.  As to wired vs wireless, wireless can be more convenient, but there are problems such as batteries to contend with.

  • Has anyone else been charged 3 times by iTunes Store for one purchase?

I made a purchase last night on Apple TV only to find out that Apple iTunes charged me three times for it. Anyone else have this issue?
I suggest everyone that is purcashing from iTunes and Apple TV that you check your bank statement to make sure you aren't being charged TRIPLE for what you've bought.

If you didn't click the buy button 3 times then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Has anyone else seen a spike in their data usage for no reason?

Anyone else seeing random really large data spikes in their usage summary?
I've had my iPhone 5 for over a year now and I've never even come close to using my data (or texts and calls for that matter).
Now all of a sudden, I got a text yesterday (5/1/14) telling me that I'm at 70% of my allotted data. Then today, I got another text telling me that I'm at 90%. That prompted me to turn off my cellular Data - and to look into my usage.
After I looked at my data usage, I saw that there were a lot of spikes in data usage ranging anywhere from 250MB to 400MB on a single day! And then when I looked more closely, I saw that these data spikes were at times when I'm sitting at home - where my phone would be on Wi-Fi!
I called customer support and the CSR was NOT helpful. She flat out lied to me and tried to say that I used 3 gigs in February and that I'm averaging 2 gigs a month! I looked up my past usage charts and she was WRONG.
She then went on to tell me that Verizon will STILL charge us on data usage EVEN IF our phones are connected to our own High Speed Internet connection! She explained that the phone will pick the faster service... Really? She's really going to tell me that 4G LTE is faster than my ISP? Wow...
I'm documenting this now so that if I see these spikes in the future, I WILL REPORT Verizon to the FCC and I hope that those of you who are having similar problems on your data billing [will do the same].

        MichaelKi77,
Data charges can be quite shocking, let's get to the bottom of this to make sure we can help you prevent overages in the future. Have you downloaded any new applications? Please go to Settings>Cellular>Scroll down to see which apps use data. Then, scroll all the way down to System Services to view all data usage.

  • I'm having problems with Outlook for the Mac, anyone else?, I'm having problems with Outlook for the Mac, anyone else?

I have recently purchased a Mac.  I'm very dissapointed at the way Outlook 2011(the newest version, what?!?)interfaces with the Mac.  I used the contacts feature all the time when I had a microsoft system.  Now, I can't do that with Outlook for the Mac.  Does anyone have any alternative Apps that they've used for Business contacts?  Thanks much.

thank you both for your responses.  I'm having trouble mostly with a way to handle my business contacts. I'm self employed and when I had Outlook for Microst(before I switched to Apple)I was so pleased with this softward. Esp the way it would keep track of any correspondense between me and my customer.  I could also track billing thru Outlook contacts.
Now, I get my mail thru outllook and use ical and @contacts.  I see that I can have a separate group of contacts thru @contacts, but, it's not the same or nearly as good as Outlook contacts for Microsoft.
So, right now I'm really disapointed with my Mac purchase and hoping to find an app that will help.  I will investigate Thunderbird.
    thanks again.

  • How can I file a complaint against Verizon?

My husbands phone went bad and they send out a galaxy s4 with no battery or back for it, and expect us to order it from Samsung who did not have them in stock then expect us to order from Amazon. All of this instead of sending a new phone, which they should have if they didn't have the battery and back for what they sent. How stupid can they be???? This is terrible customer service in my opinion.

    SharDoss wrote:
You are not understanding what is being said.  We did not ask for a different phone. His phone was under warranty. If they did not have a Motorola Droid M, they should have sent the battery and back for the phone they sent. Their excuse was they did not stock the refurbished phones with the backs (if you return a phone to them you are required to send the back cover back also). The battery came in to their stock over the weekend and was mailed by way of USPS on the 18th (yesterday). We received the back from Amazon today but no battery, because the rep didn't want to send it overnight shipping. It comes down to this - if they did not have a complete phone to send, then why wouldn't they send a new one instead of half a phone. I understand the policy of the warranty of replacing it with a like new phone which is a refurbished one, but at least if it was a different style, send the whole phone!!!!!!!!!  That is what is stupid about the whole situation.
The ONLY time I have ever returned a phone to Verizon for a warranty issue, I was specifically told to keep the back AND battery, so no you are NOT "required to send the back cover back also".
Additionally, of course Verizon doesn't "stock" refurbished phones for warranty issues. It is a manufacturer warranty. Verizon simply facilitates the manufacturers warranty if you do not want to go thru the manufacturer. While Verizon offers this service, they are in no way required to do so and do not guarantee a quick turnaround if your model is not in stock.
Next time, go thru the manufacturer if you are not happy with how Verizon facilitates the manufacturers warranty.

  • Has Anyone Else Been Forced to Accept FIOS Because Verizon Doesn't Want To Repair Copper Line?

Technician came out today and concluded there's a problem with the wire coming from the pole in my neighbor's yard which connects to the box on the side of my house. Said neither he nor his supervisor believes that Verizon is going to want to replace/repair the wire in view of the fact that Verizon is trying to get everyone in my area switched over to FIOS. Technician also advised that Verizon is unable to access the easement in neighbor's yard in order to make the repair. The technician told me that I would have to contact code enforcement and/or go to court to secure access to the easement for Verizon to make this repair.  When it became clear to the technician that I wasn't going to switch to FIOS, thus eliminating the need for Verizon to repair the line, he closed out my repair ticket.   Doesn't Verizon have an obligation to repair and/or replace this wire? What are my rights in this situation? If Verizon is unable to gain access to an easement in order to make a needed repair, isn't it their responsibility to seek assistance or pursue legal action against the property owner denying them access? Does the technician have the authority to close a repair ticket without completing the repair? Since placing the repair request on Tuesday, I have had to endure a significant amount of pressure, brow-beating and bullying from Verizon (call on Wednesday, as well as two phone calls from technician and order taker today). I find all of this reprehensible and completely unsatisfactory. I do not want FIOS.  Here's what I do want:  I want Verizon to repair or replace the bad wire and restore my service as soon as possible.  PLEASE!

YES!!! I am having the same issue. It has been over a year with intermitant service and the last few months have only gotten worse. I have had three techs come to " fix" the line to no avail. Yesterday a tech came after I called for the third time in a few months and explictly stating I wanted my Copper Line fixed. They then proceeded to stated that they couldn't fix it and the only solution was to go to FIOS. Verizon hasn't been maintaining its copper lines and its ridiculous that you call and call to get the run around when trying to get it fixed. Each tech comes out and says the same thing the company isn't fixing copperlines, FIOS.. etc.  On top of that the tech left yesterday and not only was my phone no longer working .. " straight to vm" but my internet wasnt working either. I contacted customer servicet that same night to be told that I have an order pending even though I was told I didn't have to make up my mind and a new Tech would be there the next day. Guess what! THEY SWITCHED ME WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION.  This has been one of the most fustrating experiences. I want to know why they are not providing copper service when they publically stated they do. I do not want FIOS.  Here's what I do want:  I want Verizon to repair or replace the bad wire and restore my service as soon as possible. I have been a long time Verizon Customer it is so fustrating to see how they are treating they consumers. Thank you!
