ATP Temporarily Assigned Stock Problem

Hi All,
We're having a problem with ATP checks ignoring stock assigned to status T - Temporarily assigned stock/requirements, and double-promising against any quantity that hasn't been yet allocated to R - Reserved or F - Fixed.
For example, batch 0001 has 400 pieces allocated in F status, and 100 pieces unallocated and in A - Available status.  If we enter Order 1 for 100 and save, this stock correctly moves from A to T.  If another Order 2 is entered however, we are able to put up to 100 on the order and it will allow us to save.  If we put 101, 100 will promise, and 1 will reject... when all 101 should reject, since 100 are already promised to Order 1 and we have no stock in A.
I cannot find anywhere in configuration where this T status is now being ignored by ATP checks.  Thanks if anyone can help!
-J

Also I forgot to note that we are running AFS.
Yes.  There is an option in the availability check control configuration for "Include sales reqmts".  If this is checked, ATP is supposed to take into account requirements generated by existing sales documents.  We have it checked, but it is still ignoring these sales requirements.

    J,
I am unfortunately hopelessly ignorant about the AFS solution.  The best I can do would be to refer you to the SAP Best Practices site for AFS, which has a bunch of config docs that might help

If you don't get any responses in this forum, the PP forum, you might also try the Industries Solution General forum at

  • ATP category assignment in APO

    Hi Experts,
how is it decided in APO which ATP category will be assigned to which material doc.
why is it that ATP cat "CC" is for stock. If I want to use CS instead what are changes do I need to perform in R/3 and in APO.

    Dear VS03,
the ATP categories are defined in customizing (transaction SPRO) to an "ATP Group" and "Business Event". This "ATP Group" can be then assigned to an appropriate material and the business event is assigned to the document category. Sales order = A , Delivery =B etc.
You can change also the assigned Stock categories in SPRO: APO- GATP - Product availability check - Maintain check control.

  • Assign Stock To customer

    Hello experts,
we are on erp 2006 (beverage) and need to assign stock to a specific customer. It is not a consignment stock so MB1C might not be the case.
The material belongs to us so it is a logistics execution issue. By the time of loading the trucks we must be able to control specific characteristics demanded by customer such as expiration dates, otherwise we can get all the load rejected.
Can anyone suggest a way to assign stock to customer like this? Maybe some extra function of is-bev?
    Points will be rewarded...
    thanks a lot

    Hi,
You should use batch management with system classification (characteristics and classes)

  • ATP check for 'stock in transfer'

I have a scenario which I created a Sales Order for 100 EA of product 'X' shipping from DC01 to a customer. DC01 does not currently have inventory for product 'X'.  SAP has inventory only available in DC02.
I created a (two step) STO and an outbound delivery shipping inventory from DC02 to DC01.  I issued the 100 EA of product 'X' against the outbound delivery.  Transaction MB5T shows the 100 EA 'in transit'.
Under my availability check, on my sales order, the checking rule scope displays, a check on 'Include Stock in transfer'.
Why am I unable to view my stock in transit of '100' EA from the STO process when I look at the ATP check ?  How can ATP view the  'Stock in transfer' from the two step STO?
    Thank you,
    Gustavo

    Hi,
Check the settings in t.code OVZ9.
Check the box include purchase orders and select A or X in the field Incl. rel. order reqs field.
After making these settings, just test and update the results.
Do you have batches in the STO? If so are they in restricted status during "in-transit"?

  • GATP: ATP bucket assignment for supply elements - how to use BucketLogic ?

    Hello experts,
I have a little issue with applying correct bucket logic - hoping somebody has a hint for me on this.
    My case:
I have a PurchaseOrder coming in on Date_X, Time 00:00 in R3 --> same day and time in Product view in APO
I have a ProductionOrder coming in on Date_X, Time 24:00 in R3 --> same day and time = 23:59:59 in Product view in APO
.. this means both elements should create ATP supply qty to confirm a SalesOrders for Date_X
My general ATP settings in APO are very simple:
"ShiftReceipts" = 00:00, "IssueLimit" = 00:00 (there is no offset defined etc., demand & supply bucket are in synch and should behave like R3 ATP check)
Now if I apply in the "progressiv" Bucket Logic in the ATP group
--> the PurchaseOrder becomes available a day before Date_X (problem, too early)
--> the ProductionOrder becomes available on Date_X (correct)
Now if I apply in the "conservative" Bucket Logic in the ATP group
--> the PurchaseOrder becomes available on Date_X (correct)
--> the ProductionOrder becomes available on Date_X+1 (problem, too late)
I believe its somehow linked to how SAP is handling the supply element assignment to an ATP bucket in case it's falling exactly onto a "bucket cut line" ...any help is very appreciated !
    Regards
    Thomas

    Hello Michael,
tks for the hint. I'll give it try but ...
I want to avoid "exact" logic since SAP is not recommending it for performance reasons (we are running multiple times a day massive BOPs for several plants). Basically we want to gain the BOP performance advantages over R3 using the ATP time series aggregation with gATP - therefore I'm playing around with "conservative", progressive" in the ATP bucket logic.
I simply need to have all supply elements of a day in R3 assigned to the same day as available qty in APO. I wonder why such very simple case is not managable in APO - meanwhile my guess is that we have a bug here (using SCM5.0 SP13) - but I haven't found anything related in OSS.

