Application Loader: Binary upload issue

I am trying to upload a binary but getting below errors:
1. An error occured while uploading the file appname.zip
2. An exception has occured: Broken pipe.
3. An error occured while uploading the package: -------.itmsp
4. An exception has occured: The transport has been detected as having stalled and has been aborted. Please try again.
Unity3d version: 4.3
Xcode version: 5.0
In all previous version upload I haven't encounter such issue. Please guide me how to resolve this issue.

Sounds like a question for the folks who support Unity.

  • Ridiculous!!! We need a MAC to use Application Loader to upload our apps to the AppStore??

Apparently, Apple has recently changed their appstore upload procedures and now require developers to use their Application Loader software to upload the binary files to appstore - which is only available on a MAC.  is there any way a Windows developer and upload an app using a PC?

The change was over ten months ago. Prior to that the first part of the review process would involve checking for incorrect use of private API calls, and so on. Now the Application Loader does a good amount of verifying of the app, and can tell you what's wrong with it, which has to be better than you waiting a couple of weeks to only find that you had something wrong in the file.
Some people are using VM setups on WIndows to run OSX, just to run Application Uploader. See pages like this one:
    http://lifehacker.com/5583650/run-mac-os-x-in-virtualbox-on-windows
Or, check amongst all of your colleagues and family, there is a chance that someone within not too bad commuting distance from you uses a Mac.
Another option would be to spend $700 to get one of these:
    http://www.apple.com/macmini/
That may seem like a small fortune, but you could easily spend more than that you to get a decent Android tablet to test on.

  • Just updated app and sent to Apple in advance of iOS8...got this error message...during binary upload...

Is this an issue? If so what should I do to avoid Apple kick back?
Invalid or Non-Increasing CFBundleVersion - The value specified in the bundle's Info.plist file for the key CFBundleVersion must be a string consisting of any number of dot-separated components, where each component is composed only of the digits 0 through 9. For example, any of the following are syntactically valid values for CFBundleVersion: "1.0", "4.2.1", "5545.12", "1.4.0.0.5"; whereas the following are all syntactically invalid: "GX5", "3.4.2b6", "2.6GM", "1.0 (Gold)", "-3.6". Additionally, each updated version of the same application must have a CFBundleVersion that increases relative to that of the previous version that was actually made available for sale on the iTunes Store. For example, if a previously-available version had a CFBundleVersion of "1.4", then any of the following would be acceptable as the next update: "1.4.0.0.0.0.5", "1.4.1", "1.4.332", "1.5"; but all of the following (though syntactically valid) would be unacceptable: "1.4", "1.3", "1.3.99999", "0.9". For more information about the CFBundleVersion key and the Info.plist file, see Apple's Runtime Configuration Guidelines athttp://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/MacOSX/Conceptual/BPRuntimeConfig/ind ex.html
After you’ve corrected the issues, you can use Xcode or Application Loader to upload a new binary to iTunes Connect.

    We received a similar warning:
"ITMS-9000: This bundle is invalid. The value for key CFBundleVersion in the info.plist file must be a period-separated list of at most three non-negative integers. Version Mismatch. Neither CFBundleVersion nor CFBundleShortVersionString in the Info.plist match the version of the app set in iTunes Connect."
Should we also ignore this warning?

  • Application Loader detect my icon dimensions in error

I've released many apps before using the iTunesConnect but this is my first time that i'm using Application Loader to upload a binary.
When i try to upload the binary using the Application Loader then it gives me the following error:
*iPhone/iPod Touch: Icon.png: icon dimensions (0 x 0) don't meet the size requirements. The icon file must be 57x57 pixels, in .png format*
I've valid icon with png extension and its meta data gives me the proper information along with its size (57x57). Anyone facing the same issue? Thanks!

I had the same problem. Application Loader really threw me for a loop since this problem only reared its ugly head when I was trying to update my app already in The Store. But then I had the same problem with my new app that I was uploading for the first time.
Anyway, problem solved. My solution: change the "icon file" key in the "your app"-info.plist file to "icon files" (plural). Then add a row for your 57x57 and 72x72 icon files. Application Loader accepted my zipped binary just fine after that.

