Automatic task assignment @ Item Level

Hi,
As you may all aware, in the quality notification tasks can be assigned @ Header level as well as Item level. Now through response profile, I am able to assign the tasks automatically @ header level when priority is selected for the notification. But is it possible to assign automatic pre-defined tasks @ item level?
Please advise.

Through Response profile , it is possible at header level , but auto assignment at item level is not possible, bcoz at item level the task assignment w.r.t to object overview.

Assigning Item Level Security

We have couple of power users who need to be able to change an item's wording periodically.
We added a text item to the same page group and enabled the security for these users.
Now, my question is as following, when that specific user with the priv. runs our portal url, would they be seeing an EDIT link so they can only Edit the specific item? Is this the way is suppose to work? In some cases, they just want to change the wording of the text.
We are trying not to use TABS.

First, to save your questions to go into very vague terms, let me put some specifics into them, and you should also put some from your side.
I am assuming that you are using 10g Portal type of an Oracle Application Server. Probably, 10.1.2 or 10.1.4 or 10.1.4.2.
Now that implies that you will have an OID and a SSO with it. Correct this model if you have anything different.
Then note that all users - without exception of their privilege status - would have to go to the same url to log on to your portal application. After authentication, each user would be taken to their respective default home pages (if they are set individually, or by their groups etc).
Users with Edit privileges on your pages will be able to see the edit buttons on those pages. Other users will not see this link. Even if they type the link to access edit page, they would see a missing privilege error.
I do not understand what you mean by 'normal users logon only to their particular system after they have selected the system they want to go into from this home page.' Elaborate your setup a little bit. Also tell us about the version, platform and how many servers do you have in your setup.

Response Profile : Automatic task determination

Hi All,
Is it possible to define response profiles for automatic task determination at item level through configuration ??
Standard SAP can be configured to assign tasks at header level based on the response profile, however, I am not able to assign tasks at item level.

Incoterms on Item level is not updated on STO.

Issue: they have created a STO with wrog incoterm, now the issue is that the Incoterms on PO--> Item level is not updated if Incoterms on Header level is changed. I suggested them to change incoterm on item level manually, but user is saying the problem is that SAP doesn't change automatically Incoterms on item level if Incoterms on Header level are changed??
What user is saying..Is this correct? or any thoughts/solution to fix this issue?
Can anyone suggest me on this?

Item level security apis

Hello:
Requesting clarification on a Content API question in 10G
Using the APIs, I have created a Page and an item heirarchy in the same page. Now in order to assign item level security, I need to call the following API to "enable" item level security on the specified item -
wwsbr_api.enable_ils_for_item(
p_master_item_id => v_category_id2a
,p_caid => v_page_group_id
,p_folder_id => v_new_page_id);
However, this throws an exception wwsbr_api.ILS_DISABLED
meaning -
"The page does not allow Item Level Security.
Cannot add item specific privileges."
But, how do we programmatically "enable" the Page to have
Item level security. - analogous to checking the box in the Page edit mode for "Enable item level security"

I'd appeciate a reply as well. For now I've been using content as a PL/SQL stored procedure in a package and then wrapping is_logged_in code around it. It works but isn't cusomizable.

Notifications: display "assigned objects" screen on item level

Dear SAP-friends,
I´ve just found the (quite) new BaDi to assign several objects (batch, lot etc) to notification (ERP 6.0 EHP 4).
What I successful did was: (1) activation of Badi, (2) assignment of object types to my notification type, (3) placing the screen area 840 onto notification header tabstrip.
The screen 840 (= dynpro SAPLIQS0 / 8410) shows now all assigned objects to item 1 (the first one).
In other words: If I assign any object it will be assigned to item 1 automatically.
OK, now the question: how to assign any object to other items? I did not find any possibility to place any screen on item level.
Is there any chance to do this?

Dear Michael,
You should first go to items tab and select the line of the item you want to assign any object and then go to the tab with assigned objects, you will see that the item number changes.

Automatic Tasks are assigning to the user even the Vacation rule Enabled

Hi Experts,
I have enabled a Vacation rule in bpm/workspace.
But I can see all the tasks assigned in the inbox for that user.
Then I have enabled the Customized rule as the vacation rule and tried to reassign the tasks to an another user.
That is also not happening. Tasks are assigning to the other user.
Our ECM version is 11.1.1.6.0
Went through all the documentations and couldn't find the solution..

do you mean the instances that were previously assigned to the user are still there in the user's queue?
Vacation rules let you reassign or delegate tasks assigned to a user once the vacation period begins. If work items are already in their queue before the vacation rule goes into effect, they remain in the person's queue. It's up to the user to reassign or delegate the existing work item instances that were already in their queue.
New instances that arrive once the rule goes into effect however, should be automatically reassigned (or delegated depending on the vacation rule's radio button selected) to the other person.