  • ATP Checking Rule - stock transport sch. agmnt

    Hi friends,
i created a New checking rule (ZB) in <b>/NOMGP</b> - stock transfer sch. agmnt. for inter company stock transfer. i attached it with a checking group(Z0) and made scope of check. And assigned with doc type LU, supplying plant, delivery type NLCC & checking rule (ZB). the Z0 checking group is assigned in mat master in sales org/plant view.
After creating delivery (VL10*) , in dlv i am getting Checking rule as "B". so i am not getting the ATP checks as per Z0-ZB setting. (checking group is coming correctly from mat master).
<b>Can I get the checking rule ZB ??? in Delivery (environment -->availability )</b>
    thanks in advance

    Hi,
just maintain the same cheking group in mrp3 view of materailmaster also

  • 2 Step Transfer for Special Stock Problem

    Hi,
We had just activated business function LOG_EAM_ROTSUB and LOG_EAM_ROTSUB_2 in our system. This gives us flexibility in handling special stocks and among other allows us to use mvtyp 313 with special stock. Referring to SAP Help page here it is possible to perform 313 Q followed by 315 Q.
As mention in the SAP Help page, 313 Q will "removes the relevant quantity from the unrestricted-use stock of the original storage location and temporarily stores it in the blocked stock of the new storage location"; of which therefore I should be performing 343 Q (blocked project to unrestristed stock) NOT as 315 Q as suggest by SAP Help. And by the way, I did 343 Q and it work, but need to be posted manually rather than post place in storage referring to 313 Q material document.
This is where I have the problem. Is there any way to config for mvtype 313 Q to be followed by 343 Q instead of standard 315? Or any other workaround so I can have the 343 Q referring to 313 Q?
    Appreciate any comments and solution.
    Thanks.

    Normal Stock
313      -     unrestricted original location to in transit new location
Place in Storage with referring to above material document
315     -     in transit new location to unrestricted new location
    Special Stock
313 Q    -     unrestricted original location to in blocked stock new location (see 1st paragraph of this link)
Place in Storage with referring to above material document
315     -     it defaulted to to 315, upon posting error of no stock (cause should be 315 Q)
    Manual Place in Storage
315 Q     -     error to enter WBS Element (does not recognize correct WBS element I entered)
    Transfer Posting Block to Own
343 Q     -     blocked new location to unrestricted new location (SUCCESS)
    Hi Jurgen,
    See my problem now?
    1. System should defaulted 315 Q (if there's a workaround config for this then it's settled)
    2. Couldn't figure out why it is not recognizing my WBS element entry
    Thanks for quick reply though.

