Company code = ABC
House bank  =  def
In bank statement from house bank Def there are items that needs to be posted to Company code = GHI
Dr Bank def  company code ABC
                               cr intercompany ghi
                               cr  Clearing   company code GHI
                                Dr intercompany ABC
kindly advise
Umang

Hello,
The SAP note 124655 explains the following:
The electronic bank statement is not designed for cross-company code
postings (this also applies to the manual bank statement). You can,
however, create these postings manually, for instance by the
subsequent processing of BI sessions or using Transaction FEBA.
However, this can lead to unwanted results in the document display
of Transaction FEBA. In this case, this is not caused by any errors
but missing system functions.

  • Posting Level 01 documents allow cross company postings - unexpected

    hi,
Previously users could not enter a PL01 document that crossed companies.
    Now they can.
I had previously thought that this was not possible for PL01 but what is happening is
when they enter cross-company postings (2 lines, one each to a different cons unit)
    the system creates 2 documents,
with 2 balancing entry lines (one to each unit) to the clearing item
    - just as can happen when a PL20 or PL30 manual posting is to the same company but cross-profit centres.
    So my question;
is this normal behaviour in BCS?
was this always possible but the users just hadn't achieved it until now
NB they are adamant that this was not possible previously, until the Support Packs were implemented sometime last year
Finally, is there a way to stop it from happening?

    Concur with Dan.
Most likely, that you've met the 2nd case: the DocType with configured  clearing ConsUnit was  attached to manual entry task. It might be not easily seen. Just check it out and remove if find.

    Dear All,
I am having a doubt regarding the cross company postings. The issue what i am facing is

But while posting the document it is giving an error stating that "maintain a unique company"
    for that i had checked
    1. two co.codes are assigned to the same trading partner(company)
    2. checked OBYA configuration
    3. checked OB60 configuration
    4. doc type is allowing the inter company postings and trading partner
In which all the settings are perfectly done. But finaaly i am unable to post the document it is allowing me to simulate(even at the point of simulate i am getting 4 line items excluding taxes) but i am unable to post the document.
Hoping the guidelines for resolving the issue ASAP

  • Checking cross company postings

    Hello Gurus,
I was trying to manually post a cross company code transaction just to check the process. I have assigned GL accounts (In txn OBYA) in both the company codes and when i was trying to post i am not able to see the cross company transaction happening. Am i missing any configuration or is there anything that iam doing wrong?? Kindly suggest me !!
If there are any particular steps that i need to follow please let me know?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
T code to set up cross company code configuraiton is OBYA.
Enter Company Code 1 and Company Code 2.
Enter Posting Key and GL Acct in Company Code 2 for Posting Made in Company Code 1 and to be cleared in Company Code 2 (for both payables and receivables).
Enter similar configuraiton for for Posting Made in Company Code 2 and to be cleared in Company Code 1.
    Cross Company Code Transactions
A cross company code transaction involves 2 or more company codes in one business transaction. For a cross company code transaction, the system will post a separate document in each of the company codes involved.
Examples for cross company code transactions are:
•One company code makes purchases for other company codes (Central Procurement)
•One company code pays for other company codes (Central Payment)
•One company code sells goods to other company code
    Steps:
•Create Clearing Accounts in each of the company codes.
The Clearing Accounts may be GL Accounts, Customer or Vendor Accounts.
•Configure the Automatic Postings for Cross Company Code Transactions by assigning Clearing Accounts for both the company codes.
Creation of Clearing Accounts in both the Company Codes (FS00)
Then at the time of entry in second line item you give in "new company code" field.
    it will work

  • Prevent CO cross company postings - cobl-bukrs ?

