  • CProjects - How to show purchase order dates in the Gantt chart

We link several types of procurement objects like a purchase order or a production order
out of our ERP system to several cProjects tasks.
As described in the SAP help we specify the date type in the user settings, e.g. to
    Basic Dates.
With the production order everything is ok, a separate bar appears.
But the bar for the purchase order is missing.
Is it possible to choose a date type, which shows the scheduled dates for purchases
and production orders both? Which one?
    Kind regards, Mafi

    HI,
Did you mean that your issue was on PO's creator on the top on the Po screen ?
If yes, I think that some issue existed in your system. In the standard system, the system will show full name of PO's creator if the SAP account is available on SAP system ( existed on check SU01 tcode). Otherelse, system will show the SAP account ID on the Po screen if SAP account was deleted.
    Hope this usefull for you.
Otherelse, Please specify ur problem  more clearly?

  • How do I access CProjects in Sol Man

    Hi all
I've been looking through the SAP Project management tools and have started familiarising myself with SOLAR01 / 02, RMMAIN, etc but have found through digging in Google that SAP has another set of project management tools called CProjects. (By all accounts you can do Gantt charts, resource scheduling and all that Jazz?)
I think it is installed in our Sol Man solution as I can give my user the Auths required for access to CProjects inc SAP_CPR_PROJECT_ADMINISTRATOR etc.
However I cannot yet find out how to access the CProject menu's etc (if they exist as such). Can you give me some help here as to what these menu items are and how do I confirm that CProjects is actually fully installed.
Also are there any other SAP PM Tools my system should contain?
    Thanks

    Hi Mapp,
The features of Solman and cProjects complement each other to provide a complete toolset for effective project management.Solman project can be extended to cProjects to manage project phases and tasks.
To access cProjects via Solman, navigate to Environment -> Project IMG -> Select 'Logical Component' cProjects Suite or use transaction SOLAR02 and navigate to Solutions/Applications -> mySAP PLM -> Configuration Structures -> SAP cProject Suite 4.5 -> Basic Settings for cProjects.
    Hope this helps.

  • Project Status Report - cProjects 4.0 - Run time error

Under Basic Settings, I go to 'Forms for Printing and for Project Status Reports'. Here, under 'Create PDF-Based Forms', I select the form 'DPR_STATUS_REPORT_AIF' and Activate it. I then get to 'Activate Forms per project type'.I get to 'New Entries' and add 'DPR_STATUS_REPORT_AIF' and also set the 'Active' and 'Status Rpt' checked.
When I get to cProjects front end, I see the 'Project Status Report' template under the 'Status Report' tab. However, when I click on the 'Preview' button, I get to see a dump.
"The following error text was processed in the system SRP : WebDynpro Exception: SOAP Framework error: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionTransport : HTTP send returned with status code(100.101)"
Can someone please suggest how to get something useful at the click of the preview button?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Yes your basis team should tell you more about this. ADS Credential needs to be installed on the java stack of your cProjects Server. For this you will have to send a message to SAP requesting for the ADS Credential. You will then receive a credential file with its password.
However not all servers support ADS. There is a list of server names that support ADS. You can get the server name on which cProjects is installed from your basis team and I shall let you know if it is supported or not. You can also have a look at in the PAM (Product availability Matrix) for SAP NetWeaver 2004s - Additional Components at http://service.sap.com/pam

  • Cannot save status report in cProjects

    Hi,
I cannot save project status report in cProjects. When I click the save button, it just shows the timer showing saving icon but never comes out of it.
Could anyone please help and guide me where the problem lies?

    Hi ,
There may be mainly two reasons
    1) As neil say  check your ADS Installation
    2) Check the  IMG setting as follow
Collaboration Project -->  Basic Settings --> Form for printing and project Status Report
in that use Activate forms per Project type .
Select your project and click on right hand side PDF print form
you will find the list of status report , check there status report print form is active or not.
    if you standard
then DPR_STATUS_REPORT_AIF   Is activated or not.
    3) Collaboration Project -->  Basic Settings --> Form for printing and project Status Report
    in that check the BADI
    DPR_STATUSREPORT_PDF AND
    DPR_STATUSREPORT_AIF
    Is ACTIVATE OR NOT
if you create your own status report form you need to create BADI .
    thanks

