Attempted repair of 3.5.1 database yields message that it may "...remove data supported only in newer versions..."
After starting Aperture with Command+Option keys, and being presented Photo Library First Aid, then choosing Repair Database radio button, then clicking on Repair --- I am presented with a dailogue:
"This library has been opened with a newer version of Aperture.
Repairing the library using this version of Aperture may remove data supported only in newer versions of Aperture."
This does not add up, as I am running 3.5.1, which is the newest version.
So, I am concerned about running the repair.
Thoughts?

Richard, I am seeing the same. For some libraries Aperture seems to be confused about the version:
My Aperture version is 3.5.1, the library is version 3.5.1, but still I am getting this message when trying to repair, even after repeated repairs.
The repair does not seem to cause any harm, however, but I cannot recommend it as safe, as long as we do not know, what is causing this.
I am seeing this only for libraries, that have been opened by the latest iPhoto 9.5.1. Is that the same for your Aperture libraries?

Added: Repeated "Repair" does not help, but after one "rebuild", the version number will revert to normal and stick, and the warning is gone. But don't try to "rebuild" without first updating your backup of the Aperture library.

If you're not a developer then you really should not have upgraded.
I'm unsure how you can fix this as you have already done a back-up on iOS 7 and apple don't support firmware downgrades. -
When attempting to open email I repeatedly get a message that my username or password is incorrect. I have tried everything to reconcile including deleting and reopening the account however nothing has worked. Any suggestions?
If it is a POP account, there could be an issue with the outgoing server setting. It will not hurt to check this and make sure. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional. -

When I run a system utilities check and select HD. i always get a prompt the the SUID System/Library/CoreS has been modified and will not be repaired. How can I access this file so that I may repair it? Left unrepaired . There are a lot of files that do not have the correct code. They are one thing but should be another

I purchased Adobe InDesign thru the 19.99 monthly individual deal...and now after several attempts to download the program ...I get the message that my computer is basically to old to support it...What now? Cancel my subscription??

You might be able to use CS6 since it is still being sold so you might want to consider that. -
When I attempt to download new updates or purchases to my ipod touch generation 3, it starts to download, then gives me the message that the network has timed out and I need to check the connection. I don't understand this because each time I have an active internet connection. Any idea why this is happening?

I just tried to play some songs that i have in itunes and i get an error message that says file can't be located. It appears to be on about half the songs of the thousands I have in there. I do have a new computer and transferred the itunes library about a month ago. I have successfully managed ipod on new computer. I wonder if it is a licensing issue but this is just the second computer althought the third hard drive these songs have been on. It is affecting songs loaded from CD's and purchased from itunes on the old computer alike.

When tracks in iTunes display a it means the file cannot be located; it may have been moved or deleted. You'll have to locate the file manually if it is still available. For more information refer to the following article:

Just received IPad four yesterday and am having difficulting syncing with IMac. I receive this error message:
The iPad “Blaine's iPad” cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 11.1 or later. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes.
When I go to www.itunes.com I am unsusseful in making the download. Please step me through the process.

I cannot get my Mini Cooper to sync up with my nano thru the USB port. When I hook up with the cable that came with the Nano, it acknowledges that it is an Ipod however it displays the message that I do not have the correct cable. When I use the audtio adapter cable from BMW it doesn't see the Nano at all. Has anyone else had the issue and what did you do to over come it I tried my nano in another persons car (a Ford) and it worked with no issue.
This can sometimes be the result of a faulty/damaaged USB sync cable. Do you have another cable you could test it out with?

After failing to update the Op system my iPad is now frozen on a screen showing a USB connector pointing to iTunes. It is connected and nothing is happening. I have not been able to reset or restart the iPad3.

I launched Aperture with Option Command on opening so that I could repair the unified database. After I select repair from the menu, I keep getting a strange error message that says "This library has been opened with a newer version of Aperture. Repairing the library using this version of Aperture may remove data supported only in newer versions of Aperture." I selected cancel and checked that I am running Aperture 3.5.1 and there are no updates showing up when I select Software Update. So how could I have opened it with a newer version of Aperture before? And what is it going to remove?
Aperture is telling me that my unified library needs to be repaired. I figured that out myself when photos started disappearing in events and albums in iPhoto, even though the event or album showed several photos were there in the number of photos in the top right, no images appeared. But I have never received this error message in Aperture before and I do not know where it is coming from or what it is going to do.Here is the Open Library View #1:
Even though my unified library is the default library, just in case this problem was being caused because of the Aperture 3 Trial Library version (even though that is not the library that Aperture was opening), I upgraded that library too. Here is the Open Library Info after that library upgrade:
I retried the Aperture repair on my unified library and got the same error message on launch:
But I am running the repair anyway because I do not know what else to do. I will let you know how that goes when it is finished.

Does anyone know what this means? Is anyone else getting these messages consistently when running repair permissions? i did a clean installation of Leopard and have run the updater. Permissions seem to take a while to repair, and i am going to install the larger 10.5.1. updater as soon as it finishes downloading... but i did run the 40 mb updater that software update downloaded.