    Hi,
the last time I created a CO validation to prevent cross company CO postings is so long ago, that I can not remember. But i remeber something like "sender comp code <> receiv comp code".
I am trying to creat this again, but do not find the cobl field for receiving company code.
The I fould KM 0120025231 0000491809 2006 (KB21N does not check company code for intercompany posting)
where the solution is to be:
    Prerequisite: "No precondition necessary" TRUE
    Check: COBL-BUKRS <> COBL-BUKRS
Message: own created message ZZ 010 as a Message type 'E'
    1. this prevents now all postings not only cross company
    2. I dont get the idea of COBL-BUKRS <> COBL-BUKRS (like if 1 <> 1 which could never happen)
    Hints highly appreciated
    Bjoern

    Hi Bjoern,
Eli is right. I just had look at the old message. Basically she was right...you might have overlooked that she was refering to event "2"...hence the validation rule is:
    COBL_RECEIVER-BUKRS < > COBL_SENDER-BUKRS

  • Cross-company code postings - FI validation

    Hi,
We start using the cross-company code postings (transaction OBYA) between company code A and company code B and have to give authorizations both company codes to the Finance users. The idea is to have a set of G/L accounts which are allowed to be used when company code A and B are posted via cross-company code posting.
SAP recommends to implement a validation in FI to restrict the Intercompany scenatios. I attempted to create a FI validation for complete document (call-point 3) with no success:
    1)
    IC Rule: BSEG-BUKRS = A and BSEG-BUKRS = B and BSEG-HKONT IN ACCOUNTSET
    Prerequisite: TRUE
    Check: IC rule
Message: E-  Account & not allowed for cross-company postings
When I test it, the Intercompany clearing account configured in OBYA, and which is in ACCOUNTSET, shows up in the error message, which unwanted.
    2)
    IC Rule 1: BKPF-BUKRS = '0017' AND BKPF-BUKRS = '0005'
IC Rule 2: BSEG-HKONT IN ACCOUNTSET
    Prerequisite: TRUE
Check: IC Rule 1 --> IC Rule 2
Message: E-  Account & not allowed for cross-company postings
No error message is issued at all, even if the G/L account is not in ACCOUNTSET.
Please advise what I am missing.

    Hi Nitin,
    Thank you for your feeback.
I just wanted to clarify that the cross-company code posting is when company code A can intitiate a posting to company code B simultaneously (for example Intercompany re-charge, cash concentration, etc.). The trigger for cross-company code posting is the company code field on the line item. If company code A is in the header (BKPF-BUKRS) and at least one document line item filled up as company code B, the system created two documents for each company code, offsetting the Intercompany clearing account, configured in OBYA.
    For example:
Posting via FB50: Leading company code = company code A (BKPF-BUKRS)
    Item 1: Debit; G/L account 1; Cost Center 1; Amount 200; Company code A (as a default)
Item 2: Debit; G/L account 1; Cost Center 2; Amount 100; Company code B (manually changed)
    Item 2: Credit; G/L account 2;                        Amount 300; Company code A (as a default)
    The systen creates two postings:
    Posting 1: company code A
    Item 1: Debit; G/L account 1; Cost Center 1; Amount 200;
    Item 2: Credit; G/L account 2;                        Amount 300;
    Item 2: Debit ; I/C Clearing Account;              Amount 100;
    Posting 2: company code B
    Item 1: Debit; G/L account 1; Cost Center 2; Amount 100;
    Item 2: Credit;I/C Clearing Account;              Amount 100;
The only connection between the two is the cross-company code number (BKPF-BVORG), which assigned by the system once posted, as a logical connection.
I guess we could use a dedicated document type. If that's the case, how would the validation work then?
Coudl you please share more details on the BTE option?
    Thank you,
    Inna

  • Value date cross company code postings

    Dear all,
it is possible to influence the value date on a company code level via the transaction OB68. With this transaction you can state that the current date is used as the default value for the value date when entering line items. This works fine when posting a G/L posting within the same company code.
When entering a cross company code posting, the indicator in transaction OB68 is ignored and the document date is used to be proposed as default value for the value date.
Does anyone know which SAP parameters can influence the value date for cross company code postings ? If this is not standard SAP possible, does anyone already encountered this problem and, if so, how did one solve this issue ?
    Many thanks,
    Regards,

thank you for the reply ... unfortunately I expected some Z-programmation

  • While doing cross company code postings I get an error

    Hi experts,
I have an issue on cross company code postings through FB60. There is a vendor account which has been extended to both company codes. The amount of invoice is Rs.10000 of which 6000 to be accounted in company code 1000 and 4000 in company code 5000. When this is done we get an error 'A unique company code has not been assigned to company number A001'.
After trying several options, I have found one solution. In the test system I Went to classify FI  document types for document splitting, against document type KR transaction 0300 (Vendor invoice) was there. I changed to 0000 (unspecified posting). Once this was done, I was able to post cross company transactions without any problem.
I would like to know as to what would be the impact? Would this change create any other issue?
I request you to give your expert opinion on this.
    Regards,
    Ramkumar B.

