ATP Item without Run Data Collection?

Hi,
Can we use ATP functionality (Not GOP) by defining ATP Rules in the system and attach it to the Inv. Org without running Data Collection Program?
I am new to ATP Functionality and planning to setup it in R12. All Gurus are requested to help me on this.

Can I add more then one mask item on the data collection ?

Hi,
I have a requirement, for example as follows.
ex.
Data collection: DC01
Parameter 1: P1 and Type is text.
P1 parameter just only allow two values, "AB" or "CD".
Data collection's mask can do that? If not, any good soultion can do that?

Hi,
There might be the case to use Formula to interpret the input value to one of 3 possible options.
Though, you can consider the easier approach:
- set the parameter type to Numeric;
- set MIN = 1;
- set MAX = 3;
- set Mask = #.
This implies that only 1, 2, or 3 can be entered.
In Data Collection Prompt, you can decribe which number corresponds to which colour.

Report showing items without transaction data (materials without sales)

Hi,
I need to create a report (in BW for retail), listing all the articles that has not been sold for a given month and store (plant). My thought was to create a report, setting a condition listing quantity = 0 and set Access type for result values to Master data. But this is not working.
Having tried the standard SAP slow seller query on the material movements qube (0IC_C03), I did not see this giving me materials with no movement.
Anybody have any tips how to solve a query where you need to list master data that does not have any transactional data in the cube?
My only thought is to create a new cube, and fill by looping on my material master and looking to the transactional data and if there is not hit, the material has not been sold that month, but I'm hoping for a smoother solution.
Any help is much appreciated.

thanks for you reply.
I have tried the query with show all master data and condition quantity = 0, and this list a huge list of articles, (to me it seems like the whole material master). Luckily it's not a huge retailer, the material master is aprox 50k records. But the output did not seem to be correct. And it was slow. And again, no store will be keeping the whole material master for sale, so this will list everything, not just the ones relevant to the store.
My second option will require more work, by updating a "no sale" cube/dso and loop on all master data, but this will be done once a month, and then the work is done at evening/nights, and the report should be fast. It's not to much work to create the routine, but running it I assume will be time consuming.

ATP Based on Data Collection

I am working on a fresh implementation project where I want to implement Scheduling Features of OM. (Based upon Collected Data)
I have already applied Patch related to R12.1.2 and also ran ATP Partition Program. Now, all the table and Partition names are in Pair. I have dropped unwanted partitions as well. Setup Profile Options
Now, my question is, at what time, I need to run Data Collection? (After loading all the items / loading all the open transactions)
How Often, I need to run Data Collection?
Do I need to select all the organizations while setting up the instance?
Appreciate your timely help.
There are few notes available on Metalink related to Data Collection and related Setup but it will be really great if someone can help me setup and understand this feature.

Run the DC after loading all items and onhand quantities and open suppliers (po, work orders) etc.

You should run a full DC every night and schedule a program called "Continue collection" every 20 minutes or so.
Do I need to select all the organizations while setting up the instance?
No. Setup only those orgs which will impact ATP.

Can we run parallel data collections to collect multiple source instance.

Hi,
We have a business requirement where we will have multiple Source(ERP) instance and single Destination(ASCP) instance. We would like to check if we will be able to run Data collections in parallel to collect multiple EPR instance in the same time window. This is to reduce the total planning process time duration as following data collections we will be required to run multiple plan runs.
Please help me with your expert comments

You may instead use Continuous collections to save on time so it can run collections from both instances periodically throughout the day thereby reducing a single timespan to collect all the data.

SAP Personnel Cost Planning - Data Collection Employee not providing hours

Hello,
I am implementing SAP PCP and have created a 'Salaries; Cost Item. It has both Salary $ (1003) wagetypes and an Hour amount (1305 Normal hours) wagetype attached to it. When I run data collection, I only get the $ amounts for Infotype 0666. Is there a setting I have missed in order to bring the Hour Amounts into the 'Salaries' Cost Item in Infotype 0666?
Conversly, I checked the SAP help and it looks like I can also bring in Hours via another Cost Item and attach that to a Statistical Key Figure. However, I can't see where I can attach a WT (hours) to the Statistical Key Figure.
Can anyone help me out? I appreciate any help you can give.

1) Create a new cost item of the Statistical Key Figure Type
2) Create a symbolic account
3) Assign the Hours wage type to the symbolic account
4) Assign the cost item to the symbolic account
That way the Hour wage type will then be related to the Cost Item. The issue you may have is if the Hour wage type is already assigned to post to an existing symbolic account.

Is there a way to hide todos without due dates?

I have gobs of items without due dates. iCal shows them all! Is there any way of having it hide those?
I am able to hide todos that have a due date in the future (past the view date of the calendar), but I cannot find an option for hiding the masses of chores, list items, things to read, etc. that have no dates on them. Fortunately, they do show up at the bottom of the list, but...
Also, is there a way to hide todos of medium or low priority? Again, I'd like to focus my attention on the most pressing items!