  • Anyone getting this Application Loader problem?

Not sure what's happening here but I am having no joy at all in getting application loader to upload our binary to Apple.
I get any one of the attached errors when trying to upload out 106mb binary.
    Anyone had a similar experience.
I also tried creating a new application in itunesconnect and uploading on the web but get an error message then also.
    Here's a screen shots:
    http://dev1.origincreative.com/applicationloader_error2.jpg
    The third error reads:
java.lang.NullPointerException: Unable to create axis service with url https://itunesconnect.apple.com/WebO...seService?wsdl and QName {https://itunesconnect.apple.com/WebObjects/MZLabelService.woa/ws/MZEncodingHouse Service}MZEncodingHouseService: Exception trying to invoke operation: uploadFailed
Guess it looks like a service outage at Apple's end but I have been trying all over the weekend. Interested to see it anyone has had the same issue the past couple of days

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Odd...well, perhaps the de-install instructions are different? You can check the RIM KB for a clean uninstall here:
     http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB02206&slic...
Followed by a clean install here:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=BlackBerryDesktopSoftware&thread.id=3...
    Hopefully that'll help.
I have, however, heard of others that have followed the clean uninstall yet had to manually edit their PC registry and manually remove any and all BB/RIM entries...and that got them going. Use that advise at your own risk, of course...

  • Error using App Builder and Application Loader

    Hello,
we created many App's with the App Builder before and after the release of v27 we tried to update a couple of App's. So we get into the App Builder, changed the version from v26 to v27 (didn't changed anything else!!!) and rebuild the App. Now we want to use the Application Loader to upload the App to iTunes Connect, but everytime we receive this message:
"The binary being analyzed must be an executable: /var/folders/9x/.../..._v27_distribution-viewer.zip/viewer.app/viewer"
We rebuild the app several times, updated the App Builder but nothing works. Does anyone has an idea?
    Regards
    Sven

Was the app updated from previous version to v27 or was created as a brand new v27 app?
Is this same error happening for any other apps you are trying to submit?
What is the version of application loader you are using to upload the distribution-viewer.zip?
The latest version of application loader should be on is 2.8. If you are not, then upgrade to the latest version and try again. You can download the latest version from https://itunesconnect.apple.com/WebObjects/iTunesConnect.woa

  • Can't open any apps downloaded from the internet after installing application loader update and messages beta

My issue : I'm unable to open application I downloaded from the web. I get the following error message below.
Question: Has anyone else run into this issue and do you have a solution?
    Thanks for you help.
P.S I haven't tried rolling back the lastest softwarte installs yet. I'm hoping I can avoid that.

When I press cancel nothing happens. I can do nothing and it still won't load the program.

  • Uploading App with Application Loader Issue

    Hi guys,
I wrote several apps while the restrictions were enforced for "fun" and we have now finished it for release. I am being thwarted by one particular issue, different from anything on the net so far (as far as 9 hours of searching goes).
When I go to use application loader to submit, i choose the .zip, it accepts, unzips validates codesign etc, then comes up with a
"this bundle is invalid. Apple is not current;y accepting appliactions built with this version of the SDK."
I have tried renewing all codesigning certificates, provisioning profiles etc, and nothing helps. Ive even tried changing the info.plist in the actual compiled binary to show that it has been compiled and built with a 4.0, 4.1 sdk. No luck.
This issue stands for all 3 applications I have written.
    Any fixes/suggestions/ HELP???
    Thanks
    Scott

    Hi
I have the same problem, we built the first app for our client through WoodWing, now we want to update the app with the Adobe one. During the upload of the new app, created with the Adobe Viewer Builder we get this error code:
This bundle is invalid. The key CFBundleShortVersionString in the Info.plist file must contain a higher version than that of the previously uploaded version.
When we open the Info.plist we can see that the Adobe Viewer Builder creates 1.0.1 for the Bundle Version String short, while the older WoodWing app has 2.1.
Marketing version in Viewer Builder = Bundle Version String Short or ?
That means everybody who is changing from the WoodWing to the Adobe reader needs to go through Adobe?

