Authorization to access Web Client UI - CRM 2007 (v6)

When I create a user in the system, I have to assign it a business role.
Apart from assigning it work centers etc., I also need to assign a PFCG role.
What authorization objects should I include in that PFCG role that will allow the user to access (login and view the homepage) of the Web Client UI?
I assigned the user to a position in the Organization model, to the position I have assigned a business role.
I have tried giving it the authorization object for BSP, but it doesn't help.
After the login screen, I get the message saying "Sorry, Logon is not possible because you have not been assigned to a business role. Contact your system administrator. "
Anybody facing the same problem? Is there any standard Role that I can assign to the user which will give it access to the Web UI?

HR authorization objects (starting with P_). However, these
authorization objects must always remain switched on.
The system ignores the fact you switched off these authorization objects
when saving. All other data is saved when you continue.
I always get an error in our system which says:
"XX field value(s) for object S_SERVICE were not entered in the profile"
what can I do with this?

Hello,
You can find detailed presentations in the learning maps available on the SAP Service Marketplace http://service.sap.com/rkt-crm for release CRM 2006s, CRM 2007, or CRM 7.0. In case I didn't mention it before, Intent-Driven Interaction (IDI) was first introduced and is only available starting with CRM 2006s and above. In the Interaction Center area, there is a presentation called "Rule Based Automation and Guidance" which covers IDI. Managing authorization for IC web client

Where can we find autorization objects used for the IC web client ?
- I cannot find any documentation on this topic.
- There's no transaction code and by the way no SU24 definition.
- Declaring the IC WEB BSP in transaction PFCG, no object are associated to the profil.

Due to our service center geographic organization we want to control acces from the country code of our custumer.

I will test the following solution :
1- Add the shadow transaction BSP_CRMD_BUS2000116 in PFCG in order to get the BSP_APPL object
2- Add the transaction CRMD_ORDER & BP in order to control document usage from country code

Authorization for IC Web Client Profile

Dear Guru,
This is the first time I involve in IC Web Client
Project.
I would like to limit IC Web Client Profile. What is authorization object which I have to limit ?
Beside that, if users miss authorization in the web screen, what is user have to do ( in R3 we can order user to run /nsu53 or I run ST01 to trace ) ?

You can use SAP delivered roles
SAP_PCC_IC_AGENT
SAP_PCC_IC_MANAGER
SAP_PCC_CAMPAIGN_MANAGER.
Each of these roles have access to Interaction Center BSP application 'CRM_IC' as well as other PCUI applications used in IC Web Client.
Authorization object for BSP applications is 'BSP_APPL'.
Talk to your security person and ask him to assign these roles to the user who are going to use the application.
You can even customize these roles.

How to add an input field in the web UI of CRM 2007

Hi everybody.
I want add an Input field in the Web UI Screen. How it is possible.
I want get the information with detailed descriptions if possible with screen shorts.
What type of methods it will be generated and what are the code we entered in those methods.
Take according to any example. But with detailed description.
I am new for the CRM 2007. So, please give the screen shorts with proper data.
Not only adding the field. If any data i entered in the adding field then that will be stored in the tables otherwise no use by adding the field.
So, Can anybody please send a proper information according to this.

How to add the same field in the BOL.
Please expalin about those concepts with full of screen shorts messages.

If you want to add extra standard fields (like one you mentioned), you can use Component Workbench and Copy the configuration and create your own configuration and make the "Available Fields" appear there.
If the standrd field is not available, you can Add Context Node using wizard and make it visible.
If its a custom field (a new one); you will have to use EEWB and add the fields and then make it visible in the UI using Component Workbench.

Setting up IC Web Client in CRM 5.0 SP06

Hi Experts:
I am trying to set up IC Web Client on our CRM server. The CRM consultants have already set this up in SE80. However, after calling the transaction CRM_IC, i enter the user name and password, but 60 seconds after that I get the time out error with the following message:
Detail: Connection to partner timed out after 60s
I beleive that this is happening because the following parameter hasn't been set up in the instance profile:
icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP, PORT 1080, TIMEOUT=30, PROCTIMEOUT=600
However, I am not sure on the Port number, should it be 1080 or 80<Sys No.>
Please let me know what I should do here

Arright:
I had to add one parameter for the instance profile and modify another in the instance profile. Please see OSS note 824554
ADDED: Parameter Name: icm/host_name_full
MODIFIED: icm/server_port_0 (SEE OSS Note for details)
icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP, PORT 1080, TIMEOUT=30, PROCTIMEOUT=600
WE also noticed that the initial load of each item took a lot of time. ~20 minutes.
Please be advised that this is development environment.
Once the initial objects were loaded..it works good.

I have to develop a Web UI report in CVRM 2007 for displaying Activity List.
I know how t o develop a report in SAP gui but what I want to know is how to develop a web UI report in CRM 2007?
Please let me know the steps.

Hi Sangeeta,
You can create a normal GUI report and then assign a transaction code to it.
You can use transaction launcher to call this transaction on Web UI. Hence you would be able to execute the report in Web UI.