  • Default user settings in cProjects

    Hi all!
Does anyone know if it's possible to change the default user settings in cProjects at user creation?
Basically, we would like to have the processing mode set by default as "display" instead of "change".
After user creation in the backend/portal, table SPERS_OBJ is not updated with the settings.
When entering cProjects application the first time, I noticed that the table is updated with default value, espacially DEFAULT_MODE = ' '. However, it seems that SAP standard takes "change" as the default value.
I know that we can do this manually in SU01, tab "personalization", then DPR_USER_SETTINGS. However we would like to have this value automatically set, without having to set it manually if possible.
    Thank you.
    Matthias

    Hi,
    Please try following.
PFCG=>enter role=>personalization=>Personalization obejct key DPR_USER_SETTINGS=>select the Processing mode "Display" and then assigned the role to user.

  • Ad Hoc Estimate in cProjects

    Hello everybody,
Reading the SAP help on the topic my understanding is that one can execute ECP for a cProjects before an acount assignment exists for that project. Do I understand it coorectly? If Yes, then how do I get the "AD HOC ESTIMATE" button or link activated.
As of now I can only see change Easy Cost Planning object link for a WBS (under Services) only after I have assigned the PS Project to my cProject.
I maintained a costing variant for ECP Ad Hoc Estimate - in the ERP system under "Settings for Easy Cost Planning".
Here is what SAP help says:
"You are on the Accounting tab page, have costed the simulation or project (Cost button) and saved it.
__Choose Ad Hoc Cost Estimate.__The Change <name of project>: Easy Cost Planning screen appears."
    Thank you,
    Lacramioara

This solved my problem; The formatting is lost, but basically it says you need to configure the ECP costing variant using PADH not PS06....I hope it helps!
    L.
Define Costing Variant- Ad Hoc Cost Estimate
    Use
The costing variant in this Config. Guide is used for Easy Cost Planning that will be used to create the basis for a quotation created by using sales pricing.
In Easy Cost Planning, the costing variant determines the following:
The Purpose of the cost estimate (Costing type)
The prices that are selected to valuate the costing items (valuation variant)
For internal orders, work breakdown structure elements, and ad hoc cost estimates, the dates that apply to the cost estimate (date control)

  • CProjects Controlling Area determination

    Hi All,
I would like to ask a very basic question here.
When we create a project in cProjects how does the controlling area and company code gets assigned? Means where exectly in SPRO do we define that?
We do not mention the Controlling area etc. in the Project Type in customizing, the way we do in project profile for PS. I understand that the Org. Responsible being mentioned in the additional tab of the project definition might determine the controlling area etc. as well but when we do not mention the Org. responsible how does it do so?
I would also like to point out that when we transfer a cProjects project to PS and the same gets transferred as displayed in the Accounting tab--> Account assignment page, how does it pick up the project profile in PS? when I transfer a Project from cProjects, it takes a PS Project profile in ERP and the Controlling area etc. are already defined as per the requirement.
Please suggest. I know this is a basic quetion but I am a little confused here.
    Thanks and best regards,
    Bubul

    Hi Neil,
    Thanks for the prompt reply.
I noticed that PS Profile is fixed as per my earlier information as well, but could you be a little elaborate about the whole assignment and picking. read- how do we fix the PS profile for the cProjects?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Bubul

  • CProject user cannot edit (confirm) their assigned tasks

    Dear Experts,
we are facing an unexpected behaviour on cProjects: project user cannot edit (confirm) their assigned tasks, because the authorizations at the task level for user appear as Read (authorizations view on task), while on the project definition, for the same tasks the user is assigned Write permissions. Something must be happening in between that we are not getting right.
More details on the configuration behind and the process:
    - In Project definition level, project roles (coming from a project template) are staffed to users (business partners)
    - Project roles coming from project template are assigned to a project role type with Default authorization set as Read. Because we want all project users to be able to access in read mode to the whole project and tasks; and then be able to edit (Confirm) only their assigned tasks. Except for the project manager role, who has a different project role type assigned wih Admin default authorization set
    - After making the staffing at project level, this seems to be working fine: all project users have read access assigned at project structure level and rest of tasks, except the project manager who has Admin authorization. And for each task, the user assigned to the task has write permissions.
    - But when a user open the task from the tasks dashboard, and go to the Authorizations tab, then the user has Read permission for the same task, which causes the consequence of not being able to Edit and Confirm.
Can you guide us to understand why the Write authorization is being overriden to Read at user access? Should not the default authorization “read” at project role type be overwritten by the assignment of the user to the task?
Maybe is there other configuration setting that is missing or needs to be checked?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Roberto