  • DHCP & self-assigned IP problem-Airport doesn't work

I'm not really a technical type, but I'm pretty quick to pick things up and several weeks of trying to deal with this issue has made me pretty knowledgeable about things related to it specifically.
    Background:
I have a month-old Macbook Pro that runs Snow Leopard and is up to date on all its software stuff. On our home network we have another pretty new Macbook Pro running 10.5.9 and a fairly old Macbook also running 10.5.9.
We have a Linksys WRT54G wireless router. Our network uses a 40-bit Hex WEP password.
    Problem(s):
When I try to connect to our wireless network, Network preferences tells me that it cannot connect because of a self-assigned IP address. Sure enough, the IP address DHCP comes up with is of the 64.XX.XX.XX variety. Google's revealed that this is a common problem for all recent versions of OSX, back to at least Tiger.
The "subnet mask" it comes up with is 255.255.0.0, which is different from the settings on our other (working) computers, which is 255.255.255.0. I'm not sure what this means, or whether it's significant. Renewing the DHCP lease either comes up with the same 64.XX.XX.XX type or, sometimes, it comes up with no IP settings at all. The most frustrating thing about this is that if I chose "DHCP with manual address" and type in any in our set that I've confirmed isn't in use and hit "apply", as soon as I go back to the panel it has reverted to the 64.XX.XX.XX type.
I've also tried manually entering the router/subnet mask/IP data, as well as the DNS numbers, and that leads to the Network Settings connectivity dot thing being green, but the internet still doesn't work. In those cases, diagnostics claims that everything is fine up to and including the ISP, but that it's unable to connect to the server and internet.
Of note: some people with a similar problem have talked about networks with this problem working intermittently, but mine seems to be consistently broken.
Initially I was able to avoid fixing the problem by using our neighbors' unsecured wireless network, which is sort of awful, I know, but at least it kept me from having to deal with this for a while. Today it started to do the same thing to that network. Both networks continue to work on our Macbook and other Macbook Pro, which is why I don't think that it's a router problem.
I've been able to connect to our other computers through computer-to-computer networks—going through our main shared network (and thus the wireless router) doesn't seem to work—which I think shows that the Airport card/hardware itself is intact (?). I did try connecting to the internet through the "internet sharing" option on our Macbook, but that had the exact same problems.
Another thing that may or may not be relevant, but is equally infuriating:
I've also noticed that my Macbook Pro has more trouble staying connected to a network than our Macbook—even when it was working, it disconnected/timed out extremely often, which is something our Macbook never does, even from the same location. When I try to connect to a network it spends a very long time displaying the "searching for network" animation in the menu bar icon, sometimes after the Network Preferences pane believes that it's connected, and sometimes even after I hit the button to turn Airport off. It's also started refusing to connect to any networks at all, on occasion, which is especially evident in the process of the diagnostics box thingy, because there it actually tells me it's unable to connect rather than just playing the searching animation for ages.
Here are some other things that I've tried:
    setting up a new 'location'
    restarting the computer
    deleting the airport preferences file
    restarting in safe mode
    restarting open firmware
confirming that the firewall allows all incoming thingies
    resetting the router
making sure the keychain password allows all applications to access it
connecting to the internet through a computer-to-computer network from another machine
Because the situation has deteriorated over time, I'd also like to know whether people think that it's two problems (the type of router then later the airport hardware(?)/software(?) itself, perhaps) or just one. Since I've tried basically everything besides switching out our router, I'm kind of inclined to blame it on that, especially because one of the more plausible explanations for this problem that I've heard is a time-out error due to Airport expecting a faster response than it's able to get from older routers; however, the fact that other networks haven't been working means that it's not likely to be just the router. If it's just one problem, which is the simpler explanation, then I guess there's something properly wrong with my computer's software, in which case I guess I'll take it to the Apple Store. :/
I'm in love with my computer otherwise, and I'll admit that I spent a good twenty minutes sobbing out of frustration over this. Any help would be immensely appreciated.

HI and Welcome to Apple Discussions...
    Try Changing the Airport Channel
Open AirPort Utility, located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder on a computer using Mac OS X.
Select the device you’re setting up, and then click Manual Setup. Enter the base station password if necessary
Click AirPort in the toolbar, and then click Wireless.
Choose a new channel from the Channel pop-up menu.

  • No internet - self assigned ip problem?

I have an Intel imac (OSX leopard, 10.5.8 )and an ethernet modem connected direct to it. The lights are on as usual on the modem but i cannot get the internet. When I look at the ethernet status in network in system preferences it says I have a 'self assigned ip'and may not be able to connect.
I've tried using the mac assistant which tells me I have an ethernet connection but says that both the internet and server have failed. This assistant also advises on ISP status and having run the test a few times it tells me sometimes that the ISP is ok and other times that it has failed. I have tried running the ethernet to an airport express too. Again this lights up as it should (solid green light) but still provides no internet. I've tried connecting to this wireless network with the imac and with an ipad too. Both find the network and connect to it but neither can get any internet from it. Any advice anyone can provide would be very much appreciated, thank you.

Ive been having a similar problem myself. Heres the situation:
Everything runs smoothly with Airport. No issues there. Ive had to invest in a couple home plugs in order to get better wireless signal at my other accomodation. Was fiddling around trying to set up the ethernet connection but it doesnt seem to want to connect beyoun Network settings. ISP, internet and server all fail.
Im completely stumped as to why this is happening when my mac is able to freely connect wirelessly to the same network. I took into consideration it may be a problem with the homeplugs but ive tried a direct connection into the router via ethernet with the same result. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards

  • Self-assigned IP problem - still no resolution!?

