As is likely true for countless other long term Mozilla supporters - I've replaced all of my Mozilla products in retaliation for Brenden Eich's forced outing.

On the off chance that someone who cares actually reads this, I 'll simply comment that I have pushed non-Mozilla products aside for many years in favor of Mozilla and what I believed to be an honest pursuit of individual freedom. Your CEO resignation exposes that to be tenuous at best.
As you certainly must realize, you've really stepped in it now and the damage is really only starting.
The rub isn't whether or not me or millions like me agree or disagree with Brenden Eich's position on traditional marriage, but the utter intolerance demonstrated through these actions in the very name of freedom and tolerance.
How unfortunate. I suspect this may be the final nail on the Mozilla coffin. Time will tell.

This really is a subject for a different forum. We're focused on technical support here.

My iCloud on my phone is under another persons account I however am no longer with them and want to cut all ties and is there any way for me to change my iCloud account or will it affect my phone? And it's photos, apps, music?

You have to delete the iCloud account but you can keep all your data such as Contacts, Calendars etc. when you delete the account you will prompted to "Keep on my iPhone".
All your purchased content (like apps and music from iTunes Store) belongs to the original ID and you have to re-Purchase them under your Apple ID.
Photos in Camera Roll remains in Camera Roll.
Photos in photo stream that are not in Camera Roll must be saved in Camera Roll.
Photo that previously synced from iTunes remains in photo library until you synced with another iTunes library (another computer).
Also sign out from iMessages, FaceTime and Home sharing (Settings>Music)

  • Outlook 2007 .ost file corrupt / scanpst.exe 3-4x daily & 3 to 4 runs before "clean", long term issue - need help on how to repair my .OST FILE once and for all, please...

I've had many issues with my .ost data file (couple years) with:  very slow going into outlook 2007, scanpst.exe 3-4x before its "clean", and have to run it few times daily.
No major issues i can pinpoint, but just SLOW, hangs at times, file less than 1GB, IT people just mess it up more, etc.
NEED some PROFESSIONAL minds to help me get this data file cleaned up once and for all... forever hopefully.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

Why the need to repair it?
    You could:
    1. Create a new Outook profile a different name and a new ost will be created ( leaving the old one there)
    2. Close up Outlook completely, delete the existing.ost and re-open Outlook to create a new one.
    3. Close Outlook completely and rename the existing .ost and re-open Outlook to create a new one.

I am unable to back up my ipod touch, I try and do it manually and it sits on "Backing Up.........", it has been sitting on this all day.  I am on the free 5GB plan, availabe storage is 2.3GB, any suggestions

    Hello mig04,
While looking into the issue you are experiencing I came across some helpful information. In an article called iCloud: Troubleshooting creating backups found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3992 there are a number of steps to help get your issue resolved.
    General troubleshooting
    General information
iCloud Backup requires a Wi-Fi connection to the Internet.
Automatic backups occur when you've plugged in your iOS device, locked the screen, and have connected it to Wi-Fi.
You can manually start a backup by tapping Back Up Now in Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup (requires a Wi-Fi connection to the Internet).
iCloud Backup will provide helpful information and status messages related to backups at the bottom ofSettings > iCloud > Storage & Backup.
If automatic backups don't work as expected, test to see what happens when you start a manual backup by tapping Back Up Now at the bottom of the Storage & Backup screen.
Backups and restores both take time, especially if you have a lot of data or a slow connection. Depending on the size of your data and the speed of your network, you may need to give more time than you expected to a backup or restore.
Make sure you have at least 50 MB of free space available on your iOS device before you back up. If you have no space available on your device, iCloud Backup can fail in some cases. You can verify how much free space you have available on your iOS device in Settings > General > About.
    Cheers,

  • Long term planning in ECC for materials planned in SAP APO

Hi SAP PP and APO Experts,
I would like to know whether it is possible to plan a material in SAP ECC with Long Term Planning to create Simulative Planned Orders in ECC, when the MRP Type for the material is set to X0 (Planning in SAP APO).
    Warm regards,
    Prem

    Hi Dhaivakumar,
    Appreciate your prompt response.
My business is MTS. I have made all settings for LTP planning for the material. (M|RP Type is set to X0-Planning in APO). When I execute the transaction MS02, I get the error message "Material 5200000013 J310  is not planned automatically. Message no. 61008". The details of the error message is:
The material 5200000013 in plant J310 or in MRP area  is not included in automatic MRP because
either the MRP data for plant J310 or MRP area  has not been created
or an MRP type has been entered for the material in plant J310 or MRP area  that does not allow automatic MRP.
    Warm regards,