Thanks Ravi, I answer your questions:
    1) How did you give write access? - Manually in ACL-Authorisations tab or through selection of responsible role/person in basic tab.
we use the second option. We create projects from templates that have roles assigned to tasks. After we complete staffing in the project, we assign users (business partners) to each project role. After this, automatically, users are assigned as task Responsible and receive their tasks assigned in the task dashboard.
Question here: since we do not use Resources, the field responsible resource is not used/filled- Is this required?
    2) Whether the task accessed by the user is in 'Released' status?
yes, tasks are released, so that ther users receive the task in Tasks Dashboard, but due to the permissions issue, they cannot confirm task
The only possible workaround we have found to solve the issue is to assign Write authorizations to all users, but at project level. So the consequence is that users can edit all the project tasks (not only their assigned tasks) and we want to avoid that. We want users to have read access to whole project and write access to their assigned tasks (by staffinf Users to roles)
    thanks again for help.
    best regards,
    Roberto

    Hi Sarang,
    Pl check the following:
    1. Activate Integration as per project Type - Collaboration Projects --> Connection to External Systems --> Accounting Integration --> Activate Integration
    2. Make General Settings - Collaboration Projects --> Connection to External Systems --> Accounting Integration --> Make General Settings
Object Type: Single Object for controlling internal orders; Frame 09; Use cost/revenue rates from cProjects
    3. Define Cost/Revenue Rates - Collaboration Projects --> Connection to External Systems --> Accounting Integration --> Define Cost/Revenue Rates
4.Define Project Role Types - Collaboration Projects --> Resource Management --> Basic Settings for Project Roles --> Define Project Role Types
    5. Define Project Types - Collaboration Projects --> Structure --> Define Project Types
For the project type that you have selected in step 1 & 2, activate accounting integraton.

  • Migrate Cprojects data from CRM 4.0 to CRM 5.0

    Hello,
Please help me with this ?
We have upgraded the CRM 4.0 (cProjects 3.1) to CRM 5.0 and doesnu2019t bring cProjects data new upgraded server (CRM 5.0).we have installed the add-on CPRXRPM in CRM 5.0 and would like to know how to migrate the cProjects data from CRM 4.0 to CRM 5.0
    Regards,
    SJ

Okay the only question is that is your CRM 40 system and the CRM 2007 separate systems?  If so then you can use the XIF IDOC adapter to setup the transfer between the two systems.
Now if the CRM 40 system is being upgraded to CRM 2007 then you don't have to "transfer" data.
As far as the CRM consultant role, you better understand basic IDOC setup and be able to do data mapping between the older and newer version.  Luckily you shouldn't have a lot of mapping work as 2007 IDOC structure is a refinement of 4.0.
For more XIF information search the CRM general and framework forum.
    Take care,
    Stephen

  • GANTT CHART IN CPROJECTS- 4.0

Can we have 3 sets of Dates (Basic Dates, Forecast Dates, Actual Dates) with both Earliest & Latest Dates options in cProjects as we have in R/3 PS ? If this is not possible, can we view both operative version and project version dates simultaneously in the GANTT ? Is it possible to chose different colours for different sets of dates as defined by the user?

There is no date set  'Forecast' in the cProject as it in the ERP PS.
In the User-settings in the cProject application you can determine which dates should be showed in the GANTT. A dynamisic swith like ERP PS is not possible.
As far as I remember, there is a note, which describes how to set color in GANTT. If you donot find it, please let me known.
    Kind regards,
    Zhenbo

  • Data migration into cprojects

    Hello,
We need to migrate some data from legacy non SAP databases into cprojects.  We will need to create a pd and phases.  Also populate some data into user defined fields on the pd.
Has anybody got an experience of this?
    Options could be:
    lsmw
    microsoft project upload,
    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

    Steve,
you need to scroll down and then the horizontal scrolling bar will be visible to see my full message (it happened to me as well).
Anyway, I am not a programmer myself, but here my understanding from what my developer told me:
you will need basically one progremme to clean the data and consolidated multiple xls into 1 upload file.
the second programme is to effectively upload the data. There are many BAPI's available, depends on what you need to upload, structures, docs, roles etc... Some BAPI's are create, some change. A list (not comprehensive) is in OSS# 882484. They normally start with BAPI_BUS21* (in sa38).
    Cheers,
    Lacramioara
