  • Basic configurations for running BPM in portal

    Hi Experts,
I am new to BPM. I have CE server installed and ready how to configure that to run the BPM flow in portal i have created user and assigned the required roles but the problem is still i can't see my tasks in UWL. Basically i want to get the tasks from BPM to UWL. Do we need to deploy any ear or sca for that. what roles are required to get the tasks and what configurations are need to setup. Please help.
    Thanks & Regards
    Jeetendra Choudhary.

    Hi Jeetendra,
In your process you can define the potential owners for a task by navigating to:
Open the Task > Go to User Roles Tab > Specify the Potentia Owners > You have the possibility of Choosing a user or a role here.
You need to be connected to the CE Server in order to get the lis of available users/roles from UME.
    Hope this helps!!

  • Basic configuration for Aironet 1220B

I'm trying to setup my AP so that the ethernet port connects to a hub on my LAN, just like I would connect a PC, printer or server, then us it from a wireless device just like it was on my LAN. I can see the wireless portion of the box from a notebook computer and connect to the SSID fine. I can also ping the ethernet port from a wired computer and can connect to the HTTP port fine. But the notebook can't ping anything on my LAN thru the AP. I thought one of the sample configs would have this, since it's so simple.

12.05 would be the best path for VxWorks upgrade, but you should consider converting the AP to IOS to provide better troubleshooting tools and compatibility. The conversion from VxWorks to IOS is done using a conversion image, which you can load through the browser. The only caveats:
    1. You'll want to upgrade the IOS again, after you've completed the conversion. The conversion image loads an old IOS image.
    2. You'll want to make sure you disable your radios prior to upgrading.
    3. You'll lose your configuration as a result of the conversion (though that can be a good thing). There is a conversion tool that allows you to retain your configuration, but it typically adds a lot of unnecessary junk in the configuration. With a single AP, I'd just do a straight conversion without the tool and then acquaint myself with the IOS GUI by reconfiguring from scratch.

  • Basic configuration for a WLAN Controller - 4400

I've been reading over the "Cisco Wireless LAN Controller Configuration Guide, Release 4.0".
So it looks like once you have the HTTPS enabled and the management IP set, the majority of the configuration is through the GUI - clicking your way through all the settings.
I've never used a wireless LAN controller -- so to make this quick and easy, is it possible to make a "quick and dirty cut and paste" CLI template to get it up and running with just minimal settings left to be done?
If so, could you post it? Thanks.

Well, first you will have to console into the wlc and go through the startup wizard. that is your minimum configuration to get it working. No way around this unless you build a script to automatically enter information on the startup wizard.

I have two 2800 routers connected via T1. I need a basic configuration for prioritizing my video using MQC and LLQ.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
you have to build only 2 priorization-queues. One for Voice and one for Video (with lower performance).
The third queue will be a wfq-queue with lfi to be sure that big-packets are not reasons for bad voice or video.
the signalling should be in the voice-queue.

  • Basic configuration in GRC 10 for portals

    Hi Gurus,
Could you please tell me the basic configuration details in GRC 10 for portals.
    Thanks,
    Mukesh

    Hi Mukesh,
    You can refer to https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/sno/ui_entry/entry.htm?param=69765F6D6F64653D3030312669765F7361…
However there is no such guide on Portal integration with GRC, you might need to follow below steps:
1- Create one HTTP type RFC connection between GRC and Portal system.
2- Create System Alias in portal system for GRC system
3- Deploy the GRC Portal content in Portal system
5-Portal content comes with 5 work-sets and one security role. You can assign the portal role that comes with the Portal content to user in Portal and also GRC roles to the same user in GRC system.
    Hope this helps.

    Ameet

  • Using Basic or Multi-tier configuration for WLS Clusters...

    Ok,
The scenario is: I'm using WLS6.1 (hopefully, version doesn't matter here)
with three instances clustered. Each instance provides all Services:
Servlets / JSPs/ EJBs / Database communication... I'm using the Basic
configuration described on the BEA documentation....
Now, I want to move forward to a Multi-tier configuration, where the first
layer will serve Servlets and JSPs and the second layer will serve EJBs.
The problem: On the first scenario, I was looking EJBs with the Default
InitialContext() constructor without the environment, since everybody was on
              the same JVM...
What do I have to do, so my Servlets start looking for EJBs on the second
cluster now? Do I have to re-write every single lookup? Can I use a
jndi.properties file on the first layer - on the presentation tier?
              Thanks in Advance,
              Marcelo.

              Thanks Patrick!
But my actual problem starts here. The Servlets aren't mine. We have to support
applications which run atop our product(which is a bunch of beans+RMI Objects
running on the top of WLS) in a backward compatible way with a standalone.
Will try and make a post if I can find a 'configurable' way out.

  • How to Sent Printer Configurations while Printing in SMARTFORMS for PO?

    Hi,
I took PO Print Out on LIPI Dot Matrix Printer before 10 days. At that time our Basis Consultant kept Some Configurations for that Printer. After some one changed the Configuration Settings of that Printer. Now we took a print but it is printing differently.
Is it possible to send printer Configurations while calling PO smartforms in my driver Program so that while taking PO Print Out my Print Out Specific Configurations will set automatically if antbody can change the printer Configurations.
can anyone suggest how to pass printer configuration through smartform or driver program .

  • SAP DMS - How to do an external DMS configuration for the existing system ?