  • Long term viability of DNG

I'm not sure if anyone can really answer this but if folks feel like giving their $.02 about this subject, I'd appreciate it.
I'm a new LightRoom user and based on my earlier threads a few weeks back, I started using DNG as part of my workflow as opposed to just importing RAW files.  Based on various threads/posts in some photography forums, like dpreview, I'm not wondering about dng.  People have panned it and even went so far as dismiss the long term usage of it, likening it to the jpg2000 format that withered and died.
Since I cannot go back to my NEF files once converted to DNG, I'm wondering if folks would like to chime in on  this, i.e., do you use DNG, are  you worried about adobe not happy with the adoption and possibly dropping it sometime in the future or are those concerns baseless?
Thanks for any and all posts
    Mike

I had this same question, although I approached it more like: what's more likely to still be around 10 years from now: support for .NEFs or .DNGs?
Remember, .NEF is not really a single format, but a format tied to a specific model of each camera. So it's not a question of whether .NEF support will be around, but D80 .NEF support, D90 .NEF support. D3 .NEF support, etc.
Imagine the state of software 10 years from now...what are the odds that Windows / Mac / Photoshop (or any other software) is going to support a RAW image format from 10 years prior? Is Adobe  going to test every function of its software with every .NEF format Nikon ever created, or at some point are they going to start dropping support for older (read: obsolete) formats?
On the other hand, .DNG is a single format regardless of camera make or model (and although there are versions of DNG, they are backward compatible). Also, Adobe has a lot of time, money, and pride invested in the DNG format, and I think they are in it for the long haul, if for no other reason than a self-serving one: if you were an Adobe product manager, would you rather support 1 DNG format, or 50 .NEF formats, 50 .CR2 formats, etc.
So at the end of the day, I thought: if it's 2019 and I'm buying new software, is going to be more likely to support my 10-year-old D80 .NEF format, or is going to support the .DNG format that Adobe is still supporting?
I decided to put my eggs in the Adobe basket. I'm already somewhat tied to them with Lightroom and Photoshop. But as a safety net, I *do* back up all .NEF images upon import, and I do export every finished image to .JPG.
Other than having a crystal ball, I figured that's about the best I could do.

  • JATO Long-term Viability

What is the long/short-term viability/supportability of the JATO framework? Would it be foolish to begin development of a large-scale effort on this platform?
If not viable long-term, where is SUN going with these services?

  • QM, Inspection Lot with Long-Term and Required Characteristic

I want to know if it is possible to print a Certificate of Analysis (COA) with a required, long-term characteristic, if the inspection lot is using the special function "Short-Term Inspection Completed". And then a special Usage decision is made.
Our dilemma is that we have materials that must be shipped for pre approval with a COA, before certain QM tests have been made, and we want to be able to print the COA, but the required flag stops us.
So, what we really want is to require the characteristic if it is one usage decision and not require it if it is a special usage decision related to a "Short-Term Inspection Completed" inspection lot.
We also, would prefer not to have multiple COA profiles to handle, this would cause too much extra data handling.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
I If your Characteristic , whether it is short term or long term, is not marked as REQUIRED characteristic then there will be sure botheration for you to perform UD w\o performing the RR for them. It will prompt a message, which tends to be warning normally. But the characteristic is not REQUIRED and is OPTIONAL one then there will be no message , no botheration.
But one thing is very clear that if you want to print the Result of some MIC or characteristic,
    then
    1. it must be recorded for the result.
    2. it must be maintained in the COA profile.
At the other hand if you don't wish to print the result of some characteristic, whether it is short term or long term, don't keep it in the COA profile. System will not print it for you.

  • Long term planing.

    Hi guys
what is long term planing. can anyone send me some info about that.
what is the diff between longterm planing and mrp.

    Hi,
Basically LTP is simulative MRP to simulate and see all the results like production capacity plan/ raw material plan/ profit margin. here we are using the same master data like material master, recipe, BOM etc
In MS31 - you create a LTP version where you can mention the PIR version where you enter the planning data in MD61.
Please refer the link for complete details,

  • Vendor's long term plans regarding actualizations

    Hi,
Possibly we will decide in 2014 to purchase MBP.
It will be than the first Apple's product in our environment.
If it should run that way we expect to use the mbp for approximately
    next 10 years.
How does the Apple's current long term plans conform with the above target
regarding actualizations (bug fixes, security patches) for
OS and all other on-board software of mbp version currently in sell?

Oh, and the medium I want to use needs to scale high. Very high. Into the order of more than a decent amount of TBs... like, say, 40 or 50. Of course that nice, round figure wouldn't pop up out of nowhere the day I have my plans in order, it'd grow - slowly - over time. So not only do I need something scalable, I need something that can scale slowly.
So kinda like a NAS or external HDD type of solution, except one that doesn't use failure-prone media like HDDs. Unless there's a kind of hard disk out there that doesn't fail very "easily" and lasts in an order of years?
    -dav7
I believe there is nothing that exists in the world, unless you pay huge money for Solid State Hard Drives. The only solution I see is using a bunch of rewritable double layer Blu-ray discs. I don't think there is any proper solution for what your looking for. Your looking for the perfect that doesn't exist.
I'm not sure how long SSDs will last and I don't think there is any reliable information out there, wether an SSD I plugin now will still work in ten years. Plus you would need one hell of a lot SSDs to store Terabytes of data. BlueRay is probably worse than DVD regarding reliability, until the manufacturers get more experience with them.
Am I the only one to see a pattern with dav7 opening threads looking for things which don't exist?