  • Issues with Apple's Application Loader

I have been having some issues delivering my ePub to iBooks through Apple's Application Loader device. I've contacted Adobe, who says my file is fine. Then Apple, who says there is an issue with my file. Then back to Adobe, who says their help ends with inDesign. Then back to Apple, who says I have to talk to Adobe.
Ever since kicking us publishers off Adobe DPS, I have been having unanswered issues with producing iBooks, which is the way that we have to produce inDesign files now. Namely, I get an issue saying an image, that isn't in my inDesign file, is too big to upload to Application Loader.
Has anyone had similar issues? Please help?

  • Application Loader stuck at "Authenticating with the iTunes store" when uploading an iOS app

We have been trying to submit an app to the iTunes store using Application Loader for three days and keep getting stuck at the "Authenticating with the iTunes store" step. We have read many forums and tried what was suggested: making a new provisioning profile, using different or multiple versions of Application Loader, changing proxy settings, rebooting the Mac, uploading at a different time of the day, etc. We have even left it running overnight and have not had success with getting past this step. Unfortunately, no feedback is given about what the issue may be, and we have not gotten any error messages. We built the app using Corona SDK, not Xcode, since we are developing across platforms. We have submitted multiple apps without any difficulty in the past but are completely stuck this time! Has anyone else run into this issue? How were you able to solve it? Thank you very much!

After half an hour of waiting, I cancelled the upload in Application Loader, and I was prompted with this error: "the app references non-public selectors in viewer.app/viewer: consume:"
What should I do? Thank you

  • Can not upload my ipa with Apple Application Loader

After I published with success a new .ipa with DPS when I tried to upload with Application Loader, the system refused my app.
In the past I never had this problem since last week it is impossible until now.
When I asked  help the Apple developer assistance, says:
The error you’re receiving now does make sense that it was caused by the Adobe DPS program. Sometimes when using 3rd party app builders it will cause a similar error when attempting to upload a new app or update.
Unfortunately Apple does not support 3rd party app builders, and I would suggest contacting the support group at Adobe in regards to DPS and what setting you need to adjust within the program to successfully upload the app.
When contacting them be sure to have the description of the error ready for them. I’ve seen this similar case with previous developers that have used the Adobe app builder, and have reached a resolution with contacting them.
    What can I do?
    Thank you in advance.

It was a network problem!!!  the solution is to make sure that you have access to the following IPs and ports or simple not becoming behind any firewall

  • Uploading AIR for IOS thru Application Loader I get the following error - The package does not contain an Info.plist.

I'm publishing an .fla in AIR for IOS.
I'm in CC 2014 so first I need to know which AIR should I publish in?
newest is AIR 14.0.0.178 for IOS
IOS deployment type is App Store
    publishes with no error.
I see the following files included .swf and app.xml
I convert the .ipa to a zip file
Upload that thru the Application Loader I get the following error
The package does not contain an Info.plist.
Where is the infoplist for this and do I convert the .ipa and the info to a zip file?
I converted the .ipa to a .zip and the intoplist file is NOT THERE  how do I generate this?
    Any help here?

Ok this is becoming very very frustrating as I have been at this for hours now. So the only way to explain this is to write what I did step by step as I have to be doing something wrong, just to recap:
I was publishing from Flash CC 2014 using AIR 14.0 and getting Digital Certificate is not valid message.
Was instructed to download new AIR 17 , I did this installed into Flash and used to publish.
I used my previous p12, app ID and distribution certificates all generated properly.
The file worked ONCE but I got an app ID error ( I understood I used the wrong app ID)
I changed it to the right app ID and the very next time and after 10 attempts I got the same error  Digital Certificate is not valid
SO I then downloaded AIR 16.0
RE DID ALL MY CERTIFICATES AND P12'S
went to publish and I STILL GET THE SAME MESSAGE   Digital Certificate is not valid
