Apple devices dont connect to the network.

Hi everyone this is the 1st time im on the forums here so...
I have an Ipod touch 4g , i have it for about 9 months and i havent connected it to the internet ever. Some friends of mine came to my house with their iPhones and they coudnt connect either.I have tried to reset my Ipod and router 2-3 times , i have tried the option "Reset Network Settings" . I really dont know what to do... I am thinking of buying a new router because of that. Any suggestions how to fix the problem , i dont really want to buy a new router.

I restarted the router twice with no success. I also reset my network connections on the Iphone and restarted the phone with no success. Other devices such as my Ipad don't have a problem. I read somewhere where it may be a ISP security type setting not allowing the Iphone to connect? Any other suggestions.

Why are all my Apple devices not connecting to the web?

I have an Airport express and has been working fine up until recently. Now none of my Apple devices are connecting to the web. They all find the network no problem and all connect however they will not connect to the internet. The strange thing is that our Windows laptop works fine but absolutly nothing from Apple, this includes a 2011 MacBook pro, iphone 3gs, ipod touch, Apple tv and 2x 2nd gen ipads. I have reset the airport and set up a new network, it worked for one day and is back to how it was. Any advice would be great

I seem to be having a similair issue. I have an AirPort Extreme and my iMac connects fine but now my Kindle and Netflix are unable to connect to the Internet? They see my network but just can't connect to the internet?
I used to have my cable modem connected to a Vonage phone router, which then connected to my Airport. Everything worked fine then. I recently canceled my Vonage service and removed the phone router. Now my cable modem is connected directly to my Airport. Did removing the phone router casue my problem? Do I need to re-set something to get my kindle and Netflix to work again?

Thanks. I therefore have a problem as I cannot connect my ipad to the Apple TV. When trying to connect via Airplay my other apple tv appears (that is connected only via WiFi and that connects OK) but the Apple tv connected via the Ethernet does not show. I have looked at all the settings on both apple TV's and the only difference I can see is one is connected via WiFi and the other through Ethernet cable. Any ideas on what I need to check out?

have you tried connecting using ethernet to see if it's a wifi issue ?
and have you verified that the required ports are allowed on the network ?

Does anyone know why i can't connect this stupid thing to my network. Its worked fine for like a year, and suddenly it won't connect. When i go to general settings and click network it shows the network and says i have good signal strength but idk what to do from there.

Is the network security WEP by any chance as I've a feeling AppleTV prefers WPA2.

HT204400 no matter what i try, my apple tv says it cant connect to the network and it gives me error -3906. i have tried restart and reset, wifi, ethernet same error. all other devices work fine.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

It's just the apple tv. my computer, iPhone, iPad all connect to the wireless no problem but all of the sudden the apple tv says it cannot connect to the network. I tried powering down the apple tv and tried resetting it but it will not connect. any tips? thanks!

My Apple Tv is connecting to the Wifi network but is not connect to the internet. So when I look for it on my Airplay it doesn't come up. I have 3 other ones already working on the network and they are all fine.

My apple TV is finding and connecting to the Wifi network but then says it is not connected to the internet and then I cannot find it on the iPad through airplay. I don't want it connected to the internet (as in www.) because for the use I have I only need to use the Apple tvs locally in a sports hall as scoreboards. Ip address- fine
DCN- fine
Activation- Failed
This is the only negative I can find and the statement that the Apple TV has connected to the wifi but is not connected to the internet.

It is not properly connected to the network.
Make sure location is set correctly
DNS should be on auto (settings - general - network)
Try ethernet
Signal strength on device won't account for issues, you would need a network report from istumbler, netstumbler or similar. This will show accurate signal strength along with noise and nearby networks

I have reset all network components and the Apple TV. I first set up Apple TV and it worked beautifully. The next time I turned it on it gave me the error message. I have tried reconnecting to the netwrk multiple times. I have my laptop and my ipad connected to the network, but the Apple TV will no longer connect. I am out of solutions. I had the same problem. I just solutioned it just by disabling MAC Address filtering in my LinkSys router. This is strange as I did enter the address of my ATV3 in the list of allowed devices in the router configuration software.
The truth is that it now works! I just seems that ATV is not compatible with MAC Address filtering.

Try resetting your modem. Power it down. Wait a moment, then power it up again. While it resets, do not change what is connected to it.
In another, though unrelated article, Apple recommends the following:
If you have configured your Wi-Fi base stations in the past, it may be helpful to do a factory default reset of each Wi-Fi base station that will be part of the wireless extended network before you begin.
This step really ought not be considered optional for the configuration you propose. If the problem persists after resetting your modem, reset everything else too.

Welcome to the Apple Community Willy.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device.

I have tried resetting my airport extreme, creating a new network, etc nothing seems to work.

I have a feeling you may be stuck in bridge mode there...
Factory reset the Extreme (so we don't second guess later), and re-set up the extreme using iOS5 on your iPhone.
Set up your Wi-Fi network with your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, or Mac.