  • Extending Long-Term Protection (tape)

    Hi all,
This should hopefully be a simple Q&A.  I'm using local disk for short-term backup - roughly 30 days.  I also have a tape library attached that I use for Long-Term protection. The protection group is configured to keep weekly run tapes for
8 weeks, and the monthly tapes are marked to keep for 3 years.
If I reconfigure the protection group to keep the monthly tapes for 5 years, will it update the time-stamp for any previously writtent monthly tape?
Example:  On May 1, a monthly tape was written w/ a 3 year retention period (as per the protection group).  If I edit the PG to reflect 5 years instead of 3, will that tape on May 1 update with the 5 year retention policy?  Or will it still only
reflect 3 years, because that was the policy at the time of the write?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Yes, by default the monthly tape recovery points should reflect the new recovery retention period.  We introduced a registry setting to prevent that from occurring for customers who do not want the default behavior.
    DPM 2012 Sp1 UR2 KB2706783 see Issue 8
Expiry dates for valid datasets that are already written to tape are changed when the retention range is changed during a protection group modification.
For example, a protection group is configured for long-term tape recovery points with custom long-term recovery goals. Recovery Goal 1 has a smaller retention range than other recovery goals. In this configuration, if a protection group is changed to remove
Recovery Goal 1 and to keep other recovery goals, the datasets that were created by using Recovery Goal 1 have their retention range changed to the retention range of the other recovery goals.
To work around this problem, create the IsDatasetExpiryDateChangeInModifyPgAllowed DWORD under the following subkey, and then set its value to 0:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Data Protection Manager\Configuration\MediaManager

  • LONG TERM INSPECTION CHARACTERISTICS

can any body guide me   my quality plan have short term and long term characteristics  0010 operation i maintained  all characteristics is short term characteristics  and 0020  operation all characteristics link with class  i am not maintained   short and long term
my query is  i am not enter any values in 0010 operation  i enter 0020 operation characteristics but once i done  usage decision this  characteristics  not update for batch  means  if i maintain any long term characteristics  in quality plan  system should not update for batch characteristics
if any body done this business kindly revert me this is urget .

No need that all characteristic should have status '5'.
But the result only which has status '5' would be updated to batch characteristic value.
If a batch characteristic is long-term and required characteristic, the status would be '1' when first usage decision.
When you record the result for the long-term characteristic, the status would changed '5'.
Then you should save usage decision againg for batch characterstic update.

  • Short term planning & long term Planning

    Hi PP Guru's
!  . I have scenario like this I am having many trading Plant and the requirements are collected and Sales person preparing VA31
Scheduling agreement for 1 week ( Short term ) also for 10 weeks ( long term ). In trading plant ( planning  / delivery plant ) there
is no master data other than material master is Maintained in SAP system
2  . I am having Production Plant  and  need  to address this requirement May be through SPk 40 .
My question is How the requirement should I transfer whether i need to manually create manually PIR and copy into Production
Plant or is there any other way to transfer the requirements from SA ( VA31 )
    3. I want to adopt planniing strategy 52 - Planning without Final assembly because my Planning of certain SFG Procured externally
should not trigger as per my FG requirements but as per my rolling Plan for 10 weeks for which I am PR having from MRP for
Long term procurement material which is having lead time say 2 Months I am converting PR into PO using ME59N transaction with
      weekly Lot size .
    4.  For Short term Procurement material I have lot size as TB which is having less lead time say 2 - 5 days max.
Could you please tell me using this strategy 52 how my PIR will consume and  Reduce and in which stage . If i am doing PGI using
641 Movement type from Production Plant and PGR using 101 movement type .
    5. For my Procurement for Long term with A class material how can I reduce my inventory may be space constraint and Cost
Constraint how can I receive this material for my Production.
Marks will be awarded with Max for right answer

  • Long-term planning: planning details of work center capacity

    Hi,
we need to know what is the effect on planned production orders (generated by MPS, transaction MD40) of the flag <b>&#8220;long-term planning&#8221;</b> in planning details of work center capacity (table name: RC68K; field name: KAPLPL). We made a test  analyzing planned orders scheduling details in <i>Stock requirements list</i> (MD04) and in the <i>Planning table</i> (CM21) in both cases: with "long-term planning" flag set and without this flag for the same work center.
The schedule of planned production order on that work center is the same in the two instance.
    Could you suggest us something?
    Thank you.