LMS 3.2 Campuss Data Collection Does Not Start

I Discovered devices correctly in CS>DCR . Initially there was no problem in running data collection in Campuss Manager. But now when i try to run data collection manually or by a scedule, it does not start. Although the notification appears that "notified server to run data collection" but nothing happens then.
Also, I applied " net stop crmdmgtd" and then "net start crmdmgtd" and no error was reported. After this, data collection was successfully run, but just for once. That means, every time if i have to run data collection manually or by a schedule, i have to stop and start crmdmgtd ???
Please advise what to do.

LMS 3.2 is installed on Windows Server 2003 service pack 2.

It looks like you are on Campus Manager 5.2. This should be fixed in 5.2.1. Proceed to upgrade to this version and then see if Data Collection runs fine. If you still have any problems, post the latest ani.log.

Is it possible to directly pull liquid tag from an available collection of items without looping

I'm wondering if it is possible to directly render a liquid tag from an available collection of items without first looping through those items.
So lets say I output a webapp module to a collection and I know I just want to get the first item's name from those item/s (perhaps the webapp is intended to only store one item for example).
Could I do something like:
{{webapp_1.items[0].name}}
Or a particular item number, say the 3rd item:
{{webapp_1.items[2].name}}

Ah ok I see now. I was using the object name (webapp_1) I saw in the {{this | json}} output BEFORE I made a collection for the webapp.
So why does this data look to be available in the json output before assigning a collection but it can't be accessed by liquid until a collection is made, and when a collection is made it changes the object name in the json from 'webapp_1' to 'myCollection' ... whereas the globals object is available but there is no collection for it as such???

SignalExpress projects without data collection hardware

I am new to LabView SignalExpress. Our production NI system is connected to NI Hardware and is collecting data and providing live display 24x7. I am trying to learn that display / data collection system. I have copied the project file to my office desktop computer. However, I am not able to load that project or develop a similar program on my office computer, which is not connected to any hardware. Is there a way to run Lab View in a simulated mode without any hardware connected? Are logical devices supported by Lab View? Are there drivers for logical devices on a computer? For example, the computer's hard drive can be viewed as a logical device and Lab Vew can be used to display MB / sec in a chart.

You can create virtual hardware in MAX that will appear in Sig Ex.
If you launch Measurement and Automation Explorer click Devices and Interfaces from the list on the left. Now click Create New..., Click Simulated NI-DAQmx Device.
You should now be able to build your hardware profile from the available selections.
Next time you launch SigEx these devices will show up if you select a supported signal type.

Error While creating a regular item without any demo data.

Hi All,
In RMS13.1.1, during creation of an item without any demo data, and entering all the required inputs on the item master & itemsupp form. When we click on “Retail by Zone” the following error message got displayed “Exchange rates does not exist” on the Item Retail Price by Zone window form.

What you can do is open the Form's fmb code in Forms Developer IDE, or switch on session level or database level SQL_TRACE to see the SQL statements that the Form is firing to the database. (Find the tracefile in the udump folder). Replaying the SQL statements from the SQL trace file in e.g. SQL*Developer may lead to a cursor or block that e.g. does not return any rows. You may need to replace bind variables' placeholders (:a1 etc.) found in the trace file with the relevant business values for your items, zones, etc.

Data Collection Jobs fail to run

I have installed three servers with SQL Server 2012 Standard Edition, which should be identically installed and configured.
Part of the installation was setting up Data Collection which worked with out problems on two of the servers, but not on the last where 5 of the SQL Server Agent Jobs fails.
The jobs failing are:

I have tried removing and reconfiguring the Data Collection two times using the stored procedure msdb.dbo.sp_syscollector_cleanup_collector and removing the underlying database.
Both times with the same result.

I tried running a repair on the SQL Server installation.
This solved the problem.
Only thing is that now I have to figure out the mening of these last lines in the log of the repair:
"The following warnings were encountered while configuring settings on your SQL Server. These resources / settings were missing or invalid so default values were used in recreating the missing resources. Please review to make sure they don’t require
further customization for your applications:
Service SID support has been enabled on the service.
Service SID support has been enabled on the service."

While executing Data collection task, I am getting error "Item is not defined in Cons Chart of Accts 01", What could be the reason?

Data Collection - values remained filled in from previous run through route

Hello,
We have an SFC that is running through a route the second time that requires specific Data Collection to be captured, but when Data Collection is attempted the values are all pre-filled in (and grayed out) from the previous run through the route.
The Data Collection needs to be entered in each time it is run through this route, especially if it is an RMA no matter how many times.
Am I missing a setting somewhere?

The product goes through a normal route and is completed, SFC status = DONE.
The Product comes back and goes through an RMA route. First Operation data needs to be collected so it is entered by the Operator. The Product continues on and is completed, SFC status = DONE.
The Product comes back a second time and goes through the same RMA route. First Operation data needs to be collected, but it is already filled in with the data from the first time it went through the RMA route.
I was just wondering if I missed a configuration part or if this is a bug?

Most likely "CSCtd49439 Data Collection never completes, and UT acquisition cannot run " which affects the CM 5.2. TAC could provide you patch or you need upgrade your CampusManager to 5.2.2.
