Auto start web application in scheduler task

hi expert,
I 'd like to change an standard package in portal and run it in scheduler task, this is an application which is writte in HTMLB java.
I have download the package and extract it in NWDS. This application obtains the parameters from URL , ie. via
IPortalComponentRequest/IPortalComponentReponse component.
Is it possible to runing this in scheduler task service? any experience where I shall start ?

OC4J 9.0.4 won't start web applications event if they marked as to be...

OC4J 9.0.4 won't start web applications after it was restarted even if they marked as to be loaded on startup.
I have following line in my http-web-site.xml oc4j configuration file:
<web-app application="default" name="app" root="/app" load-on-startup="true"/>
and in web.xml (<web-app>/<servlet>/)
<load-on-startup>0</load-on-startup>
But when I invoke following command:
java -jar admin.jar ormi://localhost admin Matrox -restart
my application won't be started after server was restarted... :( If I shut it down and start it then it will be started...
Is this a bug? How can I fix this? Please help! SOS! Mayday!

Can you try the "-updateConfig" option of admin.jar?
java -jar admin.jar ormi://localhost admin Matrox -updateConfigTo my vague memory, the "-restart" option does not necessarily implies reading the config files again.

Include WDJ application in Scheduler task

I would like to schedule an WDJ application : I have the par file for scheduler task, and the ear for web dynpro application,
How can I include the ear in par ? shall I do this in portapp.xml ?

Ben,
I don't think that we can a WD application to run periodically.
But there is an option to run a job periodically using KM Scheduler and schedule the same in portal.
You can create a KM Schedler application using NWDS and deploy this into portal. Basically, this a PAR based application.
To schedule a job in portal: System Admin -> System Config -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management -> Global Services -> Scheduler Task -> set the time table to schedule.

No wonder you are having problems. The document you have linked to is full of errors and inconsistencies.
Anyway, find log4j.properties under your expanded war file location and update it so that
log4j.appender.file.file=logs/rbacx.log
is updated to point to a location that exists and is writable by weblogic, eg:
log4j.appender.file.file=/opt/oracle/weblogic/user_projects/OIA/logs/rbacx.log

Stop/Start Web Application - Not redeploy

          (WLS 6.1 SP3)
          When I deploy an application using the console the JSPs are all seen as up-to-date
          and it does not need to recompile them.
          If I try to deploy it using the command line "weblogic.deploy update" the JSPs
          are always seen as out-of-date and it has to recompile them.
          Is it possible to use the command line option to start my web application without
          it having to reload the application directory and then recompile all the JSPs?

actually i think it's something related to the org.xml.sax.SAXParseException

Starting Web Application Designer

Is it possible to start the BEX Web Application Designer from GUI? I know you can start BEx Query Designer by running RRMX. Is there a similar command in BW GUI that also starts the Web Application Designer?

Auto Start Air Application

I know in most of the 3rd party projectors like Zinc and
mProjector you can install an application to automatically startup
with the O.S. How would we do that in AIR?

Auto-start application on Container/Server restart

What's the easiest was to have the container auto-launch a specific application whenever it is started/restarted? I assume this would also happen if the entire server were rtestarted?

If you put a server in your project and you put the servlet at auto-start your application will start automatically when the server will start.
To do that you just have to use the element:
<load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
in the servlet tag.

Auto start Java Card application

Hello,
is it possible to start a Java Card application from the SIM card right after the mobile is switched on?
I talked to a guy from a SIM card manufacturer and he told me it's possible since the device checks on start if a Java Card application is present to display it in the phone's menu, but it's device dependant how it's done and if the application really will be started (which sounds kind of strange).
Can someone give me more details if it's possible to auto start a application and how it's done ( code snippet would be great ; )?

The first event after ME startup, which STK applet could catch is Terminal Profile.
So, in applet class constructor should be smthng like
ToolkitRegistry reg = ToolkitRegistry.getEntry();
reg.setEvent(EVENT_PROFILE_DOWNLOAD);
and applet will trigger on Terminal Profile arrival.

I don't know how to redeploy Calculation Manager Web Application Server, plz help me in deploying this.

Did you actually try to look at the Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Installation and Configuration Guide for instructions as suggested ?
To redeploy a component, run the configurator that can be found in the start menu under Foundation Services. Then select "modify an existing instance". Then for Calculation manager, check the box "Deploy to application server".

How to disable scheduled task through database?

I would like to know to disable scheduled task without OIM running, preferably through the database.
OIM has out of the box schedule tasks that are set to run when OIM starts, and I would like to prevent that from happening.
Is is possible to disable these tasks when OIM is not running?

The QRTZ92_TRIGGERS table contains the trigger time of the schedule tasks. You can directly modify the START_TIME and the NEXT_FIRE_TIME columns to future dates in order to prevent the scheduled jobs from starting.
You can also stop the Scheduler, which is responsible for kicking off the scheduled jobs.
To manually stop the Scheduler go to http://OIM_HOST:OIM_PORT/SchedulerService-web/status
You can configure the oim-config.xml so that the Scheduler is not started when OIM starts.

To disable a schedule task, you have to have OIM running. You can use the APIs, modify the schedule tasks metadata (<taskStatus>false</taskStatus>), or use the UI to disable the schedule tasks.

I already checked the file exists and there is a folder "desktop" for the user which runs the scheduled task (same user as in normal powershell)

Unable to start Oracle Application services on Apps Tier12.1.3

Hi,
I've configured a Apps Tier on AWS, it was up and successfully running.
I stopped it using Execute $INST_TOP/admin/scripts/adstpall.sh
When I'm trying to start it again using $INST_TOP/admin/scripts/adstrtal.sh , it is failing with :