I have a Macbook which is about two and a half years old. I have never experienced any real problems with it, especially regarding connections. I have been connected to my home wireless network (BT homehub) ever since I got the laptop with no issues. It has always picked it up the second I turn it on and never drops.
One day, I was traveling back home on the train and I tried my luck at connecting to the trains free wireless, but it didn't work. When I arrived hom, my computer would not connect to our wireless. Somehow when trying to connect to the trains wireless, my preferences must have changed or something meaning that my airport now has a "Self-assigned IP address and may not be able to connect to the internet".
I went through all of the diagnostics and assistant things, but just kept going round incircles. I re-booted, I tried everything I found online on tis community and others but nothing works.
I have renewed the DHCP Lease - No luck. It says "Configure IPv4: Using DHCP", so it's not that.I tried connecting via Ethernet, but I have the same issue with the Ethernet connection via Airport.
It is not my Router or internet connection because others are using it in the household with no issue. I went a week or so not knowing what to do. Then I had to go back to Uni for a while - there I was able to connect to the internet using the Ethernet cable they provide (we don't have wireless so I couldn't test that) and that was fine, working as smoothly as it has done for the two years I have had the laptop.
I am now home, and still cannot connect to the internet. Can somebody please give me any other options/advice? I am at a loss, and desperately need to access the Internet for work!

I was having the same problem with the wifi not connecting to our home network on only one of our Macbooks.  It kept giving itself a self assigned ip address.  Everything else would connect fine to the home network and the computer with the problem connected fine to every other network aside from our home wifi.  After reading this thread and trying everything on it, this is what finally fixed it:  I didn't have anything under the 802.1x tab either.  So I:
Turned the Airport off and completely deleted the Airport in network preferences.
Then I went to keychain access and deleted EVERY wifi network password saved under both Login and System.
I turned the computer off and removed the battery and did the SMC reset by holding down the power button for 5 seconds.
When I restarted the computer, I reset the PRAM by holding down OPTION, COMMAND, P, and R at the same time RIGHT AFTER I pushed the power button to turn it on and before the grey screen appeared.
It reset and when the computer was back on, I added the airport again and joined my home WEP wfi network.  It worked perfectly!  Now I don't know if all of these steps are required to fix the problem but this is what worked for me.  The Macbook with the problem was a black Macbook running 10.6.8.  Good luck!

  • Valuated stock problem in inventory.

    Hi all BI gurus ,
Iam working on Inventory module , I have loaded the data for it .
          1. For 2lis_03_bx i.e initial stock we have data from 1999 to 2006 on R/3 side .
          2. And we are loading the data from 2005 to 2006 for BW .
But  The valuated stock report is not matching with the R/3 data (MB5..) .
          Also for 2lis_03_bf
          1. We have data from 1999 to 2006 on R/3 and when Iam loading from 1999
to 2006 datas are not matching .
I have followed all necessary steps i.e.
First 2lis_03_bx with marker update and then 2lis_03_bf and um with no marker update .
Can anybody please tell me where Iam wrong . I don't know much of the functionality of inventory .
    Thanks.

    Hi Akash,
On which day have you done your initialisation of 2lis_03_bx . this will bring in your opening balance to BW. and then the movement data for historical stock movements can be brought into BW using BF. Or you can do vice a versa as wel.
But check is in RSA3 for validity. If your historical data is not matching as you have mentioned then just check wherther that has been archived in R/3 (since the range you have given is 1999-2006, i doubt whether you will have all data for this period on your R/3 database )
if it is archived then you will have to etract it from your archive files
Do assign points if it helps

  • Rule in ATP for allocating stock

    Hi Team,
Where can we check the rule in ATP ,,ie, the percentage specified for allocating the stock to the customers.
    Thanks for the help.
    Thanks,
      Vijesh

You have not explained clearly what is your current configuration.  In normal circumstances, stock would not be reserved against specific customer / sale order.  Once the required stock is produced, production team would transfer the stock to Unrestricted Storage Location.  Of course, via configuration, you can allocate stock against particular customer or sale order.  Please search the forum how to achieve this.  Alternatively, I am not sure, whether you are looking for Product Allocation functionality.  Please search in Google with this topic.

  • Consignment issue stock problem

    Hi Guys,
One consignment issue sales order of 500 qty has been created but only 139 qty got confirmed.
When I check in MMBE for the particular customer, consignment stock is there. 503 qty.
Still, cant able to confirm full qty in order.
What could be the probable reason?
And what needs to be done to up the stock?
    Please advice.
    Cheers....!!
    Chetan.

In my earlier project, same problem was coming repeatedly from the end users and in almost all the cases, the issue order quantity was more than the proforma quantity.  Other than that, whatever I suggested is only my assumption.  In fact, what I would suggest is that for that material, you list all open KE sale orders created and compare with quantity despatched from parent plant.  I feel definitely, the root cause of your problem should be here only.
Will suggest in case I got any other clue
    thanks

    Awnindra Dutt Tiwary

    Hi,
You can see the safety stock in the MRP 2 view of the Material Master.
If the stocks available, make sure it is not the safety stock.
    Hope that helps.