    FI Moderator

    Dear,
When you are posting vendor Invoice through FB60 then system creates accounting document "KR" and when document splitting is activated in system the you have to assign Doc type KR to Transaction 0300 and 0001.
This is standard requirement. There will not be any changes by doing this.
    Hope it is clear..

  • Cross company banking

    Hi All,
I'm not experienced in FI/CO modules so don't be offended if I write mistakes here
Is it possible to have kind of "cross company banking" set-up in SAP? I mean that a customer would be invoiced out of different company codes (because he is delivired from plants assigned to different companycodes) but he would  receive always an invoice with same name & bank account number so in his point of view he would deal with only one vendor.
An alternative could be that one company does the payment transactions for other company and later settle internally the open items ==> can this be set-up in SAP?
I realize this can be solved via the cross company sales (always selling/invoicing the customers from the same entity (comp code) but delivering from different company codes) but we want to avoid this because of the intercompany invoicing that is then needed.
Thanks a lot in advance for your feedback!
    Kr,
    Bart

Hi, ok17 is not for cross company, but for CO-FI real time integration.
Ex. you maintained for "RKL     Actual activity allocation" Dr 123 Cr 567
Then while posting activity allocation in CO you'll get posting like Dr 123 Cr 567   (with corresponding CO objects)

  • Restrict cross CO area postings and allow cross company code postings

" There are two Controlling areas CA01 and CA02, for the controlling area CA02 the field CO code validation is inactive to allow cross company code postings ie., (Cost center created in one company code can be used as cost object in other company code ) Also this allows any WBS element created in controlling area CA01 as cost object in any of the company codes assigned in controlling area CA02,
Due to usage of WBS element which is created in CA01 controlling area as cost object in company code belongs to controlling area CA02, business is facing problem while doing the settlement run with error message " Document data for list of origins does not exist"
So, I have activated the field Co code validation in the controlling area CA02, which stopped the usage of WBS element between controlling areas. Also this had restricted usage of cost object between company codes with in controlling area CA02.
Now is there anyway to allow cost object usage between company codes assigned in one controlling area (CA02) and restrict usage of WBS element created in controlling area CA01 in any company code assigned in controlling area CA02.

    Hi,
As you have already activated the Co Code validation you cant restrict that only to WBS. But you can have another option
Use the validation process to restrict these errors
    This may help

  • Prevent cross-company code postings for certain document type

    Hi all!
I am looking for a possibility to prevent users from posting a "cross-company code posting" just for a certain document type.
I checked validation rules and BTEs but without success. Do you have an idea?
    Thanks for any support.
    Michael

Thanks for your reply. I have already tried to use a validation rule, but without success.
It did not work as the relevant field "New company code" (NEWBK) in not part of BKPF or BSEG, but (only) of structure RF05A. Thus, I cannot use the field in a validation rule.
Or is there a way to make RF05A fields available for use in validation rules?

  • Cross company code downpayment posting error

    Hi,
When I am posting cross company code downpayment in F-48 getting below error.
"Balancing field "Profit Center" in line item 001 not filled".
    Vendor A/c (Company A)
    Bank clearing A/c(Company B) - Profit center 25000
Problem it is not deriving the profit center for Vendor reconciliation A/c. I have used document type KZ, check boxes "intercompany postings" and "trading partner" are activated in this document type.
Default profit center has made for Bank clearing A/c and Cross company code clearing A/c. Assigned Profit center 25000 for Company A also.
Kindly advice where I am wrong, which is the correct document type to post the Cross company code transactions (Down payment:F-48, charging-off GL open item to Vendor) to derive the profit center for Vendor reconciliation A/c? Or
How can I configure in New GL that the profit center should get derived from the Cross company code clearing A/c for above cross company code transactions?
    Best regards
    Shanid

    Hi Atif,
    Thanks again for your reply.
Since we have made Profit center as mandatory in New GL charactristcs this will give the priority to enter the Profit center as
Mandatory. As I mentioned earlier we required profit center in all lines.
I have tried whatever you have said, still it is not working.
It will be great if you give a solution for this.

