For that you have to use journal vouchers where in you can save the JEs and get it approve from the authorised person.

I dont think it is possible to approve Entry sheet for partial quantity. Release strategy for Entry sheets are at Header level and not item level.

Best Practices for Service Entry Sheet Approval

Hi All
Just like to get some opinion on best practices for external service management - particularly approval process for Service Entry Sheet.
We have a 2 step approval process using workflow:
1 Entry Sheet Created (blocked)
2. Workflow to requisition creator to verify/unblock the Entry Sheet
3. Workflow to Cost Object owner to approve the Entry Sheet.
For high volume users (e.g. capital projects) this is cumbersome process - we looking to streamline but still maintain control.
What do other leaders do in this area? To me mass release seems to lack control, but perhaps by using a good release strategy we could provide a middle ground?
Any ideas or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
You can have purchasing group (OME4) as department and link cost center to department (KS02). Use user exit for service entry sheet release and can have two characteristics for service entry sheet release, one is for value (CESSR- LWERT) and another one for department (CESSR-USRC1) .Have one release class for service entry sheet release & then add value characteristics (CESSR- LWERT) and department characteristics (CESSR-USRC1). Now you can design release strategies for service entry sheet based on department & value, so that SES will created and then will be released by users with release code based on department & value assigned to him/her.

Approval for revoking service entry

Hi All,
I have one requirement that system should ask for approval of manager if the user revokes the service entry. Currently there is no release strategy for service entry in the system as the user is only creating and accepting the service entry sheet. They are fine with this, but if user revokes the already accepted service entry then it should ask for manager approval.Is it possible.

Hi,
This is not possible as User have full authorization to revoke the service entry sheet.
But you can try based on workflow.Do check with workflow consultant whether he can add an logic.

We are increasingly being asked to configure approval process for Journal Entries, especially from our larger customers. A move in the right direction was the addition of Stock. However no such addition was mode for journals. Has anyone developed such a solution or can Development give some indication as to where or if this requirement is on the consideration list.

I have created a workflow for Service entry sheet approval (BO- BUS2901) and I am having an issue with the agent determination. I am using my own Ztable to determine the possible agents.

Hi,
You should re-read the thread that you quoted above. The mighty Sue Keohan suggested a solution.
Instead of trying to pass a service *object*, and then extracting the key, you can just pass the key itself. It has type EESSR-LBLN1.

Workflow Required for Service Entry release

Hi !,
Can anyone help me out by provide input as i want to have a workflow to be generated based on a Text feild (Sap Login ID) which user will be entering in a Text feild in Service Entry Sheet. What it should do is :
1. Should Validate with my provided list of Approved Users. (Separate table entry to be maintained with reqd T-code).
2. Mail to be triggered to his(Approver) SAP and Outlook ID for the release to be made with Document Information.
3. He Should be able to Approve / Release through Workflow.
4. Creator should be informed for the Approval Done.

Setup of approval for Miscellaneous issue transaction in Inventory

We have a requirement from client to setup approval for Miscellaneous issue/
receipt transaction in Inventory.
Is it possible to fulfill the above requirement using Approval Management Engine (AME)?.

The material should be first reeived to Inventort then transferred to projects
Ex 100 Quantity is Received @ 10 Each - Inventory Material value will be 1000 Unit Price 10
Now 10 Quantity is Issued(Samples) @ 0 each - Inventory material Value will be 1000 Unit Price 11.11
Now Transfer the remaining quantity to Projects i,e 90 quantity, & inventory material value will be 1000, unit price will be 11.11 (Use Project related Misc Transaction for Project Issues)
Even though material is issued with 0 unit price A/c entries will be generated
Dr. Given A/c
Cr. Inventory material value A/c
Here first the material is directly received into Inventory (Not related to projects organization) Miscellaneous Issue (For samples) is done with 0 unit cost after that The material is transferred to projects (Project Issues)
For Miscellaneous Issue (Samples Issue) a Personalization is need to done such that the Unit price will be freeze to 0.

Authorization for Time Entry on Cost Center Level

Hi Experts,
Would like to know, if we can do authorisation for time entry on the base of cost center. For example, an employee worked for 8 hrs and out of that 2 hrs worked for different cost center. That 2 hrs should be approve by Manager of that cost center and 6 hrs from his current cost center.
I thought of Structural Authorisation but not sure how it will work. I would appreciate prompt response on the same.

Actually, I noticed that you had cross-posted this thread to the HCM forum. Normally, we move threads to other forums which are more appropriate, and often lock cross-posting. This is one of those grey areas between technical and functional, so I turned a blind eye on it.
I am hoping that there will be a functionality to mirror good questions to other related forums without having to cross-post. Is update approved for specific group via powershell?

Hello,
I have a script that auto approves updates based on release date for specific groups. The script checks to see if the update has already been approved (e.g. isApproved) and either skips it if it's already been approved or approves it for my specific group
(e.g. $update.approve("install",$wsus_group)). The problem I'm running into is if I approve Update1 for GroupA, then later check Update1's isApproved to see whether or not I need to approve it for GroupB, Update1's isApproved is $true and therefor
my script skips approving it for GroupB. I've checked the update's object and I don't see a multi-valued var for groups that its been approved for. I've started to poke around with other
Microsoft.UpdateServices.Administration namespaces but I don't see one that has the info I'm looking for.
So, how can I view what updates have been approved for GroupA vs GroupB?

does anyone know a sql-statement to find out if versioning and/or approval for a folder is activated.
i checked the tables in database, but did not find a matching entry.

Error " Data missing for the entry check while creating a new waste code

Hi all, While setting a new Waste code I get the error " Data missing for the entry check, correction:". while filling the NAM- WASTECOCAT - LER item.
This sould look for the catalog's name included in the phrase set but for some reason it doesn't find it giving me this error.
I am changing original Characteristics, phrase set, classes, and value assignment type. Just to have my own estructure with Znames for all of them.
I have also change the enviroment parameter "WAM_PHRSET_WACATLG" with the name of my phrase set.
I have checked everything several times watching for typos or looking for a missing step.
I have even tried including my new Z's characteristics in the classe and living the original SAP_EHS_1024_001_WASTE_CATALOG. (changing the enviroment parameter WAM_PHRSET_WACATLG to SAP_EHS_1024_001_WASTE_CATALOG) and it works.
I will like to change this characteristic by Z_EHS_WA_WASTE_CATALOG
Phrase set to Z_EHS_WA_WASTE_CATALOG.
enviroment parameter WAM_PHRSET_WACATLG= Z_EHS_WA_WASTE_CATALOG
After matching up the master data It should work fine but I might be missing something to get it running ok.

1.I have duplicated and changed class SAP_EHS_1024_001. to Z_EHS_WA
2. Create a copy of the 5 characteristics included in this class.

change the name by

Z_EHS_WA_REMARK.
I checked the funcion C14K_WASTECATLG_CHECK is in the value of the Z_EHS_WA_WASTE_CODE characteristic