Authorization Check in Business Transactions in CRM 2007

Hi everybody, I have a problem whit the authorization check in CRM 2007.

I follow this steps:
1.- Created a new single role on the PFCG
2.- On the Menu tab add the transaction BSP_CRMD_BUS2000108 (Trax for LEADS)
3.- On the authorization tab create a new profile and in the authorization data set the values for CRM_ORD_OP: PARTN_FCT 00000012, PARTN_FCTT *, ACTVT '02,03
4.- Generate the authorization.
5.- Set my user "TESTUSER" on the user tab
6.- Save the profile
Then, I login to CRM whit TESTUSER and I see all the leads. I miss something, what could be the problem ?

Hi Shaji, Pankaj and Jushan, thanks four your answers.
I still have the same problem, I want to see only my leads that I´am the responsible, after I generated the authorization and assign the role to my user from tcode PFCG and SU01, I logout and login again and no changes, I still see all the leads.
Another test I made, I changed the authorization data and set the values for CRM_ORD_OP: PARTN_FCT , PARTN_FCTT 0008, ACTVT ' (person responsible) and the results was the same, see all the leads.
How works the User Comparisons and how can I check for errors in my pfcg role ?

BSP Application for starting Web UI in CRM 2007 (6.0) using SE 80

Hi All,
Could you let me know the name of the BSP application that I need to execute using SE80 transaction
in CRM 2007 (6.0) to start the Web UI from the CRM GUI. Also, let me know if there is any other way
(tcode... etc) to start Web UI from GUI.

You can use BSP Appl CRM_UI_FRAME to start the WebUI in 6.0 version.
Also you can create a favorite in the start menu, right click on fav and select add other object, then choose BSP application and put application name as CRM_UI_FRAME, some description and start page as default.htm. Thats all now you can directly click on that favorite and launch the WebUI

Error accessing Web Client ??

OCA new bee...
I had installed OCS and Apache webserver and installation went on fine. While accessing the Oracle client from web, I get a Internal Server Error page. The error_log of apache has the following:

I think I should clarify why I'm wondering that.
I use Apache with the Oracle Calendar (standalone) and had quite a bit of trouble with things at first. I kept trying to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH and ORACLE_HOME within the httpd.conf file by using the SetEnv directive. That never worked, and an Oracle tech told me that it seems like a bug in Apache. The only way I could startup Apache correctly was to run 'apachectl startssl' as a user that had the paths set correctly.
So in my case, I had to edit the ocal.conf file. I modified the FastCgiServer lines so that instead of showing LD_LIBRARY_PATH and ORACLE_HOME, they showed LD_LIBRARY_PATH=<pathname> and ORACLE_HOME=<pathname>.
I don't know if this will help, but maybe it will give you something to look for.

Where can I get what are the modifications and what are the things to keep in mind.
We did a lot of custom developments which are now part of standard. In such a case what is the best option do we go on with the custom developments or do we move more to the standard.

steps would be
1. go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
2. open the 'hosts' file in notepad and type in ur IP address and the URL. There will be other entries also in this file, and u can refer to that for format.....
eg:
10.121.986.87 xxxxxxx.yyyy.com

Serial number search in Web IC in CRM 2007

Hi guys,
I am searching for a serial number in Web IC. The search is successful. However on confirming the IObject, the business partner ( Sold to ) associated with the I Object is not found.
However the same thing works if I use the Installed base component number to which the I Object has been assigned.

Hi Ashish,
Normally, partners will be attached to the IBase rather than the Iobject. And when you perform a search on an IObject, the IBase info will be displayed as well and so is the partners attached to the IBase. Usually, serial number will be the IObject name which when you search for it in IC web, you'll get the Ibase and partners. I am not sure why yours is not showing. Probably you can debug the method eh_onconfirm where the bp search is being perform; lv_bp_col = get_businesspartners( ).

Unable to login to IC Web Client

Hi All,
I am unable to log in to the IC Web client in CRM 2007. I get the logon screen when I go to
http://<host>.<domain>.<port#>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_ui_frame/default.htm?
but when I enter my CRM user id and password it does not log me in. I can log in to CRM SAP Gui without any issue.
I have activated all the necessary services in SICF.
is there anything i'm missing out please advice?

You mention that after you enter your CRM user id and password the system does not log you in. Do you encounter some kind of error message? Do you just see a blank screen? Perhaps you can describe in more detail what exactly happens.
If you are experiencing a blank screen, there are quite a few SAP notes (and quite a few other threads -- in both this IC forum and the new CRM 2007 forum which address this topic). For example, please check:

AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) functionality in CRM 2007

Do we have AMI A(dvanced Metering Infrastructure) functionality in CRM 2007 ?
Actually one of our client is having CRM 2007 and wants to test the AMI functionality in Interaction Center Web Client
in CRM 2007. They are not sure whether CRM 2007 also support AMI and if yes to what extent.
Is there any SP avaible to get this functionality.
Post of the presentation available in the net is mentioning CRM 7.0.

AMI features comes with the combination of CRM 7.0 & ECC 6.0 (specifically Enhancement Pack 4, which is due for release soon. AMI is not part of CRM 2007.