  • Version 4.6c Cross Company Code Incoming payment to lockbox.

In version 4.6c I am trying to find out the correct IMG configuration for processing incoming payments to a lockbox when multiple companies are using one company for banking.  Here is what I have done so far:
Here are the company codes:  2100 has house banks and lockbox set up.
0980 does not have house bank or lockbox.
OX16 - all both company codes involved are assigned to the same Company.
OBVU - Non-bank company code  0980 has 2100 set up as Paying Company Code
OBYA - Clearing accounts have been set up between 0980-2100.
OB05 - Accounting Clerk has been set up for both company codes.
OB10 - Lockbox from 2100 has been set up  for 0980.  Even though 0980 does not have a House bank set up, IMG Configuration did allow the lockbox and house bank for 2100 to be saved under 0980.
OB96 - Forms to be used were linked to 0980
One issue we are having is that when we attempt to set up a Customer for 0980 a field for Lockbox is required to be entered.  When the 2100 Lockbox is input, an error message pops up saying that 0980 does not have a House Bank.
Can someone please explain how to complete the configuration for this type of activity in version 4.6c?  Also should we be using F-28, FB05 or some other t-code to post incoming payments.

    Hello,
You can post the cross company code postings even between two controlling areas. The system does not prevent to post documents between two company codes in two controlling area. Need not necessarily they should be under one operating concern. Provided you have to make sure that you have followed the following points:
In OBY6 - To company codes must be assigned to same Company, meaning that you mus thave created a Company and that company must have been assigned to these two company codes.
OBYA - You should maintain the clearing accounts in both the company codes. Meaning that you are posting one leg in one company code and the other leg in the other company. Therefore, it is required to have the missing legs in each company code.
    Company Code1 - Posting Key 40 - Clearing Account
    Company Code1 - Posting Key 50 - Clearing Account
    Company Code2 - Positng Key 40 - Clearing Account
    Company Code2 - Posting Key 50 - Clearing Account
OB08 - In case if the two company codes have different local (company code) currencies, you may maintain the exchange rates.
You can now go to F-02 and post a cross company code transaction giving the first leg in first company code and the second leg in second company code. Missing leg in the first company code will be posted to the GL Account mentioned in OBYA and the missing leg in the second company code will be posted to the GL Account mentioned in OBYA. That means you will have four line items overall.
The system will post three document.
Document 1 in First Company Code
Document 2 in Second Company Code
    and
Document3 - Cross Company Code Document.
The cross company code document consists of the first company code document number plus company code plus last two digits of the fiscal year.
Hope this must have clarified your doubts.
Please let me know in case if you need further details.
    Thanks,

  • Cross Company Code Incoming Payment Clearing

    Dear All
    Good day to you.
I would be grateful if I could get advice on the following:
    Process:
Company Code A is receiving Payment from Customer Z of Company Code B
    Present SAP Treatment
F-02 Company Code A Bank Account is debited and Customer Z of Company Code B is credited.
F-32 Customer Z's Invoice of Company Code B cleared against the Payment received by Company Code A.
Hence this has become a two step process.
    Ideal solution needed
In F-28 or similar other transaction
Company Code A Bank Account is debited and Customer Z of Company Code B is credited and clearing also carried out then and there?
To achieve the ideal solution above what are the configurations (if any) needed.

  • Cross - company cash application for Accounts recievables

Kindly let me know how to conduct an cross company cash application. Which transaction will best accomplish this .
I have set - up the cross - company clearing account between the 2 companies.
    Thanks in advance.

If I am not wrong, your company code A receives payment from customer and you want to clear the customer open item in company code B.  If you have done the cross-company code clearing between these two company codes using T Code OBYA, then all you have to do is make the following posting in company code A.
    Dr. Cash/Bank $100 (in company code A)
Cr. Customer $100 (in company code B)
System will automatically generate the following postings.
    Dr. Cash/Bank $100 (in CoCd A)
Cr. Clearing with CoCd B $100 (in CoCd A)
Dr. Clearing with CoCd A $ 100 (in CoCd B)
Cr. Customer $100 (in CoCd B)
Clearing accounts are what you specify in OBYA.