I have created a custom approval workflow. Workflow create a Task in Tasks List. Now suppose A task is assign to user1.
User2 should not able to edit\approve\reject the item.
How to give item level permission using SharePoint designer in SharePoint 2013 workflow.
SharePoint 2013 workflow doesn't have impersonation steps also.
Please suggest how to give permission on task list based on assigned To field.

In order to change permissions on a list item you'd need a sharepoint 2010 workflow according to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj728659.aspx
Unfortunately this functionality is not available in SharePoint 2013 workflows :-(
The impersonation step still exists, but it is now called "App Step" in the SharePoint Designer 2013 Ribbon. This step is disabled, though, until you activate a web site feature called "Workflows can use app permissions"

Block the Material at Item level in Sales Order automatically for delivery

Hi!
My business scenario needs a material to be Ckecked for Inspection after raising the Sales Order by thirdparty person. So, I need to block that particular material at Item level automatically for delivery and rest of the line items can get delivered. I can do this by selecting the reason for Block at Item level manually, but I want the system to get detemine this block. And one more thing is that there is NO Quality Management module for this. So, let me know what I need to configure for this effect. Thank you.....

pl check the user exit " userexit_save_document_prepare" or "userexit_save_document".
Take the help of your abaper to see if the logic written here can affect the item level block in the sales order for inspection. Create new reason for the item level block and have it triggered with this exit. Instead of hard coding which might require regular intervention of abaper for code changes for the business to be able to manage it, maintain a master data in the material master against some field with a key.
now use that key to identify if these materials require to be blocked at the sales order level for inspection. To release this item again the user has to go in VA02 mode to release the block. Let this be done after the inspection of that material.

      First Go on T.Code MASS --> Select Object Type : BUS2032 ---> F8 (Execute) --> Select SD document: Business item data : Table Name :MASSSDPOSVBKD ---> F8 (Execute) -- > Choose Selection Field (Square Check Button at Footer) ---> Select AcctAssgGr Field from Pool to Selection criteria --> Select OK.

How can we change the additional account assignment of automatically created line items in transaction MIRO. In my case the tax line item is created automatically in MIRO.
I am able to change the account assignment of consumption line item. But not Tax line item.

But FBZP is for APP not for Tax line item. Is it possible to change the additional account assignement (from cost center to internal order) in tax line item in MIRO.

How to assign profit center to automatically generated line items

                   My problem is that I want system automatically assign profit center to automatically generated line items.
                   Eg.
                         (Vat is @ 10%)
                                    Transaction                             Amount                            Profit Center
                          Purchase                   Dr                    Rs.1000/-                           XYZ
                          Vat                             Dr                    Rs.100/-
                          To Vendor                  Cr                                      Rs 1100/-
Here I have to assign Profit Center in VAT G/L by double clicking on it, in reality, system should automatically assign profit center to VAT G/L same as to purchase, because this vat amount belongs to same purchase G/L.

1. In which SAP version you are working ? Are you using SAP 4.7 or ECC 6.0. ?
2. If you are in ECC 6.0, have you activated New G/L ?
3. Segment reporting is happening with Profit Center is one of the scenario ?
Auto updation of Profit Center will depend upon these conditions. Accordingly one can provide you the solution.

Automatic Plant determination logic in the order line item level

Dear all,
I would like to know if there is a possibility to determine plants automatically, avoiding the standard plant
determination logic at line item level, to determine plant based on stock availability.
The process will be to skip the standard plant dtermination logic and drive the process through
based on ATP on plant level.
Coming more specific to the requirement the system determines the plant where the stock is available and if the stocks are not
sufficient the system goes to the next plant automaticaly and confirms the stock quantities, which also could mean that the ATP would run on plant 1 and then plant 2 and plant 3......depending on the availability of stocks with partial confirmations or full.
If there are existing user exits etc. available also when the configuration not available would welcome it.

On more option I can see is of maintaining preferred plant in Table OIDAP.
Generally, this table is used for IS-Oil plant determination.
There you can set up one preferred plant and up to four alternative plants for a combination of
- sales area
-country
-transport zone (of the ship-to party)
-material number or material group.
The plant selected depends on the availability of material in the plant/storage location.

Account assignment not copied from header to item level.

Dear All
I have entered WBS in sales order header level account assignment field. In development and in quality server it is getting copied to header to item level. But in production server it is not getting copied.
What could be the reason. KIndly guide me.

Please confirm your data transfer routine (copy control) in your production system. If its working fine in quality system then it should work in production as well.
