Auto Start Air Application

I know in most of the 3rd party projectors like Zinc and
mProjector you can install an application to automatically startup
with the O.S. How would we do that in AIR?

startAtLogin is probably what you are looking for.

Is it possible to pass the parameters to the AIR application?
Something like:

If yes, how can I get those parameters inside the

Auto start web application in scheduler task

hi expert,
I 'd like to change an standard package in portal and run it in scheduler task, this is an application which is writte in HTMLB java.
I have download the package and extract it in NWDS. This application obtains the parameters from URL , ie. via
IPortalComponentRequest/IPortalComponentReponse component.
Is it possible to runing this in scheduler task service? any experience where I shall start ?

Firefox 11 will not install air or start air application from the badge install

Seems to work in Chrome, but I need this to work from within firefox...11 is the default for the windows platform we must use.
Running window 7 64-bit for development, and the air app is html javascript (J Query) created in dreamweaver 5.5

Strange - You can't even install it directly on the phone from the App Store. Have a look [http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1702 this Apple troubleshooting article]. Beyond that, Apple would probably be better equipped to help you.

Auto-start application on Container/Server restart

What's the easiest was to have the container auto-launch a specific application whenever it is started/restarted? I assume this would also happen if the entire server were rtestarted?

If you put a server in your project and you put the servlet at auto-start your application will start automatically when the server will start.
To do that you just have to use the element:
<load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
in the servlet tag.
server.xml:
<application name="foo" path="../applications/foo.ear" auto-start="true" />
http-web-site.xml:
<web-app application="foo" name="foo-web" load-on-startup="true" root="/foo" />

Auto start Java Card application

Hello,
is it possible to start a Java Card application from the SIM card right after the mobile is switched on?
I talked to a guy from a SIM card manufacturer and he told me it's possible since the device checks on start if a Java Card application is present to display it in the phone's menu, but it's device dependant how it's done and if the application really will be started (which sounds kind of strange).
Can someone give me more details if it's possible to auto start a application and how it's done ( code snippet would be great ; )?

The first event after ME startup, which STK applet could catch is Terminal Profile.
So, in applet class constructor should be smthng like
ToolkitRegistry reg = ToolkitRegistry.getEntry();
reg.setEvent(EVENT_PROFILE_DOWNLOAD);
and applet will trigger on Terminal Profile arrival.

AIR Application Silent install

Is it possible to start AIR application immediately after Silent install.
We have already signed up Adobe AIR Runtime Distribution Agreement.
and i am using below command line for silent install.
Airinstaller.exe -silent -eulaAccepted -location "C:/Program Files/Abcd" abcd.air
It works fine. But i want to launch AIR application immediately after install. Is it possible?

Thanks for posting the log. It appears that the install is failing during the MSI portion of the install.
Microsoft has just released a brand new tool that should help you resolve this problem. Would you mind giving it a try and let us know how it works for you? When running the new tool, go through the uninstall process and try to remove AirWrite from your system. Once that's done, give your command line another try.

Deleted auto start / launch objects

Hi,
since quite a while my iMac 2010 with the current OSX version 10.7.2 deletes most of the autostart / launch objects.
A few, maybe 3-4 objects remain but they are never the same except Xmarks sync.
Then I reenter them into the list, either by dragging the app in there or activating the autolaunch setting within the settings of the app.
Then sometimes a week, sometimes after the next restart or after a week nearly all elemts are gone.
I tried lots of things like, repairing the disk and the permissions, start cleaning and the periodic scripts and so on.
Nothing helped.
Do you have any solution or idea?

Yes there are some ways, but none are muti-platform:
- first, you can wait until MIDP3 that will include this functionnality, but we don't know when...
- second, you can use the API available only on SonyEricsson that does auto start an application
- third, you can develop your own daemon on Symbian or WM that will start on mobile startup and launch your Midlet using the push registry, but then you'll have a user confirmation to confirm if the user allows or not the application to start.

Its Cam auto starting and stopping and other installed software applications as well with gap of short period of time. its not only disturbing me but also consuming battery rapidly

Drag Garage Band to the trash.
Go to: System Preferences > Account > Log In Items
Use the +/- signs to add/delete programs started at log in.

Start AIR (mobile) application from Android Service

Hi I'm hoping someone can give me some direction.
I would like my custom Android service to start my AIR application. An Android Service starting a regular Android application is well-documented... the basic idea is to create an Intent (a system message) that points to the Activity (an application screen, normally a java class), and launch that from the service. The code looks something like this:
Intent i= new Intent(getBaseContext(), screen.class);
i.addFlags(Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_NEW_TASK);
getApplication().startActivity(i);
Can the same idea work with an AIR application (made with Flex)? If so, what is the java class reference for the Activity? Or what? Or is there some other method that must be used?

What version of AIR are you using or does it matter? My apps seem to come back from background or idle with no issue.

Auto start application in web logic

Hello,
I need to auto startup an application in a unix server. The application uses session bean to access the database.
Is it possible to auto start up the application using a cron tab/cron job because the application is using session bean residing in weblogic server?
If not how do i do that? convert the session bean into normal java classes and access database without using a session bean?

I tried adding the listener .
It work in tomcat but after i transport it into weblogic 5.1, i give this error.
Received SAXParseException from Sun Parser at line 5, column -1: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Element "web-app" does not allow "listener" here.
I removed all other elements and it stil l wont work...

Here's how to do to this and not the least bit frustrating.
Open System Preferences, click on Accounts. When that window opens lick where it says: Login Items Now, under the box on the right click the box on the right. A dialog box will open. Navigate to the Applications folder, select the application you wish to launch on boot. *You may be prompted for your administrator password. Quit System Preferences and reboot. That's all there is to it.