    Hi All.
    Greetings.
    Request help and understanding.
Am new to the world of SAP. And request SOME clarity for understanding of DMS.
We are wanting to put an external DMS server and wish to configure for the same.
So that the load on the production SAP R/3 database is reduced.
We are now wanting to test the same on Dev environment.
    From SDN Link :
    I understand that :
DMS basically has a content server. which stores documents.
That can be accessed through Web, SAP R/3 Gui , SAP Portal.
I have gone thro various links and the following links i have found to be informative and helpful :
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/c1/1c31a243c711d1893e0000e8323c4f/frameset.htm
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/PLM/DMS+Customizing
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/59/fba637fcf7dc39e10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm
However, would like to know the following because am not getting the clarity :
    1) Is there any supported platform / compatibility guide for DMS ?
if yes, can someone send me the link?
    2) We have oracle 11g as our for SAP R/3 backend.
Windows 2003 server 64 bit system.
When i check the system status on the dev server of sap.
It says. ECC 6.0 Rel 7.00 update 20 (hOpe am reading it correctly)
After much search on the SMP site,
we finally discovered and downloaded the DMS software for unicode and / 64 bit.
Which we saw under the maintenance components separately seen for DMS 7.0
Now for this DMS content server which we would like to make it external for storage of documents -
do we need to have a separate database for this purpose as a repository.
If i run a setup of DMS - will that automatically install any default repository for this or
will it allow me to choose any other repository for the same ?
    Can anyone advise on this.
Because this link says content server is based on Instance of MAXDB : http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/59/fba637fcf7dc39e10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm
    3) I read some thing like this on some of the SDN links :
    P40 - Integration of DMS
    P62 - R&D Document Manage¬ment and Workflow
    P71 - Document management
    What are they referring to.
    4) We would be accessing these thro web, gui, customised portal.
This content server configuration is a bit confusing.
    5) Is SNC configuration required to be done for the separate DMS server setup.
If yes, how to do that ? any configuration link for that please ?
Can anyone advise on the things to do.
    Steps to do.
What all are the pre-requisites to check, before we start the set up of DMS.
Can anyone help me understand this whole thing regarding the DMS installation and configuration.
Step-wise.. from the start to end.
Because it gives me a lot of uneasiness without having everything in place before we could say we could start the whole process of configuration / installation.
Many thanks for your help in advance.
Wishing you a happy and relaxed weekend.
    Kind regards
    Indu

    Thanks christoph & pradeep kumar.
did a few more research and atleast have come to understand that.
DMS server installation has content server which works only with MAXDB.
    So my understanding is correct.
And what we see as Easy DMS is a client installation.
which probably i would look at at a later stage.
Found this link to be a little more informative :
    http://www.sapfans.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=330558
I really wish. That life were to be so easy. To call a consultant and finish it off
    Wishful thinking
    thanks and cheers

  • How to set up and test the Basic Authentication for HTTP protocol

    Hi,
I tried configuring the password based Basic Authentication for sending xml document using ebMS - HTTP protocol. I set username and password while configuring the transport server for both trading partners. I want to know, is that sufficient for basic authenticaton. When I open the URI http://localhost:7778/b2b/transportServlet, it is not asking any authentication (username/password). Please note that I have not used SSL certificate. Anyone please help me out to configure Basic authentication.

    Hi Ramesh,
Thanks for ur response. Could you please tell me where to set the Additional Transport header : authtype-basic#realm=myRealm(in which property file). In enqueue code, I could see the following attributes
    queue
    msgID
    replyToMsgID
    from
    to
    eventName
    doctypeName
    doctypeRevision
    msgType
    payload
    attachment
    subscriber
Is it possible to set username/password in the enqueue attributes?
Do i need to add username/password and Transport header in the input XML and defined that elements in xsd?

But material type is ROH , and its external procurement only.
Please let me know when we will get this type of errors.
    Thanks and regards
    Nisar.

    Hi Nasir;
    Some possible causes are;
    1.     Defining inbound delivery (Or kind of a confirmation) in the PO LI level and not maintaining the document subsequently
    2.     Not releasing the PO before the GRN
    3.     Creating the PO with a material with Grids (AFS Basic Data Screen) and not maintaining the grid value at item detail level of the PO

  • What are the basic steps for creating a content repository?

I am trying to create a document store on a file system (fsdb) that will hold files that are ftp's to that location. Is this possible using KM? If so, what are the basic steps for creating a file system repository and using it through KM? I have found stuff on help.sap.com but that only tells you what each component does not what actual steps need to be taken to setup KM, such as user rights , creating an entry point, so that all of KM is not visible, etc...
If anyone knows of any guides that show a step by step process that would be great too.
    Thanks
    Paul

    Hi Paul
First of all you need to create a new repository
Suppose you want to add all the documents under folder Paul under C: Drive
(Even you can put whole documents of C: drive into Paul)
Navigate to System Admin -> System Configuration -> Knowledge management -> Content Management -> Repository Manager -> File System Repository
There you can create a new directory by clicking on button New
Give the parameters as follows :-
    Name               :           Anything you like
    Description       :           Anything you want
Prefix (must start with /)  :  Probably same as your repository name like \Paul
    Lookup mode : caseless
    Root Directory   :  C:\Paul
NOTE:  This is the trick. You need to give the proper path means folder path which you want use as repository)
Repository Services  :  Any services you want
    Property Search : Managercom.sapportals.wcm.repository.manager.generic.search.SimplePropertySearchManager
    Security Manager         :           AclSecurityManager
    ACL Manager Cache   :           ca_cm_rep_acl
    The save it
Now see whether the same repository is coming under KM Content or not, if not may be after restart it will come.
I think the above information will help you. If still you have problem, please feel free to contect me.

    Chamkaur
